*sad face* I don't like this weather. It is too cold for me. It is 5*F. I need the summer and sun. Trudy, I have been listening to your advice and am taking Vit D. Not sure if it is helping but it can't hurt.

I have been staying layered up inside, but I think I should pull out my fingerless gloves. Maybe that will help my hands stay warmer because once they or my feet get cold, I can't warm up. I was miserable yesterday.

All of my days are a boring blur. LOL I think I got some housework done, and I know that I finished scrapping a page for Trudy's color challenge. And I cooked dinner. That is all good accomplishments, eh?
I wish I could think of what I need to do for today.

I know that I did this to myself, but my Web challenge is making me sad. All of this beautiful greenery and thoughts of spring and &%$@##@ - it is 5*!!!

It is all good. Every day is getting a little bit longer. Focus on that, Faery.
You got this. (Some days, I need a little bit of a pep talk ;) )

Hoping that everyone has a happy Monday!

Nancy- Sorry to hear that the Devils lost in OT, but good for them that they played better at least. You did get much more snow than we did, but we are all still way below normal. How in the world are you able to take Luther out for walks when it is this cold? Heated jacket or not, your feet must be ice blocks. You are a good dog-mom!

Trudy- how nice to have run into your nephew, I know how mcuh you wanted to see them. His poor wife, cold weather and a kidney infection. Yuck.
That is so special that the kids are still so close. I was very close with one of my cousins growing up, like a sister. But she became born again and started pushing that on me. Her son sent me a picture with a note saying how sad he was that I and my kids were not going to be in heaven. He must have been 6-7 yo at the time. I have no issue with anyone's religious beliefs but that was kind of shocking. we started to drift soon after that.

Speaking of my cousins, Caitlyn dropped a bombshell on me about my cousins and uncle, who was once married to my mom's younger sister. He was low-level semi-famous in the 60's as a football player. He was drafted by the Jets. Cait decided to google him a few days ago, couldn't sleep and was curious fo rsome reason. He has a Wikipedia page. (He is dead now) and she read that he was let go of a Denver football team because he was caught in bed with 6 women. This was in 1967, he was married to my aunt and had 2 small kids- my oldest cousin would have been 3, his sister would have been 1? Holy crap!! Cait asked if my mom knew about this and I have no idea. There was a link to a Washinton Post article but I didn't read it.
He was such a a** and really messed up my aunt and cousins lives, psychologically and criminally. My cousin was arrested for passing a bad tuituion check because he had forged it.

Anyway- I digress. By a lot. :p

I hope that he does ok back at work and doesn't push himself. The last thing you want is for him to relapse.

Rae- that is a great night's sleep! I woudl totally eat those perogies- they sound so good!
Yes, you can open up all sunfolders inACDsee. Use the little arrow to drop down all of the sub flders. Then Shift Click to select all of them. That should show you all of the images in there. If that doesn't work/make sense, LMK and I will do a screen shot for you.

Here is some :tea: for everyone!

Chris, I feel for you, dear! And just so you don't think we're out of the cold down here, it was 40 degrees this morning when I awoke. Brrrrr - too cold for this Floridian!

good morning - today I can say it is officially cold - woke up and it was 9 degrees but by the time I walked Luther it was 11 so at least it was above single digits. It was surprisingly not half as bad as I thought it was going to be. But we did do a slightly shorter walk. My DH did have him out early and he is fine. Yesterday was pretty nice as I was in the mood to cook so my DH did the grocery shopping and I made chicken paprika. It was really good. My son asked what is it. I had not made it in years as it uses so much better and then sour cream. But he tasted it and said I should make it more often too funny. My DH went back for 3rds. Always fun went that works. Tonight I have a Devils game, they are playing the Panthers which is a team my team should be able to beat. Not much else going on but trying to stay warm LOL.

Chris I really think you should just by a case of hand warmers and keep them in your gloves or shoes. It is amazing how long they last and they really put out the heat! I see though that by the middle of the week it should be in the 50s to 60s. Our January thaw!

Trudy how fun to run into your nephew but too bad about his wife. I am sure it is a complete shock when you are thrown into winter and never have before. I felt that way when I went to Wisconsin after growing up in Arizona. I bet the cousins have a great time on the slopes. Congrats on your DH finally feeling better. Cute that he apologized for being in your way LOL.

Rae have fun learning about ACDC. I could never go back and tag all my stuff.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies!! I hope that everyone is keeping warm!! We had a big snowfall yesterday afternoon and got about 4 inches of snow, great big, fat snowflakes! It was so pretty!! But when the flakes are that big you just know that eventually it will turn to rain. It did in the evening, but we still have lots of snow on the ground this morning. DH was out shovelling for a bit before the rain started, which I am sure was not the best thing for his cough! He said he was feeling pretty good this morning so off to work he went. He took my CRV to work because it has 4wheel drive and he never did put snow tires on his truck :mmph: Why spend all that money on tires if you are not going to use them??? I will never understand men :gaah:

Chris - Yes this weather is not good for little faery's with Raynards!! I agree with Nancy and think that you should find some of those hot shots or what ever they are called and keep them handy for when your extremities get too cold! I heard from DS yesterday and he let me know that the Auzzies arrived on the hill and they will meet up sometime today. My nephew's wife is already feeling so much better, so hopefully they will get to enjoy their time on the hill while my brother and his wife babysit the little ones and take them tobogganing or whatever. So nice that they will be spending a few days in a cute little cabin on the ski hill!

Deborrah - Hope that the prizes are given out for the Advent very soon! I am sure you are anxious to do your shopping!! Yes that is way to cold for a Floridian ! One year when we took the kids and grands to Disney World in January it was freezing!! There was actually frost and my Daughter had to wear gloves to use her scooter to get around the park. We did not take really warm clothes with us, so it was a shock for all of us too!

Nancy - You are so lucky to have that nice warm jacket for your cold morning walks!! Your dinner sounds amazing! How nice that your DH went back for more helpings!! Hope your Devils do well against the Panthers!! We are very unhappy with our Bruins team this season, its like they don't even care if they play hockey :mmph: Oh well maybe next year??

Rae - I am now officially on the WW site and it has changed a lot since my last time there! It seems much more user friendly and everything is right there at your fingertips! Hope that I will see results soon! I am much heavier than I thought I was and I am sure that all the lying around doing nothing and eating and drinking on our holiday contributed a bit to the weight gain! I dread being on a diet again, but I can't keep going this way, I want to be healthier and weigh less so I can keep up with my grandkids! Also to just feel better for me! I hope that you and Taz are able to get out today for a walk, be careful on those slippery roads!! I would love to tag all my digi supplies, but oh my it would take me a year to do it!! Good luck with your new ACDC!

Today I am stuck in the house without a vehicle, so I will be doing some treadmill walking and see if I can find a good yoga workout to do. DD just txt me and said that their furnace died on them last night! :gaah: she just can't get a break on anything!! Repair guy is coming soon and Jonah went out and got a space heater for her to keep warm with until it is fixed. Mason is at play school today so at least he will be warm. Just what she does not need right now, another expense!! Ok I am off to try to get a page scrapped today. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Good morning, ladies. I am going to pick up my new computer today...yay! Guess what I'll be doing tonight LOL. Reloading, organizing, etc.....for hours. Good thing I have a light work load this month. Setting up the new system is going to take a long time. It'll be fun though. I've got two 1T drives for photos separate from the other drives. So now I will have enough room to import raw photo files to work on and then move them into online storage when edited and remove off the computer. It will be nice to have a photo organizing system in place.

I started playing around with ACDSEE last night and started tagging previews. I have lots to learn and don't want to do much with the program until I learn more but for now, just tagging previews to look at kits (especially Anna's) will be a big help when I'm looking for a kit to work with. I find it loads everything faster too than PS Bridge does. I may just stick with V.15 so won't have to pay more money for the upgrade but will research what the differences are.

Phone ringing....be right back.

I'm back. I'm going to pick up Ava later so she can spend the night with us. Taz will love it. I'll take her home tomorrow around noon. We haven't seen her for weeks. Should be fun. So I don't think I'll be around much later today as I start setting up the new computer and spending time with Taz and Ava. Turns out that the all-in-one computer I am using in the LR has a big problem. I was explaining to our computer guy about the trouble I have booting the system up. It runs fine once it is up and running, but the startup is screwed up. He said that is an indication of serious problems and I should get it looked at before it gets worse. So this computer will get shut down once my new one is up and running and I'll get this in for repairs maybe next month. Boy, it never stops, does it? I have never had so many computer problems all at once.

Chris - fingerless gloves, those hotpocket things, they sound good for Raynaud's. I know how you feel about the weather. I hate the stretch between January til May, so basically I like the second half of the year much more than the first half.

Trudy - this time we got rain, no snow. We still have lots of snow on the ground but no fresh snow and its all getting water-logged. Glad to hear your DH is feeling better. Hope he doesn't overdo it.

Deborrah - we're slightly warmer here. All the snow is starting to melt.

I can't believe it's almost lunch time. I better go. Have a great day, everyone.
