Whew!!! I made it! What a strange day it was too. But that part of it is over and now I need to get my act together to start Christmas shopping. And baskets, I need to get rolling on baskets. And baking, and decorating, and... ;)

Gary and Scott did great yesterday. Scott sold 2 or maybe three of his framed bugs. Gary sold three of the dog leash hangers. Cait sold a bunch of cards and I sold a bunch of things too. The only people that showed up for us was family but that was ok. My brother sent up some money with my mom for pizza so I didn't even have to cook dinner. woot!

The dogs were really well behaved- to the point that we were kinda shocked with Whisky. She is such a cutie and was very happy getting snuggles from everyone. We all love how she snuggles back too. Yup, we were crazy to keep her but it is all good. :pupkiss:

Today I am prepping for food shopping then I have to run over to Walgreen's to pick up what I had ordered from there for the guys.

OMG. Cait just came downstairs to give me a bit of news. Backstory: A couple of months ago, Brendan was parked in front of my house and a school bus bit the side of the car and broke the side mirror off while he and Cait saw it happen from her window. Last week, a pickup truck was doing donuts in the ShopRite parking lot and hit his car while he was at work. They have it on security camera but they can't see who did it since it was dark.
Cait got a text from him right now that his car was hit. Again. While he was sleeping. The "good" news is that the other driver stopped so at least there's that? :noidea: If I didn't see these things with my own eyes, I would think he is a pathological liar. This poor kid!!!!!
I said to Caitlyn that as a mom, I would say don't drive with him, but he wasn't even *in* the car for each of these!!

Anyway, I gotta get going...never dull...

hugs!!!

Good morning to Trudy, and Felis and to all of you who stop by!! Hugs!! if you are new to the Ooos or just lurk, please feel free to give us a wave!

Rae- did you survive Costco? And how was decorating? I saw the pic of you and Jen, so cute!
Oh no. Did Bailey show up? I hope so. You must worry so much about her. I am so sorry that you have to go through this and Jen too:(
I did relax afterward watching TV, pizza, and wine with the fam!

PS: Another update from Brendan-he car has to be towed, the woman who hit him bumped her head and is off to the hospital and her kids that were in the car are blaming him for having a black car parked on the street!! WTH???

now I really better go...

good morning well this is the first morning that we have really had a frost. It looks so pretty but not so much for my son who has to scrape it all off before he can drive. And then there is fog up north so not sure if he will fun into that or not. But it will be interesting to walk and see the frost. Poor Luther I took him to get a bath and about 15 min later they called and said he was not feeling it. My DH went to get him and tried with him helping and it still did not work as he tried to jump out of the tub. Poor guy. Not sure why this week he did not want a bath. He has never done this before. He needs this toenail clipped and so I will have to figure out what to do. I know his doggie day care has grooming so I may go that way. But I am bummed as the staff at his bath place is so nice.

Chris so glad everyone did well. You were so right about the dog treat holders! I bet you are glad the prep is over and now to bask in the end results. Now to rest and relax. How sweet to be given money for pizza. I can't believe they are mad at Brendan for parking his car on the street. I am sure the mom was not paying attention. That is just crazy how many times his car has been hit. It must be a magnet.

Rae hope the decorating went well along with the trip to Costco. I bet you and Jen and hopefully Bailey had a great time. How does Taz do with a Tree?

Jean hope the meetings went well! How is the new car doing with its heated seats.

Trudy saw on FB that you and the grandkids decorated the tree. Looks like you were busy this weekend. How fun. Outlander was great.

Felis how are things.

Have a great day all!

Morning lovely ladies... It is very frosty here this morning! A good morning to stay home and get my housework and few other things done today! We had a very nice weekend with the kids and grandkids! As soon as we arrived it was tree decorating and then we played a few boardgames and just kind of spent some quality time with the kids. My son got a promotion a few days ago and so we toasted him with a glass of wine before they headed out to a Christmas Party. The only bad thing about the promotion is that it will come with a transfer  so that means they will be moving at the end of this coming summer. It is good that we will get to spend some nice time with them in Paris before the hectic moving starts to happen. I suppose the good thing is that it will most likely be to Ottawa, so they will be closer to Heather and family. Anyway I won't dwell on it and just enjoy what time we have together this Christmas and until the end of summer. So today is lots of house cleaning and :washing: and then I have to get a challenge started for the upcoming 12 days of Christmas here at the O. I also need to start bringing up a few more things from the crawl space.

Chris - Hooray for the great sales at your open house! Now you can relax and concentrate on Christmas and just chilling with the family! OMG poor Brendan and his car fiascos!! Why is it that the people at fault always try to blame someone else?? Take responsibility for your own actions people!!! What the heck difference does it make what colour of a car the poor kid has? I am sure his car was not the only one parked on the street!! I hope you enjoyed your pizza last night, what a nice thing for your brother to do! Good luck with your food prep today and now you will be wrapping up gifts too. It is always something, right? But I know that you will start to have that nice Christmas Spirit feeling now. Have a great day!

Nancy - Oh dear, poor Luther! I wonder what that is all about? Hopefully he will let the doggie daycare staff give him his bath this week! Lots of frost here this morning also, the heat pump is running full steam and we have the fireplace going today also. The moon was gorgeous last night on our drive home and it lit the evening sky up so bright! We knew that it was going to be a very chilly morning this morning because of it. Hope you are enjoying a nice day of scrapping etc.

:hello: to everyone else, I will pop in later on to catch up. Right now I need to get the coupons sent out to those who completed the challenges for November, so they can get some Christmas shopping done here at the O! Have a wonderful morning everyone!

Good morning, ladies. It was so nice to sit in the LR last night and have the tree and fireplace lit up. Because our house has small rooms, there isn't really anywhere else to put the tree except in the corner beside the fireplace where the small table and computer are, so I'm going to miss having a computer in the LR to scrap on while hanging out with hubs, watching TV but it is only for a month and I can still scrap a bit in my office, I just don't often scrap in there in the evenings. Hubs likes us to hang out together after dinner which I agree with as we don't see each other during the day much usually. Taz also likes us to all hang out together in the evening. I'm sure I've told you all many times how Taz comes into my office and starts tapping against the back of my chair with his paw, staring intently at me, wanting me to come upstairs so we can all hang out in the LR together (what a spoiled dog LOL).

Unfortunately, Bailey didn't come yesterday. It's so sad to think that I might not see her this holiday season much or at all. But I will keep trying and hoping that we see her. Jen & I talked about it for a few minutes and then we put those feelings aside and concentrated on having fun putting up the tree. When we finished, I gave her my set of handpainted glass coffee mugs that I had bought from Bowrings about 30 years ago. They are in mint condition b/c I only had used them for one month each yr and handwashed them each day. So, this morning she texted me and said that it made her feel very happy to wake up and have her coffee in one this morning, and that it made her think of my mom and I b/c my mom had been with me when I purchased them and I had told her the story of how it was my moms fave store and we would often go together to window shop and only buy occasionally b/c it was too expensive for us.

Chris - glad you had some sales for your FW stuff, along with everyone else too. That's crazy about hits Brendan's car has had. Jeez....black car on the street....seriously??? That's really stretching for blame by that family. I think that kind of tells you what their morals and responsibilities are, eh? What is it with people nowadays wanting to blame everyone else and not accept responsibility for their actions?

Nancy - I love walking in the fog too. There's something magical about it. Too bad Luther wasn't into getting his bath. We saw the moon last night and it was hidden quite a bit b/c we had a lot of clouds but when the clouds parted, it was wonderful. So big and bright.

Trudy - sounds like a fun time with the kids. I saw the Xmas tree pic with the kids...so cute! They sure looked happy.

Felis, Jean and everyone else, hope all is well.

I'm getting another coffee and getting to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

Gray day, still fairly warm (50s - but tomorrow comes the cold) doing bills, laundry and work on the book. Feel like a nap would be good. :ballchain:

Chris, welcome to the Christmas season. So glad the open house sales went well and all of you sold things. But poor Brendan with the car. How dumb to blame him.

Nancy, wow, how strange with Luther and the bath. Wonder if something was different? I know you'll work it all out. Look out for even more seasonal weather to come. Even with the warmer days, I've been enjoying those heated seats and not wearing as much outer wear when just driving to stores, restaurants. Even liked them when doing a brief bit of birding yesterday.

Trudy, what a nice time you all had over the weekend and then driving home under the full moon. I'm with you today with laundry and stuff.

Rae, bummer not having the computer in the evenings for a while. I use my Surface for that, but can't do any scrapping with it while watching TV.

Felis, hope all is OK with you. Yikes, that reminds me that I have weeklies to do.

Hi all,
Life sucks! All I wanted is one festive and carelessness month! But no!! My life can't be without drama. I had terrible weekend.
And I hope to can save at least the next part of the month! Now I have to see what I'm missed here, even I don't have a chance to scrap before the Friday. I didn't saw any daily Christmas challenges like past year?!

Chris, I'm happy that the Open House was successful, but it was totally expected for me!
I love "The Art of Dancing in the Rain" I read it in hard moment and I immediately fall in love! I even have the same zebra toy like in the book :).
What a strange story about the Brendan, things like this happen here when you had angry exes, which try to scares you and send you message.

Nancy, it's so irritating about your favorite player Adam Henrique was traded, but also now will have reason to follow one more team! My tiny dog make the same as Luther, she forced us to go out, but then see how cold is outside and wanted to go back, and after hour want to go out again :) . So, you want to tell me that you left other to get a bath and toenail clipped to your own dog, wow, how you can trust them, how dog trust them?! So strange for me, this is another culture difference that I found :) .

Trudy, I'm same like you one night deep sleep and then night with insomnia. Wonderful that you are had great time with your family this weekend! Oh, but sad that your son will move away from you. Whether this is temporary or for long?

Jean, I'm not sure when I'll do my weeklies. I have much ideas to scrap, but no mood for fun right now.
This story for the porcupines was so sweet. Did you got out this Sunday?! Sounds like you are close to finish your book. Hope you are happy with the result!

Rae, it's so nice and lovely to give your special cups to your daughter, so festive story! But sad that your other daughter didn't come, I hope this to change for Christmas!
