Happy Friday!!
The weather matches my mood. Rainy and dark. My heart feels that way after watching most of the hearing yesterday. I am heartbroken and confused. I feel like this country is seriously living in 2 different realities. But I guess, enough of that...
I didn't do much- I tagged some things in ACDSee while I was at my desk, took down the rest of the morning glory vines, snuggled my dogs.

Today I have my physical, it has been 4 years since I had a "regular" check-up. It is crazy that it has been that long, but it doesn't feel like it since I am at Drs appointments *all* of the time. I have to have her look at the lump on my ankle too. It is so gross feeling- sort of hard and sort of squishy but it isn't the same swollen tendon that I have had many times before.

Nancy- Are you pretty much ready to go for the trip? It must be so exciting to be planning and preparing. I am looking forward to some nicer weather this weekend too.

Rae- I can't imagine how burned out you must be. What a weight you have had to carry. Thank goodness for your strength and positive attitude- and Taz!
I am really proud of you for getting the things that you will need to jog in the colder weather. I hope that I can find days to walk with W.

Trudy- your hike sounds *fabulous!* I need to get outside for a good period of time in nature before I am totally cut off b/c of the weather. Drat- I looked at his other good socks for the brand and darn if I can remember it now.

good morning - well we are having a bit of rain but it is to stop soon and move out quickly so we might see sun this afternoon. Luther is in doggie daycare so he will be having fun. Yesterday we had a nice walk. Today I will get my hair cut and colored so I will be set for Sweden. Got more pages scraped so that is good. Thanks to all for the nice comments. And yes Trudy and Rae if I can figure out how to get out West I will make time for you both and it will be a blast! Made a fun dinner of basics steak, salad and sweet potato fries baked. My Devils played in Winnipeg last night and yea won their preseason game. The Jets are one of the teams in the west expected to be a contender and my Devils played them very well. One of the funny points my goalie left his net to make a save and opps gave the puck to the Jets player and my defenseman Severson made a great save. After the game Severson said he would perfer the goalies to make the save and the goalie said he was glad to see him in goalie mode. I love my team.

I will just say a bit about yesterday and the Senate. Dr. Ford was so believable and knowing the culture of prep school boys and athletes and the aggressive manner in which the Judge came out shows to me he even if innocent does not have the impartial judgment to sit on the Supreme Court.

Chris glad you get a regular physical about time! And I bet the bump on your ankle is just a cyst. My DH has the same thing by his knee and that is all it was. Hard and squishy.

Trudy your hike sounds amazing! It must be fun to go on new hikes. I love those sea otters, they are just the cutest! You really are lucky to live there!

Rae I like Chris am not surprised that you are feeling some burnout. So much has fallen on your shoulders. Jogging is a great exercise. I am impressed though as so many joggers I see while walking do not have a smile on their faces. I hope you enjoy the jogs. I am sure that Taz does! How is your D doing? Is he home?

Morning ladies... it is sunny and the temps are going to be like summer today! It will be the last of it though as we are in for some big changes in the weather for the weekend! I truly hope that the weather man is wrong about the weekend weather LOL. Tonight DH suggested that we go out for dinner tonight so we are going to try a new restaurant in the little town of Chemainus that is supposed to be a fun place with great food. Yay I don't have to cook tonight!! :becky: I hope to get to the pool this morning, as I did not make it there yesterday. My facetime with Heather and Hunter went on for too long and then I got busy with making a layout with some more pics of our Paris trip. I hope to get that posted this morning finally. Man I can't believe how long it takes me to get a page completed! :mmph:

Chris - Good luck with your physical! It has been far too long :nono: I am sure that Nancy is right and that your little lump is just a cyst and nothing to worry about! I don't know how you can watch all that hearing stuff, no wonder you are feeling down in the dumps today! Now DT is saying things about our Prime Minister and all this stupid NAFTA crap. I refuse to listen to all that bull, when I start to listen I walk out of the room so I won't get all flustered and pissed off LOL. I know its hard not to be caught up in all of it though! Sure hope that the sun comes out and it makes you feel much better today! Stay away from the news!!! :hug:

Nancy - You have been a scrapping machine!! Loving all your pages and hope to get to the gallery to see your latest ones! Yes aren't the sea otters just the cutest things! There has been some big controversy over the harbour seals and if there should be a cull, they are eating up all the salmon and they think it is affecting the Resident Orcas, we just lost one baby and now they are saying another is very sickly. There are so many seals and the fisherman are really upset about them too! Funny that you are also getting your cut and colour. I got mine yesterday and Rae got herself a fancy new short haircut too, it looks so good on her! Enjoy your day at the hairdressers! You will soon be all ready for your trip! How exciting!

Good morning, ladies. I am ready for my jog with Taz. I will get a bit of desk work done and then we'll head out. I'll spend some time later today editing wedding pics. I want to get our friend's photos ready over the next wk or so. D has been home resting since his surgery and is doing fine. He'll be back to work on Monday.

I am loving the new haircut. Its the shortest my hair has been since I was a young child. Feels weird but I like it. I didn't have to do anything to it this morning except put a bit of paste on my fingers and shape it a bit for texture, took about 25 seconds...I love that! Love my new hairdresser too. She is young and trendy and is a dog lover. We chatted about our dogs just about the whole time. My haircut was totally an impulse decision. After the rough wk I'd had, I was out running errands and drove by a salon that I had gone to a few times about 15 yrs ago. I can't remember why I stopped going but now there are different stylists there so if it was dissatisfaction with the stylist, she is long gone now. Afterwards Ria took me outside and took pics of my haircut. No stylist had ever done that before. She prints them out and attaches them to the client card for future reference. So, it was a really happy impulse decision. B and I walked around the hospital ward for awhile last night for exercise and she was really animated about the whole haircut discussion. Made me think that there must be something we can do with her hair to make her happy. I'm going to think about it. Tomorrow is her b-day but I need to talk to J about her decision on whether to acknowledge it with B. She won't know and if we tell her it might trigger her and she'll have a miserable time. We've been back and forth about how to handle it. Guess today we'd better make a decision. Either way, I'm going to bring up lots of yummy snacks for her.

I'm going to take advantage of the weather tomorrow morning (rain should be starting by afternoon) and head out first thing in the morning to Granville Island to walk around, take pics with my little Fuji and do some shopping in the market. I haven't been there in quite awhile so I'll enjoy it.

Chris - Hope the ankle lump is nothing important. I too haven't had a physical in quite some time. I guess I should.

Trudy - enjoy the new restaurant tonight.

Nancy - must be the week for haircuts....me, Trudy and now you Your trip is coming up so soon now and you must be so excited.

I'm getting to work now for a few hrs and am looking forward to getting out with Taz later for our jog. Have a great day, everyone.

We've been in Oklahoma visiting DH's brother. The two-day drive home got us here yesterday and it was wonderful to sleep in our own bed again. It is sunny but cool today with both cooler and warmer days ahead. Feels like it will take a while to get back to the usual.

I'm thinking of you all and will hopefully be back for personals tomorrow.
