I hope that all of you are waking up to a peaceful morning. I slept super-hard last night and didn't want to move this morning but here I am! I am absolutely *loving* the weather. I just wish for some drizzle overnight to water the plants that I can't reach with the hose (most of them). But I am not going to complain, I simply love being warm.

I was able to get out shopping and back by noon. There was something weird going on, too. As I drove to the market (25 mins from me) there were cops everywhere, mostly pulled over with dump trucks. I counted at least 6 on the side of the road and I saw several others just waiting. One pulled out behind me, lights on, and I just about had a heart attack! What a huge sigh of relief when he passed me.
Even though we were all home at lunchtime, we didn't eat together. Scott has gotten the new Zelda game and he and Caitlyn wanted to play that instead. It was a good choice- they miss each other since their work schedules are so different. The planter box is filled and I cleared out the dead leaves up against the house- most of them. As I was raking one area, I noticed clumps of fluff and possibly fur- might be a rabbit den underneath so I left that alone.

Today I will force myself to stay indoors. I still have to make cards for the moms. Plus I want to do as much of the party prep as I can today so I am not running around crazy tomorrow before everyone gets here.

Wishing everyone a happy day! :hug2:

Exactly! A clean kitchen counter ..... and still there is poop! I think it was done for spite, LOL!
OMG! That is *exactly* what I said about the mice in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago. I disinfected everything and 10 minutes later, there was poop right in from of the microwave. I said to Gary that they were taunting me :rotfl:
So exciting that one of the photo orders is shopped already.
Sounds like you did good shopping but don't you hate how the sizes are getting smaller and smaller? :(

@taxed4ever WOW!! The gift box is awesome!!! Your MIL will love it! Personally, I don't think you need a card, it stands well on its own.
Were you able to get out on the lake yesterday? Have a nice time with the ILs today

@bcgal00 Do you ever feel like Remi is the smartest one in the house? I know I would feel outsmarted by here very darn day LOL Poor baby that she dug her toy where you couldn't get it.

@Cherylndesigns Sorry that you haven't been able to get outside because of the rain but I bet your plants are all very happy.
Good job for catching up on the laundry even if it is only temporary. Laundry is like cooking-- ya have to do it all the time, and it's never, ever done for good. :/

Speaking of which, I have a load in the dryer and another load ready to go in the washer.

HAGD!! xo

Good morning ladies. I've fed the birds and dogs, got coffee, pulled out chicken for dinner, played outdoors with Remi, put the water sprinkler on and now I can finally sit down. It takes over an hour to get everything done. I bought a good keto dessert magazine when I was at the drugstore yesterday. My energy is still low so don't feel like baking right now but maybe next wkend. Tomorrow for Mothers Day, Jen and I are going to see the new Book Club movie and we are both looking forward to indulging in a large bag of popcorn with butter and smarties poured into the bag. If you have never tried it, it is so good. I don't veer off low carb often but this is worth it.

I'm feeling somewhat better and D is feeling yucky now. I'll be upstairs puttering and scrapping so hopefully he will get some rest in his chair (he is stubborn and won't lay in bed where he would be more comfortable).

@faerywings Yes, Remi is the smartest one in the house LOL. I constantly see a look on her face as she tries to trick me and tease me i.e. she will plop her ball under the outside stairs and then give me a sneaky innocent look that says "oh, did I put this in the wrong place? You don't want to come here and get it?" and then is so excited when I tell her to do it right - then she does LOL. I caught her lifting the edge of the carpet yesterday and tucking a bone under the corner of it and then barked at me to come see what she was doing. So proud LOL. Bella couldn't find it.

Remi is waiting for me to go upstairs to get dressed. Her internal clock is spot on LOL. HAGD everyone.

Good evening. I've been gone all day - firstly, we went to Nancy's for lunch. Saturday is meatloaf day - meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. The servings are so big that Adrienne and I split an order. Her meatloaf is SO yummy - she puts this sweet layer on top.

Adrienne and I met Roger and Braden there, then went on our way to that cool, family-owned nursery. I bought some tomatoe plants and Adrienne got some big pots. Then we met Roger at Lowe's. I went there specifically for one more bag of black mulch. Guess what? I got everything but that. I got some windchimes to hang on my arch in the front, lots of potting soil, some lavender - they actually had some, and some bush bean seeds. I know it's late, but I'm going to plant them anyway. My pole beans didn't do well last year, so I'm trying Kentucky bush beans this year. I have two huge, beautiful pots that I brought from Florida and I'm going to plant the beans in them.

Then we went to Walmart to pick up a couple of things for tomorrow. We were exhausted from being in the heat and just had to run through Starbucks and get those toffee ribbon fraps. LOL We really NEEDED them.

Ava's Lab has been here all day - she went to Tulsa and her dog has been hanging out here with Daisy.

Happy Mother's Day to all - have a wonderful day. I guess we're having a light brunch, then all going out to dinner at the restaurant where Alyssa works. She has to work tomorrow evening, so we'll go "annoy" her.

waving to all and XOXO. :waving1

Good morning!

This is just a super quick hello and wishing you all a fantastic day.
I know it can be full of mixed emotions for some. I am sending love and support and joy all together to everyone.

My best gift today-- Scott has rearranged his work schedule so he can be stationed up-county and will take his break as close to 11-12 as he can so he can be here for a little while.
Gotta run, so much to do -- no matter how well I try to plan and prep it never turns out good enough LOL!!

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day!

I was able to FaceTime with Sydney a couple of times yesterday and once this morning so that made my mood great. Shaun, Brian and I will leave in about 30 minutes and head to an all you can eat brunch buffet to celebrate down in Palm Coast. So I'm going to enjoy myself today. We will stop and take a look at the house while we are down there...we have a guy lined up for fencing who has fenced our yard here so we have someone reliable. YAY!! So we want to take a look at the backyard and figure out where to put the fence.

The number of boxes just keeps growing and growing! I was so stressed by the time that I finished Syd's closet, I decided that there was no way to make that work! In the middle of the night, I decided that we are going to rent some climate controlled storage and put things there while we figure out what to do with them. And maybe we will have things in storage until the kids move out or until I go to assisted living or until we retire in a state with basements. LOL

@faerywings I am soooo excited that Scott is going to be able to drop in around lunch time. That is so sweet...a really good gift!

@bcgal00 I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better, however slowly.

Ok, Brian just said that we are ready...so I'm closing down the laptop and I'll be back later.

Good Sunday Afternoon!
Happy Mother's Day! Even if you don't have biological children, I'm sure you have mothered someone.....it's what we women do best because He created us that way!! Even if your children have fur or feathers or whatever! ;)

I received the best surprise on Friday evening when my oldest daughter from Ohio walked in the door with her youngest daughter. Jessica had pre-planned with Mark to make sure we did not already have plans. He keeps a good secret, LOL! My youngest daughter lives about 20 minutes from me, so we had a great girls weekend! Elisabeth has two daughters. So all 6 of us spent the whole day together yesterday and my sweet SIL fixed supper for all of us! Everyone went to church with me this morning and then we went to KFC for lunch afterwards before Jessica headed back to Ohio....a 6-hour trip! You can be sure I will be scrapping some pages about the weekend later!

Hope everything came together for your brunch, @faerywings . Sounds like you had a good start to Mother's Day, @Cherylndesigns and @bcgal00 . Hope your stress level has leveled out after your brunch, @LSlycord ! Hope everyone else had a great day!

BFN! :bye2:

Good evening my lovelies.

I hope you all had a great day. I sure did. Last-minute change, Ava's AC went out and it't 91 outside, so we switcherood our celebration to our house. The move was flawless. Ava had everything planned to a T and Braden had helped her with everything. Alyssa had to work a double shift at the restaurant, so we're all going there for dinner tonight so we can see her. Our adopte family member, Aly was here, as well. Casey and her daughter stopped by to bring me a beautiful potted plant and some herbs. We tried to get them to stay, but they had plans. I got so many beautiful flower arrangements and a couple of live plants. The kids all went together and got Adrienne and I beautiful gift baskets. I'm not sure when Ava did all of that because she was here until after midnight last night.

After brunch, Adrienne and I went over to Lowe's - they're still doing so much landscaping. I bought the other bag of black mulch I needed to finish the front garden, a couple of pots of English Ivy and a beautiful big round pot of Gerbera Daisies to sit on my front porch. We got SO hot walking around the garden center that we really needed a Starbucks Toffee Crunch Frap.

Chris @faerywings the kids got me the coolest journal with a sugar skull on the front! I'm sure you loved it that Scott got to be with you today. Your house is like ours - revolving and always lots of moving parts. Never a dull moment. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Vicky @vickyday that IS the best gift ever when one of our kids/grandkids walk in the door. How special that she had coordinated that with Mark. Linda @LSlycord I'm glad you got to FT with Syd. I know you're feeling a little manic right now (I only say that because I know the feeling) but you'll get it done, girl.

Happy Mother's Day to all. Yes, it can be a sad time, but it's also a happy time. I've learned to keep the happy times in the front of my mind, especially on days like this. Our little "adopted family member" Aly has been "disowned" by her mother and I've adopted her and so has our whole family. We love her like our own. She didn't live up to her mother's expectations, so her mother litlerally turned her back on Aly. We have embraced her and that's the way we should live. Casey didn't have a very good homelife either, so I'm her "adopted mom" and her daughter's "adopted grandma". Family isn't always blood - sometimes it's by heart". Shameless plug for our theme for this month's Art Journaling Challenges.

Made it back in here. The ocean was beautiful today. Very calm so the different colors of blue were gorgeous.

Lunch was good. Talked with Syd a couple more times. She has decided to go to Brussels for her free weekend and she has talked 3 other girls in going with her. She has taken over the planning. She has figured out the train and booked the hostel. She wanted me to take a look at it for my opinion. She did a good job. Looks to me like she will be able to plan all future family trips.

@vickyday what a wonderful surprise to have your daughter walk in. I’m sure that all of you girls had a fantastic time yesterday! Couldn’t ask for a better gift.

@Cherylndesigns sounds like the brunch was perfect once you moved locations. So glad that you were able to include some others in the festivities. And you are right, it will all get done.

Love to all.
