My little weather icon/app threw me off this morning. It looked like it was supposed to rain all day today. Which in an odd sort of way, I was hoping for that. I figured I could catch up on a lot of housework as well as some scrapping too. But it looks like it won't rain until dinner time. So my dilemma is, do I stick with my indoor plans or do I spend time outside?
I have to set a timer and see if I can do both.
I got home around noon from the MRI, which in itself was uneventful. It always goes faster than what I expect. Isn't that strange? I mean, it is so darn uncomfortable and then trying to not move and it is so loud, you would think it would feel like hours in there. Have any of you felt like that?
We took W over to the lake to swim in the afternoon. That dog is insane!!! She gets herself so wound up and runs in circles and rolls on the ground at warp speed. By the lake, there is a patch of dirt and it was dry and dusty. She was like the Tazmanian Devil- kicking up clouds of dust and having a blast covering herself in dirt. The kids gave her a bath as soon as we got home, and I can't imagine what the water looked like!
I spent a bit of time in the little tiny garden, (3x3 plot) getting the cucumber vines to climb on the trellis. If they don't get eaten by critters, we will have a lot of them. I should find out how to make pickles. Have any of you done that? I don't like pickles but I know the rest of the family does. I also have been harvesting my lavender and I am going to have a really good amount of dried buds for Faery Wings products. I took a clipping from a friend's plant 2 summers ago and it is so happy!
Spoke to my mom and she loved the photo that the kids left for her and already has a place for it to hang. No surprise there. She was disappointed that there was still food in the fridge and that the house was too neat. She thought that meant that the kids didn't have a good time. I had to tell her over and over that no, the kids brought some of the own food and they cleaned the house really well before they left. Scott called her when he got home from work to tell her that himself.
So today- I am still not 100% sure what I am going to do. Take it as is happens I guess.
