What a weekend. I honestly don't know what else to say about it except that it was not restful or relaxing at all. I guess I should expect these things, right?

I haven't been upstairs to check on Kibs yet today but before I went to bed, she was still the same as before. Not really eating, but Scott gave her a couple of eye droppers of water. I have to admit I am scared to go up there. :(
I keep hoping that maybe she is eating and drinking when I am not seeing her. Both of my kids had jaundice when they were born, Scott had it seriously and needed to be under the bili-lights for a couple of days and then had to be in the sunshine after he was released from the hospital. I remembered that and opened up all of the curtains to get the sun on her. I have no idea if that would even work but I am trying everything. There are so many more tricks to get dogs to eat, it is a lot harder with cats.

I didn't get much else done, I was exhausted and in pain, mentally and physically, all day.

One "good" note is that I decided that I am not taking Tindamax this week. I was going to make my 2 days Sun and Mon so I wouldn't feel miserable when I went with Caitlyn for the hearing. But I have this feeling that the entire week is going to be a bit rough so I am opting out again.Whatever. :/

That is my depressing entry for today.

It will get better and I will pull through. I always do.

Let me see if can catch up with everyone quickly. I have to get food shopping this morning and run some other errands. It is too cold to be out there. Ick.

Sat:
Trudy- the temps dropped by 40*+ degrees and it is 11* again and a high of 20* My body cannot take this. Send me that warm air!!!! Please!!! I haven't been in the Gallery for a couple of days but I did see one of your hike LOs on FB. How pretty!
Good job on cleaning the pantry, that is something always on my To-Do list and seems like it never gets done.
Are you feeling any better yet? The abx should have been working by now, right?

Nancy- did you lose power because of the wind? I heard that Morris County had a lot of outages the other day. This isn't good weather to lose power at all.
That's great news about your son and his job. So many layoffs happening everywhere and I can't imagine how it would feel to not have job security. But wow, even better news that he got a promotion!!!! :high5:

Jean- even if you could have made it out the other day, it was much nicer to stay home and putter around, seeing the birds and working on your article. You never stop, do you? :D

Cheryl- How did you make out with deleting and organizing your kits? I hate having to do that but it is a necessary chore.

Sunday:
Felis- I am hoping that she will start eating again... I don't even know what to do for her. My suspicion is that it is fatty liver disease since she stopped coming downstairs to eat. We had put out food and water on the stairs but W would bark if she saw her so then we put food at water upstairs. She was always fat so we weren't too worried but maybe it is what put her over the edge. I feel so guilty.

Rae- sounds like you had a pretty good day at the center. How is B adjusting? Glad that she liked your picture.

Jean- The sun was out yesterday here and wow, it was deceiving. :D
One good thing that when Cait and I fight we both know it is just emotions talking and then we can get back to talking about the things that are really bothering us.

Felis-I never understand how people can be happy about snow LOL But I am happy that you are happy. We are supposed to get more snow Tuesday, Wednesday and now perhaps into Thursday. Blech.

It is time for me to go check Kibs. Is it any wonder that my stomach is in knots?

xoxo

good morning - it is cold today in the east, sunny but cold down in the teens but it should get warmer as the week goes on and as Chris said Tuesday is should lightly snow. I am looking forward to warmer. Yesterday was so much fun. My son was going to go with me to autographs from the Devils and watch open practice but he is feeling a bit sick so I left him home and it was just my DIL our friend Carol and I. We had special tickets that let us in to the Open practice. Some season ticket holders only got to have have to autographs but we got to have open practice too. They practiced the power play and they were terrible hope they work on that more. They don't play until Tuesday so they should have time to practice it more. The autograph session was done pretty well except they put two players I wanted with two players that everyone wanted but I decided to go for quantity instead of Taylor Hall and Nico Hischier. I got a lot of compliments on page. It was one I did of opening night so I got a lot of the players to sign by their photo on the ice. They seemed to like the page too. There were not photos so the lines moved really fast so it worked really well. I was very happy. Came home and just rested as my knees hurt which is good as it was good to do that much walking and it was a lot of walking. Came home and actually did some scrapping. Don't know if you watch football but the Viking game ending was magical. I called my boys in to watch it and they could not believe it. Three of the 4 final teams are new and that is pretty cool. My boys have the day off for Martin Luther King Day. They are both sleeping.

Chris I am so sorry to read about your kitty. Don't feel guilty about her deciding to be upstairs. My kitty is also now an upstairs cat. I am sure you have made your kitty feel at home upstairs - we did too for our cat. I am sending hugs. They are such a part of the family. My DH DVRed an animal planet show about dogs and the new tasks they now preform and it was so interesting. Pets really are the best.

Felis I like snow too. We should be getting maybe an couple of inches. Just enough to look nice but not cause too many problems.

Trudy saw your creek/hike pages and wow that was one beautiful hike. Hope your washer and drier come soon. I would love a new one but ours just keep chugging away so why spend the money. They are from 1974 Maytags. No fancy buttons just variable wash setting and temps hot, cold warm. But it works.

Rae sounds like the visit went well. so glad! Glad that Taz had a good time too! Hope she is getting a lot out of the center!

Jean so glad you cancelled. Football was very exciting on Sunday. I would like to see some team besides the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Cheryl I commend anyone who declutters. I need to declutter my photos.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Thankfully it is not so foggy this morning, yesterday the fog did not lift around our area until 12:30!! It was a gorgeous sunny day everywhere else except for a few areas and ours was one of them. Oh well when the sun finally burned off the fog it was such a nice day! Hoping to see the sun again today for a bit and then back to the rain for a few more days. Not sure if I will be hiking on Wed. or not it looks like it will be a wet, soggy day. But who knows the weather forecast changes every day it seems LOL. I was absent from here yesterday, but DH and I got so much accomplished. We got the fridge moved back into the suite (not an easy task!), also moved the loveseat from the suite back into the den, not heavy, but very awkward! Then I vacuumed and steam cleaned all of the floors, it is nice to have the house back to normal again! I cleaned the upstairs bathrooms, vacuumed and washed all the floors and got a few loads of laundry done. Can't wait for the new washer and dryer to come, hopefully on Tuesday. Then we hauled a bunch of yard waste and our old treadmill that has not worked for ages to the dump. It was a very busy day! Now today I don't have much to do except work on my recipe book and hopefully scrap a page and organize what to do for the challenges here at the O.

Chris - I am so sad to hear about your poor kitty! It is hard to think that they can be so sick! I know when Mr. Abu got so terribly sick I felt so helpless, poor kitty went blind as he had liver failure, but he was old and really there wasn't much I could do to help him, except to end his suffering. I hope that your sweet kitty is not in pain! I am sure that he has been quite happy being the upstairs cat, much less stressful for sure! Please don't feel guilty, you are so kind to all of your pets and have such a big heart my friend, I know it must be very difficult for you

Nancy - Did you watch the game between the Bruins and the Canadians? It was like winning the Stanley cup for my DH LOL so hard to watch shootouts! I know that the Bruins can play better hockey than they did and the Canadians get so many breaks, hopefully the next match between them will be even better! What a fun day you had with your Devils yesterday, you must have been in hockey heaven! Yes that ending of the football game was really something to see!! Your washer and dryer are from the 70"s??? really??? Wow they sure don't make them like that anymore, seems now you are lucky if your appliances last 10 years! Hope your knees are feeling better today! DH goes for his MRI on his knees in February, hoping that they will have some kind of answer as to how to make them feel better! He is too young for knee replacements!

Felis- I think you are the only person here that ever says they are happy to see the :smow: I am glad for you though! Yes I will print the cookbook when I finally get it done. I have many recipes that are on my kobo tablet or my computer, but I really like having a book handy on the counter to look at, there is just something about the feel of a book. I am feeling so much better now that the meds have done there work, so I really don't feel like I need to see the Dr. again, unless something flairs up in the next while. Thanks for being concerned!

Rae - Sounds like your visit with B went very well! I hope that she is benefiting from the re-hab and that all goes well for her! What did you think of Bowen Island? Did you get to see much of it or just the centre where you spent your day? I know that Mondays are full of work for you, so I hope that you get all that done easily today.

Jean - Glad to hear that the sun is shining in your area! Hope your trip to the library was good too! What kind of movies do you get from the library? Are they documentaries ? Enjoy your day today!

Cheryl - Hope you got lots of organizing done, something that I keep putting off, but when I get new kits now I try to tag them better than I used to, still not a good as I should and I think it would take me months to do it all properly :gaah: I don't have the patience for something like that! LOL.

Ok ladies, I need more coffee and then I better get dressed and get on with this day! Hopefully it will be nice quiet day for me and for all of you too!

Good morning, ladies. I'm just popping in quickly to say hi and will come back later when I have a few more minutes. I need to get some desk work done quickly and then will be popping out to the Purolator store in our area as a box has come for me from Ontario, that my cousin sent to me with photos of the family from years ago. Can't wait to see what photos there are. I'll be scanning them to scrap with at some point.

I'll be back this afternoon to read the personals and chat a bit. Work-wise....I think this is going to be a pretty decent day (for a Monday) as there wasn't as much back-log from over the wkend like there usually is on a Monday morning....yay.

Be back this afternoon. Have a great day everyone.

Lightly snowing here but not so cold, maybe 26*. No special plans today for the MLK holiday but do need to do regular Monday stuff like bills. We enjoyed the weekend football, especially the Vikings big ending, and working on the trivia puzzle. I got movies at the library, they are just a miscellany of dramas that we didn't see at the movies. I got Wonder Woman for me. I always try to get a selection so DH can find something he'll like. Most of you watch all kinds of things on your TVs that we know nothing about. We only do basic network TV and even then, only I watch some of the shows on my computer. No cable, Netflix, Hulu, etc. And we don't seem to make it to the movies either, so that means the library for DVDs for anything but sports which we watch while out to dinner if on cable. More than any of you wanted to know. :tape:

Chris, sending hopes for the kitty and you and all. Guess it'll be a tough week no matter what.

Nancy, what a fun time and how super to take a LO for the autographs! You do such wonderful hockey pages so it's nice the players got to see one. Hope the guys are fun to have around on the day off. Maybe they can do the work and walk Luther to save your knees.

Trudy, so glad to hear you are feeling much better. And what a lot you two got done yesterday! Sounds like a lot of laundry has still gotten done in the jury-rigged old washer. The new one will hopefully be a big improvement.

Rae, nice to have a less heavy load for Monday. Hope you get done easily.

Felis, those of us lamenting our cold and snow have to wonder about you being happy to have it, but good for you! Whatever pleases you will wish you get.

Wishing all a good day and good thoughts of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Good morning ladies,
Monday was terrible!!! And this is bad sign for the whole week, ugh! Maybe I have to agree with you and started it in Sunday :) . I'll try to come back later and catch you all.

Chris, fatty liver disease match to ages and the symptoms of the cat, but then will need 2-3 weeks before pills to have results, just follow to not go worse and be patient.
