HellooooooOOOOO!
Happy Monday O-zies!!!:D

Did everyone have a nice weekend? It was quiet but nice here. Some yard work, some playing outside with the dogs. A bit of house work. A bit of scrapping. The weather is supposed to be very nice today and I am off to the lake for an hour or so.

Not much else going on here.

QOTD:
What did you want to be when you grew up (still want to be? :D)

When I was little my first thing was I really wanted to be a vet. Then I realized that I would have to put them down when needed and I couldn't do that. I also wanted to be a hairdresser. I would practice on my Barbie dolls. They all had cuts and color (watercolors worked great! hahah!!), but my parents said I "was too smart to work on my feet all day." Ugh, it still makes me CRINGE!!!
I loved babysitting and thought a preschool teacher would be fun. I had that "vibe" that no matter where I was, little kids would always come up to me and talk. That is what I ended up doing, until I realized I made more money and had more freedom cleaning houses. On my feet. All day. Oh the irony!

Nancy- whew! I am really glad to hear that your son is ok! Hope that he didn't have any car trouble while in NC.
Sounds like you had a very exciting sporting weekend with t e tennis and racing stuff.

Trudy- you are such a good mom and grandmother! I bet all of the kids had a blast. Are the older grands coming back again or will it just be Mason for the rest of the time? I imagine you must be *exhausted*! When I would babysit Christopher, I could not wait to him to go to bed at the end of a busy day.

Sharon- hahah about not being old enough! Sounds like an absolutely beautiful spot for a wedding! It must be weird to live so close but not see her for so many years.
That must have been scary driving, but glad you made it safe.
My only dog was a Sheltie, and he used to "herd" anything we threw. He'd stand over it and proudly bark and bark with pride that he had subdued it! LOL
:spit:
That is too funny!!!

Hope you all have a fab day!

good morning - yesterday was lovely. Got in a good walk after watch the TdF team time trail. I am cheering for team BMC and their leader Tejay vanGarderen and they won the time trial over their big rival team Sky by just 1 sec. Amazing. The team members all start at the same time and then ride as fast as they can and the time counts when the 5th rider crosses the finish line. So they went 17 miles in a little over 30 mins and to win by only 1 sec. I find that so amazing! Also watched Federer lose. But Novak was the better player! Joey cooked dinner, and he steamed cleaned the carpets. And for a reward I took him DQ. It was our first trip - I love the chocolate dipped cone. Since we walked I was surprised I made it home before it melted and I only lost a small be of the chocolate.

Chris so glad that you had a restful day. Have fun at the lake! So glad that your doggies are doing so well! My son had their two dogs spayed and neutered on the same day and they are doing well now with their cones. And he made me laugh in that while they can't chew on their own cones they chew on each others.

Sharon your trip to the wedding sounded iffy but so glad that in the end it was worth it. How fun to be thought of as not old enough for a ride to the ceremony. I am glad that your sister and you were able to reconnect even if just for a bit! Must have been beautiful to be married at the lake's edge!

Trudy continued fun with Mason!

Have a great day all!

QOTD - I always wanted to be a Navy jet pilot. I want to fly on and off aircraft carriers. But being a woman that would never happen and I did stop growing at 5'2".

Today should be pretty quiet for us, but tomorrow goes into all new territory as we'll be taking my sister in for her first chemo treatment. Her story has been pretty involved since June 4th including a diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma. It's been intense and scary as you'll all understand. The first chemo will be inpatient to see how she does given that she's 84 and a bit frail.

Nancy, you see some of the best sporting events! Imagine the time trial was an exciting finish. DQ sounds like a good deal, especially when it didn't melt.

Chris, hope you continue having peaceful days. Oh, the irony of the job on your feet!

QOTD: I too thought I'd like to be a vet - until I helped my father doctor one of our cats. :yuck: I planned for a long time to be an art teacher and got a degree, but was lucky to became a computer programmer instead. Retiring into genealogy has also worked well.
