Happy Monday!
This will be super quick since I have to be out of here in a bit, off to dentist and then food shopping.

My poor brain is frizzled and fried! I was really irritable yesterday and I asked Cait if I was overreacting to things Gary said/did. I am glad that she can tell me the truth since she said, Yeah, you are. That gives me a bit of a check on myself. I feel better today. At least not aggravated at him ;)

I was able to get another batch of cookies made which is good. So 2 down and several more to go. I am semi-ready to go food shopping, and that is better than not ready at all.
When I get home today, I want to get some of these baskets put together so I can see where I am missing things. And the 12 Days of Christmas Even has begun, so I really want to be able to participate in that.

have a spectacular day!

Nancy- I was torn between "enjoying" W eating snow and being aggravated that she was whining to go out but only to eat the snow. Luther is lucky that you are his mama!

Trudy- not sick of you talking about chores... isn't that pretty much all I talk about, that and my dogs? Happy birthday to Jason!

Jean- hope that the Browns were able to keep their lead. No, I decided to not tell my mom that I go to a FP. She helps me out so much as it is, between bringing up meals to giving the kids gas money every time that she sees them. She would just want to do more. And it hurts her to know that we are not in a good financial place, this would make her never sleep again b/c all she would do is worry.
Some things better left unsaid.

Ugh- time to put my contacts in, throw some makeup on, and get something to eat before I have to go.

Hugs and love to all of you!

Yesterday I had awesome snowy game with my big dog. The tiny didn't like it much, but instead she stay inside. Today I'm rise up early, to be first at the 12 Days of Christmas topic, but Sharron, was ahead of me  . I'm just kidding, I came here to post a page, FINALLY, and saw that the Christmas fun is started. Yey! Exactly how pathetic is, that this is most exciting thing for me this month?!
So I'm up early, because I'm on party today and have much to do before that.
Hope you all to have lovely and festive day! :partywine

Chris, my post has been prepared in advance and I'll just post it when you opened the thread, so I'll give attention to all that you are said today, but tomorrow. I feel that you wouldn't have mind, when you know I rush for party, thank you!
And I still had so much to comment from the yesterday: Ouch, so bad about R ear, poor baby! Awww, I'm so familiar with the 'cauliflower' story, at some moment one yellow antiseptic bottle become a regular part of my shopping list. You can imagine how many scratches we have to deal. The worst are cat nails vs dog nose. This is why "don't touch the cat" is the first command that is being learned here. Hope the bite ear is not too bad!
I hope that your dentist app is going well too! Is it normal to start so early?!
Oh, I should made pics of dog playing in snow too, but it didn't come on my mind. Hmm, we have regular 'toilet' places, so I know where to clean up.
So great that you are finished your decoration! I definitely would love to know more about the different gradings of trees and do they come from the controlled nurseries! But I'm too sentimental and when the first plastic trees come to my country we bought one which still use (I'm not sure maybe about 20 years), she looks very dishevelled already, but I love it so we covered all that with decoration. I'm very worried the cat and dog, which only have access to your room to not eat some of the needles that fall from real tree. My pets makes problems like that all the time.
I'm afraid that my family is so tired from my problems, so I try at least to pretend.

Nancy, sorry for the hockey, but at least you are had a great walk! I don't think that here snow will stay for long, yesterday it was too warm for that.

Jean, the slippery walking is ome of the bad sides, but here we have a proverb "not exist completely happiness". Yesterday takes me ages to walk distance which is usual 15 minutes. Today is working day so I hope finally they to clean up the streets, but who knows!

Trudy, we completely understand your busy schedule, don't worry at all! Happy birthday to Jason with best wishes! Personally I love to listen about your Christmas preparation! It's reminds me much for the cutest Christmas commercials or for these children's Christmas books.

Have a lovely Monday to all! :bliss:

good morning - well after Friday's fiasco with the trains (it was not a passenger train that derailed so there were not injuries and all of the tanker cars were empty so no explosions or fires just bent the rails, today it is open again trains are running) but now today there was an explosion at Port Authority Bus Station and below that are the subways. They have the suspect in custody but wow this causes so many disruptions and people are dropped off in strange places and they are by passing the 42nd street stops. My DH does not go to mid town Manhattan so he is missing this but he is sure to be delayed. I don't understand the need to hurt others. And there is no doubt this was done because it is a Monday morning rush hour. So sad. But I know we have to keep living. So yesterday was fun and now today should be calmer. I too have to do some grocery shopping and then tonight I think my son and I will be going to the Devils Fan club meeting. That will be fun.

Chris sometimes the holidays just stress us out. Relax at the dentist if you can LOL. I will wave as I am at the grocery store. I totally understand not wanting to stress out you mom. Good thing she does not read this thread! That is so sweet that you and Cait have should a great relationship.

Felis how fun in the snow with dog. We are still cold but the snow is melting and off most of the side walks so I will be getting Luther out in a few minutes.

Trudy we do not mind hearing about all your activities to get ready for Heather and the grandkids. Hope you get some rest time before they come!

Rae hope you had a relaxing day!

Jean did you jinx the Browns. I saw they lost in OT. That poor quarterback should not have thrown that last pass. And yes slippery sidewalks make me so angry. If my DH can shovel then everyone try. Sometimes I think it is the youngest home owners that do the worst job LOL.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies! A frosty morning for us here, DH was very careful getting to his truck this morning. Got so much accomplished yesterday, I raked the whole back yard and cleaned up the last of the leaves, it was so good to be out in the sunshine and fresh air. While I was doing that my MG was putting up the decorations and lights on the outside of the house. We stopped for a coffee at one point and sat out on the front porch with the patio heater going, it was just such a beautiful day! Tree is up and now I have the fun task of putting on the lights and trimming, I will do it small increments so I don't get too frustrated with lights LOL. I did not however get my avatar ready for the Challenge today, so that is on my to do list also. Tomorrow I am heading to Costco with my sister to stock up on a few more items needed for all the hungry mouths. It will be nice to spend some time with her!

Chris - Good luck with your dentist appt and food shopping this morning. So sorry that you are feeling a bit frazzled, you seem to still be able to get so much accomplished! Yes it is probably best that you do not tell your Mother everything, as Mothers we know that we will always worry about our babies and yours is no different. It is nice that you are trying to spare her the worry! Hope that you get everything accomplished that is on your to do list today! Too bad we couldn't do it together with a glass of wine :becky:

Felis - How nice that you had some fun in the snow with your dog! So great to be outside in the white stuff and not the mud! You would not think of a Christmas book if you saw me trying to decorate my tree today LOL. There will be some choice words being thrown around I am sure :becky: I hope that you get to enjoy another good day with all of your furry friends!

Nancy - I saw first thing on the news this morning about the pipe bomb going off, sounds like there was another that did not explode, thank goodness! I do not understand either this need for people to hurt one another, why can't we all just live in peace and harmony together?? Sad state of affairs in the world today! I hope that you are able to move on and enjoy your night together with your Son at the fan meeting! I will be missing my Son today as he celebrates his birthday, but Sadie my granddaughter facetimed me last night and told me that she was making cupcakes for her Daddy for his birthday. They will all be at her swim meet tomorrow so no big celebration but it will still be a good day for him I am sure!

:hello: to everyone else today, I will pop in later to partake in the 12 days of Christmas, hope to see you all there!

Good morning, ladies. The wkend flew by. Yesterday morning I popped over to a local winter market and hoped to see the same lady I saw on Saturday at a different craft fair, whom I bought some sugar free/low carb jam from. Unfortunately, she wasn't there so I'll have to contact her on FB and see when we might meet up so I can get more jars of jam from her. The ginger pear jam is sooooo good. I had to contain myself, to not eat it all at once (put it in my coconut yogurt). I also got some low carb/SF chili sauce and honey/garlic sauce. I smeared avocado mayo mixed with the chili sauce overtop my burger last night. Yum!!! I had brought Taz with me so after wandering around the market, we went for a walk. We passed by the snow piled up outside the sports arena and Taz ignored it. On the way back, as we came close to it, he saw a dog racing and jumping around on the snow hills so he ran to join him. I met the owners and we chatted for half an hour as our dogs played in the snow and another 4 dogs joined in. They had a blast, so fun to walk. When we got home Taz slept for the afternoon.

We watched half a season of Mr. Robot and next wkend will watch the second half of the season. We both love that show.

Chris - I didn't know about the different grades of trees. Interesting. Hope your mood brightens and you have a good day.

Nancy - I don't get the senseless tragedies that people create. I don't understand intentional cruelty. Hope you and your son have a good evening at the fan club mtg.

Trudy - we never get tired of hearing about your family. How sweet that Sadie is making cupcakes. Sounds like you are on track, most of the groceries bought, now the tree is up and ready to decorate...it all seems to get done doesn't it? I never did get any gifts wrapped but hope to find a bit of time throughout the week to get started at it.

Felis - snow coming....how wonderful. We have a few inches of snow forecasted for the wkend before Xmas. Hope so....there's nothing more magical than a white Xmas.

I'd better get to work. Mondays are my busiest work days and I see that my boss sent a huge pile of work to me already. I'll be back and forth, checking in throughout the day as I take mini breaks, hopefully.

Jean and everyone else - hope all is well.

Have a great day, everyone.

Did the Monday bills and stuff and when DH came home from Hum & Strum he read and gave corrections on yesterday's addition to the book. That is cleared up now and just one last part to do plus the chore of documenting this part. Still trying to think if I can get to an index. Getting close anyway. And I want to take part in the 12 days here.

Chris, hope the dentist and shopping left you still with a little energy and time to get the things done you want. Understand about Mom and FP, just wondered. Hope you get doggie kisses and rat antics. Maybe Gary needs them too.

Felis, hope work goes well and especially the party. Is the snow still around? And what a nice holiday avatar, you seem to be the only one of us ready.

Nancy, I just don't have any faith in a Browns win. At least they looked a lot more like a team yesterday. The bomb situation is just awful. Hope things get cleared up for all the travelers and your DH isn't too delayed. Have fun at the fan party.

Trudy, hope the lights cooperate and the air doesn't get too blue with your comments. Yesterday must have been delightful. Will hope for that kind of weather on Saturday.

Rae, you also describe a nice yesterday. How fun to watch Taz romp in the snow with the other dogs. Hope you breeze through the Monday work load.
