GoOd morning, lovely O-fam!

Who is ready for some deep breaths? Sit up with a straight back. Loosen up the shoulders and jaw. Take a deep breath in....... hold...... and out really slowly. Again.... in....... hold.....and ouuuuuuut. One more time- in......hold.... out... Wiggle your shoulders, are they more relaxed? Hope so!

Was everyone's weekend nice? The weather here was better than it had been. It was sunny and cool but not cold so I spent about 2 hours outside. I hade some plants that I needed to split. It might be just me, but I always feel bad when I have to dig them up and rip their roots apart especially when they are so tightly connected. I also moved some tulips they never bloomed this year. The leaves came up but no stalk. No critter friends out and about yet although I wasn't in the compost pile. Scott was looking for worms for Patches, his pet garter snake, since he is having a hard time finding food for him at the local pet stores. He eats frozen fish but will eat worms. (much nicer to feed the dogs and rats kibble/nuggets!)

We picked our new Theme Night-- this week is Disney Night and we are going to make Mickey Mouse waffles for dinner and we will use my Disney dishes and silverware. Oh yeah, we use them every day! LOL

I am off to Walmart for shopping pick up today, they should bring everything right to the car. After that, I have to keep plugging along on the pages for Christopher's album. I did another one yesterday so I think I have 12/20 done. I don't have that many photos this year, as they get older, they pose less and less!
It is cloudy and cool today so I am making baked potato soup for dinner.

Gratitudes:
-shopping pick up
-healthy(ish) family
-being outside yesterday
-my O-Fam!

HAGD!

Nancy- haha!! good for you getting your BR straightened. I vacuumed mine the other day and included all of the cobwebs on the ceiling LOL
What did your DH make for dinner? The weather has been so crazy and I hope that is the reason my joints hurt today. Hope that Luther is doing well!
The rats are good! New nicknames for the babies-- Evi is Evil and Imogen is Gen-ius and together they are the Evil Genius Sisters. Evi "escapes" from the cage 90% of the time that the door opens and she's so fat you don't even notice. Imi- she has figured out every darn trick in the book. We swear that they work in cahoots with each other.
Cait is hoping that they can still get the spaying done soon.
The other three are sweet and adorable as always!

Kay- how awesome to visit with DD#1 for a while. I think my parents want to come up this week so we can yell at each other through the windows. LOL
I hope that you are able to get online shopping figured out. I finally got a notice that Instacart is available in my area- but then I saw that they charge higher than the store prices as part of their "fee" but they don't tell you what the final prices are?
That is great news about your BP staying steady! My mom is having some more adjustments with her meds and it is hard to keep it all level. So happy that you are doing well!
I make my banana bread with walnuts, semi-sweet and white choc chips. I used to use whole wheat flour and hemp flour to make it healthier but I gave that idea up. heh

Felis- I haven't posted the pages I made for my nephew in the gallery since they are not for anything new or a challenge. But if I do create something new I will.
I am disgusted by the people protesting. Fine if they make themselves sick but they are risking everyone else's lives at the same time. I saw some photos of people with young children.
hahaha!! that saying about marriage/graduations is too funny!

Sending hugs to all Canadians today. The NS shooting is such a tragedy and one that we Americans understand all too well. :(

Morning ladies!! I was totally MIA yesterday and then when we learned the news about the shootings in Nova Scotia I just did not have the heart to be on line at all  Our hearts are broken for all those who have been killed and especially for the RCMP Officer who was the Mother of two :hurt: It is like losing a member of our extended family when an officer is shot, especially for my DH! It is a very sad time for all Canadians!! It is our last day of sunshine today and then the rain will start for a few days at least. So I will try to get out for a nice walk and clear the cobwebs out of my head! I finally got a date for grocery pick up for tomorrow, I do need to get a few things that I forgot to get on Friday, so hopefully this will keep me good for groceries until the next opening for online shopping.

Chris - Thanks for the show of support for all of us :canada: It is such a senseless tragedy!! Sounds like the rats are keeping you all entertained, that is so nice! Yes my vacuuming yesterday included the cobwebs on the ceiling too!! LOL I hope your pick up for Walmart shopping goes well today, and I hope that you get to have a yelling visit with your parents soon! I have had a few face time calls with Mason and Hunter over the past couple of days, but don't get to talk with Heather much, so I hope that she is coping well with all of this isolation! It looks like a nice sunny day for them today, but still very chilly and snow for tomorrow. Ugh!! I am hoping that they are outside in the sun and having fun! My Gary was happy that I found him some Girl Guide Cookies on line, he loves them and so I got 4 boxes for him. I do not eat them, but he decided to give a box to the neighbourhood kids to share, you should have seen their faces LOL!! Lots of thank you's, he will be their favourite neighbour LOL. (guess I don't get any of the credit) LOL. I love that you are doing a Disney theme this week, I know how much you love Disney!!

I will come back later and catch up with everyone else, right now I need to grab a cup of coffee and get my morning chores completed. Have a great Monday morning everyone! I hope the sun is shining for all of you and that the news is better today!

Hi girls,
The weather here was perfect. It was sunny and cloud, but not cold, so I spent my afternoon mowing the yard. I hate that! Really hate to decide when grass have to gone. I think Trudy or Nancy (or both) was saw on Instagram my corner with wild flowers, which I really like. It's a naturally wild place, the mother Nature is pick and put these wild grasses there, not from some of the modern package with 'wild' flowers that some human can plant! And the bees was party there for weeks! So I hate that I had to cut them now. But too high grass is dangerous for the cats, because ticks also like it, and I'll have to treat the whole yard against tick and flea when the rain stop. And yes for that we mowing it. So Chris, I understand what you mean about the rip the roots apart. And weeding is the worst. I feel it so unfair humans to decide who to live and who not, based on our needs or understanding for beauty! Uhgg, this year gardening mostly stress me, than to be pleasant! But I'm so, SO, grateful to have whole this open space!
Oh, which remind me for one very stressful situation from yesterday. Imagine one lovely Easter party at the garden, with laugh and grill. And then all the people start jump and revulsion screaming: "the cat brings something, the cat is catched something"! Oh heavens, WHY always my children act bad!!! And my precious tom cat, with honey color, came and put in our feet... tha DAM ... fish head! Yep, one big fish head. And all started to laugh and encourage him. As it's not so scary as rat, and not so sad as bird, but I'm still screaming, as the corpse is corpse! As the others said it's not different than our barbecue, but I still have a problems with the corpses before to be cooked. I'm so mad of him!!! He is left the yard, walking around the neighbourhood and steals fish from some garbage, Yuck! Or even worse someone is give it to him treat, because he is cute! Nasty boy! Thankfully he wasn't eaten this raw fish, not every fish is good for sushi, and even fresh fish can have lots of parasites. I really have to be more strict with him!

Chris, the Disney Night sounds very cool! I have the whole pack from Disney water cups for Mickey's birthday previous year, and I'm never find a time to scrap it!

Trudy, OMG this is heartbreaking! I read it from Chris first and I needed to switch off and check the news. The news today are just terrifying! Till we have to deal with that awful disease, humans continue to hurt one each other! I'm speechless (and very misanthropic right now).

good afternoon - We got Luther out on a walk and he did really well. Very happy that we rested him. My DH went to the store and LOL they did not have what he was going to cook - pork roast or any type of pork he said. So he got what I told I would make - chicken paprika. I have not made that for years because it is not figure or health friendly. You start with a stick of butter and end with a cup of sour cream. But OMgosh it was so good brought back good memories. Pretty funny me ending up cooking. But felt bad as he forgot the sour cream and had to go back. But he did cook as he made us coconut cream pie. Like I said not a figure friendly but every once in a while a splurge is good. We spend a lot of the day once he got back cleaning the dining room. I mean that real deep down clean. It was nice working together. So now our kitchen, bedroom and dining room have been cleaned. My son and his girlfriend came for dinner they both took made sure that they were clean (lol that sounds so funny) and no hugs or touching. Since he basically lives here and sees her it is pretty much we are sharing anyway. Lots of hand washing. Today is her daughter's birthday and the fire truck and some police cars are going to go past their home for her since no party. That is pretty cool. My son did his first "daddy" thing he bought and put together her first two wheeler with training wheels. Her children seem to like him so that makes me happy.

Chris glad you got outside! So fun to hear about all your pets. I did not realize garter snakes eat frozen fish - worms yes. Much easier to feed cats and dogs. It is still too cold for me. I hope I remember when it gets hot that I asked for it! Disney will be your theme week. I hope you scrap these events! Hope the trip to Walmart went well. Saw on the news that the one in Secacus shut down for more deep cleaning and time to really allow the shelves to be restocked.

Trudy I am so sorry for the horrible event in NS. Makes you wonder if isolation is causing some thing like this to happen. I bet the walk helped get rid of the cobwebs for a while. Glad you have the grands to talk to to make things brighter. Hope the food delivery went well. In my town a lot have been cancelled at the last minute.

Kay glad you had such a nice talk with your daughter. So weird staying so far apart. Glad your BP stayed so steady while scrapping. I know you will be happy to be back doing it. I am really the whole series of Tony Hillerman books. And now it is so sad to be hearing about how bad it is on the Navajo reservation. People on the news are just so surprised they don't have running water or electricity. Really! It is a desert and they live miles apart from cities and there is no good economical way to lay the pipes. But darn they should have solar power for homes to have electricity for sure. I see that the Fed gov has set aside some money. I sure hope it gets there soon.

Felis glad you had lovely weather. Sorry you had to cut the grass but yes keep away ticks is important. I think it is pretty cool you cat brought you a treat. Means he loves you a lot. Sorry the others got so freaked out!

Waving to all.
Grateful for a DH that shopped and then we cleaned and cooked together
Grateful for walking

We had a lovely little trek to Lake View this afternoon in the bright sunshine and not so cold. We didn't spend much time out of the car and there were a lot of people there, especially at daffodil hill (which was gorgeous). Also, most were not wearing masks even though not too well distanced. But we saw some birds including a few spring migrants. Certainly made us feel better! Tomorrow we venture to the grocery store. Also had a nice chat with DH's sister.

Chris, Disney will be another fun theme for you all! And we'll want photos! Guess you have to get creative with the LOs for the book if you are low on photos. You always make a nice book for him. Did you do well in the Walmart pickup?

Trudy, the tragedy in NS just makes the hard times now so much worse, bringing back the awfulness that can be. We all suffer from the darkness it represents. Hope a walk in the sun brought you some relief.

Felis, pets really do bring gifts even when you are so unhappy with the item. They aren't still wild, doing what's natural, but that part of them doesn't entirely go away. Sorry it made your happy time upsetting. Glad you got to see the One World: Together At Home. We enjoyed that very much.

Nancy, your not-so-healthy dinner sounds wonderful! One time our store had no pork, so I guess I'm not surprised. Hope Luther continues to not limp. If that came from chasing birds, it serves him right. (Well, not really, but you know what I mean.)

Sure grateful for today's sun, warmer temps, and getting out in it.
