Happy happy Monday! How are you all doing today? It is a new week, a fresh start (???- please let's not have another repeat of last week although I am very fearful we will on some level).

The past weekend was a blur, the entire week was a blur. Was it really less than a week ago that I was saying that I hoped that Tuesday night was the last one where I would wake up to check the news? I know that was in reference to election results but sheesh. Can the news just stop so we all can breathe?

I didn't do too much yesterday, although I did post a LO of my sweet Cordelia. And I got to play with all four of them for a bit. Their little feet sound too cute on Cait's wood floor. Talk about tiny pitter-patter
I sort of caught up on a few things around the house but you can't tell by looking at it. heh

Today I am working on food shopping but I want to call the FP to place an "order" first. I need to get some paper goods and cleaning supplies and if I don't have to put them on the credit card, that would be a huge help.
I got on the scale and I only gained 2 pounds over the last two months. Of course, I was already 5 lbs over than I was initially- and 7 pounds is kind of a lot when you are only 4'10" yikes. When we were watching The Mayor, Cait googled how tall Holly Hunter is and we were shocked that she is taller than both of us. She is 5'2" -- which makes her 2" taller than Caitlyn and 4" (now that I am shrinking) taller than me.

Aside from that, I don't have much happening here today. I am not sure if Scott is heading home today or tomorrow, hope that they stay the extra day if they can.

Have a fab day!

I'm sorry, I'm overworked and exploring ability of my body to take caffeine , so I'm not able to do regular post!
Bud had to jump with this serious prescription to Chris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqwJbiPXh-Y,
OK it's obviously too cold for garden, but replace it with other hobby!:rockon:

Trudy- you said the magic words of not having a busy weekend and the Universe delivered LOL It must have been nice to have someone making you laugh while you waited. The day after the riots, the four of us were laughing at something that one of Scott's friends said and then Cait found some music video of it and we were *crying!!!* I should find the link and share it. It felt so "releasing" to laugh that hard.
I am so sorry that you are missing your kids and grands so much too. I think that isolation is getting to everyone. We haven't had much opportunity to use the heater. My parents face it to us the day before we got 16" of snow, then it was too cold to visit for long on Christmas Day. I hope this week works out.
I haven't heard anything about Yellowstone, what is it about?
The Stand is on a service that we don't have I think... is it on HBO maybe?

Kay- (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) your LO with the journaling makes me want to hug you so tight. Sounds like you had every nice visit with DD and GSon- how is the fingernail doing, getting closer to the tip?

Cheryl- hugs ya back!!!

xoxo

good morning - it is a gray day and I would like to see the sun. Yesterday was nice with a long walk with Luther and football games. Made a good dinner and easy clean up. A one pot chicken and rice with veggies - cherry tomatoes and spinach. Warm tasty and healthy. My DH is off to work so today is a home alone all quiet day. I will enjoy.

Chris I had no idea that you and Cait were that short. I am only a little over 5'1" and I feel I have dominate short genes as my parents were both tall and my DH is tall but my sons are in the 5'10" range. But I always say that short people take up less of the planet and it resources so we are good for the environment. Good luck with shopping. While I hope for a less stressful political week I feel that there must be a reckoning for those that caused and participated in the insurrection.

Felis sorry you are overworked. Hope caffeine is okay for you. I will check out link.

Kay wow I cant believe how long it is taking for your finger to heal. You have good family to help you. It is nice to crawl into fresh sheets.

Trudy you and your MG are have busy weekends. LOL. Does he spend his week thinking up things to do? lol We have recycling come twice a month. Just have to put the stuff by the curb but we pay for it we don't get paid. It is nice when all that is gone. I watched hockey game last night on phone via facebook live of my Devils vs Devils in preparation of Thursday's game. I am so looking forward to watching hockey.

Jean I saw that Cleveland had fireworks for the Browns after they defeated the Steelers. Congrats. I watched the game and while I figured they would win I hated seeing the Steelers make that come back.

Waving to all.
Have a great day!

Morning ladies... it was a dark and dreary morning when I crawled out of bed. The rain has stopped for now and I can even see some blue sky out there. I doubt that will last long though as we are to have much more rain for the rest of the week. :rain: Oh well its why everything grows so big and green out here right?? Yesterday was nice as we took the wine to MIL and FIL. I also made a banana loaf in the morning to take up to them. I had to make it in my toaster oven as my wall oven is still Ka-Put!! :mmph: I wonder just how long its going to take to get the part that the repair guy seems to think we need. We had a nice visit with the In-laws and they are looking very well and seem to be coping with all of the craziness of Covid! DH and I went for a nice long drive home and did some sight seeing. I was txting with my SIL and she told me that she got her vaccine shot the other day. She is the only one allowed to see her Mother in the Extended Care Home and there was a case of Covid in one of the workers there. Not in the area that her Mom is in, but they wanted her to get her vaccine right away just in case. She was nervous about getting it, but said that there were no side effects from it so far, so she is feeling better about it now. Today is my very quiet day where I have no where to go and all my housework is done, so I intend to get a layout done today!

Chris - The Stand is on CBS All Access. Not sure if you are able to get that or not?? It was filmed here in B.C. and is on every Thurs. night. I hope you are able to see it! Did you see the original?? Yellow Stone is about a ranching family in Montana and Kevin Costner is the main character. It's filled with lots of action and we are loving it! I won't say more than that in case you start to watch it. It is in the fourth season and we are just finishing the second one. Hope that you will get your visit in with your parents and that the heater keeps you all toasty warm! Talk about the power of suggestion... the repair guy just called and is on his way here LOL.

Nancy - Enjoy your quiet day! I always love my Mondays alone, but then as the week goes on I am longing for some company! I had no idea that you were not very tall and I love that you good for the environment because of it LOL. DH and I are looking forward to the hockey too! I will have to sign us up for IPTV again so that we can get the games from the States. I am sure that they will only be showing the Canadian ones here.

Kay - How lovely to have the fresh sheets on your bed! Your kids are the best! I know that these anniversary's are so hard and I can't imagine how you must long for your mate! Know that we are all here for you sweet lady! Sending you lots of gently hugs!

Felis - That is a good thing that you are busy with work stuff right?? Hope you were able to cope with the caffine! Thanks for the link it was great!

Alright I need to get dressed before the repair guys arrives. I hope that he can get this darn thing working again and that any parts are covered by warranty!! Have a great day ladies!! Stay safe!!

Late getting in here today. Had a broken night's sleep. Feel asleep at 9PM but woke up at 12:15AM and was awake until after 1:30... slept until 7. Got up to 26* with frost on the roofs. It is noon and only at 38*... brrrrr!!! The cold front came through on Saturday and it has stayed cold since then. Need to go to the grocery store but think I wait until tomorrow.

The broken/torn nail has only grown about half the distance from the original injury to the tip of the nailbed so it still has awhile to go before it grows out. Just think of how long it takes your nails to grow and that makes sense that it is taking a long time to finish growing and healing.

Chris, didn't realize you were that short. I am 5'3" and feel short around my sons/son-in-laws/grandsons (& hubby) who are over 6' tall. One DD is 5'8" but the other 2 DDs and the DD-in-laws are short like I am. Like Nancy's take that us short ones are good for the environment! :)

Trudy... so sorry that the wall oven still isn't fixed yet. What a PITA.

Need to get a load of sheets laundered and put away. That will be the extent of housekeeping chores for the day. Too tired to do much - so may spend the afternoon reading. Cold winter days make me want to snuggle under my throws and read. I don't watch TV or movies... so reading is my pass-time.

Good afternoon all. Checking in - weather is in the high 30's but Daisy and i still took a nice long walk. It's just good to get out of the house when the sun's shining. Yesterday, I stupidly didn't wear my wool beanie. Wore my baseball cap and my ears got cold. Didn't make that same mistake today.

Have a good Monday - what's left of it.

Hugs

Good morning. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Linda Slycord. My husband and I have two high school students. Shaun is a senior and Sydney is a junior, I got into digital scrapbooking here at the O when our kids were little. Then sports activities pulled me away. We are now entering a phase where they both drive and ai am not quite so overwhelmed. I have a new great nephew and so it seems the perfect time to hop back in to the O!

Hi Chris and Trudy!

Good afternoon everyone. The days are flying by. Between scrapping duties, desk work and feeding/watching/playing and training with Bella...I have no other spare time. I had to laugh at the iphone report i got today that said my usage was down 75% from the week prior. Ha ha...no wonder. I have no time to play on internet, go on amazon or pinterest, read my digi book, etc.

I'm busy in a good way, loving the time with Bella. Taz loves it too, playing with her a bit, running thru the yard together, but mostly standing watch over her.

I'm probably not going to be able to come in the mornings much to say hi for awhile until things settle down.

Hope you all are doing ok and staying healthy.

When I logged on this morning, I noticed that my post count was 27,997. Not one to be obsessed with numbers (right...), I did get to 28,010 before closing the computer this morning. Some awesome stuff in the gallery made that pretty easy. Now, to get ready for work.
