Gooob mornindh. I think that is how my voice would sound it you could hear me. I have 25 gazillion pounds of cotton stuffed into my sinuses.
I rarely get colds- even though my immune system is shot, it is usually so busy attacking itself that it doesn't bother with outside invaders. :pound:
All three rats came out of the surgery fine. Their poor tiny bellies each have a 1" incision. I cannot even begin to imagine how small their reproductive systems are. But they are doing well. Cordelia was acting like nothing happened and was climbing all around. Titania was more sluggish and looked like she was pretty well drugged. Even in a post-op situation, you can see how different their personalities are. Crazy!

Today, I am going to do my best to breathe and drink tea.

I promise to keep my germs away from all of you, so I will wave :hello: and be on my way.

 Good afternoon all. I've been up for a while now, it's almost 2:30 in the afternoon here. A rainy and grey day.
I've been shoping this morning, bought myself a pair of shoes for the first time in two years. And they are soooo beautiful, I'm happy

After lunch I went for a walk with my husband. He is a bit overweight and I'm not in shape anymore after my surgery in December, so we decided to go for a walk every day. We started with half an hour, and want to expend that to a full hour each day.
For now though, half an hour is enough for me.

The rest of the day I will take it slow. The only thing I really have to do is keep an eye on my son. He's 16, but he still doesn't know what a clean and tidy room looks like :mad2:, and I do want his room to be just that by the end of the day!

Chris - I hope you will feel better soon!

Been up for awhile trying to get caught up on some scrapping. Need to get the laundry sorted but scrapping is so much more fun! :bliss:

Chris, so sorry you caught a cold. Not surprised with everything that has been going on in your life.

The flu is rampant here so I am trying to avoid crowds. Today is the monthly book sale at the library but think I will skip it as it is always so crowded. It is not like I don't have any books to read.... LOL.... I do have to go to the grocery store as I am out of milk and fresh veggies. There is another snow storm heading our way tomorrow so need to get it done before it arrives.

I did get to the cable company and swapped out the box. Got it hooked up but took a bit to get it to work. Had to hook up the cable line a couple times to get a good connection. Then it was a matter of programming the new remote. Was surprised at how clear the TV images are with the new box. I may swap out the box in the bedroom as that box is as old as the one that was in the office... would love to have a really sharp image on it. Maybe next month.

Jeannette, good for you and your hubby to start walking. That should help both of you. Wish I could walk... but the back yells at me if I walk very far. Need to get back on the sitting Exercycle again. Had to LOL over complaints that your teenage boy won't keep his room 'clean'... that is what every parent says that about teenagers. Good luck on that.

Time to get the desk in my bedroom cleaned off and some boxes moved elsewhere. DD#1 and hubby need to get the desk moved this weekend while they still have the pickup truck. They are giving the truck to his niece next week. Seems like I have been moving, reshuffling, and trying to find new places for a lot of stuff lately. Don't want to wait until they get here to pick it up before I get things shuffled out of the way.

Morning ladies... I can't believe that I slept until 8:30!! DH had to come into the bedroom to make sure I was still alive LOL. Feeling so much better today thank goodness! However I am still going through lots and lots of Kleenex! Guess my body is riding itself of all that yuck!! :sorry: TMI??

Chris - I am so sorry that you are now getting the cold from hell!! I sure hope it doesn't affect you the same way it did me! Sending you lots of chicken soup and tea!! Take care of yourself sweetie!! Glad to hear that the rats came through their surgery and all are well! Bet Cait is happy too!

Jeannette - How fun to get a new pair of shoes!! I am not a shoe shopper and haven't bought myself any new shoes for a while. My last pair was a nice dress shoe that I bought to wear when we went to Paris. I ended up never wearing them because I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle  I will probably never ever wear them now. Great that you and your DH are going to start walking more! Smart to ease into it slowly! Good luck with getting your son to clean up his room! I don't miss those days LOL! However it turns out that both of my kids are great housekeepers now!

Kay - Yes Scrapping is so much more fun than housework for sure!! Sad to hear that the flu is hitting your area hard! Good thing to stay away from the masses!! Four 2 year olds have died in Saskatchewan from the flu. So tragic because all them were never given the flu shot, it could have been prevented!! If you go to the grocery store make sure you take a sanitizing wipe with you to wipe off the cart handle, you would not believe the germs on those things!! Our grocery store provides them, perhaps yours does too? Nice to have the newer cable box and sharper picture for your tv! Hope you can get the other one swapped out too! Good luck with your finding new places for your stuff, it is good to purge and change things around!

:hello: to everyone else who pops in today. I think DH and I will be making a run to Costco and I need to touch base with my SIL and find out when we can get in a visit with her Aussie family. Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Sunday, my friends! To say I am feeling a smidge better is probably an understatement but one I am willing to say. I am thinking that I might have the flu not a cold. Everything hurts-- even my skin. Yesterday, I was shivering so hard, I couldn't stand up straight. The painful skin *is* less today, so is the headache so I am going with the thought that I am over the worst of it. I don't get flu shots b/c of my wonky immune system but I wish I could.
Gary thinks he is catching it now. I really hope that Caitlyn doesn't or if she does, she gets it soon so she is better when classes resume next week.

I am going to try to take it easy again today. Maybe work on some coupons/shopping list prep. I have been scrapping a LO for a challenge the last several days but the glare from my computer was bothering my eyes so I gave up. If that is better today, I would like to finish and upload it.

We got a text and some photos from Scott yesterday. The redwoods nat'l park was closed because of the shutdown but they found a state park and the pics of the trees were gorgeous. I am glad that he got his friends in them too for size perspective.

I am off to blow my nose a few hundred more times. Love to all!

Quick personals from yesterday-

Jeanette- yay for a new pair of shoes! Good luck with the walking with DH. When the weather is better, I am going to get back to do that with Whisky. Hope that your DS got his room cleaned up properly and not just by shoving things under his bed like my son would do LOL

Kay- Oh no-- more snow? You seem to get it all of the time. Good for you on getting the cable box swapped out and hooked up. Good luck getting everything moved to where it needs to be.

Trudy- 8.30! wow, that is one awesome night's sleep. Your body must really need to catch up on that. haha that DH checked to make sure that you were alive!
That is heartbreaking about the 2 yo's who died from the flu :(

Hugs to all of you!

Morning, gals. Woke up early again... << sigh >> Been sneezing my head off. Hope it doesn't mean I am coming down with a cold. Chris, I really hope that you don't have the flu and that you get better soon. Ugh... that G and C might be getting it, too.

I did manage to get to the grocery store yesterday... along with lots of other people! All the registers were open and lines were long - as bad as right before a holiday. I didn't get a lot of fruit or veggies as prices were too high there. Need to go to the veggie market as I saw the sale ads and it has much better prices.

Yes, Trudy... our grocery store has the sanitary wipes so I gave the cart handle a good wipe down. Afraid I got exposed as lots of people were sneezing and coughing.

Not sure what I did but my left foot has a red spot and a sore bone near my small toe. Been hurting since I did my errands. Must have stepped wrong somehow. It may be a challenge to find a pair of shoes I can stand to have on it. Got up to no snow... yet. Was suppose to start around 3-4 AM. Saw a few flakes drifting down so guess the time was off. Don't think I am going to try to go to church today... between the sneezing/coughing and snow, I would be better off staying home. No need to expose anyone to my germs.

good late morning - I woke up to see a dusting of snow but now the sun is out. Yesterday was up late as my son and I did some binge watching of season 3 Outlander. He is watching season 4 too but has questions so he is trying to catch up. Only 3 episodes left this season. I need her to finish her new book. My son and I like watching the notes after the episode to see why they did what they did in the filming. He saw the author of the books for the first time. I told him she and Donald Moore also made cameos in the first season so we went back and found them. It is so fun to binge with some one. Up late last night watching today's episode at midnight. But then I slept until 8:30 so that was good. My Devils defeated the Flyers 3-2. My rookie goalie Blackwood was terrific and my #1 pick Nico Hischier scored on a nice breakaway. It was fun game. I like going in daylight and coming out in daylight. My DH and DIL went as my son had to work. Today I am going with my hockey friends to autograph signing with Nico Hischier. Other than that not much planned.

Chris so sorry you are not feeling well. My sister too is getting over the flu and she even had the flu shot. Glad the rats came through so well. I love how different their personalities are. Hope your Gary does not get sick!

Jeannette I think it is awesome that you are out walking. A half an hour is great to start and I sure as the days get longer and warmer it will be enjoyable to increase the walking time. And I found it a losing battle with my sons to keep their rooms clean. Good luck.

Kay please feel better. Maybe the dry air is making you sneeze or moving everything around it mixing up the all those air borne allergens. I am sure all those at church that are grateful that you chose to protect them. Hope the snow does not fall too hard!

Trudy off to Costco makes me smile. I think the store probably missed you last week LOL. Hope you get to see the Aussies soon!

Waving to all! Have a great day!

It is a super lazy Sunday= it is already close to 2pm here in Florida. Sadly my weekend will soon end. I had intentions of clearing out old clothes this weekend. Procrastination is my middle name lately.
I think I will do some scrap therapy

Good morning my dears,
it's a Monday already here, but expect me not so busy one, so I decided my first stop to be here. I finally accepted Nancy's advice and after nothing other didn't worked for me I'll scrap only Designers challenges and my own pages.
I can't believe tomorrow it's the middle of the month. I had a lack of inspiration and I'm not take even one photo yeth. Of nothing. My days was so boring and monotonous :work, cleaning and TV. It's so cold that even cats aren't playful and prefer to lie down as much as possible close to the fireplace.
It's so cold, but at least we have snow. Big thanks to Heather, she really send me after Trudy promised me  !
My mom was fired. On a New Years Eve, because she was too tired and made one really stupid , but actually small mistake. In every other days this wouldn't be something big, but because of the holiday her boss start yelling her and was humiliated her, was drive in tears her and her co-worker, so we not allowed her to go back there. She have savings to can live without deprivation, but thrifty till the spring. But what she actually worries are these points that have to collect for retirement. Sistem here is really pity. So maybe you remember that this summer she quit her 2 part time jobs for this full time for less money but with retirement points. She is confused and discouraged, but we try to lift her spirit.

Chris, sorry to hear that now you are get this awful flu, looks like most of us chased it! Hope you have lemons and honey for your tea! :tea: Get well soon! Nice that rats are feels so good.

Jeanette, great for the new shoes. Hope they are comfortable! What kind of shoes they are? I really need to wear more heels this year, because I'm become to go to slowly and silly on them. Hope you have a nice walk with your husband! Is that a dog walk?! Do you have dog? They really helps to not skip daily walks.

Kay, the new TV box sounds good! Hope you have luck on the veggie market! It's sounds a little silly but I learned on a hard way that if you put uncomfortable socks (I mean with internal edges or inside threads after laundry) this also can do red spot or even small wound on your fingers. Just guessing.

Trudy, Santa board is so WONDERFUL! I know you are super talented, but really love this! Lovely details, especially on the cheeks and beard. Great to hear that you are feeling better too! How was the visit with your nephew?

Nancy, OMG girl, that's awesome another autograph signing is just awesome! Have a fun! Yup it's always better to watch with company, so to can comment your impression and to shared interpretation and guessings.

Lorraine, don't worry procrastination is a stage of Winter  .

Have a lovely week you all! Hugs and kisses! :cof3:
