More snow. %@*&%# snow!!!!!!!! No sooner do we get the driveway and road cleared from the snow yesterday do we get several more inches overnight.
What a mess.
The *only* good thing is the snow doesn't last as long since the days are getting longer and the sun is getting stronger. But still...

Nancy- it was last year that NJ got dumped on with snow in March? All of the years run together at this point. I do remember that it snowed a lot in March of 2014 because I had issues of getting to the Dr and worries over my surgery day when I had my lumpectomy.

The roads were fine getting Caitlyn in the afternoon although we got a bit lost leaving campus. There is a secondary exit that I thought I would take instead of going to the main entrance, but I missed the turn. I kept going straight and ended up where all of the dorms are. Wow, dorms sure have changed since I was in college. Most of them looked like small condos- really adorable. Even the tower dorms had huge windows to look towards the mountains.

I am supposed to go to the monthly Food Pantry this morning. I hope that the roads are cleared to go. Other than that I don't have a lot happening.

have a spectacular weekend! If anyone sees the sun, tell him I miss him!

Rae- what is your book about? I am going to start stocking up from the library so I will have stuff on hand after my surgery.
Hope that you are all caught up on your work.
Did you watch the Whiskey Cavelier pilot? We did and Gary hated it. I thought it was ok but that it didn't come together until the end. I am not sure if he wants to keep watching.

Trudy- I am totally wishing for spring here too but you will have it before us. The railing looks gorgeous so clean and bright. Well worth the effort!
I am looking forward to seeing Heather's painting as you work on it.

Jean- How lovely to get out for a drive and see the birds. I can hear some chirping outside of my window as I type this.

Felis- I remember you talking about the bracelets last year. Glad that you got to enjoy the holiday again. I hope that you are caught up on your work too.
That really stinks that you can't find the photo that you are looking for. :(

Hi, Karen and everyone who reads this!

Morning ladies... quick post from me this morning, DH and I are off to Costco and Michaels and SwimCo. I need to pick up more swimsuit cleaner from SwimCo. So I need to get into the shower and get going!!

Chris - Uggh!! Even more :smow: for you overnight!! It must be driving you crazy!! I will try to send the sunshine out your way, it looks like the sun will be with us for the next few days! I will tell it how much you are missing it! I hope the temps warm up for you today and melts all that white stuff away! Too bad that your Gary did not like the new show, hopefully you will find a show that you both will want to watch together!

Jean - I hope that you have a lovely sunny day for your drive and that you get to see lots of birds!!

Felis - Don't you just hate it when you can't find something that you really want or need!! Hope you do find your photos one day, however I am sure the one you use for your page is great! Hope you enjoyed your special holiday and try not to work the whole weekend away!

Karen - Good luck with getting the spring garden planning all done for your complex!

Ok off to the shower and then away we go, will try to miss the busy time of the shopping day and get home to enjoy the afternoon! Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

good morning - yesterday I felt like I was catching my DH's cold but today I feel much better. I can only hope. Yes as Chris said more snow last night and now more snow Sunday night into Monday am. We had between 4-5 inches and the same is expected for Sunday. But it sure is pretty! My poor Devils lost again 6-3. My Devils tied it but One of my players crossed the line and boarded one of the Flyers. He got a major penalty but then when that player interfered with my player he got nothing. He sat on the Flyers bench grinning like the Cheshire cat who at the canary. My player severed his penalty. Those Flyers were not be as dirty as they are if the refs actually made the correct call. Tonight they play in Boston. Not much else going on.

Chris I think for sure our snows are coming in the fall and then in the spring instead of the winter. At least coming in March they should melt fast. Hope all help clean out the drive ways and side walks.

Trudy my Devils play the Bruins tonight and I doubt they will give you much trouble in keeping the Bruins winning streak alive. I hope they are not too hard on my poor team. OMgosh your stair case is gorgeous! You and Gary did an amazing job. Have fun with the painting.

Felis have a great holiday. sorry you could not find the photo you wanted. That is always the pits.

Karen I cant imagine do the gardening for your whole complex. Good luck! I do not have a green thumb.

Jean I hope you have sun and see lot of birds. I think ours are in hiding this weekend.

Waving to all
Have a great day!

We didn't see many species of birds yesterday, but the ones we saw made us happy. Signs of spring were our first Turkey Vulture of the season and a pair of Red-tailed Hawks perched together. Robins were plentiful, feeding in fruit trees and on the ground and turning over leaves. They were pretty vocal. And last we saw the Merlin again which really makes us smile. It will probably head north soon, but it was super to see it still here.

Felis, I had forgotten your lovely March 1 holiday, but the lovely new page about it quickly reminded me. I can see why it is your favorite. Sorry you have to work on the weekend, but it will be nice to have the extra work done.

Chris, an adventure on campus, seeing what new dorms are like. I don't think I see that here, but they still use dorms I lived in long ago as well as a much taller one. Sorry about the snow. We're probably in for some of that along with very cold weather.

Trudy, hope the shopping was fun and you found the right canvas.

Nancy, wow, hope you've dodged that cold. Just what you don't need. Is DH over his? Keep plugging for your Devils, they'll play some more good games.

Have a good weekend!

*grumble grumble grumble* Oh yay, March is here- Spring is right around the corner. Why is March becoming the worst month for snow? Snow on Friday. Snow on Saturday. Snow Sunday night to Monday morning. This is BS!!!!! We are forecast to get another 4-8" :frusty:
Both kids have classes to tomorrow morning, Cait leaves at 7 am. I hope that the AM classes are canceled at least. Gary and I are supposed to be taking Ray and Jaida in to the vet. Ray is overdue for her Senior Wellness exam and J needs a heartworm test run. If we can't get in, neither is the end of the world, but as it is I feel the pressure of having to get stuff done before the surgery. (Did I tell you that is scheduled for March 20?) It is going to be hard not being able to drive for a couple of weeks let alone drag dogs to the vet. I struggle with J as it is.

Yesterday was a bust of a day. We waited at the FP until 11.20 and it never opened. All of the people waiting until then and as they started to leave, I did too. I am starting to stress- with not being able to clean, that puts pressure on my grocery "budget." I have been checking to see if it might be rescheduled for this Saturday but it is possible that the FP volunteers arrived soon after I left.

We started a new puzzle and that took up a lot of the afternoon. This one has the weirdest pieces ever. There are pieces that look like they should be edges but aren't and there are pieces that look like they aren't edges but are. We got a decent chunk of the colorful sections done but I think it is going to be all downhill from here.

My parents are coming up with bagels this morning and my mom is probably going to leave her laptop here for Gary to work on. I have to do online grocery shopping this week, there is no free time until Friday and we will run out of food (coffee and half and half!) by Tuesday. So I am going to be searching for coupons and such to do that.
And of course, I will be watching out of the window for the snow to begin and will be yelling at it once it does. :blah:

Have a fun day, ladies!

Trudy- What fun stuff did you get at Michaels- all of the paints you need for Heather? Hope you had fun shopping with your Gary.

Nancy- The snow is *not* pretty, Nope, not at all. (Especially when you have three dogs pooping and peeing on it. :p ) I think you are right, we seem to get more snow in Nov and then March then we do in Jan or Feb. The roads clear up more quickly so at least there is that. Hope that the snow passes us all by.

Jean- hearing about the spring birds you saw gives me a tiny bit of hope! Sounds like you are starting to get your strength back-- I hope that I am right.

Hugs to all of you!

Lorraine
good morning – yesterday I was so lazy and tired. My daughter had infusions last week which adds up to a lot of driving starting early and getting home late. So glad it is over. But I was TIRED. Plus I’ve been dealing with migraines for the first time in my life and the medication also makes me sleepy.
Today is a new day. Ready to plan the menus for the week, do some clean up and scrap. Can’t wait to visit the gallery and see what others have created.

Chris – so much snow. I’m sure you are ready for it to end. What do you do to keep busy during the storms. I can only equate it when we get tropical storms and hurricanes. We have to prepare for power loss. Grateful I have a gas range.

Trudy, I missed Whiskey Cavalier and was hoping it was good because I just set the recorder. Now I’m on the fence

Felis have a great holiday.

Karen, wow a whole complex garden. I’m lucky if I don’t kill the few I have in my potted garden. Bravo!!!

Jean, the bird watching sounds to relaxing. I love time spent with nature. It grounds me.

Good morning, ladies. It's been a busy but fun wkend. Jen visited Friday night and then Sat morning I headed out for a photowalk to a new location with a photography group. It was cold but sunny so was a wonderful hike through the trails. We didn't see any birds except for a blue heron. Mostly it was a fun time with some old friends and some new ones.

Today we'll head up to spend the afternoon with B, I need to take Taz out for a walk first and we need to go to the pet store for his treats. I'm sure the day is going to fly by.

Chris - I'm reading The Family Next Door right now. Not sure where the story is going but I like it so far. We loved WC, love the fun lighthearted comedy and love the two main characters so we will continue to watch. I listened to an interview with Scott Foley (the show is his creation) and he wanted to create something kind of similar to a show from many yrs ago Moonlighting which I watched when I was young. I'm glad you got your surgery date, the sooner its done, the sooner you can recover and get on with things. I know it'll be hard for you to take it easy for awhile but hopefully it will all proceed quickly and you'll soon be recovered. Enjoy the bagels with your family this morning.

Trudy - did you get all your errands done?

Nancy - hope you haven't caught your DH's cold. Hope you go to relax and enjoy the game yesterday. That's crazy how much snow keeps coming. Our's has melted away quite a bit and only a bit forecasted mid week so hopefully we are over the hump of snow accumulation this year. I'm ready for spring.

Jean - sounds like your bird walk was more productive than ours. We only saw a blue heron and crows. It was a fun walk but not many birds at all at the small wildlife preservation area we went to.

Lorraine - hope your migraine is gone today. Enjoy scrapping if you get a chance to do any today.

Got to go get more coffee and get some things done this morning before heading out. Hope you all have a great day.
