Happy Monday to everyone!
I was smart this morning, instead of freezing, I put long pants on instead of shorts. It is back to being chilly in the mornings. It was fantastic being out in the sun yesterday afternoon, it was hot but in that perfect sense where it was cooler in the shade. When I walked into the woods to dump the weeds, it was nice and refreshing but then I was ready to go sweat a bit more in the sunshine. I got a lot of yard work done, mostly cutting back the spent flowers and then training of the morning glory vines. I have to remember next year to only get 1 or 2 plum tomato plants a more of the cherry tomatoes. I am loving the ones that I got this year, an orange/gold variety. Tastes like sunshine!

Bagels with my parents was a good time, Tom passed the Grandma Test. haha. She came in, gave him a big hug, then told him that it might take her a while to get used to his face (piercings LOL) but that it would be ok. My dad texted Caitlyn later to say that he seems very nice and that he didn't realize that piercing/tattooing was his career. I think that helped a little, seeing how serious he is about his art/career. The next big test wil be when the entire family comes up for the September Bash -- fingers crossed that it will be safe to have that next month.
I also finished the page for the AJ Challenge and I am happy with how it came out. :) I even tagged a few kits in ACDSee, yahoo!

Today, I am doing desk work in the morning and then I will be spending way too much mental energy trying to decide what to cook for dinner tonight. *bangs head on desk*

have a great day, O-zies!!!

@tanteva Candy/cheese... same difference, they both begin with "C" :D
Six hours is a really long drive, even to meet in the middle for the day is too far. I hope that you are able to get to Vadstena next year.
I think it would be called a nunnery? No!! A convent! That's it!

Kay- The Wind Talkers sounds fascinating. Wow!!! That is a score on the DVDs!! You'll have to tell us some of your favorites.
How sweet to see your DDs grandson- that age is one of my favorites, toddling (zooming!) around and getting into everything but still easy enough to pick up and snuggle.

@Cherylndesigns You have to scrap that photo, have to! looks like it is from a professional shoot with the light and the woodgrain, just gorgeous!

Hugs!

Decided to check if Vadstena had some information in English, and found this page:

They call it Abbey ... but that might be the church? (I only studied Theology & Christianity for like 5 years at Uni, how would I know? LOL)

The museum has their own site: https://klostermuseum.se/

This is Sweden's "claim to fame" in the Catholic world, since Sancta Birgitta is our only saint.

Well... today I've been scrapping & will continue to do some more scrapping. Tomorrow I'm workning: 9.45 to 6 ... I actually look forward to go back to work. I like the job and I've realized I feel good when I do something. Working on Thursday as well, but a shorter day then. Next week Urban goes back to work as well. Guess that's the end of the summer then ... yay - fall is coming! ;)

It has been awhile. Lots of books read and scrapping and walking in the evenings when sun has not been so hot. Watching my sports - Olympics and baseball. Now today the Olympic channel is showing the Vuelta a Espana bike race. Also two shows on Netflix that I have been waiting the continuation have finally arrived. First Kissing Booth 3 which was a disappointment but glad I watched to see the conclusion. Then season 2 of the OuterBanks. That show is just summer fun. On Apple TV I am watching Ted Lasso and it is so good. Then my sister told me about this Netflix show Wanted. It is crime show from Australia. I like shows that have strong female leads and this does. There are 3 seasons so that is good. My son's fiancé is now 2 years cancer free so last night went out to dinner to celebrate. It was a fun dinner.

@faerywings Chris you must so be enjoying this weather. Sunny and warm during the day and cool nights to sleep. I love it. Luther still does not walk but in the mornings. Funny to think your dog sitting in the sun while mine hides in the basement. Glad the family is getting past Tom's appearance to see what it inside.

Kay I loved the Wind Talkers. Growing up in AZ and learning little about the Navajo contribution this movie was so interesting. Have fun with all the DVDs. Hope the back gets better soon!

@tanteva Eva how nice to connect with an old friend. My sons still maintain friends from grade school and I think that is so special.

@scrap-genie Jean hi yes I did watch Olympics. I wished they showed more of some of the lessor known sports. The kayaking and canoeing I like. Amazing to watch the skate boarding. And I thought the Field of Dreams baseball game was amazing. It was cool to see them come out of the corn fields. I am glad they will do it next year. It reminds me of the NHL doing their outdoor game on New Year's Day. Both take folks back to their youths when any one could play the game. Glad your genealogy is still going strong.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl sorry about the headaches. Are you getting smoke from the western fires? Could that be a factor?

@vickyday Hi!

Have a great day!

Good afternoon. Happy Monday!

Chris @faerywings I'm so happy that Tom passed The Grandma Test. Your mom sounds like she's pretty cool! I don't think my mom would have been that accepting. They hated it when guys got their ears pierced. LOL That was then, this is now. Hahaha When my sister and I first got our ears pierced, she was violent! She said "I hope your ears get infected and fall off!" Nice, huh? They never did (fall off) but my sister's got REALLY infected and of course mom said it served her right. I since went on to have several piercings in each ear, but was beyond the age where she had any say. We were in high school when we got our first ones.

Glad you liked that picture! I promise to scrap it for the O. I have actually scrapped it for "another site" but I must "O" it now. I love that picture, too. It's a warm, wonderful memory of an afternoon spent with Ava.

Nancy @nancyr nice to see you here. I'm pretty sure my sniffles and headaches are weed-related. We just moved to the country last September and they were probably past their "season" by then.

It's 84 and sunny today and we got rain two nights over the weekend. We really needed it. I need to get busy and do something. I cleaned the bathrooms yesterday (yay me) and we had some of the family over for dinner. Our group is shrinking - Alyssa is constantly with her boyfriend, Ava is with her boyfriend a lot (although she did come over) and Braden only wants to be with his girlfriend. He came over, though. They only all come if their SO's can come. It didn't work out for them yesterday so it was a small group. Oh well, life goes on.

Hugs all around.
