Happy weekend! Hope everyone had a chance to sleep in and get some extra rest today. I didn't, but at least I didn't have to jump right out of bed so at least there is that.

It rained on and off all day yesterday and it was really cold again. We will have more of the same today. Yuck. I was pretty busy yesterday between making the Faery-Wings things, a card, 6 dozen oatmeal cookies, and then Oreo Pudding for the kids.
After dinner we played girls vs guys Family Feud, girls won!
It wasn't raining after that so they did end up putting up the tent and had a fire going. I love when my kids are happy.

I am off to dinner later on today with Scott, Leah, and Arlene. They are taking us moms to this restaurant that makes ravioli and vodka sauce which will be super yummy.

Good morning - It is cloudy, humid, and should have rain on and off all day. Yesterday was cool but we got no rain. Luther and I just got in from our am walk. We spotted a deer just lying there and he barked and the deer just got up and mozied away. It did not run away they are no scared of dogs or humans. Saw lots of rabbits and chipmunks. Finally got the results from the vet and his thyroid is fine but still has crystals in his urine so they don't want him getting stones. They want him on a new diet and it is chicken based which is what we have tried to avoid because of his early allergies so I looked on line. Well online advice just said less protein. So we can do that as we give Luther ground lamb so we will give less. I will call the vet to let them know. This is when I wish he could talk and tell me what if any thing is wrong. Not much going on this weekend. The boys will do something for their dad on Sunday just not sure what their plans are.

Chris have fun at your lunch/dinner with the kids. Glad the rain stopped and they could do their backyard camping. Hope you get warm today.

Trudy have fun with the kids for the Father's day celebrations. Going out on the boat sounds fun and relaxing. We have had several drownings and rescues due to all the riptides. My son and I both say we think the water is really powerful and we take it very seriously. Neither of us are good swimmers. Me I prefer reading at the beach.

Rae have a great time at the trailer. Hope you get through the border with ease. Hope clean up goes well.

Have a great day all!

Hi, Nancy! I took a bit of a break cuz Caitlyn woke up and had the rats so we snuggled with them for a while.
Glad that you got a good walk in with Luther. One of my cats from a long time ago had crystals in his urine and kept getting blocked up. he is the one that ended up having the sex-change operation to help that. He was one one of the Hills Prescription diets foods, does your vet have anything like that? Crazy how hard it is to find a food that is good for him but that won't trigger allergies.

Trudy- pack a variety of weather-clothes. If Ontario is anything like it has been here, it went from the 50s to 90s to 60s all in a little over a week! It isn't my birthday yet- it's the 26th but thank you!

Rae- I hate that when I lose a post. *grumble* Thank for the b-day wishes too but mine is next week and I am hanging on to the last days of 48 as long as I can.
Yikes about the bear trying to climb your neighbor's balcony! Be safe!

Sharon, Jean, and everyone else -- have a super weekend!

Nancy- fascinating to cook the rice and then crisp some of it in the oven. That is not anything I would have ever thought of.

Hi. We had a quiet night at the trailer, watched a few more episodes of Fargo and then got a good sleep. It's cooler out than we were hoping so we again didn't do our outside chores. Instead we went into town and got a few birthday things for Ella, I got a bunch of scarves on sale, a few rain jackets and shirts. We found amazing sales. Plus the gas was even cheaper than we expected so got a really good price to fill my tank up.

Watching more episodes of Fargo now and will scrap a page as I watch.

Chris - enjoy your dinner. Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday, hope today is fun and relaxing.

Nancy - I agree, I don't think chicken is a good option for dogs, allergies or not. There are lots of other proteins for dogs now. Chicken and beef are the worst and most likely to cause allergies compared to any other of the proteins.

Trudy - enjoy the family time and getting out on the water if the weather is good.

I"m getting a coffee and checking out the challenges. Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning! Just a quick pop in to say hi and to with all of the dad's a happy father day!

Be back later (fingers crossed) !

Morning ladies! Happy Father's Day to all those fabulous Dad's out there!! Rain here today and so cool that we had to put the heat on Sheez Louise can't we get summer soon?? Yesterday was very nice, although not sunny and certainly not warm enough to go out in the boat, but MIL and I started a great fire in the pit and we sat around that for the whole afternoon and visited. FIL and DH were working on the boat motor, guess there was some problem with the starter :noidea: Anyway after they were done with that we welcomed DH's youngest sister and her man to the group and we had a great day of visiting and catching up. DH BBQ'd some hamburgers and they were so good!! No bun for me and I had made a 7 layered salad for myself and anyone else who wanted to try it. MIL had made potato salad. So funny that it did not appeal to me at all. Then back to the fire pit and some more conversation and wine. It was a good day! Today we will just hang out here at home and relax. No yard work with the rain falling pretty good today. So perhaps I will get some housework finished and start to make a list of what I am taking to Ontario. I might need a larger suitcase :becky:

Chris - Sounds like you got lots accomplished yesterday! I bet your dinner was wonderful too! So sweet that the kids took you both out for a treat! How fun that your kids got to campout and have a fire!! I miss camping sometimes, but not sleeping in a tent. I think these days I would go camping again if I had a motorhome LOL. It will be difficult to know what to take with me to Ontario!! Such crazy weather patterns everywhere!! I can't believe that we are having to turn on the heat in the mornings :gaah: Its the middle of June for heaven's sake!!

Nancy - Hope you find the right kind of food for Luther! I had several cats over my lifetime that had that problem and would get all plugged up. Spent a small fortune to get them fixed too. :mmph: Kind of scary that deer are so not afraid of anything, we have had some that have gotten very aggressive and will attack the dogs. Hope that your rain stops soon and that the temps warm up a bit!

Rae - Darn crapy weather at your trailer too!! Too bad that you did not get your yard work done, but it sounds like you had a nice time anyway!! WTG on the great sales too and the better prices on the gas!! I was reading the other day that soon electric cars will be cheaper to buy than gas powered ones, it might be our next kind of car!! But then they will jack up the price of electricity and we won't be any further ahead :becky: Hope that your trip back to Canada is worry free and swift!

Alright I need to find a recipe for Keto pancakes this morning I promised DH that we would have that for his Father's Day meal in the morning. Looking forward to some FaceTime with DD and Mason today. They will call for Father's Day I am sure. Yesterday they went to the African Lion Safari a sort of last trip and fun time together as just the three of them before baby arrives. It looks like a fabulous place to go and see! Here is a link if you are at all interested... http://www.lionsafari.com

I hope you all have wonderful relaxing Sunday!!

Good morning, ladies. Had an an enjoyable quiet evening, caught up on Fargo so we'll be ready for the finale on Wednesday. Scrapped a challenge page while watching. We'll be heading home shortly and will get groceries and tidy up the porch for our BBQ later today. I need to scrub down the BBQ too. Need to find a dessert for Darrell for Dad's Day too. I think the day will fly by.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning, Trudy - we are cross-posting again.

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday and enjoy your quiet day today. The safari sounds like fun, it's something I would love to do. I agree with you, this weather is terrible. We get a nice day or two and then the temps drop and it rains. We're not going to get a long summer this year, that's for sure.

I saw a recipe for cream cheese pancakes I want to try but not sure if I pinned it or not. I'll have to check.

good afternoon - Happy Father's day to all the dads. Nothing much going on in my household. We had fog this early morning and now it is horribly humid and mid-80s. My DH for his day is out doing his thing, going to the gym and to Home Depot. We are having Indian cuisine for dinner. Got a lot of scrapping done so that is good. Had a lot of rain in the afternoon and then went with DH and Luther. Saw a black crowned night heron. That was awesome.

Chris have fun at your father's!

Trudy sounds like the day was great. How fun to sit by the fire pit! Always fun catching up!

Rae sounds like such a relaxing time.

Have a great day all!
