More rain and flooding and it's making me cranky. It started raining yesterday afternoon while I was trying to tidy up the patio and is going to continue until Saturday night. Gah! I didn't get too much done outside other than clean up some of the tomato plants and morning glories. I attempted to sweep some of the yellow jackets' carcasses but there were a few that were pretty mad at me for doing so. I (smartly for a change) stopped.
I tidied the upstairs bathroom, and finished two more cards, and started my niece's. L to R: MIL, SIL, FIL, other SIL. She is the realtor which is why I used the equity joke.

I have to go shopping today and I don't want to.
Gary printed everyone door corner thingies, like these. I am going to get candles or knick-knacks that match them to make a little package. My SIL is getting a sunflower, so I added the sunflowers to her card and will get a sunflower or yellow candle. My niece is getting a GC. LOL

I hope :praying2: that I can find everything I need at the closest Marshall's (25 mins from here). The next closest place is the Home Goods (40 minutes, also located where the roads flood often.) When I get back I am starting some of the food prep. Then collapse.

All of this is bumming me out. The Color Plays and all of the new kits in the shop are Ah-May-ZING! Did you see the HAPS? I want to sit down and drink coffee and scrap all day. I don't know how I will squeeze it all in so I can do it.:crying1:

Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

@taxed4ever Sun? What's the sun? That must have been lots of fun watching the Rowing Team. Will you go back over the weekend?
It must feel good to get your hands messy with the junk journal. Are you working on any paintings ATM?
Bah. Baths. Unfortunately, we have poor water pressure, and by the time I could fill the bath, it would be ice cold. I can't tell you the last time I had a nice soak.

It was wonderful having Scott for dinner, we even played a game together, Thunder Mountain Railroad, while listening to fiddle music on Amazon. LOL.

@Cherylndesigns You and the girls -- fly by the seat of your pants? I don't believe it. Hahaha!!

@LSlycord I am sorry that your background is a muddy mess. And what was Brian thinking, holes and mud?? :floorlaugh:
You are lucky that the dogs didn't jump all over your new furniture. *HE* is lucky that they didn;t jump on the furniture :nod1:
Hope you had a nice time at the book club.

@bcgal00 I wish I could say something to make you feel better. I want/need to say something but everything I think of is trite. Instead, I'll just send hugs and love ~~~

@BrightEyes That sure was a long day out and about. It sounds like your GI is doing a fab job puzzling out all of your symptoms and side effects. Sheesh- I can't believe how long you have to wait to even get an appt. (totally can believe it, hmph.)
Oh man, what is going on with the vax appts?? Great idea to wait until after the mammo. (reminds me... I am due in Oct. I should really make an appt asap) The vaccine always aggravates my lymph nodes on the lumpectomy side.

@vickyday hope you are doing great too!

Good morning ladies. I am in a better mood this morning. Still wouldn't call it great. Am sick of the mud and rain and clouds...but they are bringing some temperature relief. I don't expect any more days in the '90's so that's good. We may have "feels like" in the 90's, but no real 90's.

Book club was good. Met a bunch of new ladies. That's what I do nowadays...meet bunches of new ladies. We are heading to Hello Dolly tomorrow night. It's community theater which I love so I'm hoping that it is good. I always appreciate the performances of those actors/actresses. It is a lot of work to do one of those.

Other than that, I need to make a snack for our Bunco game on Monday night. Yes, I'm going to try Bunco. I'm putting in the effort to try to like this place. We will see how it turns out.

Other than that, I'm going to do some scrapping. I've got to load my ColorPlay layout.

@faerywings your cleaning is so totally out of hand! :mopping::fairy1:You have become the cleaning fairy! Glad that you had dinner with Scott last night and that you got a chance to play a game together. Does he like his new place? I don't think that I have asked.

@bcgal00 please know that I'm thinking of you and your family. So many emotions. I hope that a miracle does occur on Saturday with the house but the timing of the cruise is perfect. Europe will be wonderful.

@BrightEyes good news on the GI doctor. But sorry the appointment for the MRI is so far away! And all that I can say for the Covid shot is "Good Grief". So much wrong with our world...

HAGD all!

Great birthday cards!
It rained here some last night and was very cloudy all morning and early afternoon. But then the sun popped out and Mark and I ended up being able to ride the bike to supper last night! Perfect temperature, too! It looks gloomy here again this morning! But it isn't raining, so Mark is in the woods, LOL!

Good morning all. It's another beautiful day here and 72 ATM. Not sure what plans I/we have today, but Roger comes home tomorrow so.........................Yes, Chris @faerywings it's hard to believe that we fly by the seat of our pants, isn;t it????? We're impromptu, spur of the moment most of the time (when Roger's gone).

Chris, your cards are adorable and I love the corner thingies. What a clever idea. Sounds like you're about ready except for the rain. UGH. Hope you find everything you need today and don't have to drive another 20 miles. Yes, how about Color Play this month??? It's just amazing, isn't it? I must head over to The Haps. I'm up early so I can figure out how I can get all of the CP's into my next weekends on Instagram before the October CP comes out. I'm going to have to double up on some of them to get them all in there.

I got carried away with CP this month and I always say it takes longer to promote them than it does to make them. LOL Problem is, we can only post 5 a day, in the gallery. I got my first 5 in there before midnight my time, so I got a good start.

Linda @LSlycord I'm glad you're in a better mood. Can't keep a good woman down for long, can you? I always tell myself that when I get in a funk. Do a little self talk and tell myself that this will pass, because "you can't keep a good woman down". That's your "wisdom stick" for the day. :smiliesdoingwave2: Sorry about the mud and the lanai. I don't think I ever told you but we had the same problem - the stupid lanai flooded every time it rained hard. I had visions of an outdoor rug - nope - wasn't going to happen. Outdoor rugs are HIGHLY overrated. Ava keeps saying she's going to get one for her deck, which isn't covered" and I tell her not to waste her money.

I hope everybody has a good day and I'm sending hugs to everybody. :grouphugyay:

I'm great! Thanks! I think Mark and I are both giddy with relief that the blood in his stool was coming from ulcers in his stomach and not from the colon!

Good Friday Morning to All!
Cloudy and cool again today.....so far. But it doesn't keep Mark from the woods! He got up a lot earlier than I did and went to the woods and built a fire to do some reading!

We went to lunch yesterday and then the clouds rolled away in the afternoon and warmed up enough that we rode the bike to try out a new steak place not too far from us. I'm not a steak person and Mark likes his medium rare, which disgusts me, LOL! I got a great chicken sandwich! Their "free" bread was croissants with the honey cinnamon butter! YUM! We ordered a "blooming onion" (I forget what they call theirs) and it was pretty good! Wasn't sitting in a ton of grease like most of them do! All in all, we'll go back, I'd say!

I didn't get much posted yesterday between the knitting, cleaning, lunch and supper out and the bike riding! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! ;)

I think Mark and I have done more bike riding through September than we have all the rest of the year! So I need to get scrapping on those pages! I'll have to use the new CP to scrap them!

Have a great Friday!
:waving1 :hug4:

I actually slept in until 7:30 this morning. Just as glad that the Covid shot got re-scheduled to next Tuesday. I was worn out from all that I did yesterday. Yes, I was pleased with the GI doc and with what his plans are. BTW, @LSlycord - it is not an MRI - it is an endoscopy procedure. They have to book the procedure room for it and it is full until Jan. Not looking forward to it, but it is much easier than a colonoscopy. All those errands took a toll on me so I just sat and binged on "Virgin River" 1st season on Netflix in the evening. I have collected most of Robin Carr's Virgin River books - so it is good to see the series.

I got my Color Play layouts uploaded 1st thing this morning. I may have to snag 1 or 2 more of the bundles as they are so beautiful! I love fall with its vibrant colors.

@faerywings You are a cleaning machine... but you know that no one is going to do a "white glove" inspection when they come to the party! They are glad to be with you and the family and friends. Glad you were smart enough to leave the dead yellowjackets alone when the live ones let you know they were not happy with you. Good luck on making the trip to shop... hope the rain quits soon.

Now I need to sort and do the laundry :laundry: as the bin is over-flowing. HAGD
