Happy Monday, O-zies. Are you all ready for the week? Not me! I got next to nothing done yesterday. I really felt awful all day. I even ended up laying down for an hour. My car never got unpacked and I am only somewhat ready for food shopping. But at least I am caught up on my laundry, right? :)

My ILs dropped by in the afternoon. The showed us some of their photos from their Alaska trip. They left them with me so I can *fingers crossed* get to work on a photo book for either their birthdays (Sept 28-29) or for Christmas. I think that there is no way that I can do 20 pages in less than a month so it looks like Christmas will be it. I have to try to be more mindful of what my limitations are. I really do not want to relapse.

We also went over some of the ideas for their anniversary party invites. MIL gave me an example invite. I copied that, and now, 2 months later they want some changes. I save all of my PSD files so it won't be difficult, I only wish that she had been clearer up front. But not a big deal.
So food shopping this morning and unpacking the car later on. Fascinating and exciting. Bet you all wish you had my life :pound:

Have a very happy day!

Nancy- I am going to have to see your Alaska photos now that I have seen a small fraction of my ILs. The photos of Denali were crazy! The clouds didn't even look real. I think it must be very humbling to be where everything is so huge and impressive.

Jean- Sending you some tea or soup or whatever you are able to eat comfortably and some gentle hugs as well.

Felis- those are the kind of nights I have had the last couple of ones. I go to bed and it is still warm from the daytime but overnight it gets so cold.
I will miss the same things as you do when summer is over. I will miss the sunshine and longer days.
$15 is not a lot of money at all. What I made both days ($50) would fill my car's gas tank. Or I could buy a cheap pair of sneakers. But to work 2 full days (not counting prep) it doesn't go too far. But I am ahead of where I was, so that is the good part.

hugs to all of you! xo

Morning ladies... I am on the last leg of my time with the grands and now at my Son's place in Toronto. It is so hot and humid here and I don't know what will be worse to stay a couple more days in this horrid humidity or to go back home to the terrible smoke from all the forest fires :noidea: Poor DH is missing me and wants me to come home, you know what they say... Absence makes the heart grow fonder and I have to say that I am missing him very much too. It will be nice to get back to my own bed again and although I will miss everyone terribly, it will be good to sleep in my own bed again! I have so much scrapping to catch up on with all the photos from Paris and the time with DH and boys and now the few days here with Isaac and Sadie. I am glad that I decided to stay a few extra days and get in a good visit with them and see their place here in Toronto. A temporary home for them, but nice that I got to see it! Today we are icing sugar cookies that we made yesterday and not sure what else will be on the agenda for today. I just really wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and let you know how much I miss being here in the mornings! I will catch up with all of you soon. I am home on the 29th but might need a day or so to catch up with the time change and get my house back in order again. See you in a few days!

good morning - Yesterday was lovely. Got in a good walk with Luther and DH. Luther thought it was getting too warm on the walk and just went towards to the car and lets go home. LOL. But he loves going out in the evening and playing fetch which is also a great excuse for him to chase birds mostly robins. I nagged the boys to do their uploads to flickr and my DH got some of his done and actually added to our group. Very happy! But darn I hate nagging. I got my first pages done for the cruise. I was going to wait for everyones photos but they are so slow and don't understand how I want them to scrap that I will just have to add pages as I get their photos. So I am now thinking I might have to do albums and not books. But at least I have started. LOL. Today I will starting my Blue Apron cooking again. It is a shrimp dish so that is always yummy. And today is the start of the US Open tennis. That will be fun to watch.

Chris so hopefully the day today will be better. It will be once you are done with grocery shopping. Enjoy these last hot days of summer. Luther is hiding in the basement.

Trudy so good to see you post. Glad you are so enjoying the time with all the grands. And yes it will be hot in Toronto if their weather is like us in NJ. That is sad about the fires out west and all that smoke. And I am sure that your DH misses a lot.

Jean thanks so much for the lovely comments about my photos. It will be hard to pare it down. LOL And that magpie was too funny he was eating something on the under bumper of the car. They are so pretty! In Denali the guide was so happy that we were able to see the ptarmigan family and I was very happy with the male photos. I would have like to see more birds but the trip was more designed for animals LOL. Hope your tooth is getting better.

Felis I refuse to see the end of summer until the middle of September. But it is hard not to see fall coming as the days are getting shorter and that is the pits. I can deal with cold but I hate losing the sunshine. We are heading for a heat wave this Mon-Wed. It is such a shock from the temps in Alaska but I am glad to be warm again. Thanks for looking at my photos in Flickr that is so nice. And yes that momma bear and her cub were so cute. The momma was just interested in eating while the baby was curious as to what these busses were doing. A once in a life time view. And I was lucky to have the large lens.

Waving hi to all! Have a great day!

It's hot again here but this afternoon we're going to see the new movie "Puzzle" as I'm intrigued by the idea of jigsaw puzzle competitions. So we'll be entertained and air-conditioned. The senior center closes a week in August every year for deep cleaning and this is it, so no H&S for DH and none next week either with the Labor Day holiday.

Felis, glad you got some cooler weather but sorry the thought of fall isn't pleasing. I'm with you on not liking losing the hours of daylight. For birding the fall was probably my favorite season, but not so sure anymore. And thanks for looking at my weeklies and the lovely comments. Still have more to catch up.

Chris, hope you feel better today. About MIL, I don't think anyone gives a complete set of requirements in the beginning, at least it seemed that way when I was a computer programmer. For sure, aim for Christmas. Must have been exciting for them.

Trudy, so nice to see you here today. Can't quite wave to Toronto, buy know the weather must be about like mine. Looking forward to your return!

Nancy, if nagging is the only way they'll do it, maybe no choice. You've started out with gorgeous pages. And now we can hear about Blue Apron goodies again. As to the US Open, I didn't see it, but heard Simone Halep lost in the first round. Yikes!

Yesterday I had free day and was plan my To Do List mostly outside, but the rain thwart all the activities. The next part of the week will be busy at work, so my poor garden it should be left in this not much tidy look.

Chris, With exception that $15 are good daily income here, they still can't buy you sneakers, but I don't think many people are able to do that with only daily income. However, I understand how you feel to not receive what you deserve for your work. At least that experience was just a waste of time, because of the people with who you shared it! Smart from your side to keeps the PSD files of these party invites. When you start preparation too early there always pop up wish something to be improved, isnt it. Uhh, you just reminds me that I also have to start work on one album if I want to have it ready when the Thanks giving deals are valid, because shipping to here will takes me month or so and hope is on thime for Christmas.

Yeey, Trudy, I'm happy to see your post! I'm not surprised your husband already miss you. I'm so curious to hear how Stormy is accept the traveling and the new place. But as much I understand we will have more time from chat from the next month. Sorry for the wildfires, always sad!

Nancy, sorry that the others from your family didn't share your exciting about quick uploading of their photos! But you're not much fair to rush them. I know you want to start use them, but for others to dealing with the photos is just reminder that the vacation is over. I think we (the scrapers) are blessed with this satisfaction to have pleasure from repeating the memories again and again ;) . Seriously I'm more excited to scrap some photos from previous summers now then I'm been in the moment of taking of the pic. Usually we also don't welcome the Autumn till birds are still here, but with the rain and cold, past few days it looks like much as it. Here we are disappointed, Such a bad beginning for our boy on US Open.

Jean, did you like the movie? I remember before when the senior center was closed for so long your husband was bored, but I think it was winter, so I hope now will can find more things to do in his free time!

Amanda, I saw your family planner on Instagram. Looks so cute and hope it's help!
