What a weekend!!! We have St. Patrick's Day here in the US. That isn't something that I celebrate aside from making corned beef. I don't eat red meat but I will have a little bit of that once a year. It is also the kick off to the O's 12th Birthday Party! Now *that*-- I do celebrate!! yay!!!!

BFFATS's son is marching in the parade in NYC today. The crowning jewel of my town is the HS Marching Band. They are seriously impressive and have marched in the NYC parade for years. If you are watching, he will be passing the grandstand about 1.30 pm EST- West Milford Highlanders Band-- he is playing the cymbals. I hope to be near a TV at that time but if not, I hope that someone is able to upload video.

Cait and I had a good time together. As we wandered through the dollar store, we fine-tuned the ideas that we had for our posters. Mine is just about down. I found black foam board and I did the lettering in chalk paint so it looks like I am holding a chalkboard. Not that anyone uses chalkboards anymore, but I think people will get the concept.;) I took a few pictures and will upload them soon.
Caitlyn has a gun shooting the words "Thoughts and Prayers..." and under it-- "are not enough." She has the gun's flash done in orange lilies to symbolize peace as well as gun violence awareness.

But the best part of the day was when we went to the pet store and watched the ferrets playing for a half hour. If that doesn't lift your spirits. :D They were so funny- hopping around and play fighting.

My IL's are coming up this afternoon for dinner so that should be nice.
I just wish it would be warmer. *grumbles* it doesn't look liekit is going to get over 40* this next week. bah.

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day, my dears!
Here is lovely sunny afternoon and we will celebrate with barbecue. Actually it's not holiday for my country, but who needs reason to make grilled veggies. And personally I celebrate it because my favorite actor Colin Morgan is Irish!!! He is superstar, something like Miles Wood in the Nancy's world (Yep, I see the name from one LO ;) ) ! I still suffering that last year I had to cancel my visit to his play, and even worse no chances to go on this year  . He is really so talented, I'll definitely go in future, and for now we have TV for solace.

And till we speaks for TV shows, at yesterday episode on the local series I watch now, had a scene so similar of what Rae was shared, so it was sooo strange! But the handsome doctor saved the girl from the aggressive boyfriend. Would be so lovely if B can find some handsome doctor too! I can't wait to Thursday, upss, I mean Tuesday, to see what will happens next!

I scroll yesterday thread to see how you all are dressed up for the O party, and you are so pretty all! But my post was the last, so see your personal notes there, please!
Have a lovely weekend! Hugs and kisses to all! I'll have to go on sun! :banplease: :pupkiss: :cofbath:

Chris, I love ferrets. Any surprised :) ?! The concept of these signs, sounds great! I really want to see the pics. Oh it's a lovely to celebrate St. Patrick, isn't it? Have a fun with your family!

Nancy! Oh man, when it is going to get warm????? why is it so cold????
"Complaints from Northern NJ" haha!!!
That is hysterical about Luther having so much fun waiting to get to daycare. What a good boy. :pupkiss:
That is nice that your DH is out with his family. Must be hard having everyone so far away.

Trudy- what a fun avatar! I have to upload mine, but mine is very boring. The good old days of being able to rewards kids with a happy meal, and good for Mason for being a helper to Heather.

Jean- your avi is cute too- it is going to take me a while to get adjusted to who's who. Enjoy the Irish genealogy talk.

Felis-- OMG- the cat in your avi is adorable and ready to party! Happy that you were able to get a lot done too. I would never think that you were ignoring me. I am too cute to ignore for long. :pound:

Rae- sending hugs!

I have to get rolling, W had me up at 4 am to go out, then I fell back asleep until 7 bit had to get right up and get the corned beef in the crockpot by 8. Then I saw the political news that happened overnight and wasted way to much time trying to read about that, Now I am so late!
sorry for being so brief here!

Morning O-zies, just a quick post from me this morning as we are headed out to the In-Laws to help FIL put the new motor on his boat and get it in the water for the spring/summer season. Not sure why he needed to get a new motor, he hardly ever uses that boat anymore, but oh well I guess it makes him happy, so that is all that matters. Then home by around lunch time and the usual running around and grocery shopping. Pretty dull. Hopefully we will spend some more time out in the backyard finishing off the clean up back there, but that might have to wait until tomorrow. It should be beautiful on the lake today as the sun is shining and there is no wind to speak of. I will take a few pics perhaps. Sorry no time for personals today, gotta get breakfast for DH and then we are outta here :bolt: Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all and Happy Birthday to the O!! Have a great day everyone!

Good late morning! I just got back from a good walk with Luther. The sun is shining brightly and while there is a bit of wind it was nice to get out! My DH's cousins in CO are all having a great time. There are 11 cousins and he remembers the oldest as they are all around his age but the young ones he has a hard time with their names. They had a great time yesterday seeing the CO sites. I asked them to send photos and they did so I will have stuff to scrap. He is usually bad about that but Tish his cousin who has kept in touch the most is good and made sure to get photos of people as my DH is more in to the scenic. Not much happening otherwise. My team plays today at 4:30 my time and it is against the Kings. Again they are a good team and my team needs the win but so do the Kings.

Chris I do not know where the warm weather is but wish it would get here sooner rather than later. Today while on my walk I saw flowers poking through snow. Crazy but beautiful actually. Ferret are pretty funny to watch. Love the posters and cant wait to see posters.

Felis thanks for the comments on my pages. And yes Colin is a hunky Irish man. Glad you are having nice sunny warm weather.

Trudy have fun with the Inlaws and putting on a new motor. Going out on the water always sounds like fun! Sounds like Heather was in for a special day. Glad that means they are all feeling better.

Jean have fun at the meeting. Starting out about the Irish - perfect for today.

Rae sending Hugs!

Have a great day all.

Goood morning girls,
I still sleep. It's morning here, but will be busy day so I wanted to scrap before that, but no have mojo. This night was bad. They was told in forecast to expect strong wind, but usually this is for the capital, not here. And this time was here too. Wind turn down some pots that mom planting yesterday. They fall from maybe 1 inch border where they are placed in row, fall sideways, not big deal but enough noise to make dogs to bark. After that wind found one plastic bag and start noise with it just under the windows. It was so annoying, that mom couldn't stand and go to remove it. Which again create new dogs barking episode. Then Tiny is saw that the power is turn off, maybe from the clock or the street lamp, but she start barking and again the same. This time even dad is wake up :) . I don't know why this scared he so much. But after that she bark few more times, just because I'm tuch her when I'm turns in the bed. So I slept very fragmented. Today is the grocery and we will go also to one garden center. And also cleaning. So after I catched the Flash sale, maybe I wouldn't come back here, so I hurry to post.

I would never think that you were ignoring me. I am too cute to ignore for long. :pound:
Oh yes, you are! :cof3: And I know you aren't fussy, we have saying: ''she is over the things'', mean not affect from the trivial things. Thank you for the compliment for my avi! It looks like everyone likes it, even O Fairy  . It's actually angry cat from SoMa's kit, but I made it happy party animal.
Did you see the boy, your BFFATS's son in the parade? I even watch the news to see did they'll show some parades from different countries, but not it was only for some river colored in green. I hope it's safe for the fish! My mom said that they use cake paint, but I'm not sure do cake is good for the fishs too :p .

Trudy, so your FIL have a boat, so cool! It must be wonderful to can go in the middle of the lake in summer day! I would be a little bit scared from the water, but excellent swimmer like you must be so thrilled.

Nancy, so nice from the side of this cousin who will send you photos. And flowers poking through snow must be so pretty. This year here grass just come up green under the snow, higher than usual.

Jean, I saw you in the birthday talk, so I know you're fine but busy, which makes me happy!

Rae, sending hugs!

:bored: Have a lovely and calm day, girls! :cof2:

Happy Sunday! Hope that any of you who celebrated St Patrick's day with beer don't feel too bad this morning

We had a nice-- if very loud- time with my IL's. we looked at Scott's, MIL, FIL and my DNA results. It was really neat seeing the same names in our profiles as possible matches. One named showed up on Scott's list and that was my MIL's cousin. Names on my list also showed on Scott's which I knew were on my dad's side of the family. Really fascinating. I can see why Jean loves it so much.

We sat down for dinner and got through the majority of it without discussing politics. But then someone mentioned DT (it wasn't me! I Swear!!!) and it all kind of blew up. FIL is a Republican but hates DT. MIL, Cait and I are very progressive. Scott is more libertarian. Gary stays out of these discussions and Leah just listens. Thankfully, the dogs had no opinions. haha!!!

Today, I am going to get my weekly schedule set and I *must* go to get my blood done tomorrow. No matter what.
The rest of the day, I think that I would like to hang out here for some pre-party things. I also need to work on my April Challenge.

have a relaxing day, my O-Fam!!

felis- I am jealous of your warm weather and BBQ. It is still brutally cold here. Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to see your actor. Maybe someday soon he will be around in a play again.
It would be wonderful to have Bailey be saved by a handsome and talented doctor.
And nope, I am not surprised at all that you like ferrets. How could you not?

Trudy- you are right, if the new motor makes FIL happy and keeps him active than that is a good thing. Did you have a nice visit?
I can't even walk on my lawn yet, it is still covered in so much snow.

Nancy- I am really done with this cold weather. Sounds like DH is having a fun time with the cousins- even if he can't remember some of the names. I would be in the same boat, I haven't even met two of my cousins who live in California.

Felis- Yikes, that sounds like a crummy night, it sure doesn't take much noise to get all of the dogs barking.

Gotta feed the dogs BRB!

I have no mojo either and it is bumming me out. Hope that yours comes back soon.
Yes, it takes a lot to offend me. I get angry at injustice but little things roll off my back. I didn't see my friend's son on TV but she posted some .opictures of him on Facebook, he was carrying the school's banner. very cool! I have known him since before BFF knew she was pregnant. I was the one who told her to go to a pregnancy test LOL

I have to get going, I feel like I have so darn much to do today.

I will try to get the poster photo shared too~!

I usually don't get around to posting after the computer genealogy group meetings and yesterday that was it. We had two people attend who don't often make it and both brought St. Pat's day goodies to share. That was so nice. It's always a good meeting and home mid-afternoon. We'd even had Irish soda bread for breakfast as the the owner of the restaurant where we ate Friday night had made many loaves and she shared one with us. After I got home we watched basketball the rest of the evening and ate a yummy pot roast that I'd started in the crockpot early before going to the meeting. Today we're watching more basketball. It is sunny again but not very warm and the snow not all gone yet.

Chris, watching ferrets and doing the posters was good stuff. I know talking politics can be upsetting even when folks are like minded. Hope you can get all the today and Monday things done.

Felis, sorry you had such a disturbed night and a lot of wind. Hope shopping and cleaning go well. You are so far ahead of me on the weeklies. I put the week 10 photos together some time ago but that's all.

Trudy, hope you're having a good weekend.

Nancy, see the Devils won again and are still in line to make it as a wildcard. Hope you and Luther are out and enjoying.

Rae, thinking good thoughts.
