Brrrrrrr!!! It is 30* out there!!! Where did my summer weather go? It figures, as soon as I packed away almost all of my fuzzy socks LOL It is supposed to get warm later on but it is too cold for me ATM. I have been waiting on planting my morning glory seeds, good thing, I guess.

Today is a sad-moment day- It is the 15 year "anniversary" of when my BBF's baby died in utero. She was almost 7 months along. Brutal time for her. The weird thing is that the weather on this day has been almost exactly identical every darn year. Its like on 9-11, when you see that blue sky and it brings you back.

But it is also Elisa's birthday too- and I know there is a b-day thread.... here it is!

I had a busier day than I expected yesterday. I went to my mom's to pick up Caitlyn before we headed over to my brother's. Cait had stayed over with my mom the day before to go shopping b/c I hate shopping so much and we end up brawling when we go together. hahahah!!! (True story) Scott said that he missed hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and asked if we could go back for dinner with them. So we invited ourselves to dinner which was happily accepted. (No surprise there).

Then we headed over to see my sweet boy who is just getting cuter and cuter each day. I got to spend lots of time playing with him and snuggling, at least when I got him to stay still for a minute. He loves the "Chase me Game" so the kids and I got our workouts crawling after him. What is it about a baby's belly laughs that just makes life so good???

Back to my mom's for dinner, then home, then crash into bed.

Today I have to go to Walmart (ugggggggghhhhhh) and BJ's.

I'd love to get outside and do some yard work when it gets warmer..... *fingers crossed my ankle holds up ok*

Laurie-- Enjoy!!!! Have a wonderful vacation and have a umbrella-drink for me!!!

Nana-- I meant to send you an email, but I forgot. :( But I can tell you how happy I am that you decided to do the respite care for the kids. IMHO, it was the best decision. And no I don't think you are crazy for being with Cameran. Being a Nana is what you are, what brings you joy. And it is a different type of "being" that having to be NanaMom. I hope that the kids slept good last night for you. Here is to a new week!!!

Linda S!!!! Congrats on the A1c and 12 pounds!!!!! That is awesome news!!!!!

Phyllis- Congrats to you too on finding furniture! hahahah at the Spanish Inquisition style, that is too funny!!

LInda S- yup- I think a few brands have coffee in mental cans, I think I have two downstairs, and one is one I am refilling from the big jug from the warehouse, but I am sure I can go through another couple of cans quickly LOL

Sounds like you had a good Sunday! I kind of usually invite us to my son and dil's for most holidays. Works for all of us!

Up early today and yes, I am back into the garden to deal with the next round of weeds that sprang up with the last rain storm. My mutant bamboo which is fairly easy to pull out. We seem to have rain on the forecast for the next 3 days so today's the day.

Dick is out in Kansas City this week on a business trip - that he almost didn't go on! My heart fell when he said that because I have a whole lot of things to do here in the house, and it's so much easier to get things done alone. kwim??

Back with you all this afternoon.
 
morning O fam- getting ready to head to the beach and soak up some warmth and sun for you all! I am finally getting a me me monday- walking on the beach!
 
Chris, so sad about your friend's anniverary. i actually have a few friends that that terrible thing happened to. i can't even imagine the sadness.

i ABSOLUTELY have to get out of the house today! it has been SO cold outside, and i really haven't been motivated (except for the furniture trip.) i'm starting to see how "old people" decide just to stay indoors. i'm getting to be an "old people," i think. i need to look for a reason to get out and about. what did this to me is the shellfish allergy that popped up out of the clear blue. i used to go out to lunch almost every day. mainly Chinese. it was nice. it was fun. it was something i didn't have to cook for myself. now i am afraid to even eat anything in any restaurant that serves shellfish at all. so that leaves Fast food and a few other places. hopefully i'll get over this irrational fear and allow myself to eat at places where there are little shrimpies on the menu. but, 'til then....

gotta do grocery shopping. that much i know. then maybe a walk around the Mall and a visit to 5Guys in the food court. little burger, lettuce, tomato, extra pickles, fried onions, no bun, and only give me 10 french fries, please.

It's supposed to be sunny and in the 70's here. What a wonderful spring we have had. Could have used a little more sunshine for the weekend. Oh well!

Work followed by soccer practice followed by homework followed by bed. Ugh...feel like I will need a weekend after that!

Chris, glad that you got some good family time! And I'm going to have to look for metal coffee cans now!

Maureen, glad that your hubby is going to give you some time to get things accomplished! I suspect that when I retire, it will be quite an adjustment for me. (Assuming that someday I get to retire!)

Phylis, hope that you find a place to enjoy lunch. Do you have a shellfish allergy? I can see where that would be frightening!

And Laurie....just imagining that I too am walking on the beach this morning...makes me smile!!!
 
Carpet getting cleaned this morning.....MOVING ALL THE FURNITURE.....AGAIN!! UUGGHH....I tried to get him here before the new stuff came...but he was booked up!! I can't complain.....he has been cleaning my carpets for about 15 years or so...and he rarely goes up on the prices on me....he says loyal customers do not get hikes in the prices....he started out cleaning all my carpet for $50....and now only charges $70....if I were a new customer it would be $150......ISN'T THAT THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK????? someone should tell DirecTV and VERIZON and all those other companies that the loyal customers deserve the price breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have really come to many conclusions lately, including the respite care, and that I can not keep Savannah anymore...so I told Sharon last week that I had to stop..but she knew it....she has been asking ever since Jesse and Jaiden came here to live if she needed to and if it got to be too much just let her know. MY "DARLING" daughter Traci really has no freaking clue HOW many people she is affecting with her decisions :rant: besides losing my sweet little girl (that drives me crazy :faint2:) I have lost ANOTHER $400/mo income...and Sharon now has to pay an extra $200/mo to have her in daycare. :rant: :rant:

Chris....good luck at Walmart....hope your trip is better than my last few....and OH doesn't a CUTE baby always lift the day??? YAY for baby play!!!! I won't tell you that it was 59 degrees here when I woke up.....so you won't know that our heat never cut on last night :mrgreen:

Phylis....I am right there with ya on the "old people"....me too...I don't like to go out when it's too cold, too hot, raining, snowing....I guess the only time I like to go is in the spring when it's dry... :laugh:


LindaS.....we are around 70 today too..but rain....looks like rain most days this week...at least showers.... Cameran has a game tonight...wonder if will be cancelled? I am not far away from your type of schedule with these kids...not to sound ugly but DEEEEEEEE JAAAAAAAAAA VUUUUU!!! EEKK!!! I am not excited about it!! But you enjoy sweetie...they are only little once!!!
 
lets see i had a busy weekend...kinda i was out from 8:30am to 9pm saturday with friends...it was a GREAT DAY!! we went shopping and we went to lunch and shopping some more and we went to a movie...and then we went to one of their houses had a few drinks and talked all night LOL it was great

yesterday i was grumpy!! haha...super tired!! also did 70mins on the ellipitcal

today is back to walking...tomorrow i get to take Helena up for her "day of kindergarten" she gets to go up for about 2 hours and see what its like to be in kindergarten...that'll be fun for her...then i gotta get her into the dr sometime this week...we found a small little bump on her shoulder under her skin..its hard pea-sized...and it moves a little..im sure its just a cyst...but its scary :(

then thursday i get to bring dh back to the dr for a repeat injection in his back..hooray...

other than that just trying to exercise every day etc...
 
Linda, yeah. shellfish allergy out of the blue 2 years ago. apparently that's how a shellfish allergy likes to appear. later in life, to a person who never had a prob before. i could scream!

Kristy, it's probably just a "lipoma." a little fat bump. i have one of those on my side (and in my case, it's amidst all the other LOOSE fat hanging around there.) hopefully it's nothing at all to be concerned about.
 
Morning "O" friends... :rain: here today. Good thing we got the new fence all stained yesterday, I am a little stiff and sore today, but not bad. It looks great and yes Chris I am already planning what to put for flowers etc. on the fence. Off to work and then Tues. the best day of the week!

Chris - I wish, I wish that I could get some cuddle time with my little ones! So glad that you had such a great time with your nephew!! He's a lucky little guy!!

Maureen - I hear ya on having the hubby gone so you can get things done!!! I spent my whole sunday helping him stain the fence yesterday instead of doing my housework and weeding. Why is whatever they have planned so much more important?? :rant:

Laurie - I would love to join you on that walk on the beach right about now! Hope you are having a fabulous time!!

Phylis - I am getting more and more like the old people who want to just stay indoors too! We should form a group! We could call ourselves the "Old Farts Shut Ins" or something similar? Guess we better just make ourselves get out more! :becky:

Nana Linda - How sad for you that you are losing your sweet Savannah!! You have to though I guess, its just too much to take on all those kids at once! :hug: sweetie you are the best Nana ever, but you are no good to anyone if you are too worn out to be a good Nana!! BTW I love your smilie!

Reading through and catching up on all of you ladies. Running all morning and catching up on all those yearly appts............oh such joy!!

Chris- Hope the weather turns well for you and you can spend some time outdoors...........rather than Wal-Mart!

Maureen- Maybe next time you can make the trip with your hubby to KC and I'll come meet you there!!

Laurie- ENJOY!! Have a wonderful time!!

Phylis- Hope you got out and about! I think the weather has lots to do with staying inside. Hope your temps warm up soon, but not too warm................let's still have some spring before we all hibernate in the AC.

Linda- Thinking of you. I'm so sorry for all you are dealing with. Hugs. Seems so little to say as I can only imagine your pain and frustration and hope you find time for you some how some way.

Kristy- Hope your little one enjoys her Kindergarten day and hope you do too..........oh, I miss those days!!

Trudy- Sounds like the yard work is going well..................can you stop by my yard next?
