Ok ladies (and gents, if you are out there too!), get your fingers and computers and tablets ready, this weekend is officially dedicated to scrapping!!!
And by officially- I mean by *me.* And that is what counts. :D

How was your Friday? Hope it was a good day. I steam cleaned and steam cleaned. And steam cleaned. For 3 hours, IIRC? and only two rooms! The rugs were so dirty. Must have been a lot of mud and dirt way down. I was hoping I would have time and energy to do my BR but that didn't happen.

After I did that, I spent some time chatting with Scott before he went to Leah's for the weekend. Played with the pups a bit. Scrapped a bit. Watched TV and ate leftovers for dinner. Finished my box of wine. There was not even one full glass in it, very sad.

We also got a call from the school district with an announcement about the unused snow days. We only used one of the seven we get, so they gave us two extra days off, and moved graduation up to the 20th of June. I think they kept one out for this Monday just in case the snow ends up sticking.

Today I have to do a few things around the house and I hope to be free for the Chat this morning/afternoon/evening, depending on what time zone you are in. I think it is noon for me. I also want to scrap some pics of my godson. I got a coupon for a free 8x8 Shutterfly book and I make a book for him every year for his b-day. He is going to be *five!!!* :faint2:
The coupon expires in the 31st and I have maybe 10 LOs to make in that time. Templates-- here I come!!!

What are you doing today? Lots of relaxing and scrapping?? Hope so!

Nancy- great night for you and the Devils!:cheer2:
Hope that your DS feels better. How are Rex and Luther? Having fun playing together still? Hope so. Jaida had us laughing this morning. She wanted to play with Ray who preferred her nap. J dropped a toy on her back and when Ray got up to walk away, it stuck on her, looking like a saddle. Silly pups.
Blindspot is one of my news fave's. It is unusual and fascinating, IMHO. We did watch Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders last night on the DVR. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, thinking it was just going to be Criminal Minds... international. But I think I am going to enjoy the cultural and geographical perspective.

Trudy- How awesome to get outside for some yard work. and to the the LI Medium too is payment. My mom loves to watch her. Hope you aren't too achy today.

Rae- I guess I got so excited for you getting your hair done, I didn't want you to wait! LOL So it was yesterday? Bet you look fab!!!
Company on your dog walk now too? You really fell inot good stuff with Ava. Are you all ready for Beckham?
Enjoy your party today!!

Z- I can see that Cooper is a ham!He looks so eager to please based on the photos. Is he a big mush? I just want to reach into my screen and snuggle into his soft fur!!

hugs to all!

good morning - well the tomorrow the first day of spring is to be cold but at least the snow threat is pretty much gone. Yea. Today is playing with the dogs. Had them out early this morning playing in the backyard. Now they are resting! Soon it will be walk time. My DH and I will each take one of them should be fun! Then hockey time! And scrapping of course.

Chris my DH loves his steam cleaner and I think it is saving our carpet. And it is amazing how that dirt just loves to stay in the carpet. LOL Enjoy today! Congrats on the school doing the right thing and giving back days and moving up graduation!

Trudy you are such a good sister! Hope you are not too sore today! But at least it will be a good sore! I have seen the LI media and she is pretty amazing! I am sure you will have fun.

Rae I have two dogs for the weekend and it should be interesting as Luther is now older so they are playing better together especially if we keep them worn out LOL. Hope you have fun at the party tonight with your fresh new look!

Have a great day all!

GooOd mOrning and welcome Spring!!!

Right now, it looks pretty out my window- the sun is shining, and I can't feel the cold air. It is 32*F and we are going to get some snow later on today. But it should all be gone soon since tomorrow should be sunny and in the 40's.

Today is the last day of the party but there is still time to get your LO's scrapped to be entered for the prizes. All LO's need to be linked here, Grand Prizes by March 27th.

Yesterday was one of those confusing kinds of days. I got a few things done around the house, then my mom called. We needed to swap Loyalty Cards for the supermarket. I had enough points for a free ham, and we don't eat ham so I give mine to her. The. She was close to a free ham on her card, but didn't think she would spend enough to hit it before the promo closed. I will spend that much just by looking at my shopping list ;)

I spent a bit of time at the Chat and it was so nice to chat with some of you in real time.

Mom offered to take me out for a slice of pizza and so we ran over to the pizzeria and chatted with her for a bit. We went over our calendars for the next few months. I am entering my "Stuff Happening Non-Stop" phase, where I have countless b-days, anniversaries, school and family obligations, between now and the beginning of July.

After she left, Cait and I spent time looking at prom dresses online. The woman who made Cait's stunning corset dress 2 years ago closed her storefront due to health issues. She is still designing and creating from her home, thank goodness, but that means Cait can't go to the shop to see and try on the dresses like she did last time. We found 2 corsets that she likes parts of each and is going to contact the dressmaker to see if she can custom make it from that. That involved much cursing at my computer as it kept locking up on me.

After that, I fought some more with my computer trying to get my April Challenge prepped, and then it was time for dinner.

Kind of a bust of a day. Hope I can get my act together today!

xoxoxo!!

We all know today is Spring/Vernal Equinox but did you know that it is also:
Snowman Burning Day! Every year on the first day of spring, students at Lake Superior State University burn a snowman to celebrate the end of winter. The inspiration for this unique tradition comes from the Rose Sunday Festival in Germany. The mayor of each town burns a straw snowman if the children of the town have been well behaved all year. The smoke rising from the bonfire is supposed to ward off blizzards and usher in the spring season.
The first Snowman Burning Day took place in 1971. An LSSU student club called the Unicorn Hunters organized the event and established several traditions including the annual poetry competition. Students, faculty, staff, townspeople, and kids in the community compose poems about the snowman burning and recite them during the event.
To celebrate Snowman Burning Day, check out videos and photos from LSSU, break out your spring wardrobe, and say goodbye to winter!

How funny is that? LOL

Everyone was very quiet in here yesterday, I hope it was b/c you were having fun scrapping and chatting instead. I know that Rae and Trudy were at the Chat. :typing:

Nancy- Too cute about you and DH taking the dogs for a walk together. I bet they did great! Good to get them outside and get the energy out. Cait and Brendan took Jaida only to the dog park. Ray is going back into her nervous shell again. Jaida had a fab time and really played and ran and tumbled with the other dogs. My plan for Ray is to take them both during the day when there won't be as many dogs and re-acquaint her to the park, make her feel comfortable again.
Anyway- I hope that you had a good time with scrapping and hockey!

And the steam cleaner- just wait at how much mud Luther is going to bring in! Your DH will be going non-stop hahah!!!

Zanthia- My nephew doesn't care all that much for the albums at this point but my SIL does. When he gets older (adult older probably!) I knew he will enjoy looking through them.
I am with you on the hair cut/color. I have to get mine done soon so it will be ready for all of these upcoming events that I have to be in public for.
Rub Cooper's belly for me!

good late morning! My DH and I had the dogs out for a good long walk 2.3 miles and according my activity guide I have passed my goal. LOL They are super good on the walk they just want to go faster than my old legs want to go. This afternoon is a fun day at the rock as Zach and I are going to be in the penalty box during warm ups so I can get some fun close ups. We are going to play the same team with just lost to last night. We just cannot defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Devils tied it early in the 3rd 3-3 and then proceeded to give up 3 goals and lose 6-3. Not good. I need my Cory Schneider back in goal. He got injured at just the wrong time. At least the game is an early start. Snow is coming but at least not until later tonight as then should be gone fast.

Chris glad you had fun time with your mom. Cait's prom dress was so cool last time I hope she can get the dress maker to work her magic again.

Zanthia pretty interesting to take a puppy to a Easter Egg hunt. I am sure he had a great time!

Trudy saw the Bruins lost to but they are at least in the Playoffs.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... I was very MIA here yesterday, but we had a very busy day! After the chat in the morning (well morning for me and Rae and Clara) we spent a short time at McBarley's Wine making, bottling the 30 bottles of wine that I won at the wine tasting a while back. It turned out just awesome and I now have my own stash that I don't have to share :becky: Well I might share a bottle or two. Then we spent the rest of the day in our own front yard, tidying up the flower beds and raking up dead leaves etc. Yes more raking, I am sore today! We needed to get all this done before the rains come again today. It was nice to spend the day out in the sun yesterday! Today we are off to visit our friends from Saskatchewan that have rented a cabin in Qualicum and also looking at a few furniture places on the way there for dining room chairs.

Chris - I sure hope that the dressmaker can do what Cait wants, she looked amazing last year and I know she will again this year!! Nice that you spent time with your Mom also. I can't believe the party is over here already!! I have so much catching up to do and with so many fabulous layouts in the gallery it might take me a week to comment on all of them!

Nancy - Hope your Devils do well today and that you get some awesome photos!! Hubby still is loving that poster that you did for him! Bruins did not play well last night, but hooray for being in the playoffs, lets see if they can past the first round. Bet Luther is glad to have a buddy to walk with and look at you passing your goal!!! WTG!!

Waving hi to everyone as I really need to get going and get out the door soon! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!! I wish I could stay and scrap the day away with you all, but this visit will be a lot of fun and I wouldn't miss it for the world!

Happy Spring, indeed! Would you believe it's snowing? It's very light and too warm to stick, but, really?

Yesterday was the monthly computer genealogy group, so missed the chat. Have been using up all my words on all the LOs maybe. And thanks, Chris, for the lovely comments on my Birthday Girl one!

Hope to be better at chiming in here soon.

Hi everyone! Busy wkend. Yesterday I was out with the dogs, came home for a late lunch, had a 1/2 hour nap and then headed out to a party with friends. We got home late last night. Then Beckam came this morning, he was comfortable with us but a bit stressed, trying to find his place here, where to lay down, trying to herd Taz all over the house. Being a herder dog (Australian Shepherd) he wants to lay somewhere where he can keep an eye on everybody. If I get up and move around the house he come with me and then wants to herd me back into the LR (seems to be his fave spot). He's mellow and friendly. We went for a very long walk and left I left the dogs at home with my hubs so I could go run some errands. It'll be time to make dinner in a few hours and I'm thinking about lying down for a nap before taking the dogs out for a short walk and then make dinner. I think it'll be an early bedtime tonight too. So might not be getting any scrapping done, unless I perk up after a nap.

I've enjoyed checking in on the games and challenges this week and the gallery has been overflowing with creativity. It's been fun.

Heading off for a short nap now. I can hardly keep my eyes open.
