:whoo: I survived yesterday! I didn't get everything done that I needed to do, but I am a few steps closer.
Food shopping was a blur. I had so few things on my list and I searched the shelves for ideas and came up with nothing. The positive thing was that I didn't spend all that much money. ;)
Gary and I unpacked the car, threw some more things out, gave a couple of things to a neighbor, and will slowly get the rest back in the attic.
I logged into Shutterfly to finish the invites/response cards. I hate that website! Firefox doesn't seem to like it either and I kept getting locked up. Chrome went a bit smoother. But then when I went to look for simple response cards, I had problems. They all had meal options text. I could leave that blank but then the alignment of the rest of the card was off. Back to the drawing board! I created my own design and uploaded it. By the time I was done. I had a god awful headache so I saved everything to finish up today. The last thing that I want to do is make a mistake on a couple of $100 worth of cards/envelopes etc.

My brother is coming up with my nephew today. We were supposed to go to a local state park for a picnic, but it is going to be over 90*. I know that my brother does not do well in that heat so we are going to see what we can do in air conditioning.

Trudy- you must feel so conflicted right now. You must miss your Gary so much but sad when you have to say goodbye to all of your kids. I hope that you enjoy every last minute with them. Catch you on the flip side!

Nancy- hahaha!! What a silly boy Luther is between not wanting to walk more and then hiding in the basement. Although, I guess if I had a fur coat like he does, I might feel the same. Are you ready for the HHH days?
I didn't get a chance to look at your photos on Flickr. I copied my ILs to my computer but didn't even get to look through them more carefully yet. It will be fun to see yours compared to theirs.
They got photos of a mama bear teaching her three cubs to cross a river. The first two followed her, but the third wouldn't so she had to cross back and then nudge him over. They said that the guides were very responsive to the animals around so they could get to see as much as possible.

Jean- how was your movie? If it is ever on Netflix, I will have to let Caitlyn know. Her new obsession is puzzles and bought two more last week.
You are right about the invites, I only wish they had critiqued them earlier so I had more time to perfect them. But it all will get done on time.

Felis- ugh about the rain messing up your plans to work outside. My gardens need a good clean up too but I spent last week mostly in the attic. You know me, I would have much rather spent that time outside :D
It is so strange comparing salary/cost of living to other areas and countries. Scott makes $13 an hour which is very low.
I always want to be on top of Christmas gifts because I make so many of them, but I never seem to get it together in time. I think I need a good hour or so on Pinterest to get some ideas and motivation.

Better get going, I have so much catching up to do! Love to all!

good morning - another hazy hot and humid day! My DH had Luther out and now he is just resting too hot. And I agree. I have an errand to run and then just spend time indoors. I cooked a great dinner shrimp and rice with veggies. They had you cook the rice with ginger and garlic and so yummy. The shrimp had a yummy spicy coating and you finished with almonds and a sweat chili sauce. No left overs! Today will be a chicken dish. Making more pages.

Chris glad your shopping was not too bad! Luckily my son went to the store for me! Hope it is not too hot for the picnic.

Jean cant wait to hear how the movie was, an interesting subject and I did not even know they held competitions. I have to agree fall has pretty good bird migrations but so does the spring LOL. At least in NJ our falls seem to have better weather so maybe better for birding. Hope you survive the heat! And yes Halep lost in the first round. Maybe she is just burnt out. She still had a great year!

Felis sorry about the rain and not being able to play in your garden. Yes your tennis player had a rough draw. That is a bummer. Hope you can get outside soon!

Have a great day all!

It will be over 90 again today and some schools without A/C are closed. We did well yesterday between the movie and eating dinner out. Today I'm planning a shopping trip with a frozen custard stop. That should keep us cool in both the car and stores.

The movie "Puzzle" was interesting. It's based on an Argentinian movie from 2011 called "Rombecabezas" or puzzle. The story is a little strange in seemingly merging modern day with family life more like the 1950s. The puzzle competition part was fascinating. I so enjoyed going and remembering what a real theater feels and sounds like, sitting in a comfortable seat (in the row with lots of leg room), cool, and taking advantage of the Monday special price on movies of $5.

Felis, sorry your tennis player had such a tough draw. Watching Serena Williams in her match I thought about her opponent and what she must have felt getting that draw. Sorry you got rain on your free day. Hope the garden enjoyed it instead.

Chris, hope the invites come out right without giving you another headache. Also hope you find a cool place to meet with DB and nephew. Wherever, you'll like being with them.

Nancy, that dinner sounds go good, have to remember the garlic and ginger for rice. Luther isn't going to like this heat and going in the basement sounds sensible to me.

Hey ladies...good morning. Just popping in quickly. D is home this week so haven't been on the computer much at all. Between, B, D and work (and taking Taz out for a couple of walks each day), I've been busy. D is getting a colonoscopy tomorrow so today the poor guy can't eat and is taking the pills and liquid to flush his system out before the procedure tomorrow. What a way to spend your holiday week LOL.

No news on B yet as to what they are trying to do for assessment and placement. They are working on it and I'm sure we'll hear something in the next week or two.

Chris - I'm glad our 90° weather is over. I prefer it around 72-75. I'm actually excited about sweater weather LOL. I bought some new scarves to add to my collection and can't wait to wear them. I love fall (aside from the rain) and am ready for it.

Trudy - coming now soon, right?

Nancy - did you post a flickr link to your photos??? I need to go check that out if you did.

Felis, Jean and everyone else...hope all is well. I better get to work. Have a great day everyone.

'There's no limit to the length of the di**heads we can be' ,
sorry for the language, it's actually quote from song I love, about what internet makes with us. I spend about hour (OK maybe more) to compare the prices between local and uk stores and then amazon, just to prove something that I already knew. Everything cosmetics, books, cat food, from same brand are on similar prices. We often shop cosmetics online, because other countries have better restriction about acceptable chemicals in their products, also has countries who tested on animals and who not, so yeah we often shop online for better quality. And I was kind of naive that the actual cost of the things is equal.
OMG I was so proud of myself because first time from many years I bought music album (even two), I mean usually I listen YouTube or radio. So I worked one day to be able to get them, one precious day from which I knew I needs so to gets my treasure. But guess what they cost about 2 hours work to some similar girl in US, only 2 damned hours.
And TAA DAA, the best part, it's the same with the scrapbooking. I can count all the times when I'm try to convince my family "yes I want exactly this expensive digital kit", because it worth it to give one day salary in supporting the art. Art is supposed to be expensive in one fair world! Ouch, how naive! One bundle cost as just one hour US work. Something on which designers are work days, maybe weeks, for only hourly wage?! It's no sense. How many kits you have to sell daily to can survive?!

I definitely find myself more frustrated from the fact that my illusion ''how supportive buyer'' I am was ruined, than the little detail that others get easier the same things.

Chris, I realize that to discuss the financial subject is strange and probably boring for you. I also realize I went too far and it become lack of polite from my side, so I stop it immediately, excuse me you all! The only reason to star this subject yesterday was my wish to raise your mood, Chris. I'm never realized how underpriced is art in your area of the world. Sorry that to buy a book after a day long work is not a big thing!
I hope to have good weather and to be able to spend some time on the picnic with your nephew! Are dogs allowed there?!

Nancy, I hope you'll can to finished your errand before to become too hot! Oh, rice with ginger and garlic, you are so creative. Usually we don't step away from just a rice with tomatoes. I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with Flickr to could found the photos that your family is add to the group. But I laugh so much on old pics of Shadow in snow. She have her little leash, so sweet.

Jean, this movie sounds interesting, I'll note to check do will come here. Thank you for your nice comment for my LO (to Chris too)! It wasn't absolutely disaster to rain in my free day, I play with few pages. Umm, this actually is my previous dog Karma, but really it doesn't matter, I have many so even my mom don't try to learn them  . It's an old pic from another August years before, which just came in my mind.

Rae, Dr. Oz have whole episode about colonoscopy in case your husband is curious. I'm very excited about sweater weather too! I love autumn (even the rain) and am ready for it ;) . I try to convince my sister to bought me one scarf from merchandise collection for my B-day, but she think it's ridiculous to wear scarf to expensive than your jacket. At the beginning of the summer I found in outlet store two jackets on just a fabulous price (I think I'm mentioned this before sorry for repeating), so yeah count me too excited for the autumn!

Fall ... fall... it's still sounds me so strange ... fall in love with this season... totally fell this season ... fall?! However here we are back to the summer, so will have to wait.
I hope you all my dears, are happy and in safety and satisfaction from the life,
because the stuffs have only as much meaning as we give to them. :thumb:
From other side the morning coffee is very important stuff!!! :cof3:
