Daily Ooo's: January 12-13: Weekend Edition

Oh wow! I feel good this morning! Slept like a rock!!! Til 8 am!!!! I was so exhausted last night. We were watching some TV at 6.30pm and I swear, it felt like it should have been midnight. I have to finish up my mom's dvd as soon as I am done here, then a card. I asked my kids before school yesterday to make some too, but I am guessing that they forgot. In fact, I'd put money on that. Not much else going on here. quiet morning, coffee and Oscraps! I want to get some more housework done here too so I can claim tomorrow for myself. I haven't scrapped at all and I wish I had the time and energy and inspiration to do so. Sounds like a good plan for sure! What fun stuff do you all have going on this weekend?

urg- no formatting here. I read that there was some huge javascript security breach and I turned off the scripts. But it looks like it is going to be a pain in the butt if I have no formatting ability. Who knew java had so much influence? ound:

Good am - Chris I heard there was a java security problem but did not know it effected Oscraps. We are all so busy so who has the time or want to cause such havoc. If they are this good at hacking I wish they put their smarts to helping. A very quiet weekend for me. Going to be watching NFL playoffs. Yesterday I finished up the printing of my Project365 2012 and my Dec Daily and they are all in the album. Printed out other scrap pages also but not have to get another album and more page protectors but at least I feel good that that is off my to do list. I feel liberated to scrap! Note Chris you see here nothing about cleaning. I keep thinking the cleaning fairy will do it all.

Hey "O" family, I am today!! Fever, sore throat and I sound like a seal when I cough!!! Not my idea of a great way to spend Saturday!!! Still have to go grocery shopping, get a new hummingbird feeder, new shoes for work and then home to rest and get better!! Not fair that I have to spend my days off feeling this way!! Hope everyone has a better day planned than I do! If I am feeling up to it I might actually get a page scrapped today, we will see! :wave:

I am here for a quick minute while I have a cup of :tea: before I head out for the day. I have my fingers crossed for this java deal becasue I don't think any websites work at all wihen it is disabled, so I turned it back on.
Hopefully its not a big deal and it more hype than anything.

Oh Trudy, feel better! I hope its not the flu. I keep hearing that the 47 of the 50 States are at epidemic levels. Take care and rest and rest!!!

nancy- good for you for getting so much done on your book! And now you have to get it all done before hockey starts!!!

my DD came for lasagna tonight. it was nice to see her, and it was "sort of" normal. i didn't do much today but clean house and make lasagna. what a thrill. hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more exciting. probably not. and, wow. is my MUSE on vacation!

I scrapped a few pages this morning to finish up my 2012 album. Got it ordered and ordered my 365 book this week too. Now I can have fun scrapping on different stuff.

Went grocery shopping late this afternoon and then took a trip to the city. Bought my son his service weapon-well had to order it. Bought my husband a gun too. Me-I get the hand me down 380. Stopped at the store and bought me a brand spanking new full frame camera! Really not good enough at photography to warrant such a nice camera but I got a bonus from my bosses and decided to do something extra special nice for myself. Now to read the manual and learn how to use it. I'm also going to attend one of the NIkon schools later this year-- should learn how to use it then! One of my goals for this year is to really commit some time to photography.

We stopped for dinner and then headed home. Didn't get back until 9PM. Watching football now. I'm right there with you Nancy-watching football this weekend. Also have a couple of good basketball games and there is a good golf tournament to watch. In fact, my son in law is at the golf tournament-lucky dog.

Trudy-hope you aren't getting the flu.

Laurie-I had a bad night last night too. Taking two Tylenol PM tonight.

Chris-have fun tomorrow. Make it your day.

Phyllis- since the house is clean, do something fun tomorrow.

Morning O fam- it is over 60 degrees and very windy here- front will be coming through before tomorrow no doubt. I did enjoy the hot tub yesterday in the afternoon, but will be waiting for less windy times with warm temps before I do it again. Today is cooking day I am going to make home made french onion soup, chicken wings and perhaps turn the left over meatloaf into chili. Other projects for today, hang the cabinets in my craft room, fill the holes for handles so I only have one as I bought cute ceramic knobs at hobby lobby on Friday and put Christmas away- it is time!

I got to sleep in again today! 8am!!!!! Dang!!! But 5 am is going to come way too fast tomorrow morning. But I will def. take whatever decent sleep I can get!!!

We had a nice time at my mom's. But can I just say that woman is a lunatic? It was her b-day and she cooked all day. And nothing was a favorite of hers, it was all about feeding her family. *smh* It was delecious though. :hungry:
The drive home was a bit crazy too. The weather has been so warm and there is still snow on the ground especially where I drive over the mountain. I could barely see a few feet ahead. And the kids and I were having a very intense conversation about drugs and alcohol. The school had a presentation the other day about a boy who at 16 did heroin and is now paralyzed and brain injured after aspirating vomit. I swear I will never ever understand the idea of drugs like that. He and his mom and her brother- they are now early 20's- visit schools to talk about how bad decisions can affect the rest of your life as well as the ones who love you. Apparently very powerful stuff, and I am grateful that it gives me more avenues to discuss this with my kids. But cripes-- it was a long and intense hour or so on the roads.

I guess if I am going to take today for scrapping I should get myself together too. Scott has a bunch of friends coming over later on too. Its so nice to see that his GF who is not from our town gets along really good with his friends who live here too.

Good morning - Hockey is really back. All the legal documents have been signed and the schedule is out. I am a happy happy person! Just finished watching the movie "Big Year" which is a Steve Martin - Jack Black movie about birding watching. It is so funny yet smart and its about birds. I totally recommend it.

Phylis yes I am a total sports person except for basketball. I guess with all the reality shows that I hate on TV I would rather just watch sports.

hmmm.:mmph: yet another night with a "halftime." honestly, the way i sleep (or DON'T sleep), it's amazing that i'm not totally off my rocker. as it is, i'm only just a BIT off my rocker.

weird weather. i know what you mean agout the fog, Chris. we had ten inches of snow on the ground and 60 degrees, which makes for a lot of melting and FOG. today it's 65 degrees at 8 a.m., but then we're taking a tumble into the 30s. that will probably bring that wind you were talking about to us, Laurie.

Nancy, you should do what i do re:tv. watch only the stuff you WANT to watch online. then i BUY the rest on iTunes. just finished Season 2 of The Hour and bought Season 3 of Downton Abbey on iTunes. the reality show and singing crap can just do is thing on tv. i haven't turned on the tv in probably a year.

Terry, congrats on your new Fantastic Foto Machine! you'll have to explain exactly what it is to me, once you have it all figured out!

gonna drive into the city today for no real reason. i'll drop by my daughter's apartment for a few minutes, then probable drive through Burger King for a bunless burger. my big Day Out! i already ironed 6 dress shirts and about 10 pairs of my slacks, so i'm DONE with WORK!

Morning again, we went to church, I cooked breakfast- MMG cooked for us yesterday- that is why I love weekends- cooking time! Now I am in the basement, getting ready to cut vinyl and make an old glass jar into a blessing jar- If I don't totally mess it up, I will share with you all later! Oh and now that in church I learned that the Christmas season is truly over, I will take down my trees and decorations and pack them away. I kind of like enjoying them when I don't fill every nook and cranny for a while longer than right after Christmas.

I AM OFFICIALLY A SOCCER MOM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
Started my day with Jaiden at ballet at 9 then off to Walmart to grab a ckuple of things then run home to ezt lunch and grab Jesse and head across town for his basketball game.....stop by MCDONALDS for milkshakes and the kids noticed wd sdre close theif uncle Lairy's house and asked if we could stop (he is the only one in their dad's family thag has any morals...and the kids justnlove him).....so we stopped for aboug an hour....headed home for me to clean then cook dinner...I guess I felt pretty productive :rofl:

I am being very lazy this morning....off to Cameran's soccer game this afternoon

Nana- typing on the IPad is a hoot! I am usually ont het IPad when I'm reading the forum. Need to always double check what I typed. Sometimes I just don't give a darn and just post.

Went to church-early service. Found out that I am on the schedule to count money so I have to go back at noon. Not a big deal since I didn't have plans today. Although, I think they made a booboo and it was supposed to be the other Terri since I counted last week.

My hubby had a terrible night. His back went out- can't move today. It is awful. He is such a wimp. He needs to get in and see his chiro tomorrow.

I'm going to come home and start reading the manual for my new camera. Just want to get the basics read so I can shoot something.

Phyllis-I'm beginning to have nights like you. What is with waking up at 2AM wide awake?

It's cold here. It was 80 yesterday and about 45 today. Put a pot of soup on for dinner.

Morning my "O" friends!! Still hacking and coughing, but no don't think its the flu. Not feeling horrible flu like, just a really bad mucous cough yuk!!! I slept til almost 9am this morning and now I am a coughing fool!! Woke up a few time to my lungs rattling as I breathed so sure hope its not going to turn into pneumonia ! Thanks for all of your well wishes!! I love my "O" family! Going to try to do some scrapping today, we were supposed to go to the In-Laws, but there is no way I am going to risk getting them sick! Back to my part time hours this week, hooray!! Work only three days and one of them is a short 4hr shift, so I am happy with that!!

Chris- glad that you got sleep in today too!! Your mom sounds like she is a fabulous cook!!

Nancy - You and my hubby are both so happy about hockey being back on!! Although some are still so mad that they refuse to watch, that won't last for long I'm sure!! LOL.

Phylis - We had lasagna last nite too!! So yummy! One of my favorite comfort foods! Did I ever tell you that I hate to eat fish, especially salmon!! I think it's smelly, so my hubby does not get to eat it very often, but once in a while we go out to the Rock Cod Cafe in Cowichan Bay and he always orders the fish and chips. Well I love shellfish, but not fish, fish so I got the Shrimp linguini, very good. I asked MG for a bite of his halibut and I really liked it!! who knew??? Do you think that our tastes change as we get older? I have tried halibut before and never like it, but this was delicious and next time we go there I am ordering the Halibut!!! Just thought I would share that silly story with you.

Laurie - Have fun with your craft project today! Hope it turns out the way you want!

Nana - When I read your first post I thought you really did hit your head good the other day and you were typing words that looked right to you, but were coming out wrong, thought maybe you had a real bad brain injury!! LOL
