Why does it have to be Monday?
(duh! because yesterday was Sunday!)
All I can say is that darn, I am tired. I slept horribly last night. The dogs were acting weird, I couldn't get warm, my shoulder and hip hurt. All things that are typical yet annoying. I have been up since 3 am. It is going to be a long day.
But it is really good since it is light out at 7 am and we are above freezing today. At least for now we are, temps are going to drop during the day. But I will take what I can get.

I got a few things done around the house yesterday and will keep working on my list today. I had a list of things in my head while I was awake last night but do any of you want to guess what happened to it? Poof! It is gone!

So rather than me staring at my monitor trying to think, I am going to post this and wish you all a very happy day! xoxo

Trudy- how was your time with your brother and family? I bet you looked amazing, that color sounds like it would be stunning on you! Love that shopping karma!

Rae- Ack!! Thank goodness that Taz is a good boy in the bathtunb or that would have been a bad end to a nice day. Why do dogs do that, run around like maniacs when they get out of the tub?
Did Jen and Darrell have any luck getting the Anycast stick to work?

Jean- glad that DH is feeling better! Enjoy the day!

Good morning girls,
I hope you have a great Monday or at least more successful than mine!
This morning I spent years (almost literally ;) ) in searching for folder with winter pics of my cats seeing the snow for first time, which I was make before few years, but without success (so I used another photos). May be they are one of these from the broken disks. I hate this! These disks was from different brands, but good brands like HP, I don't have any idea how they crashed, but their number increases. This year I really have to invest into the recovery program (I still wait to catch it on deal) and in flash drive were to save copy of all my photos. Will be good also if I organising them better. But whole this will be so time consuming so I'm not hurry.
Which reminds me other story. I know girl which continue to to record in notebooks actors from every movie which she watch and liked, and to make records in which movies have played her favorite actors, even after she knows for existing of IMDB. I'm always found this for totally waste of time, but now I realised I'm in the same position. Probably some of you remember my enthusiasm in making yoga cards from previous month. Before few days I realised that this 'brilliant idea' probably is come on someone else too and ta da I found in Pinterest site called yogajournal.com where the similar thing is already created. It's kind of relieved, because now after I watch the video with my instructor have just to find the same poses and put them in folders for next quick remind. But it have few things which I'm annoyed: description is too long, it's not plasted around the pose, so have to scroll down and of course most distracted is that every poses is shown by diferent model. I'm only step away to become crazy as my friend and to continue make my own cards :der: . I found also some things that I like much, like this sweet preview of the exercise which I make this month.

Chris, this yarn is so adorable, my favorite color for clothes! I'm so impressed by you! I only started few projects, but never finished them. I really have to do it! Nope, Tiny start to shake at the snow after few minutes, so she don't play and her visits outside are just to do what is necessary, this dog is mostly like a cat :) , even worse, because when I allows them some of the cats comes and play in the snow too. Probably Cait can't see Quilliam, because of the time zones. I watch it in my mornings and when the clock on his webcam shows 2:15 am and he eats. Once after the lights turn off he is active for very long. Sorry for the difficult start of the day! That make two of us :) , hope others are better!

Trudy, Cherry Delight sounds delicious! Have fun with your family! Congrats for the new top and especially hooray that you found it on deal!

Rae, LOL, Taz is such a sweetie! How was called this, 'mimicry' or something like that, when one predator try to masked his signs so to to deceive others :D , how fun!

Jean, I'm so in love with your LO with the little bird! It's totally adorable! As for Quill in my defense I will say that this morning he did many more things, but I watched much less than in the weekend  .

Nancy, !

Have a lovely week you all!

good morning - Well yesterday was a total washout. My backyard was a swamp. My DH took Luther out to park and they chased geese. It would make a great photo but I don't let Luther chase geese does not seem fair to the geese. At least Luther did not follow them into the lake. So my poor Devils lost both games this weekend. The refs again gave (Sorry Trudy) a goal to Boston that no review could prove did or did not cross the line yet the ref said it did. My team gave up two stupid short handed goals. You cannot play sloppy against a really good team like Boston. But Eddie Lack (I think he is the 4th goalie the Devils have used) was actually pretty good. No hockey today but they play the Flyers in Philly on Tuesday. But this month is going to be good for the Devils as near the end of the month they are retiring my favorite Devils jersey Patrick Elias. We get to attend a question and answer session with him and he will be at the Feb Devils fan club meeting. He is just the nicest and he was good.

Chris that is something that you did not get that much rain. Hope your Monday goes well. Glad that you found the yarn. Have fun finishing the project.

Felis how fun to wake up to a white wonderland. I bet Biggie had a great time in the snow.

Trudy the dessert sounds good. I bet everyone loved it. Saw the cute photo of facebook of you and little kids. Sounds like you had fun with everyone!

Rae we keep towels and blankets in the car too for when needed with Luther. Used to be for the kids but now for the dog LOL. So glad you had such a good time.

Jean sorry you got some snow but it seems like you like us are going to be getting some much warmer weather. My river was running very high from snow melt and all the rain. We got over an inch and a half.

Sharon how fun to have been on the float. Everyone always says how fun it is to be in Mardi Gras.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. It's a holiday here today but I'll be working as I have backlog desk work. I took some time to relax this morning and read my book (Iron Gold #4 Red Rising Series) which I'm getting into more and more as I get further into it. I had to force myself to put it down to say good morning to you ladies and then need to hop in the shower, dress and get to work. Maybe I'll sneak in a bit more reading time this afternoon. I am going to take some time to scrap too later today.

Woke up to freezing temps (25) this morning and the poor little hummingbirds were frantic, trying to get a drink in the frozen feeder. I would have put the red towel around the feeder had I realized how cold it was going to get, poor little birds. I've gotten new sugar water ready for them and will put the red towel around it to help keep it warmer. They were so hungry that they were landing on the feeder as I was holding it and were just about landing on my hand. They have been feeding non-stop now for the last 1/2 hr, constantly taking turns.

I'll definitely be bundling up when I take Taz out to the dog park later. We had a nice evening. Jen came for dinner and her and D got the new Chromecast partially working. So D was happy. He needs to continue to get it all set up but some things are working so he knows it is functioning properly. The Anycast stick was cheaper then the Chromecast and was a piece of junk. They couldn't get it to work at all. We then watched Daddys Home 2 and it had us laughing all the way thru it. I never did get any baking done so hopefully today I will. I still want to make cookies and/or muffins.

Chris - hopefully you warm up and feel better, and get some things done on your list.

Felis - love the chart of yoga poses. I'm visual and like to see the poses too.

Nancy - we don't let Taz chase the geese/ducks either. I was surprised that he didn't even want to when he saw them on Saturday. Maybe he is finally getting used to seeing them and is losing that instinctual urge to hunt. Hope so, b/c it'll make it easier to take photos when he is with me b/c I spend a lot of time making sure he is not charging off after them.

Trudy - new hair color? I didn't read later yesterday so maybe you added to what I saw in the morning. I new you were getting your hair done but don't remember reading about a change in color. Did everyone like the dessert?

Everyone else....hope all is well.

I'm getting into the shower now and getting on with my day. Have a great day everyone.

Good Monday Morning everyone!! It is a gorgeous sunny day and with DH feeling back to his old self and it being a holiday we are off to a hike to Stoney Hill today. It should be a great photo op for sure with not much cloud cover! We are just waiting for it to warm up just a bit more before we go. Last night was fun with my nephews two sweet little girls, so cute! Dinner was great and we had a great visit with everyone! This morning we facetimed with Heather and Hunter and they told us all about their weekend. They spent two nights at a very nice hotel in London Ontario, huge pool area and they had a poolside room. They had a lot of fun, but of course now the boys all have colds, Heather is the only one who does not, which is a change LOL. The only plans for today are to get the house vacuumed and go on this hike. Hopefully I can spend some time here and do some behind the scenes work on the challenges for next month.

Chris - Ugh on the terrible nights sleep! I feel your pain! Nothing is worse than when you have to try to make it through the day after a horrible nights sleep! I hope that you can remember your list that you made in head last night, I often do that and then when you wake up later on poof its gone :gaah: I suppose a notepad beside the bed would be a great idea. I love that yarn that you found is so very pretty!! It would make a lovely crochet cowl and looks like it would be cozy warm! I keep thinking that I should knit something like that for my hikes that are on the cooler side, I love it when my neck is nice and warm! I hope that your sleep tonight is so much better!!

Felis - How nice that you got to spend some time outside playing in the snow! I can totally relate to the frustration of trying to find the right way of storing your photos etc. I have two external hard drives and so far they are trouble free and working perfectly, but I know that I need to find another way of preserving all my photos on and online site. I am just to cheap to pay for it :becky: Those yoga cards are just adorable!! I love them!! A much more fun way to do your yoga poses!

Nancy - Sorry that your yesterday was a total wash up! We did not get to see the game last night because we were visiting my brother and family, but DH did say that the Bruins got a lot of penalties!! That really sucks about the goal that was given when it never was really determined to actually being a goal! So frustrating :frusty: I hope that your day today will be much better, seems like this has not been a good Monday so far for all of you  Not good that your DH lets Luther chase the geese, he will think that he can do it all the time now. I am sure you are not happy with that! This month sounds like it will be a fabulous one for your hockey enjoyment!

Rae - Ewww must have been a very smelly Taz rolling in the poop!! Glad that he got his bath and so funny when they run around like wild after the tub! Thanks for the dessert idea, it looks really yummy. I did not have any dessert (too full from all the other dinner) but everyone else loved the Cherry Delight! However Alana, my nephews wife does not tolerate dairy, so she did not have any either  Oh well she was fine with it and apparently she has had an allergy to dairy her whole life and really just found out about it in the last year or so. She feels so much better no more stomach issues or aches like she has always had her whole life. Amazing!! She was very interested in my Keto diet and was amazed at the weight loss. She is very tiny already so she does not need to watch her weight, lucky girl!! LOL. So glad that you got over to see B! I bet she was thrilled to see all of you! Are you swamped with work today? or are you enjoying this Family day with no work to do??

Jean - So good to hear that your DH is feeling much better today also! Enjoy the Olympics! Canadians are doing pretty well with the medals so far! I am hoping to watch the skating again at some point and love the snowboarding too!

Sharon - Ohhhh Mardi Gras again!! how fun! Hope you are enjoying all the activities!!

Ok I am off to get more coffee and then my shower and get busy with a few other things before out hike this afternoon. Have a better afternoon everyone, do something that makes you laugh!!

:hello: Rae we cross posted this morning, no new hair colour just a few low lights and highlights and covered the grey! Got my hair cut a bit shorter than usual also. Feels good! I have to re-fill our feeder also, not sure if it was frozen this morning or not, we have it down on the front lower porch now so I don't get to see it as often, hopefully the poor little hummers were not suffering from no food this morning!

We have sunshine today! It has been so gray I almost forgot what sun looks like. DH didn't sleep well so didn't go to Hum & Strum, then he slept just fine after shutting off alarm (well after one coughing fit.)

Chris, things here aren't remembered very well unless written down (if we can find where we wrote it.) Do what you can today then collapse. Get someone else to fix dinner. Wishing you better sleep tonight.

Felis, what charming yoga cards. Glad you still get to watch Quilliam but not for too long. :D And your friend with the movie stuff, IMDB doesn't have her memories in it, so that part only she can do. But yes, probably nuts. Like the rest of us.

Nancy, are grown men still inside the nasty little boys who chase things and throw sticks at them just to see them run/fly? Your DH is doing Luther no favors letting him chase geese. Although the resident geese aren't very nice critters either. Hope you have fun at the Devils activities but also hope they win some more.

Rae, too bad you have work on the holiday, but sounds better than your normal Monday. Good for you getting the new sugar water out for the hummers. For them to nearly land on you sure shows how much they needed it. Must be a delight having them over the winter.

Trudy, so glad your MG is feeling well again. Hope mine gets there though he is better most of the time. Today's hike sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

Wishing all a great day!
