HelllllooooO weekend!

It looks to be a gorgeous one! Right now the house is silent, I have my coffee the sun is shining and the heat wave has broken- just delightful! I have to enjoy this for a while because in a few hours my family is descending upon me. Did I tell you that I got totally bamboozled last week about my birthday? I knew I would. Meh. My SIL played the Godson card when I desperately tried to explain my birthday wish. She said what would make him happy was to send the day with his godmother. How could I say no to that? :D

But it is all good. I just have to tidy up here. I already warned them that my house would not be cleaned so ignore the dust. They are bringing up all of the food and paper goods and I don't have to do anything. (How long do you think that -- me doing nothing-- will last? 10 minutes? one hour? Placing bets here.... LOL)


What fab plans do you have? If I could send my weather to you all, I would so you could get outside and enjoy!

Happy Saturday girls... :rain: here, I am so envious of you Chris!! send the sun my way would you!! Work on a Saturday for me :mmph: I can't believe I gave up my Saturday morning for those people!! Oh well hopefully the 4hrs goes by quickly and I can enjoy the rest of my weekend!! Not sure what to do the weather is so crappy!! Wow I sound like a negative Nelly this morning don't I?? Guess its because I sat and stared at my computer most of the afternoon yesterday and could not come up with one single layout!!!! I want my mojo back :hurt:

Chris - Hope you are enjoying your quiet time this morning!! Sounds like you are going to have a fun time this afternoon!! Enjoy it!! You deserve it!! Try not to help out, its your special day, let everyone wait on you sweetie!! Most of all... Have FUN!!

good morning ladies...we are getting some good rain...have been since about 1am WEEEEEE we needed this rain so bad!!! supposed to stop by 10 then warm up into the 90's today....just in time for the races!!!! any other nebraska girls gonna be at the eagle races tonight?? then tomorrow we are going camping...i got stuff to make i was gonna make some pasta salad to bring the other family going said they are gonna supply the main food if we can bring a side or something so the pasta salad, brownies and some turkey wraps are what im making :)

Trudy- hope the 4 hours does go by fast for you!!
Chris-i need some quiet time! and how sweet about your godson :) hope you have fun spending time with him!
 
Good evening ladies. I have so much catching up to do. Lots going on at work...a major reorganization and that has really kicked my energy. And having Brian working 4 nights a week leaves me picking up kids and running them to practices. I love the steady income but being a single parent in the evenings takes a bit of getting used to. :-)

Chris, I love your birthday idea! I also know that when it comes right down to it...you will love every minute of having your family around!

Laurie and Trudy...don't envy either of you your work on a Saturday. And Kristy, sounds like you've got a fun weekend ahead.

It has been gray and cloudy here all day. I took Dad grocery shopping this morning (he gave up his car and driving) and to the bank, then hurried home and Brian and the kids and I went to the Art Festival. Didn't buy any art...prices were steep...but did lots of grazing from the food vendors. ;-)

Came home and I grabbed a quick nap...now have my youngest niece for a sleepover. Lots of squealing and screaming gong on. But it is giving me some time to get caught up in the forum and gallery tonight!
 
Hi Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I survived the party, got to spend a bit of time with my godson. he is now walking and does *not* like to stay still for a minute. I am taking it easy today, and hope to scrap this morning and outside a bit in that afternoon.

this is just a short check-in. my face hurts. sinus and nosebleed-related. what a bore.

hope everyone is having a great weekend. Trudy, wishing you some sunshine soon! Chris, you always have such FUN stuff to do, when you're not working your A%$ off! Kristy, hope you remembered the bug spray!
