Happy Friday to all of you! :yo:
While I am still in a lot of pain, the sun is shining and tomorrow I won't have to deal with my alarm clock.

I was outside yesterday morning, waiting for the dogs to finish up their pottying, and I unwrapped the string of Halloween lights that were making me crazy and re-did them I know that I would and the timing was perfect. However, I was running so slowly, that I didn;t get to the supermarket until well after 9 and the place was so crowded already. That was so frustrating. My town desperately needs another grocery store. The store keeps moving things around to make it look more presentable (not working) but the produce is still horrible and the prices keep going up. not to mention, no one can find anything, not even the employees trying to do Shop from Home orders.

I spoke to my mom and asked her if she had spoken to my Aunt at all. She lives in Boca Raton, and my cousin lives in Boyton Beach. My aunt won't evacuate in spite of my mom trying to get her to at least go to her DD's house which is more inland than hers. Stubborn women in my family hhhmph.

The highlight of my day was to redecorate my little Faery house on the from porch. I have an arbor that MIL gave me, it had fallen apart but nothing that hot glue couldn't fix. Then I added some fake spiderwebs, some acorns, and now it is spooky :D

Today is Cait's appt and I am not looking fwd to sitting in those hard chairs with my back all messed up. I think I am going to slap on a million pain patches before we leave.

I hope that anyone who read this on the SE Coast stays safe, I know Cindy is in the midst of it. Kat- I think by the time it hits your area it won't be as bad hopefully, and we are only expected to get rain. the Shore will probably get some rough surf, but it should be anything too bad.

hugs and love to all!

nancy- that it too bad about the penalties, but good for killing them off. They will get better as the preseason goes on. woo hoo Luther!!!! That is always a good feeling to come home and not have anything chewed.
I wish I knew how to help with getting him to continue walking when he doesn't. Ray does that to me, where she will sit down and need to be dragged to get her back on her feet. The trainer told me when I was having trouble walking J this summer to be reassuring to her, to gently pull her leash toward me in a rocking manner. The other thing that I try to do is make her take a couple of steps in the direction that I want to go, before I turn her around so she gets the idea that I am the boss of the leash. It is not always successful but we are working on it.

Trudy- ITA with Nancy- you have done such an amazing job supporting and helping Heather.
I love that little leaf smiley! The leaves here are falling not singly, but in clumps, if that makes sense. It will be rough raking them, but maybe I can pick them up and toss them into the woods. Bet you will get some nice pictures of your leaves soon.

Rae- oh my goodness, what a mess - still sending good computer vibes to you. And to your stomach as well. Feel better! (On the silver lining side- at least none of this is happening when you had Beckham... :p)

good morning - the day is gorgeous with blue skies and lots of sun. Feeling bad for Florida and how weird that the storm is going to loop back to the same area. Poor Luther back to vet with a bacteria infection of a sore on his back leg. I swear the vet is becoming a home away from home. Made mac and cheese for dinner and it was one of my best batches. Not sure why but even my son and his friend said that it was super. It was funny my son and his friend were going out to eat but Charles had a bite and called his friend and said this was better than going out. That is a first. I had to put away 3 containers for him for his lunches. Watched base ball, football and hockey. What could be better. Today is more of the same.

Chris so glad you had fun outside. Enjoy the redecorating the house. Hope you don't have to wait long in the hard chairs. I have done all those suggestions with Luther on our walks. Today he was super stubborn until we met his friend Loki. Once he played he was fine. I am thinking he just wants to see a friend. Poor baby! But I still need someone to help me find the right way to curb this behavior. I still ponder whether he stops to check out every dog as protection or curiosity.

Trudy hope you had a good day. I saw the Blue Jays won the first game so they are off to a great start. From all the tweets I read every Canadian hockey player no matter where they play in the US still cheers for the Blue Jays. Pretty cool.

Rae as Chris said still sending you good karma for your computer woes. Like the idea of rearranging your room so you two can be together more in the evening - that is sweet!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It is windy and wet this morning!! Stormy all night with a ton of rain, so that is great for the rivers and the upcoming Salmon spawn! First big wind storm of the Fall and it pretty much blew all night long! It will be a fine mess to clean up in the back yard!
Today I head to the grocery store to pick up fresh veggies for Thanksgiving Dinner. DS and his family should be arriving tomorrow around noon, so I need to think of something for lunch also. Nancy could you send me your recipe for Mac and Cheese?? It sounded like it turned out great!!

Chris - Sorry your back is feeling so sore! I sometimes wake up with a sore back, but I know that it is self inflicted from sleeping on my stomach. I have to stop doing that!! It is so bad for your back! :nono: You are having fun at least re-decorating for Halloween, hope that your weather continues to be nice for you and you can get outside and soak up those wonderful rays!!

Nancy - Isn't that great to know that those Canadian boys are still die hard Jays fans LOL! DH came home from work and didn't even say hello to me, just ran up to the TV to turn on the game and find out the score :becky: Hope you get Luther all fixed up and you figure out just what it is he is being so stubborn about! Enjoy the nice weather and hope you get out for another walk

Rae - How awful that you were sick all night long!! Makes you wonder about your Chinese Food Place and if they are storing their food properly! They might have lost a customer! Hope you are feeling much better today! Have a great time at your trailer! Enjoy your quiet time away!! Happy Thanksgiving, don't eat too much Turkey LOL, how can anyone eat too much Turkey?? Yummy!

Well I better hit the shower and get going to the grocery store, before the crowds get to big, Friday's are always nuts downtown and this being a long weekend it will be even crazier than usual!! Have a great Friday everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. I'm editing like crazy, as quickly as I can. I probably shouldn't go away tonight but am going to anyway. I need a few nights to relax. Then I will edit like crazy again when I get back for a few days and get it all done (if my computer hangs on that long). It doesn't seem to act up if I don't use photoshop though, so not sure what's going on.

Chilly, wet and dreary looking here today. I'll keep the dog visit to the park short today. Had a good sleep last night and the stomach is back to normal. I think I will stay away from that Chinese food. Taz was funny last night. Just as we finished dinner, we were still sitting in the kitchen and watching Young and Restless (our dinner show LOL and has been for 25 yrs), he came and sat on his mat, staring at me, I got up and asked what he wanted and he led me into the LR to lay in the middle of the floor, he got a few toys and his big bison bone and lay down beside me. After a minute I got up, went back into the kitchen and he did it again. Went back into LR with him and again, he lay on the floor with the toys and bone and kept staring at me, pawing at the floor, wanting me to lay down again. This happened 4 times and then I offered him a treat and sent him to go play with Darrell so I could go back to work LOL. Silly dog.

Chris - hope your back holds up. Do you have any painkillers to take that aren't too strong to take the edge off?

Nancy - the only advice I can offer for Luther's stubborn walking is to carry treats, when he sits, walk back to him, run the treat under his nose and start walking away slowly, letting him see the treat in your hand, not looking at him, not pulling the leash (as long a leash as you have is good for this to give the leash slack and give him time to decide to come with you without pulling the leash tight). As he moves to you, give him the treat, praise, and keep walking. This helps to reinforce the habit of following your lead. Hope this helps.

Trudy - enjoy your family time and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Bailey is so excited to be cooking her first meal for us on Sunday and will bake a ham. Jen & I are bringing most of the other food and I'll show Bailey how to glaze the ham. Her enthusiasm is so sweet.

OK, ladies...gotta go. Lots to do. Have a wonderful day!

I'm so out of the loop here! We spent almost two weeks with BIL in Tulsa staying a little longer than planned as DH and I both came down with colds and it's a long drive home if sick. Anyway, home again and mostly well. Haven't been to the O all that time, but did make some last minute DSD purchases last night. Hopefully I can catch up a bit.

Sure hope Mathew doesn't cause as much destruction as it could and all are safe!

Chris, hope you've survived Cait's appt. Glad you have the annual Halloween fun to fall back on.
