Hoo boy! It really feels like Fall today. So cold! It is only going to get to 65*- it is nuts!

My dentist appt went fine. I spent at least twice as long driving to and from than actually in the chair. My town is trying to get all of its paving done before school starts next week and I was detoured all over town. The one bad thing about living along meandering country roads is that you can't just get detoured a couple of blocks over, but a mile or two out of your way before you can get back on track. My jaw is aching today. Not even so much from the fillings, but that I have been clenching my teeth so much. And I am silly since I decided to not wear my night retainers all summer so my teeth have shifted. A few nights ago, I thought it would be smart to start wearing them again and it hurts when I put them in. So I have a triple whammy- grinding + retainer re-shifting + fillings = jaw ache

I did that and then on my way home I finally got my monthly blood draw done, even if it was two weeks past due. Better late than never.

The good news of the day is that my mom and I finally got a hotel booked for the Shore!!! it is a really cute bed and breakfast 4 blocks from the beach. Nancy- it is in Spring Lake. It is the town over from where my mom had her summer house as a kid and where we usually go for day trips so she is familiar with the area. Lots of places to eat and walk around to window shop if we want. We spent hours yesterday online and on the phone comparing places and prices so it is a huge relief that we have this settled. Now if I can only find out if Hurricane Irma is going to be an issue :p
We are going the 13-14th so even if Irma does come up the Coast it should be well before we go but it is obviously too soon to know any of those details. So I am going to think positively and that it will be sunny and hot!

I have no idea what to do today. I slept through my alarm and have no motivation to do anything at all.
Who has an idea for me?

xoxo!

Hi Nancy, hope that you are staying warm today. And yeah, looks to be a very rainy weekend. Congrats to your friend and her new grandbaby!
Were you able to do your order? My dad is having the same troubles with his HP printer, it must be so darn frustrating. Our laser printer is acting up too. It won't feed paper from the tray, we have to do it manually. But that isn't the bad part, it is also making some really weird sounds when it prints and then we get a deep black stripe down the side. It goes away and then comes back and no amount of cleaning it will help. there is no way that we can afford another laser printer and the kids use it a lot for their papers for school. yikes.
I hope that you are able to figure out what to do with yours.
My Ils are going on a cruise to Alaska soon. MIL likes wildlife, not so sure about FIL.
Hugs to Luther- hope his ears are ok.

Trudy- How did you do on your last MoS LO? It actually wasn't as hard for me as I expected, I think there were a few others that I struggled with more than this one. I also think that I kind of gave up on caring, not like I am gonna win anything :pound:
The ice cream place makes their own ice cream and creates their own flavors- I had Vanilla Nutella Fluff. It was good!
I am still shaking my head over what a weird weather pattern we had all summer in NJ. It really feels like the east and west coasts flipped quite a bit.
Wow, that is a lot of $$ for Lakefront! My parents bought the lake house 19 years ago for $100,000 give or take. It might be more than that now, probably is, but nowhere near what your fam's house would be like. Their house in NJ is around $400,000, not because the house is big but home value in NJ is always very high. So we could sell that, pay taxes and keep the PA house with little issue.

Rae- I am 100% with you on MoS- glad that I did it but happy to be back to my regularly scheduled scrapping LOL Enjoy your weekend!

Jean- this summer flew by! Cait was ok with her second day, although the Prof she had for Abnormal Psych wasn't sure if he was teaching it for the semester or not. Seems crazy to me. :noidea:
I have never been on a cruise and am not sure what I would think of one. Give me an island beach any day. :)

Ugh, I am being so darn lazy! Better get going and do what I gotta do.(bummer!!)

Hugs!

Morning O-zies!! Another long weekend here this weekend and then I suppose all the kids will be dragging their butts back to classes! So hard to go back to school in September as we usually have a nice warm Indian Summer. I remember sitting in the classroom in high school dreaming of swimming in the lake, while we were cooking in the class. Lots going on for us again this weekend as we will head up to the Lake again to help FIL with his broken wharf. I need to hit the farm market again tomorrow before we go and get me some of the great new snack that I discovered there last weekend. There is a lady that makes her own pork rinds and they are so much better than any you could buy in the stores. She has BBQ and Garlic ones too along with just the plain ones. I never thought I would like something like that, but they are so good!! I use the store bought ones for my crumbs on some Keto recipes they are really good that way. Then on Sunday we are invited to my Sister's Place (the one with the B&B) for supper and my other Sister will be there also with her husband. A farewell to summer get together I guess you could say. In between we have lots of yard work to do and a new fertilizer spreader to purchase for the grass as DH broke his last night while spreading fertilizer on the lawn. So he is keeping his fingers crossed that he will not have a burnt lawn as the spreader broke and spilled all the fertilizer in one spot half way through. :frusty:

Chris - I am still working on my last page for MOS!!! It is taking me forever to get it the way I envision it should be. :gaah: I think that maybe I should just stop caring and get it over and done with!! I am not going to win anything either :becky: I need to go and see how yours turned out! I bet its way better than you think it is!! Yes property is just insane here and over in Vancouver you can not get anything in the way of a house under 1 Million. I don't know how young families live over there, it is just crazy and getting just as bad over here on the Island anywhere near Victoria or if you have waterfront property. When my Gary's Grandfather purchased that property on the Lake, they paid One hundred and twenty five dollars for it. LOL Isn't that crazy!! It was a lot of money back then and they could have bought another property for less but Grandma wanted the Lake Front. That flavour of ice cream sounds very interesting!! I think I would have liked that one too! Hope you get some energy to do something fun today! That trip to the shore sounds like just the perfect thing for you and your Mom to do!! I bet you can't wait!!

Nancy - we are probably cross posting, hope that Luther got his ear all checked out and is feeling better! I need to go and check out your most recent pages, you are such a fast scrapper!! I hope that you got your order all done for your new printer, it is hard to buy things like that when you can't actually see or touch them or try them out first. But online shopping is so nice to be able to do!!

Rae - Hope you managed to get your work all done and got your invoice sent out! I bet you will be getting ready to hit the road and cross the border soon. I hope that you have a wonderful time at your trailer!! Enjoy your long weekend!!

Jean - Hope that the clouds have moved on and you are back to the sunshine today!! Any exciting things happening for you this weekend? I am with you and wish that summer could go on and on!! Enjoy your day!

Well I have to get on the phone with our provider and get them to come and check our PVR boxes as the Telus Optik TV is not working at all this morning. We have been having some issues with it over the past few days, but now no TV at all grrr!!! Its always something isn't it!! Better get on going and get this last page finally done. Then I need to get some behind the scene things finished off here too. Have a great Friday ladies!

Good morning, ladies. Am doing lots of stretches this morning. Helped Darrell lift some work cabinet drawers out of his van last night and pulled the muscles in my lower back a bit. So I took some Advil, went to bed early, put a pillow beneath my knees and did some gentle stretching off and on throughout the night, every time I woke up. Luckily it's achy and sore this morning but I'll still be able to function, just a little slower and more carefully, especially with bending. I so thankful I've been on this healthy journey this year as the weight loss has greatly helped my back and knee problems.

We're heading out this afternoon for the trailer. I expect the border to be busy but not much we can do about it, just cross our fingers we get lucky with lineup waits. Jen is coming out tomorrow afternoon so we'll head into town in the early morning to shop so we'll be back before she arrives. I popped into Value Village again at lunch yesterday and so far my good luck is holding, I found a new jacket (still with price tag that fits perfectly for a great price) and a few more sweaters and shirts. I'm looking forward to popping into the consignment stores tomorrow in Bellingham as I have another bag of stuff to drop off to them and then will look thru the clothes for a few more sweaters and shirts. The only thing I really need now is a few pairs of sweat pants which I love to wear at home, to be comfy. I tried to shrink down the pairs I have but they are just so big now that I really need to get a couple of pairs that fit properly. Good thing I like to shop b/c I sure have needed to do a lot of it lately :)

Chris - sounds like a wonderful trip away with your mom. Sorry to hear your jaw is aching, hope wearing the retainer helps.

Trudy - yes, you are right about housing costs here. It boggles my mind that our home is worth a million yet is old, needs tons of repairs and isn't an especially big lot. It's crazy. It'll be a good day to be up at the lake, sunny and hot. Hope you get your last page done. You'll feel so relieved when it's over and the pressure is off and you will feel proud that you got them all done.

Nancy, Jean and anyone else - hope you all well and have a great day.

Gotta get some work done and start packing up things to bring to the trailer for the wkend. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

I'm being a real wimp feeling like it's so cold. Out in the sun is pretty nice though. There's an air show this weekend and they practice today. Just now hearing one of the jets. They come almost over the house. Love to see them! Otherwise, nothing special planned. DH restrings his guitar in Sept., so he's doing that now.

Chris, hope you got outside if there is any sun. Otherwise scrapping without MoS constraints might be nice. Or just dreaming of that weekend at the shore.

Trudy, good luck with the last LO, I'm sure it will turn out well. You are still pretty busy sounds like. Yikes about the spreader. Guess that wasn't fun.

Rae, know you'll have a wonderful weekend away. Please take care with the back though. Thank goodness you have fewer troubles with it now.

Nancy, hope all is well with Luther. Hope you're enjoying the tennis.

Good vibes to everyone!!
