Just a quick good morning to all of my O-Fam. I am itching to get out of Dodge as soon as I can. I think Scott is bailing on my and is going to stay home. I wish he told me this earlier or I would have left for PA yesterday. I didn't want to leave Gary alone too long, but if Scott's here I don't mind as much. But now I am going to have to deal with my mom's disappointment.
Argh.....

But I hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Monday off if you have it herein the US.

Morning Chris and all of you great ladies!! Up early, because my body just won't let me sleep in anymore :mmph: A sunny day today, so I hope to be outside for most of it. Off to my brother's for supper tonight. Other than that not much on the calendar today. Just going to enjoy the day.

Chris - Have a wonderful time on your mini vacation!! I hope you get some much needed rest and relaxation!

Keeping those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the USA in my heart today!

we are gonna go to a graduation party around noon....i *think* i get to go too...yesterday helena had a temp of 104...elyse had a slight one of 101....but both are feeling better this morning...so i dunno what the deal with that was??? my kids tend to do that though when they get sick all they get is fevers and half the time i probably dont even know about it cause they really dont act sick LOL and they have no other symptoms til i gets to the 104 and then they are just tired...but yeah....after that we are supposed to drive 1.5 hours to a BBQ and we will be staying the night and then possibly stopping by my moms tomorrow before coming home....like i said this is all a possibility for me depending on how elyse and helena are feeling throughout the morning....
 
afternoon all - we are enjoying having our boys home, remembering those who made the sacrifice for us all. We have basement speakers that rock the house, now to get the outdoor ones up this afternoon.
 
Afternoon....

Floors are clean (vacuumed and mopped) kitchen is spotless, now to clean the bathroom and then I am out of here for the rest of the day....out with Mike to do "something"...don't know what...anything....then we will go out to dinner before we go pick up the kids....
 
Kristy! EEEK!! 104!! hope everyone's feeling better and that you gotto go to the BBQ. kids' fevers scare the heck out of me. :fear:

up at 5:15 a.m. bleh. i'm not doing much of anything today. watered the garden, cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, set up a machine that's supposed to cool the air with evaporation in my bedroom. (so far, i don't think it's working too well.) made a page. gonna make dinner later.

thinking about all the young ones who stand guard everywhere while we eat our hot dogs and burgers. where would we be without them? taking time to remember all those who have done this and so much more for us, over and over, through the ages.

well, we put in the room air-conditioner in the family room yesterday, so i slept on the couch in there last night and made it to..............5:42 a.m.! but at least i wasn't roasting. my husband has an aversion to AC, so i've been sweating for about 34 years in the summer. back up to 88 today. whew! :flame:

what a lazy weekend i've had. i can't really point to anything and say "THIS is what i've accomplished." made a page. did some laundry. pulled some weeds. that's about it.

I hear you on what have I accomplished- hosted a frat party for my oldest- young male bodies now sprawled and sleeping on every piece of furniture available, cans, clothes and cornhole out on the deck and lawn and received many nice thank you for the great meal and sharing your home by those who came and went. Today- church, cleanup- work-work flower care and time with my husband. Oh and as I was the only female here, I scrapped and scrapped!
 
So, went to church, came back,made bacon and pancakes (from scratch) for the boys/young men that were still here, and have cleaned the kitchen. It is hot and humid here- argh, guess I will have to stay inside until later. I have a new tablecloth for my outside area- the wind whipped the other one, I am going to trim it, and put elastic in it, so it stays on once you put it on. I order turquoise fabric to recover my old cushions with, I can do that, and MMG and I can dance in our AC basement! That will be fun. It is so coming together!
 
my 2-person cookout just doubled in size. my BIL and SIL are coming over. better go straighten up the house....
