CHEERY O
Ack! I just realized I have been staring at the empty box on my screen in a fog for many, many minutes. Yup, it is Friday... confirmed that. I guess I have nothing much else to say. Ha!

I had a good day yesterday, thanks to Scott and the rest of my family. I asked Scott if he wanted to go on the hike with me and he declined. Logan had slept over with him and Sam and he didn't get much sleep. Logan (he is 3) is a bed hog, and halfway through the night, Scott dragged himself onto the sofa for a few more hours of uncomfortable sleep. He knew I needed to get some more bird seed, so he offered to go with me to the store. I picked him up, ran the errands, and then went back to his house to catch up a little one-on-one. A few hours later, he was here for dinner. Love seeing that kid. :D

I think I'll do the hike today, it should be amazing weather. I can practice my Forest Bathing walk since I am leading two of them on Sunday. One is the regular program and the other is a donor event we are holding at work. The joys of being a non-profit ;)

I think that's it, my brain is feeling mushy.

Which reminds me, I need to talk to my parents and ILs. Next Sunday is Caitlyn's birthday and I thought we could have either brunch or dinner with them. The connection to my brain being mushy is when I asked Caitlyn yesterday which she preferred, brunch or dinner, she told me that she couldn't decide because her brain was mushy.
See? It all makes sense eventually. :rotfl:

Love to you all!

Has anyone seen Kay around? I'm trying not to worry about her.
I hope that you are feeling better by now, @BrightEyes

@AK_Tracy Yikes about having to work in the kitchen that long! Please tell me that you were able to rest and scrap and read the day away.

@Terri M "clear blue sky" is it. Brings you right back, doesn't it? I can't imagine being stuck on the bridge to Staten Island. Any bridge but one so close. *shudders* Lots of hugs to you xoxo
What a mess about the covid shots! I read something yesterday-- day before? Who knows? -- about VA getting a Standing Order to give the shots to whoever wants them. I thought of you and was going to save the article but forgot. See, brain mush.
I am lucky that life is mostly good these days.
Yes, same here! It's a good attitude to have!

@vickyday glad to hear that your stomach is better, and hopefully the headaches are gone too.
Congrats on finding some storage canisters that you liked! I would love to get my kitchen island organized. It's a mess. I finally got Gary to stop dumping all his junk on it but now it's covered in bags of bread and bagels and pitas. There isn't anywhere else to store them and the pile gets bigger and messier all of the time.

HAGD!

Where oh Where is @BrightEyes ?? you are right she has been AWOL lately...probably having fun with the DD's

@faerywings I hope that mush brain solidifies soon I am sure it will when it is really needed. Sounds like a good day for you yesterday with Scott so nice to have a one on one. It's a mom's favorite thing. Your forest bathing hikes sound amazing so I hope you enjoy your practice hike today.

Yesterday was a day of remembering 9-11 the day that changed our lives forever. I know everyone remembers what they were doing and how they were numb.
I went to the ortho Dr. yesterday and I got the news I was expecting- I need to have my other hip replaced--ugh. She wanted to do it right away but have that trip to Germany planned. It's been bothering me but I try to work through it but cannot do it any more. It's bone on bone so pretty painful, I am getting some inflammation reducer meds so hopefully they will help. I sure hope it won't affect everyone else . I will get in replaced after I come back from Germany. I wish I was going to be in better shape for the vacation there but I will do my best to keep up with everyone. There will be lots of walking while in Germany so I think I will bring my fold-able cane just in case. This will also delay our kitchen redo and the new tile floors in LR DR and hallway manly because I cannot move stuff out of the way. China cabinet and huge buffet full of stuff.
Yesterday I got the itinerary for the trip to Germany..13 pages. The girl who is setting it up has so much info...They travel allot so she has so many options for each day. Even places to eat with the ratings. I am looking forward to it and get daily notes from SIL reminding me about things.
Last night I went to Bunko with the girls- there were 16 of us. I did my usual...not wining but having fun. Everyone brings food and drink after we eat we play. It was fun to see everyone I missed the monthly game because we were traveling all summer.

@AK_Tracy You are always pushing but 7 1/2 hours on your feet was a real overdo!!! I hope you take it easy today. I hope you get to scrap your September pages.

Well got to get to the lab for pre-op blood work. As so starts the process!!!

Have a wonderful day

Good morning ladies. I've had a busy wk, some good, some not so good but everything is fine. We had appts this week, both dogs had vet emergency care but are fine now and I have been dealing with some clothes getting little holes in them, so have been searching all through the upstairs to see if there are any moths or something that could be wrecking my clothes. I don't see any evidence of anything but to be sure I thoroughly vacuumed every nook and cranny and washed out drawers with vinegar. I got moth traps to hang in the closets and ordered lavendar and cedar sachets for drawers. I have a feeling the problem might be the washer or dryer b/c I don't see any evidence of moths anywhere but I have read articles about tiny snags in laundry machines that can do this. I am going to spin my clothes at a slower cycle and wash on delicate, and hopefully that will fix the problem. What makes me think it might be the machines (even tho they were expensive and only 2 yrs old) is that nothing that I haven't put through the machines is getting the little holes i.e. new tees that still have tags on them and haven't been washed yet, or sweaters that I haven't worn for a few yrs that are in the closet. Ugh. This drives me nuts. Jen and I have each lost 3-4 sweaters/tees this summer.

Today I am off to canasta and then out for dinner with GFs tonight. We'll catch up on a few shows tonight. I want to keep the PVR empty, to be ready for the new season of shows starting up soon. I love seeing the commercials of returning/new shows. The new 911 Nashville looks good. I like the cast.

@faerywings I totally get "mushy brain". My friend texted me this morning that I forgot to remind her of something last night after dinner when she dropped me off. I had told her at dinner that I would remind her. So I had to text back that I couldn't even remember what it was that I was supposed to remind her of. So yes, I get mushy brain too LOL. Turns out, I was supposed to remind her to spray her windshield with cleaner when she got home and let it sit overnight b/c nothing seems to be getting her windshield clean of bug goo. The car wash and squeegie didn't help at all. Once she told me I remembered but until she did my mind was completely blank.

@BoatLady We've got bundo upstairs somewhere. I should dig it out for a game night.

I've got to get moving, things to do before I head out for the day. HAGD everyone.

Good Morning! Its raining. Its gloomy out. Its a wonderful day!

Please tell me that you were able to rest and scrap and read the day away.
I hope you take it easy today. I hope you get to scrap your September pages.
Rest assured Ladies, I did rest. I read the day away and scrapped one whole page LOL Wasn't in a scrapping mood and the crappy layout told me to just wait. So I did. I just read instead.

Today will be a tab busier with laundry and meeting a friend for a couple hours. My back is killing me, bra line up to shoulders and all the way across. Can you guess where my stress is? yep, tight muscles from lifting heavy pans and tons of stress trying to figure out, plan, and organize 3 trips, 12 church dinners, Costco trips, medical (mine and others who need rides), birthdays and oh yeah, making ends meet. I can feel the stress climbing up my body to sit between my shoulder blades and then fan out and pull everything out of alignment. Chiropractors recovering from surgery too so I haven't been able to get in. BUT life is great!!!!

Yes, Kay, @BrightEyes We are worrying about you now. Your last post was you and DD were under covid restrictions because you were sick and she was exposed. Really hope youre just taking it easy and doing well.

Off and running. Have a. wonderful day Ladies!

I know what a mushy brain feels like since I was up at 4 this morning with more ibs issues then drove 2 hours to pick up Ilene and Penny from the widows' retreat and 2 hours back!

Our kitchen table tends to collect everything since it is by the door from the carport. I would love to get rid of it since we rarely ever eat at it.

Good afternoon,
Not much going on here today.
I woke at 4 this morning with IBS issues. After that settled I drove 2 hours to get Ilene and Penny from the widows' retreat and then the 2 hours back. I'm pretty much wiped out and just listening to an audio book and working crossword puzzles. Mark came home from work and we did our daily devotional and then he went to the woods.
Tomorrow morning is our ladies Bible study then I need to do laundry.
Have a great weekend!
