Morning everyone... I have a busy day too, have to get all my chores that I normally do on a Sunday done today. Off to Courtenay tomorrow to watch the kids swim in competition. Will be awake around 5am probably and on the road early to beat the traffic. Another disappointing loss for the Bruins again, and they are calling the officiating questionable LOL what a joke!! Oh well nothing that I can control so I won't let it bother me too much (ya right) So like Chris I will just say :hello: to all of you today and get busy with my day. It is a lovely sunny morning, so hope I don't have to spend the whole day inside! Hope your raking goes well Chris!

good day - Well the World Championships are on going and the US is playing Denmark and my Devils goalie Kieth Kinkaid is the starting goalie. Pretty cool. This is a hard game as Denmark is the host country and of course the stands are filled with their fans LOL. The Devils have five players playing for USA so that is cool. Then last night there were hockey games. I am just going to say that it was pretty funny. Brad Marchand of the Bruins licked the face of a Lightning player. OMgosh you would think it was absolutely the worst thing that a hockey player has ever done. I doubt many of you have seen the movie Slap Shot starring Paul Newman. It is a classic hockey movie. The whole point of the movie comes at the end when after a season where all the games are marred by violence and yet where the more violence the more fans come to the game. In the final the young star of the team does a striptease of his hockey gear and the whole arena fans and players are shocked and dismayed at this behavior. To me that is the whole point of Marchand's behavior (though I am not sure he even is trying to say this) is that the Lightning player wants him to fight and punch and Marchand knows that if he does he gets the penalty. So the NHL does not condemn head shots and while it says it is intolerant of slurs they exist. So for Marchand to lick and not fight is not manly and so the hockey world is in a tizzy. Cracks me up. They (other players) are worried about germs and yet they spit all over the bench, the ice and they rub their sweaty glovers in each others face. Bunch of hypocrites. I just think that the men do not like the image of the lick and like the image of the fight. Believe I think Marchard is a bit crazy and he is really not my favorite player after he took out my player this past January and left my player with a concussion. But here is really funny. The refs again do not call the game evenly and therefore the Bruins lose. I am sorry they are mad at Marchand but to let their emotions rule and not call a fair game is pretty disgusting. I do not know this for sure but I am just guessing. LOL. The Golden Knights hung on and won their game and are up 3-2. I am so hoping they move on. Tonight I have two more games both of which will be exciting. Just hoping no overtime. Got some house cleaning done and my DH is out taking care of the lawn. I did not get up to walk Luther. I made another really good dinner last night. Roast pork with a garlic rosemary rub. Veggies zucchini and sweet peppers in a garlic, rosemary and balsamic vinegar sauce. Again there were not leftovers. I was so not in a mood to cook but I sucked it up and did and was so happy I did.

Chris enjoy the outdoors. Hope the rain stays away. My car is green from all the pollen and I am hoping the rain washes it all away!

Trudy again the Bruins are left wondering why. Have a great day and have fun tomorrow watching the grands at their swim meet.

Waving to every one!

Have a great day!

Hi back T! Have a fun time tomorrow- good luck to the grands!

I worked really hard yesterday cleaning the upstairs family room and the kids' bathroom. That took most of the morning. The kids' bath was gross. I know Cait tries to keep up with it and Scott doesn't do that much. I figured I would do a deep clean and hopefully, once finals are over they can keep up with it better. The family room hadn't been dusted since before the holidays. I never really hang out upstairs so I don't think of it. But that is where we give Floyd his fluids and it is hard to ignore the dust as I try to keep him from jumping off Gary's lap.

Then I scrapped a page- and it didn't take me days! Trudy- the Bingo one that I did that you commented on-- that LO is the one that took me almost a week. The one of the dogs only took an afternoon. Progress. ;)

Looks like I got inside and showered before the rain starts. It is very grey out there and it feels like it is getting damp. Maybe I can scrap another page this afternoon, or at least get one started.

HAGD!

Good morning girls,
Chris, we have similar saying: “Shared happiness is a double happiness, shared pain is half pain”, but I think it's valid only for problems that have solution. Friendship support is priceless in moment of weakness. But when the case is already lost cause, just not worth it to put on others additional load. And so it is, let's just go ahead!
Or in this case to look back what I missed.

Chris, happy Be-lated Birthday to Gary! With best wishes for one lovely year! Your post in this day wasn't festive at all and I wasn't got it right, that this day is the day. Great that you are made him so many tasty surprises! Scott's internship sounds exciting and interesting and now is the right moment for him to do what love and try new opportunities. Before to have take responsibility for family and kids (I know, I know, he don't want to have children, but the wife actually have the last word). It's awesome how you encouraged and supported him in this moment! You are great parents, I hope you know it!
Good that the Appts went well, especially for Caitlin! And I'm happy that you finally have the weather you like and can spend more time outside! I'm always wondering what Save the Date is?! Is that a card for anniversary or party invitation?! I hope you found the photos of your IL's that you needed!

Trudy, good luck on the kids at the swimming competition! Have fun! Your sister's front yard tree is so cool! Those sleeveless tops sounds great, but you definitely needs sundress for Paris! As my sister says, one of the privilege to be a woman is to wear dress and The City of the Love deserved it more than every case! This painting from your friend Alex Fong it's so lovely! You and your friends are painters. So you are graduated from an art school or?!

Nancy, it's always relieving to come and see that you had fun with the hockey games! I wasn't hear for these multicolored potatoes before, but I'm not surprised we have sweet potatoes just from few years at the stores here.

Jean, I thought for you too!

Rae, it's refreshing at some point to have problems like scrubbing teapot, isn't it? Just for variety instead of all worries around the hospital transfer! The news from MRI sounds encouraging and she is so young so her recovering must be easier!
I hope you'll can made these deals with the cameras and will receive this that you wanted!

Ok, girls, this was my quick jump back to catch all. Hugs and thanks for your support! And I hope I'll can go back to our routine from Monday! Still is strange that you'll start your week this morning. For me Saturday is the week end, and also today is holiday here so I'm not in working mood. I'm invited on two parties (one birthday and one name day), so I'll use one for excuse in front of the other and wouldn't actually go on any of them. Which will allow me one more blue day,
before to get back on the horse, metaphorically. :elephant

I am so glad that I made it outside yesterday. It is cold and rainy here. But no matter, I am off to my godson's birthday party in a few hours. Can you believe he is going to be 7 tomorrow? That is incredible to me. 7. SMH!

Nancy- how exciting to see your Devils Goalie playing for the US team.
I saw some of the headlines about the "licking" incident. Strange, but really, in the grand scheme of things-- not the worst thing that could have been done. But you brought back some good memories of Slap Shot. Funny movie.
My first thought was concern about bodily fluids- but they bleed all over the place and like you said-- spit all over too.
Your veggies sound good. I am not a huge fan of balsamic but it is one of Cait's favorites.

Felis-- you know we are always here for you, good time and bad. Hope things get better quickly.
Thank you for the support for Scott. Yup-- this is the right time since he has little financial responsibilities outside of himself and his education.
A Save the Date is like an invitation before an invitation. LOL It just lets people know that a party is coming up and to put it on the calendar. It is for my IL's 50th wedding anniversary.

From Friday:

Nancy- I went for a short walk with BFFATS yesterday and she said that her lilacs are about 2 weeks from flowering, that we are that far behind spring this year. My forsythia is just dropping their flowers now. But I bet your yard is smelling so good from things getting ready to bloom.

Trudy- Ugh about the wind bringing down more branches after you spent so much time cleaning up the yard.
Thank you so much for the hiking boot suggestions, that will help me get started.

Rae- I don't know how you keep up with everything but I am really, really proud of you for making that time every morning for yourself. I am cheering you on.
Congrats on getting the new camera and I hope that you and B will put it to good use once she is able to get outside.
Maybe it is a good thing that B is a unique case, the Drs might be more "interested" in her from a medical standpoint. Kind of like in "House." I am not flippant since I know how serious it is and I hope you don't take it that way. Love to you!

Jean- again, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that scrapping helps heal the grief you must feel.

xoxo to all of you!

good morning - well unlike Chris we got no rain and as of now still not rain. We have clouds and will be getting rain but we got Luther out on a nice walk. It was a great walk as I saw a Baltimore oriole, egret and geese and mallards and the more common red winged blackbirds, robins and morning doves. So fun. It was not cold and little wind so perfect. Yesterday got some house cleaning done, my DH got a lot of yard work done and took the clippings to the recycle center it was a good day. We had tacos on Cinco de Mayo so that was fun. Then we ate popcorn while watching the Caps defeat the Pens again coming from behind. It was awesome! The Caps always lose to the Pens but that was when Fleury was their goalie and he is not the goalie this year. Even last year Fleury was the goalie when Murray was hurt. So maybe this year really will be the year they can defeat the Pens and I am sure hoping so! Then late night was the Jets just demolishing the Preds. I was shocked. Today there are two teams up 3-2 that if they win they are on to the next round. I am hoping the Knights win and Tampa loses. And during the day I have the Worlds on. So a fun day. My DH is going grocery shopping so that is sweet.

Chris have fun at the birthday party. Amazing how fast time goes. Glad you got so much accomplished.

Trudy have a fun day today! Hope the swimmers do well!

Felis welcome and looking forward to you getting back on the horse - as you say you cant change the past you can change yourself and move on to a better you!

Rae I am seeing your bird photos, you are so lucky to have seen a bald eagle that close. I am so jealous!

Jean I hope you are doing well. So sorry for you loss!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I had a wonderful day at the bird sanctuary. I was able to just relax and not focus on all the stress in my life. I really needed that. I just have felt so blah about everything lately (understandably of course, to be expected but still I don't like it). Yesterday was the first day I really felt like my old self for awhile.

Came home, load camera card and edited a couple, took Taz for a long walk and then just relaxed with D, watched 4 episodes of Marvel Agents of Shield and got all caught up. We were in bed at 10:30. Had a good sleep and woke up at 7:00 to sunshine. Will get out for a walk with Taz before heading up to the hospital for the afternoon.

Hope you all have a great day. Felis - so good to hear from you. Hope the coming week perks you up and you're feeling more positive about everything.

I'd better go, I have some work backlog I need to do before we go out later.
