Happy Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I just LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to sleep in. It always amazes me how much my body really needs that extra sleep. And it always amazes me how I can sleep for 12 hours and still be tired. ;)

Yay :tea:

Andrea asked How is it you ladies are so good with the Daily O's when it comes to the personals?
I just need to say again that doing personals is not a requirement to post in here. Everyone here loves seeing your faces even if it is just to post a wave hello. ALL of you are welcome!!!
But the thread has some tips for you -- mostly that if you want to do personals, two tabs open are the way to go.

so, who has fun plans this weekend? I am finishing up some cleaning/filing.The kids' SO's are coming over for a while today. Other than that, scrapping, I hope!!!

Hope that all of you have a wonderful day!!

Ooops!!!! sorry Laurie for making your date-confused. You know that it is one thing I am really good at, messing up days and dates!! LOL
You are really getting organized. Sorry that it had to come by the way of flooding but the end result is going to be superb.

Nancy- That must look cool to see the river frozen. Did you see the photo of the road in Toms River?? Egg Harbor?? I can't remember what town, but down the shore where the road had flooded then froze? Craziness!
But yes, warmer the next few days up here as well. Thank goodness.
Both kids came home sick yesterday. Gary picked them up since I was at work. But Scott signed in at the nurse's office at 11.02. Cait at 11.03, so the timing was good at least. Both are much better today. whew!
*jealous of your sis in AZ*

Oh Trudy-- don't listen to your scale, you are *not* a number!!
(says the lady with an eating disorder that is older than many of you here  )
But it is true, the number is not important, it is your health and how you feel. Everyone puts on weight after the holidays, I know I did. A lot. But now that all of the cookies are out of my house, and I have more time to walk/move, it will come back off (hopefully!!) And it will for you too.
When is your vaca?
The weather thankfully cooperated with my job. It was fine when I was going there, snowed like crazy while I was there and stopped before I was done.
Hope you get your mojo back. I am having trouble and it is so frustrating.

Ack!! Phyllis, that would make me dizzy and nauseous to see that. I hope that your rosacea gets better soon. You really do need a vaca somewhere warm. Hugs!!

xoxoxo to all of you!

I know I am not a number! I am not losing weight, I am averaging 3 workouts per week, but that is more than any week in December. So I am making forward progress. We have no dance lessons so that means I have lots of time to work on getting my stuff pared and organized. CAN YOU Tell have a lot of stuff!! I am going to post some pics tomorrow night- before and in process. Maybe I will start an album on facebook? Okay- back to work!!

Lemme see....This weekend I am going to use the treadmill for the first time since before Christmas, DD and I are going to give away the snickerdoodles that she made last night to the convalescent center...before we eat them all.

Happy Weekend!

good morning - I slept until 9:30 this morning. While I guess I needed the sleep I now feel like I have lost my whole morning. Yesterday was crazy weather as the warm front was coming in and pushing the cold away. It meant in my town we had snow, sleet and freezing rain. The sidewalks were covered is slush and ice and it was so slippery but my girlfriend and I walked anyway. I wore boots so it was not too bad. I had to take off my glasses as they got so spotted LOL. Now this morning when I got up the temp is up to 54 degrees. As I said crazy. My poor DH slipped on the ice as he was walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. Only a jammed finger so that is good no cuts this time. He said he saw several fall. Well for the next few days it will be above average in temps. I have a hockey game tonight so that will be fun. Not much else on my agenda. Just scrapping. I love to listen to music and my DH not so much. I really have always hated head phones or ear buds as then I cannot hear what is going on around me. I feel like I am always clogged up. Well I found a new brand called after shockz. Any way they work by transferring the sound by resting on the bone near the ear. I love them. I can be listening and still hear birds singing. Really cool.

Chris so sorry the kids had to go home sick. Glad they are better today. We can enjoy this January thaw!

Laurie congrats on your workouts! Though I am sure the purging you are doing counts as workouts too!

Phylis thanks for sharing what you see with eyes. Hope the "sunburn" goes away soon. I don't know who said these are "golden years".

Trudy I agree with all the other ladies who say that we are way more than that number. I look at all the stars and models and when I listen to what they have to go through to be in the spot light then I am glad it is not me. No diet (but just eat well), no face lifts or botox as I am proud of my age. You are probably hardest on yourself! You will have a great time and you will be warm! I cannot spend the winter with my sister I would have to give up watching my Devils though I guess I could watch the Coyotes LOL.

Have a great day all!

Morning, almost afternoon! It must be the weather or something but now that's three of us who got to sleep in today :cheer2: I slept until 9am, unheard of for me!! Hubby came in and woke me trying to get my iPhone figured out, because DD was face timing us LOL. Nothing exciting happening today, no errands to run or anything and it windy and :rain: today. A good day to stay home and do some reading and some scrapping!!

Chris - Glad that you made it to and from you job on the mountain in one piece!! Don't worry I am over the initial shock of stepping on the scale and now I just have to start eating better and chuck the rest of the chocolates into the garbage!!! I went for a very long walk yesterday and started a 30 day little black dress challenge and a 30 day arm challenge. I know that I won't stick to it too long, but its better than doing nothing right?

Laurie - Yes please we would love to see pics of all the purging that you are doing, and I know how much stuff can accumulate!! I packed around unopened boxes from house to house, move to move for over 25 years. I finally got rid of it all when we moved to a smaller house in Regina. It felt liberating to get rid of all that stuff!!

Sandy - I try to use my treadmill when the weather is crappy, but it is very old and now it starts to really get warm on feet after about 20 mins. :noidea: what that is all about??

Nancy - Glad you got to sleep in too!! But yes now it feels like we slept the better part of the day away!! Be careful on that ice we don't want you to fall and break something now!! Thanks for the encouragement about the weight gain, and yes you are right I have earned the wrinkles and would never do Botox or plastic surgery. LOL on not watching your Devils, I can't imagine you ever doing that!!!

Ok off to the shower and then a bit of house work and the rest of the day is just doing whatever!! Enjoy Saturday everyone !!

Good afternoon my friends! How are all of you? I do so miss you...each and every one of you.

December was a blur here...and I don't know that January is slowing down much!

Started the morning on the road to a town about 45 minutes from here. Sydney had a basketball tournament. She's on the 9th day of antibiotics (she had pneumonia over Christmas vacation) and they make her sick to her stomach. You guessed it...30 minutes into the drive she vomited. So now we are home and having a slow day.

That's ok...giving me a chance to check in here.

Phylis - don't worry I would never give up a vacation just because I have gained a bit of weight! I have to find a bathing suit because I love to swim, grew up on a lake and that was all we did all summer long, so swimming in the ocean is a must for me and MG!! And yes I did have lots of fun putting on those extra pounds!! :heh: Now its time to get serious and take off at least a few pounds before we go away :whip: which BTW is still determined :mmph:

Nancy, enjoy the hockey game tonight. We have a minor league hockey team in town and Shaun's choir is singing the National Anthem on February 7. I haven't been to hockey in probably 25 years so I'm looking forward to it. The kids have never seen a game and I think that they will enjoy it.

Chris so sorry to hear that the kids were sick yesterday. Hope it was 24 hours. Syd was sick the week before Thanksgiving and one of us has been sick ever since. I am counting on this stupid junk being behind us now!

Feeling at hOme!
Hi ladies, just a quick 'hello' as my wekk-end is flying too quickly!

This morning, I had a 2 hours training (rewriting course) and then had lunch with some friends. We ate very late, took a coffee and discussed a lot... and I left at 6.00 pm! Then just stopped by a craft store to get a canvas.

Tomorrow I will be off for the whole day to follow a craft course (10.00 am to 5.00 pm), that's why I needed a canvas! Don't know exactly what we're going to do/craft, but I am sure I will have a great time. And then I have a dinner with some other friends.

I will try to take some pictures tomorrow, you'll probably see them in my next Project life ;)

Have a nice week-end everyone :)

good evening! Sorry I missed yesterday... it was a rough day to say the least... met with an attorney... gotta say I don't really like his personality much... he is gruff to the point of rudeness... he does agree I seem to be getting a raw deal, a point in his favor... plus he seems harsh and rude enough to get the job done, again another point in his favor...

Did the grocery shopping before the kids got back from their dad's... we've been hanging at the house for the rest of the day. We watched Disney's Starstruck and now they're watching 101 Dalmations... love when they're being quiet and getting along... they seem to be in that bickering stage, so the quiet is welcome!

I gotta get back on my diet starting tomorrow... too much stress and just lack of motivation have backtracked me a little and I feel it... since it's too cold to walk or run right now, guess I'll have to pull out some workout DVDs or something to get back into the swing of things.

hello to everyone! I'm off to try to get some scrappin' challenges done, since I'm WAY behind!

good morning, my deariOs :D

I think I used up all of my good sleep Friday night because I did not sleep well last night. I guess in a way, that is good because I have a lot I want/need to get done today. Like Nancy said, the bad thing about sleeping late is the feeling of losing half of your day.
I am also hoping to get a good walk in with my friend. It will be so nice to see the sun.

Cait dyed her hair back brown last night and while she looks amazing, it is going to take getting used to. Its been over 3 years since she had brown hair and I really loved the purple on her. But she looks gorgeous no matter what.

Off to post this, more coffee and be back for personals. hugs!

Hi Laurie! Love hearing that you are still getting those work outs in, you are inspiring! I would love to see all of your pics of the declutter- that might get me inspired too. I really need to work on that in my house. Eventually. ;)

Sandy- woot for getting on the treadmill. Mine tends to be a place to throw clothes on.... but every once in a while, I do use it a bit. Good for you and your DD!

Nancy- oh no, that weather must have been crazy to talk on the bridge for your DH. Glad it was only a jammed finger.
Your ear buds sound really cool! Where did you get them? I need new ear buds but I usually get whatever is cheap at Walmart.

Poor Scott is still sick. But at least his appetite is starting to come back.

Trudy- good for you for getting started on some goals as well. Any movement over no movement is good. Unless you are counting "chewing." hahaha!!

Linda, poor Syd!!! I am sure you know all this, but lots of food with abx, even if the label says on an empty stomach. And probiotocs too. Hope that she feels better.
Sooo happy you are going back to Maui! And my fingers are crossed that you have an easier trip home this time.

Sabine, have fun crafting!

Phyllis- ooooh!! Congrats to your family!!!! Have a wonderful time getting newborn baby snuggles!!!!!

Sandra- what a nightmare you have been going through, I hope that this guy, in spite of being rude, can help you. Enjoy today too!

good morning! I'm up way too early considering I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. finishing the copycat and prompt challenges... I haven't scrapped in so long so it took a while... and boy is my back feeling it!

today is busy... gotta clean on the house and get some laundry done... Sundays are always busy and the weekends never last long enough...

Chris - it has been a nightmare... and it seems as if its neverending... I'm trying to hang in there though.

Morning - slept in and missed early church- awoke to hubby's phone going off. I am in prayer mode today- my old babysitter's daughter is having problems again. They live in central NY- here is what she posted on fb yesterday " We are back at upstate for more testing. Reilly had been very unsteady on her feet and light headed the last few days." Then this "Headed home for a quick nap, then Shipping up to Boston. Hopefully some answers there. What a strong brave little girl I have!" So if you are the praying type, or just want to send positive vibes- please do. This is the little girl that lost vision in her left eye just before Christmas, it came back, but she had abnormal MRI's of her brain.
On the home front- have casters for the current cabinets!! Perhaps might get some put on today. Have to try on our wedding clothes to make sure we do not have to go buy new ones!!

Morning ladies and happy Sunday to you all!! Still very dark here this morning, oh how I long for the days when I get up to the sun shining brightly!!

Chris - Poor Scott, hope he feels better by the end of the day! I too did not sleep very well last night, I guess we did use it all up the night before :becky: I think I woke up every time the heat pump came on :mmph: It came on a lot last night!!! Oh well its a lazy day today with not much to do so perhaps a nap will be in order. :rain in the forecast again for today. So much rain yesterday that there was a bit of flooding around the area.

Phylis - I hope that you are getting in lots and lots of sweet smelling baby cuddles!! I love them when they are so little, so helpless and sleepy!! I bet she is a real little sweetheart!! What did they name her?

Laurie - Sending all kinds of positive vibes to you and your friend! It must be such a worry for them and you! Hope that they find out what is going on with her! Good luck with getting your casters on and that your wedding clothes are still a good fit! But its always nice to get something new!!

Sandra - WTG on scrapping so much! Send some of your mojo my way please! It really is great therapy sometimes isn't it!!

Well now that we have had so much rain over the past few days the ski hills are open and running finally! Guess I should tell DS to get back here so he can get the kids on the hill again. Ya I wish!! Oh and hubby is having second thoughts on the vacation, says there are no really good deals out there so he might buy a new big screen tv instead
gaah-smiley.gif
I knew this would happen!!! But its his 60th birthday so he gets to have what he wants right? Oh well still no real solid plans yet so I will keep my fingers crossed that he sees something out there for a good price! Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

good morning - well late morning - My hockey team did me proud last night. On the weekend mass transit schedule my train to come home is 9:38 or 10:38 so of course my team was tied at 1-1 at the end of the game which was around 9:37 LOL. So in some sense that is good because no I don't have to worry at all about trying to catch the early train. So it is down to a little over 3 seconds left in the OT and Marek Zidlicky take a shot and scores and my team wins. Awesome. The weather was rainy all day. But my DH and I decided to walk anyway as there was a lull. Of course as soon as we were the farthest from home the rain really started coming down. But the temp was in the high 50s so it was not cold at all. We got in a really good walk. Today is warm and there is supposed to be sun but so far I have not seen any. My DH is also doing his good deeds for the day he got out the tree and is now cleaning up the needles.

Chris sorry Scott is not feeling so well. Hope today he gets his appetite back. Cait must look so different. I love that hair can be changed such an easy and reversible way to be yourself.

Phylis congrats on seeing that new baby. They are teeny tiny.

Laurie glad you got your casters. I am sure that they will be so helpful!

Linda so sorry that Syd got so sick. I am sure they will have a great time at the minor hockey game. The rinks are often smaller and so you are closer to the action.

Sandy congrats on your renewed scrapping. Glad the kids gave you some quiet time. Bickering is never fun!

Trudy saw the weather from the Seattle Seahawks game and was thinking of you. Saw the Bruins defeat the Sharks. Playing those 3 CA teams is a hard road trip.

Have a great day all!

Just stopping in to say hello! I've been planning on starting to post here for a while and hope I can keep up with all you chatty ladies!

DH has been away on a back country ski trip this weekend so I've been enjoying some me time, caught up on a couple of scrapbook classes, played with my new Cameo and actually made a paper page and a birthday card for dh! Today I hope to do some digi shopping for cut files and digi goodness.
The best thing this weekend though, was a phone call from the SPCA to say they had a new foster kitty for me to pick up, so I hot footed it over there. She's a sweet little thing, very affectionate, about 2 who's recently had kittens, been fixed and now has cat cold! I get to keep her for two weeks - yay!

Vicki - nice to see you pop in here!!

Nancy - WTG Devils an exciting game for you for sure!! Hubby did not get to watch his Bruins but was keeping track on my iPhone app. Don't worry I won't let him get away with getting my hopes up, he will find something I am sure, but even if its a get away here on the Island that's ok too! It's not like we have really had any winter to speak of here.

Jane - How nice that you are a foster mommy to the precious kitty's ! I don't think that I would be able to give them back though, my heart melts when it comes to cats especially cuddly ones! Nice to see you here and hope that you can stick around and chat it up with us!

I love my husband- he has worked hard this afternoon to put the casters on my cabinets and is now attaching the 10' countertop to two of the cabinets. It is a little taller than a kitchen cabinet, but I like to work standing up, and have adjustable height bar stools. Now, ummm there is no reason not to get my stuff together.

Reilly update. She has been moved from Syracuse, NY to Boston, MA, hoping the doctors there can give the family answers. Okay, back to stocking my shelves! I am so ready for this adventure.
