Daily Ooo's: Monday, April 10

Good morning! Happy Monday to all of you. We are finally getting nice weather and that makes me very happy. We go from freezing to hot in a matter of a week, but that is fine by me, as long as it doesn't get cold again.

How was everyone's weekend? The highlight of mine was being outside for a bit yesterday. It wasn't "fun" work, mostly clearing out leaves from the patio, tossing broken planters in recycling. If I can get everything done today that needs to get done (ie. must make appt with eye Dr), I will treat myself to work in the garden to uncover the plants. That is the one really awesome thing about nice weather, I bribe myself to get s*** done. ound:

Oooh, go me! Looking at my list of stuff I needed to do yesterday, I got everything done except for laundry but that was because there wasn't a full load to do. :whoo:

I am off to the breast surgeon this morning. I told Caitlyn this morning that the worst part of the messed up appts is that it takes so much mental energy to get myself ready to go and then to have them messed up, and I have to start all over again- Ugh.

The other thing that I *have* to do is make that eye appt. When I got out of the shower yesterday, I couldn't see out of my left eye. I thought for sure that I lost the lens when I was washing my face. I was cursing up a storm but when I asked Gary if he could see it, he said it was there. Must have just been really dry and gritty from being outside. But what a heart attack since I only have one set of lenses left.

I am sending sun and warmth to all of you who need it! And love as well.

Nancy- sorry to hear that the Devils lost that game, I bet that was one more nail in the coffin for you son, thinking that he is bad luck. I am sure that by next season he will not feel that way. I hope so at least!
LMBO about the DS/nagging. Isn't that the truth????

jean- sounds like you had a perfect day with the seminal and dinner with friends. Hope that the snow is all melted by now, and that you don't get any more.

Good morning! The sun is shining and Luther has been for two walks. My son and DH are both off to work. I have to head out soon and do errands. Finally my DH got the tax stuff together so I have to drop off at the accountant, need milk and dog food. Well my Devils lost to the Detroit Red Wings in the final game ever at the Joe. Next year the Red Wings will be in a new arena. My team was pretty pathetic. Now at the end they say they are leaving with a sour taste in their mouths. LOL Well next season will be here before I know it. The play-offs start Wed so I am happy for that.

Chris glad you got your out door time! I guess you have to clear out the old before the new. We should have plenty of sun all week. I may get near 80 tomorrow. I am ready! good luck with the doctor appointments.

Jean hope the snow melts fast!

Good morning, ladies. Had a great wkend with the dogs and we had some clear skies yesterday so Jen came over and we took the dogs to walk along the river. I wasn't on the computer much over the wkend and am starting to realize that I need to be off it a bit more so I can get other things done, especially tax stuff. I enjoyed sitting in my chair last night reading a few magazines and watching TV rather than on the computer. I've read a bit more over the wkend too. I finished "Everything You Want Me To Be" which was good but not great, but still enjoyed it. I'm almost halfway through "Remember Me" which is fun and easy reading so I'm just breezing thru it. Today I am going to make "Crack Slaw" (an asian cabbage hamburger meal).

Chris - glad your weather is getting better. Glad you got lots done over the wkend.

Nancy - ugh...taxes. I'm still trying to find stuff LOL.

Jean, Sharon, Trudy and anyone else joining in, hope you had a great wkend and have a wonderful day.

Hi everyone!! Very late arriving in here slept in till 8:30 but was up in the middle of the night with a really bad headache! Dehydration too much wine, not enough water!! So I had a gallon of water and went back to bed, took a while but that was what I needed! I really have to remember to drink lots of water when we have people over LOL! FIL's birthday dinner was very nice and we surprised him and MIL with DNA kits from Ancestry.com They were thrilled!! Its not MIL's birthday until August, but thought it would be a fun thing for the two of them to do together! They loved it!

Chris - So glad to hear that your weather is warming up!! Thanks for sending us the sunshine, it is a very nice morning here, but I doubt we will warm up as much as you, clouds are moving in for later this morning but we will take all the sunshine we can get! Glad you got some gardening therapy in yesterday! Yikes you better get to the eye dr. soon and get some new contacts :becky:

Nancy - Sorry that your Devils did not feel up to playing hockey! Like you say the season will start again before you know it and there is a ton of playoff hockey to be watched. We still are working on our taxes too, better get it done soon! Hope you get your errands all done in record time and you have some alone time !

Rae - Wow good for you for unplugging over the weekend! I really like to do that over the weekends too, DH has lots of things that he likes us to do together, so its nice to just forget about the computer for a day or two. Hope your workload is not heavy today! Going to listen to another Casey video today, hope you are working on your next one also! I did not find the audio too bad, but I am sure a new mic will good!! Enjoy your day!

Clara and I have been planning a get together on Thursday in Victoria, it will be so fun to finally meet face to face and have some fun in downtown Victoria, the cherry blossoms are out in full force there so it should be a good photo opportunity for us too!

Afternoon y'all! I just upgraded from CS 5.1 to CC. If anyone has any advice who has made this transition, please let me know. I'm hoping I don't regret this.

Chris, I am glad you had good weather. Alas, we will soon be moving into the it's too hot to do anything season here.

Trudy, I hope you enjoy your time in Victoria. I plan to return there one day. Such a beautiful place with such awesome food.

Rae, I am glad you had a great weekend. It's nice to be able to slow down sometimes. :O)
