Daily Ooo's: Monday, December 10

Yipppppeeeeee!!! I am in a good mood. I am trying to not think about how freaking fast the next 2 weeks are going to go but instead think about how fun today is going to be.
As soon as I am done here I am going upstairs to wake Caitlyn up so I can play with the new babies. I was just getting into bed when she came home with them last night, so I went up to see them. Ack! Soooo cute, and so small. And so active! We were so used to Clovie and Muffin being old and not able to get around b/c of tumors that we forgot how fast and curious baby rats are. They were climbing all over and jumping and scuffling. I tried to scoop one up and no sooner did I have her in my hands that she wiggled right out and was on to the next thing.
They don't have names yet so Cait is calling them "Currently Known As ___" heh!!

Yesterday was good-- no one showed up other than family and the family that Caitlyn babysits for which we expected so no disappointment. but we sold a lot of stuff. Arlene bought every jar of coffee butter scrub for her and her SIL. LOL
As I was packing away the leftovers, I started to separate the stuff that I will use for the basket orders so I have that pretty much under control too.

Today is going to be another busy one, however. I need to go through all of my cookie recipes and ingredients, then tally up what I have and what I need to buy. Gary found a coupon for online shopping at the supermarket that covers the fee so I think I am going to take advantage of that this week. I already started that last night.
This afternoon, we are going to get our Christmas tree and decorate it. Then the 4 of us will watch a Christmas movie together. In between all of that-- I am gonna play with baby rats!!!!

Trudy- your party sounds fantastic! What a nice touch to have the slideshow of your holes. Scott and his field botany class went on a hike yesterday and he posted a few pictures on FB. I get such a kick out of seeing what he sees. Did your Gary have trouble sleeping after all of that coffee?
The dowel tree is posted on the 12th Day on FB. And get this-- it all comes apart! He took the darn thing apart and put it away for next year! That man is so creative.

I HATE YOU AND NANCY!!!! Go ahead, rub salt in the wound every week about Outlander. :rollpin:

How did the Devils do last night? That is great about your son's gift to his wife, I bet she will be very happy. Oh yes, we should meet up over the summer- maybe at Sandy Hook and you can show me some of the local birds since I am only able to tell the difference between a cardinal and a blue jay.

Kay- Sending you more hugs and good thoughts. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be. Take good care of yourself. I hope that cooking and cleaning helped a bit, I know that when I am stressed, I usually go on full assault with my house. You can always tell I am in a state when I get my old toothbrush and grout cleaner out.

Jean- I would have had a headache to end all headaches after working out hat report all weekend. My fingers are crossed that it is perfect for the attorney.

Not sure how today will go... still felling blue but knew it would be like this through the holiday. Didn't get the apple crisp made yesterday even though my mouth was watering at having it to eat. Maybe this afternoon. I did finish 2 of the library books... and that kept my mind busy.

I was jazzed this morning to get an email that my favorite store for pants was having a great sale for today only... and free shipping. Found 4 pants in my size and colors I like and the total was about the price I pay for 1 pair!!!
:bounce: Plus PSE2019 is now on sale. Will be getting it today as my Christmas gift to myself. Which means I need to get my shower, dressed and run my errands.

Tomorrow is my Red Hat Chapter's Christmas party. Need to make a potluck dish for it.

Chris... those baby mice look so adorable! Thanks for sharing the photo. Glad you had a good sale after all the work that you put into creating all those lovely things.

Morning ladies... It is actually not raining at the moment and I see patches of blue sky and here I thought we were supposed to have another very rainy day today? Oh well I sure won't complain about it! Yesterday DH got the front of the house all decorated and the front porch looks great! Poor guy had to do it all out in the pouring rain and the wind :mmph: but at least he was under the roof of the porch and did not get soaked. I worked on decorating inside for a bit along with a lot of :washing: and getting the video ready for DS's birthday tomorrow. We actually got quite a few videos from friends and family, so now I need to put them all together on one and will post it for him on You tube tomorrow. I sure hope he enjoys it! Today will be more decorating and then some cleaning of the house, bathrooms,

, etc. and I really need to be more present here at the O too! Will quickly run downtown at some point today and pick up the last Calendar at the Printers (this one is mine) Wrap a present or two and that should be my day!

Chris - I am so happy that you are in such a wonderful mood today! I knew that your party would be successful!! Now you can concentrate on your baking and decorating!! A bonus to have the coupon that your Gary found! Every bit helps!! Have fun playing with the new babies!! Sounds like they are a lot of fun! The pics of them are so cute! You will be in baby rat heaven today LOL.

Kay - Sorry that you are still feeling blue, but my goodness it must be hard not to be, especially at this time of year! :hug: Nice though that you found the sale on those pants!! Hooray for good shopping karma! I saw that there was a great sale on PSE2019! A great present for yourself!

Jean - Yes the Bruins did play well against the Leafs and I think that the Maple Leaf is blue because the Montreal Canadian team colours are red, white and blue. I believe the blue is supposed to represent the blue sky and the white the Canadian winters. :noidea: Glad to hear that you are finally done with the report you have been working on! Keeping fingers crossed that it will be approved by the lawyer! Have fun catching up with the fun here at the O! I need to do that too!

Nancy - Outlander was of course great again last night! I am excited to start seeing the episodes where Brianna is reunited with the family! Opps spoiler alert?? Sorry to anyone who has not read the books. Sorry your Devils did not win last night! Don't you just hate shoot outs!! How great that you found the camera for your DIL!! Nice that you can share your lenses with her too! I did contribute to the slide show at the Christmas Party, just a couple of photos, most of the ones I take do not have the hikers in them, just the scenery and they really wanted to have all of us in most of the shots. But they did use a few of my photos.

Good morning, ladies. The wkend flew by as I knew it would. I went shopping Fri night, then spent Sat with Bailey and then home Sat night to watch the first few episodes of "Haunting Of Hill House". We all love it. Can't wait to watch the rest of it over the holidays. Jen stayed with us until Sun night. We put the tree up. I threw my back out a bit on Sat morning. Noticed it after I came back from jogging. It's not really bad but I'm glad I don't have a lot of walking to do for a few days other than taking Taz out. I won't jog until it feels better. But....so happy it's not anywhere near as bad as it used to get.

Today I've got lots of desk work but if at all possible I want to get out at lunchtime to our local organic butcher, as I got an email for 10% off which helps b/c their meat is pricey. They don't give these out often so I want to take advantage of it. So, I'll go today if I can. Tomorrow I have my haircut booked and Wed I have a dentist appt. So a busy work week and lots of appts and chores to do.

Chris - glad you sold lots of your FW products. You did such a good job of packaging and posting them on FB. So happy for C to receive her rat babies. If I had one I'd definitely want a white one with a pink nose. So cute! Good for G for finding a coupon for you to shop. I need to look thru my recipes and figure out what Jen and I will bake. We're going to bake on the wkend before Xmas. Have fun putting up your tree.

Kay - not surprised you are feeling blue. Glad the reading gets your mind off things and you can relax. Glad you found the sale, great deal! Enjoy getting PSE2019. Enjoy your party tomorrow.

Trudy - yes, it's nice to see a bit of blue sky but I know the rain is coming back later. It's going to be a long wk of gloomy skies. Last night was brutal. Poor Taz didn't even want to go out after dinner which suited me fine LOL. How fun to get the video reading. That's such a great idea!

Got a thank you reply from the attorney and no questions, so I hope the report will be everything needed. Last night got a little back into the party here, but still behind. This morning DH was at H&S and I did bills, etc. This afternoon I'm going out for a little shopping and to pick up some prints I had done at Walgreens, LOs in 8x8, one for me and others to give away (and they were 1/2 off!)

Chris, the rat babies are already making you happy and they've only just begun! That grocery coupon will make life a bit easier as the actual shopping always wears you out. Congrats on the success of the party and being a bit closer on the gift baskets.

Kay, sigh, I can't imagine how difficult it is. Sorry the apple crisp didn't materialize, I was really thinking how good it would be. You're joining Rae in the good shopping karma with that great deal on pants! The Red Hat party will be good fun I'm sure.

Trudy, thanks for the explanation on the blue leaf. That was second time recently I'd seen the Leafs on TV and really wondered. DH (joking) said it was blue because it's cold up there (do remember we don't really live that far from Toronto.) Hope you have time for scrapping and the O today.

Rae, sorry the back is bad, but sounds like not as bad as Momma O. Poor Vicki. You are always so busy and now maybe even more so. Hope your ailing back is better soon.

ive been bit bummed of late - mouse hand is really hurting a lot - bought some new cream that has 20000 reviews at amazon so hoping it will help
also, all week hubby has been trying to build a new pc for me. it looks like the motherboard is DOA so who knows how long before a replacement one comes. I am so darn tired and fed up with using a laptop for the past few months. the actual scrapping area on a 15 in laptop is less than 4x4.

well do have some good news, found out over the weekend we can pick up dory Wed night.

Hello girls!
The Weekend was madness. At first day mostly cleaned. It's a little bit difficult to do it around the decoration. Second was for shopping and it takes much more than usual, because of the throng. I can't understand why people with full shopping carts are so grumpy and nervous, but they was. However I think all presents are finally ready, and hope when start wrapping to not found I'm wrong :roll:. Yesterday I was wrote personals to all, but suddenly I lost them somehow when started to describe my day. The irony is that we say for situation like that 'ít's just wasn't written to happen'. So I decided to not post at all and finished watching Christmas movie, and almost not nap on it . This is why I can watch them every year, always found something new.
Today was my day for scrap, and even I didn't finish as much pages as I hope, at least now I have few in progress. I hate that I don't run with the tempo of the party, but once distracted I fall of board and just can't go back.


Chris, aww I'm so happy for Cait! Can imagine excitement in your house. I see you are increase the number . Not surprised at all. Great that your fairy salle was successful!
I think I'm said this before, but with my mom we was big fans of this show Extreme Couponing, it's so cool as a sport. But left us, and many other (I'm sure in that) with impression that in US everything can be get for free. Hope Gary's coupon cover what you needs, not only the store deals!

Kay, sorry to hear that you feels this way, but I'm not surprised. Allow yourself few days to be honest with your feelings. But then you have this wonderful family and you should be strong for them! They needs your smile and happy Christmas memories! Your layout with the girls literally bring me tears. See the sales are sign that someone want to make you smile!

Trudy, I'm sure your son will like that video! It's great to see all decorated, isn't it? Bad that it had to happen in awful weather.
