cold cold cold!!!!
Its is like 7* and wind chills well below zero. And we might b e getting another blizzard next week. How many days until spring? I have got to get out of NJ!!!!!!!!!
For some reason, I keep thinking that Sally is whispering in my ear to move to TX....;)
(Look on my FB profile to see what I mean LOL)

Not too much going on this weekend. I am going to try to finish up a bit of house work that I didn't get to yesterday. (I don't wanna go in my attic!).
Then i am going too spend as much time as possible under my electric blanket and dream of warm weather, and beaches and drinks with little umbrellas, and Karaoke with Sally, WendyW and Vicki..... and El Diablos!

Tomorrow nights is the jets game- *fingers crossed that they win*
(Political rant warning)

I strongly dislike my NJ governor. I disagree with much of his policies, but his attitude is not very "statesman-like" either. I have been saying for years that NJ should get some "claim" in the Jets and Giants. They play and practice in NJ.
So my dear Gov Christie, after blasting NY Senator Schumer, decides that the wants to claim the Jets. But he does it in such an obnoxious way that he makes me want to disagree with him.

I have no idea why I am sharing that, but it bugs me that on the one thing I agree with him on, his manner of speaking makes me want to turn against it.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
xoxo

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight...dinner with the whole family.........Tomorrow.....a quiet day of scrapping and online for me..............I have not had a quiet day around here in a while!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am very much looking forward to it!!!!!!

Chris.........it's very cold here too!!! It's 19 degrees here...the high is 21 for today...not much of a rise.....Our heating bills are through the roof!!! I am may have to stop buying food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh share away on the rants...political or not............fingers are crossed for you.....but you gotta cross yours for my Packers tomorrow!!!!!!

Just popping in real quickly to say that I hope and pray that it is a Jets - Packers superbowl! If it is, I may have to send you money, Chris, to get some jets tees for whoever in my fam would root for them! I'll keep you posted...off to fold the 20 loads of laundry I've been avoiding for three weeks!

Morning ladies...wow you are all big football fans!! Guess us :canada: love our hockey and you love your football!! Sorry that you are in such a deep freeze, we have been fortunate to have a nice mild winter, it was even colder for a couple of days in florida than it was here, I have a photo with my daughter on her scooter in Disneyworld wearing her Canada Olympic mittens. LOL. Will have to scrap that one I think!!

Chris - do you think I could join you on the beach somewhere??

Nana Linda - glad you finally get a quiet day tomorrow, see you here, hope your birthday supper was great!!

Sally - You are gonna be folding for a long time with 20 loads of :washing: !!Your closets must be almost empty LOL

Hope everyone has a great weekend and you get some time to do some layouts!!

We got up early today, but since it was cold, we crawled back into bed after our showers and slept for another two hours!

And then we discovered we both have a stomach flu.

Oh meg- you have just been having such a rough time with your health. Feel better. Hope that you can get some tea (chamomile or peppermint are good for the tummy) in you.
Hugs!

Trudy- Before I met Gary i was a HUGE hockey fan. I used to be able to sing the Canadian anthem just as good as the US one :D
I should dig up some pics of me wearing my Rangers jersey- one year for Halloween my freinds went as the team, complete with blacked out teeth. ;)
Hockey is by far the most exciting sport to watch.
But I'll watch football on occasion- esp when a local team is in the playoffs. We are having a Superbowl "party" just some freinds and family over- its always good to get a bit rowdy.
Good luck with your splints- that is tomorrow? sending you some more soup and advil and hugs.

Sally- Oh I am sure I can find some t-shirts for you- when I was in Walmart the other day there were tons of stuff already (still?) on the racks

Nana- how was your b-day dinner? Hope you were able to sit back with a nice glass of wine and get pampered a bit for once.

My day here is going to be about cleaning my office space then trying to say warm. Jets are on at 6:30 EST... then school/drs appts for tomorrow.

Have a great one- hope you all stay warm!

its super cold here too in the negatives...last night we had HORRIBLE winter weather....severe blowing snow...and guess who was driving in it ME!! well at least i wasn't the one driving hubby was...but omg a normal 1.5 hour drive took us THREE HOURS!! there was like NO visibility...it was scary LOL we pretty much followed behind a semi truck LMAO using his lights as guides haha....omg i really thought i was gonna die....and for the first 20-30mins on the interstate we were going no like 10-15mph LOL ugh it was nuts!!!! never going to do that again!!!!

as for today...stayin in!! its cold...its my moms birthday today though! i made her a LO and uploaded it for her....

and today we got our fireplace going for the first time!! weee i love having a fireplace!!

brrrr - too cold here- and it is making the house so dry and we are getting shocked on everything we touch!

Morning everyone...BRRRRRR you guys are making me cold, I think we are the only ones in Canada and the U.S. that have half decent temps. Mild here and :rain: today, I will do my best to send warmer weather your way!! Can't send the sun though as we are going to be raining for the next week Ugh!!

Chris - My husband is a big football fan too! We have had a few superbowl parties over the years, he likes to watch the NFL more than the CFL, better level of players! Although we are die hard B.C. Lion fans!! Hope that you get your cleaning done today, I am also going to be on the other end of the vacum cleaner, cat hair everywhere!! Then its off to clean the bathrooms yuk, I hate that job!! Thanks for the advil! I think that I will need it tomorrow. Oh BTW, tried your recipe for Brocolli cheese soup...OMG!! it was delicious!! Thanks so much!!

Meg - I sure hope you feel better soon, you are having such a hard time with your health!! Take care of yourself!!

Kiliki - OMG, what were you doing out on the highway in that horrible weather?? I can't talk, we used to have to drive in conditions like that all the time when we lived in Saskatchewan, sometimes you could not even tell if you were still on the road. Whiteouts are horrible and I hope I never have to drive in one again either!! Stay home and keep warm by your fireplace!!

Nana Linda - hope your birthday supper was wonderful!! Can't wait to hear all about it. Have a super day!!

To everyone else - hope that the rest of the weekend is great for you!

Opps , Laurie I forgot you....:sorry: Hope that the weather gets warmer for you and you stop getting those darn shocks!! Ouch they hurt!!

lol Trudy...if we would have known it was gonna be that bad...we would have stayed home to begin with!! but we had no idea it was even going to snow let alone be windy with whiteout conditions!!
