Who is happy that it is the weekend? Sure, I am, why not? :D
I slept so much better last night than I did the night before. I had a variation of my recurring Disney Dream. This time, I was in such a desperate need for a fun vacation that I let Gary convince me to put the trip on the credit card. So it was a really stressful dream but not as much as plagues and murder. haha!!

The temps have dropped so much that I am freezing. Caitlyn and I took W for a walk this morning and I had goosebumps. It should warm up nicely and I am going to spend the afternoon in the yard. *happy*
In spite of feeling crummy most of the day, I was able to get a lot accomplished. Most of it was "busy" work. I did some cleaning and filing. Clean out a shelf in my closet. All of my cardstock was a mess so I tidied that up. Took care of the pets. I also scrapped a page for the Artsy/Mixed Media challenge. That was another one I thought that I would struggle with but it turned out to be a lot of fun.

Today is the Food Pantry but I am on my own. My niece who works at an animal rescue place (Campbell genes mean animal rescue insanity!) and has a possum that she was able to bring home as part of the rehabilitation process. Naturally, Caitlyn wants to see her (the possum) as well as her cousin (helpful, right? hehe!!) so Juliet is bringing her to visit this morning.

Then I will be in the yard this afternoon. I was debating between housework and yard work. Is it any surprise that the yard work won?

What relaxing plans do you have for today?
Love and hugs to all!

Trudy- the same thing sort of happened here. I was supposed to be down at MILs but the forecast was horrible. We had a couple of hours of thunder/light rain. She had nothing. Not a drop. Pfft. The sun was out in the late afternoon but there went my work plans for the day. Bummer.

Gary sent me a link to Snapfish free 4x6s the other day. They automatically crop them but then give you the option for the "Best Fit." Those came out cropped correctly but they weren't free. I didn't have the time/energy to go through and manually crop the photos so I had to let them offer go. I like having new photos in the house too. Bet it was fun to go through the order that you got. ITA- one of the best parts of having to get film developed is seeing the photos that had been taken weeks/months before and getting to relive the moments again.
Hope that you are all packed and ready to go, I can't imagine how excited you must be. My ILs are leaving for Alaska/cruise on the 11th. They will be at the gardens that you and Rae talk about at one point too. So jealous that they will be near you guys!

Rae- I am so sorry about B. I know you know this but we are here for you when you are ready to share. and if you aren't able to share, know that we are still with you every step of the way. We all love you so much.

It was nice seeing some pages of yours on FB. My heart breaks for you...

I am waving hello to everyone and sending hugs~~~~

Hi - after lunch here but was busy in the am. It is so nice that my DH and I had to get Luther out. And we slept late because the AC and fans were off and windows were open so I felt like I could breathe. Yesterday was nice as I got my hair cut and colored and oh that was so nice. Then made a simple steak dinner. Luther had a great time at doggie day care. He came home and zonked out. I got some fun news. My birding friend says there is a Caribbean bird in Maine on an island and asked if I want to drive up with him and see it. We leave on Tuesday and come back on Thursday. We take a ferry to an island and then transfer to another boat to head to the island. I am so excited. There will also be puffins which are such a favorite of mine. I have not been to this part of Maine so that too should be fun! Today started the Tour de France. I love this race. Watched some soccer and then more soccer later and baseball and of course tennis. I feel like I get my exercise watching them LOL.

Chris we got no storms at all yesterday. We heard thunder but no rain. But south of us they got hit really bad. I guess you just never know. Sorry your day was messy. But today should be beautiful and tomorrow too. Have fun with the possum.

Trudy sorry about weather. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Rae so so sorry about B. Sending prayers and hugs and when or if you want to share we will be here but if you don't we are still here with support.

Waving to all
Have a great day!

It's another beautiful day here with great sleeping weather. Only problem is I don't think I accomplished much yesterday. Thursday when it was hot and humid I did go to the library where it was cool. I sat in a comfy chair in the new book reading area and worked on my computer updating my handout. It was only six months old, but every online link had to be checked. I had to delete two and change something. I also had a bit to add. But I finished it in total comfort. It rained while I was there but not when I was driving. All evening and that night we had intermittent thunder storms and lots of rain. So glad it got cooler! And sunny.

Chris, hope your day and weather turn out great and the possum will be fun.

Nancy, what bird, what island? Couldn't find anything in the normal chatter areas, so thinking it is a bit secret for now. That will be exciting, especially if you get to see the target bird. And puffins are so super. Luther must be loving the change to cooler days. And you have such a lot of sports now.

Trudy, the excitement builds while you have another visit. Guess we won't be hearing much from you pretty soon.

Rae, as the others say, always remember we're here for you whether or not you're up to sharing the details.

Felis, know you're having a busy weekend and enjoying having your sister back. Hope she had a wonderful time. I've been thinking about your feelings about the challenges and am really sorry you feel they confine you. I always thought that beyond wanting to showcase the talented designers, the "rules" are really meant to expand our creativity in ways that may not be our normal ones or ones we've never thought of. White space is so not my normal way, but this month I really felt I "got it" for once. Hope you don't mind my comments, but I really don't want you to be unhappy doing the challenges.

Good morning, ladies. I'm not feeling chatty with anyone, both on-line or in person, right now. I actually am feeling more comfortable with scrapping a bit or reading a book as I can get into it and not talk or share. I'll be back next week sometime I'm sure as I can't stay away from you all :)

I might try popping into the gallery here and there and leaving some LO love as I have not done that in a long time. My thoughts are pretty scattered right now so am going to work on keeping things simple and trying to relax as much as I can or scrap and work to keep my brain focused on other things, not myself or my life.

Stay well, all of you, and be back next wk sometime.

Hello ladies,
my sister is have wonderful vacation and I'm more than happy for her. But honestly I'm thrilled to have her back home. I don't share enthusiasm of others to sleep in bed where are sleep hundred people before (the energy of these places never can't be clean), to eat food which isn't proven from where come, and to sweat in company of others on something called beach, noope it's not me. The other part is really awesome: to see these antic places, to feels the energy of antic pain and hope, to meet the sun rise and sunset watching their hugs with the might sea. Sounds so precious! I'm thirsty to hear this part and watch the photos again and again! In future when teleportation is possible people will can be on vacation everywhere at the day and to come back home for late diner and this will be totally Awesome!! ;)

Chris, don't you think that recurring dream is some kind of sign?! Are you play in some of these promotions which offered possibility to win vacations?! I think exactly one of the credit card companies here was offered trip to Disney. We play in such a things all the time, unfortunately without success for now! But some day! Will see! Mind is powerful magnet!
I want to play with possum too! We don't have here so I'm never seen on personal! Have fun with your dirt therapy! Oh your funny story from yesterday is so hysterical :D ! Lovely crazy kids!

Nancy, hahahaha, I wish it was really true that can get my exercise watching videos, then I would have really awesome body! :) This spontaneous 'bird catching' trip sounds so cool! Have fun! I hope you'll have a gorgeous puffins and Caribbean photos!

Jean, you knows how much I respect your opinion and always is pleasure to hear it and to ponder on it! But in this case (about the challenges) I just can't agree with you. Can you imagine Picasso or Monet to follow rules (not I think of my self in this level, but yeah that is what art should be), nope the art exist to break the rules, to express yourself, not to follow someone other steps. And see just the practical side, instead to be able to show these lovely 52 kits which are new and tempting I lost literally one hour to find elements that will fit to the rules and I ended with retired kit. I could use this hour to chat here or to be in the gallery. Of course all this is result only of my greed to collect points, so I blame only myself! If I was real artist I would create my pages just for fun and to make things like I feels it  ! Anyway!
It's sounds as you are doing much work on your handout. It must be interesting to watch how you are able to update it a little bit in such a short time and how fast you improves it! The weather here is similar and I enjoy it too!

Rae, please don't left this to drag you down! I hope the new place is actually better possibility for both, B to have better treatment and Jen to meet new people and find new perspectives. Of course you know that are free to do or don't whatever you want here chat, scrap, comment, or non, choose whatever makes you feels better, just don't forget that we are near to you at any moment you want! :grouphug: .

Trudy, I bet the photos are turned great. Even I think soon you'll want change them with these from Paris  :) .

Hugs and kisses to you all, girls!

Nancy will agree with me, it is *cold* in NJ this morning. It is currently 53*. Last week, it was 75* at 8 am. At least the sun is out so that means we should warm up quite a bit this afternoon, maybe warmer than yesterday afternoon which will be wonderful!

I had a busy day yesterday, but I felt pretty accomplished at the end of it. Caitlyn told me that my BIL was coming up with my niece at 10. For some reason, that put more pressure on me about the messiness of my house than if it were only my niece. Gary and I did a quick run through, wiping down the bathroom and kitchen, vacuuming the LR.

The possum was so adorable!!! She is 3 months old and her name is Lilo. She was so tiny and fluffy. She is learning how to climb and my niece put her on the cat tower and Lilo was hanging on for dear life. Then she was able to pull herself up a bit and climbed the rest of the way on her own.
I ran a few minutes later than I wanted to go to the FP and I was #11. I was there for almost an hour. It is better to get there as soon as they open and then you get in and out quickly. But the time I got back, Juliet and BIL had already left. :(
I had a quick lunch and then went outside for an hour and a half. I trimmed the weeds/grass along the side of the driveway- it never seems to get cut back when the lawn is mowed, and the weed whacker can't really trim it because they lay flat. That was really nice and relaxing, being out in the sun.

We had a fun dinner with Scott, Cait, and Brendan.

Today, I am planning on steam cleaning the carpets in the LR. The old stains keep reappearing when it gets humid so they look really gross. But I am only doing the LR and I am not moving furniture. I hope to spend the afternoon outside again too.

I have to go feed Floyd-- back for personals soon!

Nancy- are you taking Luther it for a long walk today too? I am sure that Cait will want to go out with W too. The trip to Maine sounds awesome! I hope that you get to see that bird!

Thinking of soccer, I saw that three of the Thai football/soccer players have been rescued!!! Just checked again-- now 6!!!! :cheer2: Hope that they are able to get the kids/coach out quickly and safely.
Jean- some days we have to say to ourselves that just getting out of bed is an accomplishment. (Did I just make all of your heads go :boom: ? )

Rae- there are times when you need to be introspective in order to process. Your brain is on overload and doing small things, like being in the gallery might just what it and you need. Always sending love to you, D, Jen, and B xoxoxo

Felis-BRB! Sorry I had to post this so fast, for anyone who read the original post here. W was whining to outside.

Teleportation would be my superpower if I could be given one. Sounds like your sister had a wonderful time but I bet she is happy to be home too.
yes, my recurring Disney dreams are a sign that I miss things I used to do before we got sick and in debt. Before that, we used to be in one of three stages- planning for a trip to Disney- at Disney-- or planning our next trip. Every extra cent that we had would go into a can that we covered with Micky Stickers and said "Saving for Disney." (I still have it... ) It would take several years to save up again, but there was always a plan in place. It is a symbol of what was and what we wanted, now -- at least at this moment in time-- gone. They are never happy dreams. But who knows what the future will bring?

The possum was so sweet! How are your hedgehogs doing?

better get my day started!
love to all!

Morning ladies... I have been absent from here, but I did manage to get a page scrapped for one of the challenges. Showing off my new dress and shoes, now hopefully I get to wear them at some point on our holiday! We had a nice visit with the grands again and it was so nice to have them here again. Sad to see them leave to go and stay with the other grandparents for a week, but I know that they will have lots of fun with them! Won't see them again until perhaps when I make my trip back to Ontario to drop off Heather and the boys. BTW I am making a trip to Ontario about a week after I get back from Paris and will bring Heather and boys out here for three weeks. :bliss: I will have a full house again and will be very busy with the boys! Hopefully the weather will be great and we can get to the lake/river/ocean and get in lots of beach time! We are trying arrange a get together with Jason and family when we return to Ontario and perhaps do something fun for all of us! After this busy summer I will be ready to :faint: With the time changes and the running around it will be fun but exhausting!

Chris - That would be so cool to see that sweet little possum! Hope that the dreams have subsided! Sorry that you are now feeling cold with your crazy weather! But I guess any drop in temps would feel cool after what you had last week! Glad that you were able to get out in the fresh air and spend some time weeding etc. Too bad that it took so long for you to get things that you needed at the FP! Wish you were going with your relatives on that cruise, I bet Rae would have joined me in meeting up at the Butchart Gardens!! They will love it there it is so beautiful! So wonderful to hear about the boys being rescued, hopefully they can get the rest out safely! Sad to hear this morning though that a little 2 year old boy is missing in Alberta, he wandered away while the family was camping near a river... parents worst nightmare!

Nancy - I bet Luther is enjoying the cooler weather as are you! Nice to be able to have the windows open and let in the cool fresh air! Your trip to see the bird sounds like a great one! Have fun and enjoy your birding!

Rae - My heart is breaking for you also! I totally can relate to you not wanting to chat with anyone right now, but know that we are here when and if you do. Don't dispair my friend, perhaps things will improve once B is in the new place!

Jean - Thanks so much for the lovely comment on my page! Sounds like I will be absent from here for quite awhile after I go to get Heather and the boys. I always miss being here when I am busy doing other things, but it is a good busy and I will have the rest of the year to be here. Glad you were able to work on your report in the comfort of the cool library!

Felis - How nice that you are enjoying having your sister back with you! Travel and vacations to the beach are not for everyone, sounds like you are quite happy to stay where you are! MIL and FIL are very much like that! I however would love to see the world, too bad my DH doesn't feel the same way LOL. Thank you also for the nice comment on my page! I had fun with it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

:washing: and packing are on my list of things to get done today, along with finding a coupon for a discount on parking at the airport. Wish me luck! Not sure if I will get a chance to be here tomorrow morning before we leave. If not then I wish you all a wonderful week and will catch up with you all when we return!

Another beautiful day here. Think I need to enjoy it as it is heating up a bit for tomorrow. I did get a weekly done, but now another week has gone. Hope everyone's weekend has gone well. And, Trudy, we will miss you and be dreaming of you in Paris.
