Blergh, I am tired. I didn't want to get out of bed *at all* today. It didn't help that it was very cold again. It is only 57* right now. On July 10. My friend was down the shore last weekend and said that the water was freezing. I would imagine the lakes around here are cold as well.

I had a decent weekend even if I was disappointed that my brother and my godson weren't able to make it all the way up. My SIL was sick and they were on their way here when my little guy started throwing up. He was somewhat better yesterday, so that was good to hear.

I spent about 2 hours outside pulling weeds and cutting down spent spring perennials. I was facing only in one direction and that shoulder is now tanned a bit and the other is white as can be. hahahaha!!

Leah's mom, Arlene, called last night to let me know that she and her sister were flying down to FL for the week. Her 93-yo mom had fallen and was on her way to the hospital. Thankfully, it was just a low blood sugar episode and not a stroke as they had initially feared. She felt bad that she had to cancel our plans to go to her town pool on Tuesday. I hope that Leah will spend some time here with us so she isn't all alone for the week. I know, she is an adult but she is like my DD too. (Someday DIL???? I hope!!)

I have to call my mom this morning to let her know about the change in schedules since she was going to the pool with us. and then I have to go food shopping. :tape: I won't say anything else about that since you all know how I feel. hee hee!

The best news -- if you aren't on FB-- Trudy's grandson was born yesterday!!!! He looks perfect and beautiful and Trudy looks over the moon!! Darn it, I can't remember his name, Devon? Pfft- my brain is a sieve.

Trudy-- soooo many big hugs to you, to Heather and Jonah, to Mason and to your new grandson!!! We love all of you!!!

Me Me Monday: *tossing a coin between yard work or scrapping this afternoon* Help me choose!

Damned if I know where I got Devon from! Trudy's grandson's name is Hunter. (deleted full name since even though I can see it on FB, maybe Heather doesn't want it for the word to see) I wonder if Mason will still call him Mason Roar?

Saturday's Ooos:

Jean- the weather here in absolutely bonkers as well. Friday it poured all day and was so cold. The sun was out Sat and Sun and it was nice in the sun but chilly inside my house. It is hard enough for me to regulate my body temp (My POTS syndrome messes up my autonomic nervous system which controls that) without the weather adding to it.
When we got to the Dr's office, the nurse, who is my main phlebotomist and one that I have seen for years as I get my blood taken weekly/monthly, told me that she met Scott for the first time, the day he went in b/c the dork stapled his arm. She didn't think about his name until he said that both parents have Chronic Lyme as part of his medical history. She said that he was adorable. Yeah, he kinda is. Then Cait had a tiny spider drop onto her and she was talking to it and then had me hold it while she had her BP/ temp taken.
I had to laugh, telling her that yes, now that she met Scott, she can fully understand that the entire family is a bunch of kooks. :pound:
How did your DH do with his bird count? Did you get out for that this weekend too?

Rae- ugh about losing your post. I am still adjusting to using the Touch on the Wacom and have swiped when I didn't mean to and closed out all of my tabs/applications. Ii try to keep up with Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C so I don't lose too much, but man, it is frustrating when it does.
So happy that Beckham is adjusting to being at the trailer. How long does the fatigue last after a chemo session?
I think I read The Mist a very long time ago. What channel is that on?
I love wildlife but sheesh- not so much when they get into everything like your raccoons just did. So happy that you had a relaxing weekend, I know that you have been working so hard that you needed it!

jean- oh, how fun to see the birds! And grape jelly? Never would have thought that they would like that. LOL

Danielle- that must be unusually hot for you. What a fun time with the water balloons and all of the kids splashing around.

Nancy- I hope that you are feeling better every day, we miss you here!! *gentle hugs*

good morning - my sciatic is still bothersome and does allow much movement but life goes on. My son was involved in a charity event on Sunday - Feeding all kids (or something like that) and Killa Seasoning brought up Chef Shannen Tune from Texas a food network champion. They needed help so my son was asked via one of his fellow mechanics who is also a chef to come. So he went and said he learned so much. They started the smoking and cooking on Saturday so that it would be cooked by Sunday. They expected only 60 people as it was not well publicized but it ended up over 200 people and they had most of the food eaten. My sons went and brought me back food and it was yummy! Well I talked to my son later that evening and he was so happy! The event was held the local Knights of Columbus and he said everyone was so nice. So he is allowed to join as he was raised Catholic. He said the facility is awesome and they have an Olympic pool and they are joining the summer for sure so that my DIL can spend lots of time at the pool. I am so happy they meeting people in their town. Luther is a bit whiny today as the boys have left him. But he has now settled down. Yesterday as I was watching the TdFrance my son happened to come in just as the worst crash happened. After that he called in my DH and I had to rewind so they could watch. He thinks I watch for the crashes but I actually watch to not see crashes. These guys are such amazing bikers. But by the end of the race the winner won by just a few millimeters. The second place guy actually thought he won but the photo showed he lost. By the end of the race several of the top contenders were lost. One a broken collar bone, one a broken collar bone and a broken pelvis and others with multiple abrasions. Today is a rest day so I hope they rest but it is funny they say they don't rest - that if they do not get on their bikes then the next day the muscles just don't work. So I guess they just don't race lol. Today is Manic Monday at Wimbledon. So I have tennis from 7am to 3pm. Still having fun reading.

Chris your day sounds great and they weather is cool but not complaining. How fun that your nurse now knows your whole family. Sorry about your brother and nephew not coming but you all do not want to be sick.

Trudy congrats on the new grandson! That is awesome! Enjoy the time!

Rae that is so awesome that Beckham and Taz enjoyed the trailer time. Bet the BBQ in the outdoors tasted so good! Bummer about the raccoons. I feel the same way about squirrels.

Danielle Hi! That is warm for CO. My sons loved water balloons. I don't know why I loved I am sure they would still enjoy the water play.

Jean that is awesome about the orioles. When in AZ I leaned that jelly feeders are very common and this brings in lots of birds.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Busy doing chores around the house and getting started on desk work soon. I like my change in schedule with starting my work day earlier and getting more done in the morning, thus being able to finish up just before or after dinner time. I don't mind a bit of overload to do in the evening sometimes but it was becoming a habit and I didn't like that. So, I'm becoming more disciplined and staying off the computer more in the early part of the day to focus on my work more.

I got Jen's upcoming birthday gift over the wkend, an electric diffuser. I ordered some essential oils for her too. She's going to love it. She always takes a sniff of mine when she comes into my office. She's been using a relaxation EO blend in her hand/foot cream at night and is happy with that so I know having the diffuser will be good for her.

Beckham's dad was so happy to hear that the Beckham had a great time at the trailer. It was the first time they were separated since the cancer diagnosis last fall. He is hoping to get away again for a wkend next month so it looks like we'll have him again, if all goes well. I enjoyed taking photos of him at the trailer and can't wait to scrap them.

Chris - The Mist is on Comcast so we have to watch it at the trailer. I think it's on the Spike network. I cringed as you said Cait was talking to the little spider. I hate spiders and freak out when one is on me, big or little, doesn't matter.

Nancy - sorry to hear you are still having sciatica trouble. Sounds like a great event your son helped with. That's great about your son being able to join the local chapter of KOC.

Trudy - how's the new baby??? He of course looks so sweet and you look just over the moon happy in your photo! I love the name they chose for him. Hope Heather is doing well and I bet she's glad to have you there to help.

Time to grab another coffee and get to work now, have a great day everyone.

Somehow never got here today! Hope it was a good day for everyone.

Trudy, big congrats on the new grandson! Not on facebook, so glad Chris posted here. Know you're delighted.

The grape jelly on the oriole feeder was new to us this year. The feeder was a present to DH. Only the House Finches has been visiting it, a little, so the oriole family was so nice. They showed again today.

Nancy, still wishing you better!!

Chris, hope you did OK today.

Rae, you always impress us with how much you get done, so getting even better organized with your work time sounds amazing.
