Daily Ooo's: Monday, January 21

Yes I am very late this morning. The kids have no school and I don't have to be off to work until 10 so I slept in a bit. Tomorrow 5 am is gonna be brutal! I love being able to wake up and not have to rush right out of bed. And I do NOT like waking up at 5am. Its too dark and cold. *pouts*

Did all of you hear what today is?? Its our Nana's birthday! Stop by and say happy birthday in her thread Miss birthday girl - nana!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Not much to do here today other than work and clean my kitchen up. I made a roast chicken and stuffing, rosemary potatoes, homemade gravy for dinner last night. It felt so good to have all 4 of us together and a "real" dinner. I did all of the dishes last night but now I have to put them all away, plus get the leftovers into chicken salad and the bones into stock. See this is why I don't like to cook any more- the mess just snowballs!

Thats about it for me. My Me Me Monday might consist of trying to plastic wrap my office window. I haven't gotten around to it yet but it is supposed to get very cold this week so maybe it is about time.
Phyllis- you are getting snow today? It is supposed to get here tonight but I hope it passes me by!! How many days until spring? I guess about 60???

Very cold here...single digits! 3 degrees to be exact!

Finished paperwork this weekend so life should settle down to normal...which still means commitments each night this week until Friday. Oh well, it's doable. Have supper in the crockpot and think that we will have time to get homework done before going to practice tonight so that's a big plus! Still counting down to Maui. Only have 12 business days left. LOVE that!

Morning O ladies!! Yes Chris it is very dark outside at 5am!!! I am up at that time every work day :mmph: I would really much rather be still in bed!! It was a boring :bored: weekend and I never really got much accomplished. I did get a layout done, but can't post it yet and then my mojo went missing again and I just couldn't get motivated to do anymore of anything!! This cold is really still with me and I don't think it will ever go away :hurt: I just want to be well again!! I thought I was there for a few days, but it just keeps creeping back and driving me crazy!! Now with MG sick too, well what can I say??

Chris - Your dinner sounds yummy!! I made a roast chicken last night also, stuffed with garlic, rosemary and limes. It was soooo juicy and tender, but sadly we could not taste it with this dammmmmm cold!!!! Hope you get your window wrapped! Nothing worse than a draft on you while you are trying to work on your computer! NO snow for us, but the fog is very, very heavy and now they say rain for the rest of the week! Hope the snow misses you!

Morning O'ladies!

I'm wishing it were a holiday for me. Craig and I were actually supposed to come home from our trip today. But, decided to come home a day early because our son that we were visiting got sick and thought it best to come home instead of be around a sickie. so, now that I am here, guess I should work. Makes it bad when you office out of the house---so hard to take off.

I probably will go to the city some time today and order my new eye glasses.

I would like to make time to scrap a page tonight. We'll see.....

I slept until 8 this am.....kids are out of school again today...

Yes....I am another year wiser..............pretty soon I am going to be so damn smart you won't be able to stand all the knowledge that flows from my head :rofl:


I HAVE TO GO THE THE GROCERY STORE TODAY!!! we have no milk, drinks, fruit juice (Jaiden is spazzing over this) and numerous other things I have just put off!! So that is the main thing today.


I am going to go get some breakfast shortly....Mike is still in bed....the MAN COLD still has him down...I actually thought I was going to have to take him to the ER last night...he started coughing and could not stop...it went on for three hours. I truly felt sorry for him...it wore him down....it was just NON STOP coughing....but he would not let me take him...he finally stopped around midnight. If the ABC store had been open, I would have made a trip for sure...but I will be picking some up today!!! A little JD and honey would have stopped that in a just a couple of minutes!!!!


Okay...my kiddos are hungry so I am off to get dressed and go get the "crumb snatchers" some food!!!

Good morning - Well today is inauguration day. It is all over the news. As much as I think this is important dont know why they start covering this at 7 am when the oath is not until 11:30 and the address is not until noon. All they do is talk the same stuff over and over just different talking heads. Watched hockey and football. So glad the Ravens won and as good as the coach is of the Patriots he is so arrogant. Always losing coaches in championship games come out and say a few words about their team and their season and congrats to the other team but not him. You have to more gracious in losing than winning IMHO. Love that two brothers are coaching against each other should be fun.

Wow I hate hearing that so many are sick. Hope you all start feeling better. I can take the colds but it is the coughing that drives me crazy.

Well the man cold turned into Pneumonia!!

His breathing got very labored today and I told him he could go peacefully with me to the Dr or I was dragging him kicking and screaming...he was too weak to fight me :becky: so it was a piece of cake to get him in...but OMG!!! Being there for nearly 3.5 hours pissed him off....but after the flu test, blood work and X-rays....it was confirmed...then I spent the next hour and half trying to get his scripts filled....abx..steroids...and hydrocodone for the cough. If he doesn't feel better in 36 hours, we have to go back. Doc said he was borderline WBC of being sent to the hospital.


Well....that is that....my house is still in total disarray...oh well...it will still be there tomorrow!

sounds like there are a LOT of germs in here today!! eeep!! so far we've dodged the flu, etc. i went grocery shopping today and used about 10 antibac wipes on the cart. also, yes, Chris, we got snow. at first it looked kinda insignificant, but it picked up in the early afternoon and we've go a few inches. it is supposed to be SOOOOOO COLD over the next few days!

Nana, how do guys always end up sicker than us, whether they are or not! heck of a way to spend your birthday. well, hope he gets better fast.

Nancy, i managed to avoid ALL the Inaguaration Blab today. i just couldn't take it and all the talk about Michelle's bangs. fascinating....

Terry, sorry you had to cut your visit with your son short. can't believe how widespread sickness is this season!

today i did grocery shopping, bought a pair of cool shoes at T.J. Maxx and watched it snow. and i told my husband over dinner that i didn't know how it was going to be when he retires. as it is, it seems like he's around here too much already! these 3-day weekends are killers. :mmph:

hope your day was a good one. off to shut my eyes for a while.:twitch: i feel the zig-zaggies coming on....
