Sit down. Sit down, my friends, because you are not going to believe it.
The forest bathing walk went amazingly well.
I know, right? Are we all shocked?
:floorlaugh:
I was a little nervous when we first started, but as soon as I did the opening meditation, I was good to go.
Wooo hoo! Go, me!!
I forgot a few things I wanted to say, but nothing important. I added a few things as we walked when it moved me. The women seemed to be very happy and relaxed. And there was one very powerful moment that almost made me cry. After one of the meditations/invitations, we gathered back together, and I asked if anyone wanted to share anything. One of the women said how close she felt to her father, who recently passed and she dreams of him in the forest. Nature can be so incredibly healing and I was honored to be part of that with her. (still have a lump in my throat from it).
I am pretty darn proud of myself. Leading this program was something that I never thought I could do.

Today I am off to help with the summer camp all day. Then it will be home, a quick shower, and off to my next-door neighbors. It's our annual summer dinner get-together but this time it's also a goodbye party for my friend.

Sending you all big hugs!!
:hug4:

@faerywings the good thing about a habitat is that you can keep a close eye on them and then when they are ready you can let them climb on your hand to release them...it's thrilling to do. Everyone loves to do it so your kids would really love it I'm sure.
I might have to look into that for next season. We found three more baby caterpillars yesterday so that is a total of 5. Hehe, I know that just a slow day for you, but I'll catch up someday. :p
Reed's party sounds like it was a huge success! Although a bounce house and water slide--how could it not have been? *G*
Mike seems like he is so much fun to be around, with a big personality to boot. I really hope you got a picture of his chest hair palm tree! :hammock:

:rotfl:

Are you on the road again today? Safe travels!

Quick in and out before heading to church.
Got the laundry done yesterday and ready to begin the packing this afternoon.
Need to touch base with Mark's daughter about the hummingbird nectar and the bird feeders. Hopefully I'll have some time this evening to scrap some bike pages. Maybe only about 5 or 6 trips made this year with the weather being so stinking hot this year!
Have a great day and week in case I don't make it in here this week.
And to you, too! Have a safe trip and a wonderful time with the family!♥

I decided to scrap the Art Journaling LOs this month... Have to admit that @faerywings LOs stirred the creative juices (fantastic LOs). And the great inspiriting quotes that @pachimac listed had me off and running. Plus I found the divided template that Ona made so it means I will be doing 2 LOs each week. :wow2: To be honest... being alone again means I have more time to scrap.
I am so happy that my struggles with the AJ challenges inspired you :lol23:
Seriously though- Thank you for the sweet words!

I slept amazing last night!! However the pain is still here, back and hips. But its better then before.
Great news about the good night's sleep and many wishes that continue. Hope that the pain level is better every day.
Any luck with AJ inspiration yet?

And it is time for me to get myself ready for work. It won't be too hard, today is going to be a Hat Day. :D

xoxo

Good morning everyone. I'm glad for a quiet day today. A walk with Remi but other than that, I will stay home. I'm reading a good book so will enjoy that (The New Couple In 5B). I am going to watch a few Craftsy videos later, I've been meaning to for awhile and just haven't had the chance.

Our BBQ was fun yesterday. We have such a great group of friends here. Everyone brought yummy food, we drank wine spritzers and played corn hole out in the yard. Later in the evening after everyone left, one couple stayed later and we played a dice game while enjoying a decaf coffee and baileys.

My only complaint was that it was too hot and muggy for my liking...but...sure better than rain, so I won't complain too loudly.

@faerywings Enjoy the party later but I'm sure it'll feel bittersweet since your friend will be moving away soon. Sounds like the forest bathing walk was a hit yesterday.

Jen just came up to visit and chat. Gotta go.

Good Morning!

Any luck with AJ inspiration yet?
Yep, its posted.

The sun is out and its going to be a great day!! Its field trip day! Woot woot. We homeschool under an organization and they arrange field trips all the time. My youngest finally said that sounds fun. So we drive for hours, get on the train, ride for an hour, get off and hike back to a glacier. The sun is out! Its not windy like yesterday and its not raining. Off to grab more coffee and get dressed to go! Have a wonderful day!

Sounds like fun and picture- worthy!

Quick in and out.
We're on the road.
3 hours to go before we stop for the night. We will finish the trip tomorrow.
Rainy trip so far.
Have a great day!

Well, David, who was complaining yesterday about being achy and a runny nose, woke up coughing and sore throat this morning and tested positive for Covid. Sigh. We’ve divided up the house - his half and my half with the kitchen sort of shared but not simultaneously. It’s warming up again so I thought I’d turn the air conditioning back on today but I’ll just live with open windows until it gets unbearable. I hope I don’t get it!

I had a nice bike ride this morning. As I biked past the orchard I could see that the earliest apples are about ready for harvest. Which means I only have a few more weeks of peaches. I saw a recipe for meatballs with peaches, basil, and lime (Shared link here) which sounds so good. There’s even a vegetarian option. Pretty soon I’ll be looking for apple recipes.

I have got to go grocery shopping and get back to work on my presentation! Have a great day, everyone

Oh, NO!!! So sorry to hear he has Covid. There are a lot of Covid cases here in my state. I wear a mask when I am out and about to be on the safe side. Sending get well wishes to him and hope you don't get it.

Quick in and out today. Been busy scrapping. Feel like I am behind on the challenges this month...:hiding2: ...then realize I have about half of them done... and still have more than half of the month to go. :floorlaugh:

Will be busy tomorrow... the gals are having the brown bag lunch. I have missed the last 2 months so really want to make this one. Will stop at the grocery store on the way home as I am out of a lot....

Ooops... got a call coming in. BBL
