We made it! It's Friday!
This week has been boring, the same old dull routine. feeling kinda blah and monotonous. Until about noon yesterday. I had gotten home from cleaning for my friend when Cait asked if I would go with her to the derm appt. She was itchy and was concerned that she would be distracted driving an hour to the place. I had planned on making our Pretzel Spider in the afternoon so I had to calculate if I could get the dough started in the machine and finish up when we got home so it would be ready to eat around dinner time.
I had about 45 minutes to shower, grab lunch, call my mom, and get the bread machine set up before we had to leave.
Thank goodness I went with her. Caitlyn doesn't like to drive on highways (not super convenient living in North Jersey) so she had her GPS set to "no highways." We are halfway there when GPS tells her to take the left lane and dumps her onto Rt 17, a notoriously awful highway. I don't like driving on Rt 17. Aggressive NJ drivers, lots of merging, no one uses their signals (unless you count middle fingers as signals), chaos. If you think of a stereotypical NJ highway, Rt 17 is it.
The poor kid saw where she was and took the first exit she could, which was into a Land Rover/Jaguar dealership. Yes, we looked totally out of place! hahaha! She looked at me and all I said was yes, I will take over. We get to the office and of course, she had no active hive. Of course.
She had some leftover swelling from ones active in the morning but nothing he could biopsy. pfft
As soon as we got home, I got the pretzel dough from the machine, made it into a spider, and popped it into the oven so we could decorate. The house is starting to look spooky! Yay!! I love Halloween!!
Today, I am making cookies to put in cute little autumn dishes to give as the b-day gifts for the Sept/Oct family birthdays tomorrow, and I make making Oreo Pudding for both tonight and tomorrow. Tonight I am going to a friend's house down the street to see a screening of Hocus Pocus 2. I had 5 days straight of boredom and now it feels like non-stop action.
HAGD!!
