Happy Friday!!!
How is the O-Fam today? Hope that all of you are well. I am so darn tired. I was supposed to be going to a Dr appt with Caitlyn this morning but was canceled so we are going next Friday. I don't have to be anywhere today and I think that is good. I think. *grins* It is good for me today but that means next week is going to be bonkers.

Dentist appt was ok. The grooves were supposed to be small so minimal drilling. Turns out that underneath the grooves was more decay so I needed a lot more work to be done. And nope- no luck on saving money with silver fillings. My dentist hasn't used silver amalgam in over 10 years and the office manager said that she doesn't know of *any* dentist that uses that. So basically, my insurance plan says that it covers fillings, but only for an obsolete procedure.

Scott made it to two of his 4 classes. He was ok-ish at the start of the day but his neck hurt more and more as it went on. He ended up coming home by 2. He is really unhappy at the school. Not the college itself but the classes he has to take. He has struggled since Day One trying to fit what he wants and likes to do into an actual Major. I don't know how to help him with that. I don't think I can nor should, but damn, it is hard to sit back.

I put a couple of things up outside for Halloween but we still need a lot more to go. Hopefully, I can do some of that today. Plus, I need to get my calendar/household stuff under control. My desk has papers all over it that I have been ignoring. I have been mostly MIA from here too. I promised myself that after September was done, I would be here more. I suck :(

Anyway, that is what is going on in my little world.

Hoping that all of you have a happy day!!!

Nancy- it was weird like that here too- either brilliant blue sky or overcast. And same here, cold inside, warm and humid outside.
That is great news about your knee. Keep that good news coming!

It is funny about the anti-Yankees. When I was growing up, that is how I felt about the Dallas Cowboys. I had to be a Steelers fan. ;)

Trudy- how lovely your hike must have been. I would have been so recharged if I were on that hike with you. It is energizing just hearing about it.
Did the shop take all of your clothes? I hope that you have just as much luck selling your clothes as Rae has had. Go, Trudy!

Rae- that is wonderful to hear that you are feeling normal. Yay!! Oh boy... I hope everything is Ok with Bailey. It must be so nerve-wracking for you and Jen. Good thoughts coming to the 3 of you.
You are going to be busy with the extra work but I am sure extra money will be good especially with the holidays coming up so quickly.
Isn't that Dr. B's soap amazing? It can be drying so make sure you moisturize. Lavender is and always will be one of my favorites. I was cutting out some of the dead stalks from my plant yesterday and I could face plant into it and never have to move.

Jean- did you make it to the apple farm? I am sure that their cider will be so much better than the supermarket.
As you saw, I did go to the dentist. I am such a stick in the mud. ha!!!! But it was nice to spend some time outside with some spooky things. Gary isn't sure he wants to do a display this year which will be a huge bummer. Maybe he will pull through.

The shore still would have been nicer!

Felis- you know how I feel about animals like that, which is one big reason why we ended up with a 3rd dog! It isn't right. It is also hard to get out of the mindset that nothing changes. Unless you are super-wealthy. Then you just get wealthier.
Anyway-- I understand how your heart must break. Hoping that today is an easier day for you.
Good advice for Jean with the bell collar. But I agree, some cats are pure evil. (not really but they put on a good act) hahaha!!!!

May the sun shine brightly for all of you!

good morning - wow another hurricane in the Gulf and will be bringing us lots of rain next week but the poor Gulf. Looks like New Orleans will be getting hit this time. But for me today it is a Luther in doggie daycare. I went yesterday to buy more days and ask about keeping him during our vacation. They said he will do so well. They said they love him and he loves the dogs. So I think sometime in the spring I will try an overnight just to ease my mind. LOL They said they will email and send photos. Wow that makes me feel so much better. Today I have to go and get my drivers license renewed. Yuck just going makes me feel tired. And I am tired anyway as Luther was up 2x really going crazy in the backyard. I smelled the skunk and so got him in fast and he did not seem to have been attacked but boy the smell was strong in the backyard. It was such a way different bark that when he barks at cats or squirrels. My DH slept through it.

Chris I am so enjoying these last few days of heat. We need rain but it can wait until after the weekend LOL. Have fun with the dirt. Chris that is just not fair that Scott is having not enjoying his classes and having a neck that hurts does not help! Hope a weekend makes it all better.

Trudy your hike sounds lovely and not to taxing. Saw the Penguins lose 10-1 LOL that was a lot of fun. How did the consignment store go. Bet you made out well.

Rae yea how great to finally feel well. And I guess congrats on more work. You are so good at time management that I bet you still have plenty of me time. So so sorry about Bailey. Hope she shows up for Thanksgiving.

Jean how was apple picking. It is on my agenda this Oct to get out picking. And I forgot that CC was an Indian. Looks like your manager is pretty smart starting Bauer! Should be a great game again today!

Felis it is sad how people just abandon dogs. But thank goodness there are people that love to help, just like you and Chris.

Have a great day all.

Good morning, girls!
It's sunny afternoon here. Of course person may be unhappy till watch gray cats to play on sun, but it's really very difficult. Or something like that was said at "My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises".
I waked up with migraine after night with nightmares. But after coffee, fresh air and cats, I'm much better now. In the same book was told also: ''when the situation becomes tense, grab as many children as you can and run'', this is what I'm doing. No matter how bad I feel about the happened at the world, I can't do anything to help. In my students years maybe I would, but I'm too tired, to broken now.
So I'll try to isolate my mind and find peace at the sunny day, because they told that tomorrow will be cold.
Hope you all have great Friday! Don't forget to hugs your fur babies!

Nancy, I hope renew drivers license don't take so much nervous and bureaucracy, like here. Probably for you this situation isn't fun at all, but to me sounds very cool to have skunk ! We don't even have skunks in Europe. Once one beech marten was come, but attack the cats (I think they challenge it first), so we need to push it away fast. I heard about the hurricane in Germany, so sad! Hope all at New Orleans to not be strong and all go safe!

Chris, mothers heart is always caring, but you have one intelligent and strong young man which will overcome this easy, probably needs time! Happy Halloween decorating today!

Jean, this buffalo page is awesome, I would love to see them!

Rae and Trudy, hope your day go well and we have weekend against us, yey!

Hope you all have great Friday! Don't forget to hugs your fur babies! :pupkiss:

Happy Friday ladies!! It is cloudy and perhaps a chance of rain today. Forecast for the Thanksgiving weekend looks pretty good though, we are hoping to go on a hike with our Son, DIL and grands to Stoney Hills. They also want to go check out a Market/Vineyard called "Saison" it is very near to where we live and DH and I have never gone there either, but it does look tasty and is supposed to have an awesome bakery!! Not that I can eat any of that but who knows perhaps they will have something Keto for me eat. The consignment store visit went very well, she loved all of my clothes and said that they should sell no problem. I have a 60 day contract with her and will contact her at the beginning of December to see if I have anything left that hasn't sold, at that time she will decide if I should keep them there or to pick them up. She has a really strict system, but it works well for her and she is doing a great business! Some very lovely clothes in her store, its was hard to not try on a bunch of things and buy :becky: But it is going to be a very expensive Christmas this year so I have to watch my spending a bit.

Chris - Poor Scott, I am sad to hear that he is not enjoying his classes and then to have his neck still hurting so much, so hard to get through the day when you have pain like that! I hope that Gary changes his mind about doing a Halloween display, he seems to always enjoy it so much! I was thinking about the fillings yesterday and I am pretty sure that my dentist no longer uses silver fillings either and probably hasn't for many years, so I don't see how your insurance could not cover you when its impossible to get a silver filling :loco: I am hoping to post a page of my hike today for your challenge this month. I might change it a bit after to add to it for my photo book that I am trying to get done. I seem to never be able to get to it though LOL.

Nancy - How nice that Luther does so well at doggy daycare! They sound like they love him there! It will be a big relief to know that he is well loved when you have to leave him for your upcoming vacation! Yikes! the Penquins got a spanking last night!! Hubby was very happy with his Bruins win last night, but they almost blew it in the final few seconds. My wardrobe has never been very large, so I only had about 17 items to give to the consignment store, so keeping my fingers crossed that they sell quickly. I am not a huge clothes freak, much to my husbands delight, but I do like to dress nicely when I go out. So because I don't go out much I don't have to worry about a large wardrobe LOL. I could spend everyday in the fall/winter in leggings and a warm cozy sweater.

Jean - I hope you had a nice time getting apples! We have an amazing apple orchard near us that sells award winning cider. They have a nice restaurant also. I know you would love it! Hope you have a lovely day today!

Feels - I am sorry that you are feeling so sad! It is horrible to think that there are so many out there that can be so very cruel to poor defenceless animals! I am hopeful that you are feeling much better and that you will soon be back to work also

Rae - How worrisome for you that Bailey never showed up for her birthday dinner! I sure hope that you hear from her soon and that all will be ok with her! Perhaps she will join you for Thanksgiving! Sounds like you will be very busy with this new schedule you have, the extra $$ will be nice for sure! I am sure you will be great and organizing your work schedule and still fit in time for yourself and your scrapping too!! Nice that you got the new soap, it sounds like you love it! Hope you and Taz are having a nice day today!

Ok I have to get to the grocery store and get my food for the Thanksgiving weekend! I can't believe how quickly this month is going by already! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I will most likely be very absent from the computer and busy with my grandkids :bliss:

Good morning, ladies. I'm living in the house of sickness...ugh. Not me but now it's Darrell. Jen came by yesterday to pick up her new iPhone that she got delivered to our house. She is really sick too. I'm pretty sure we'll go ahead with Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday regardless of how sick everyone but I'll be sanitizing everything as much as I can and hopefully the two sickies don't pass the germs onto Bailey and I. I will be so frustrated if I get sick again so soon after the last bug so am going to make an essential oil hand sanitizer today and will be using it constantly throughout the wkend. Darrell only made it to work for an hour and he came home. He's lying in his lazyboy, all bundled up with blankets.

Heard from Bailey. She had taken a nap, set her phone alarm to wake her and the phone battery died. She has very weird sleeping times so I'm not surprised this happened. Just glad it wasn't any other problem. We'll give her her gifts at dinner on Sunday.

My wkend will be desk work, tax work, pvr watching, a few walks with Taz and will fit in some scrapping time too. With Darrell being sick, I'll hide out in the basement as much as possible, in my office. He's coughing and sneezing all over the place upstairs.

Chris - try to relax and have a peaceful day. Sorry to hear that Scott is struggling with his classes and that his neck is still bothering him.

Nancy - if Luther is anything like Taz, he will love overnights at the daycare. I worried about Taz sleeping outside the home, in a pen at the daycare but it turned out he loved being there, didn't mind having his little pen to himself and had a blast. We had put him in there for a week.

Felis - hope you find peace in the sunny day there. I know how you feel, I too wish I could do more, take in animals that need help but realistically it's not a good idea financially for us. But if I ever win a big lottery, that is my dream, to have a large property and lots and lots of animals.

Trudy - enjoy the market. Not likely to have keto friendly food but if you are like me, you will enjoy the smells and be okay with not eating it. Glad things went well at the consignment store. Are you at the goal weight yet? I feel like I am and I seem to be holding steady, give or take a few lbs.

Jean - buffalo page??? I'll have to go look. Going to an apple orchard sounds fun too.

I'm getting out of here. Want to get a few hours work done before I head out for some shopping at lunch time. Have a great day, everyone.

Yesterday was beautiful so drive to the apple farm was nice. Their website didn't list them, but we found they had some Northern Spy apples, my DH's favorite. We had one later and it tasted so good. I'm looking forward to the cider tomorrow. Today is cloudy and a little rainy but hopefully will be OK for the baseball game at 5:00. Last night's game was sure fun for us. We had our annual furnace check this morning and the usual couple of parts were replaced, but all is fine. I'm signed up for the live version of three webinars today, so may be very occupied.

Chris, what nonsense about the fillings covered! Anyway, good thing you got it taken care of. I don't suppose Scott's school offers guidance in major selection, etc.? Probably was hard for him to even last for two classes yesterday. Hope the weekend will see the pain end. Wow, can't imagine your DH not doing a Halloween display. But if he hasn't started work on one, he may mean it. You'll still have a great time putting up decorations inside and out.

Nancy, the doggy day care sounds like a super place and since they like Luther and he likes them, you may have an option for a vacation that will please everyone. I've cheered for the Penguins before, but since they've got back to back Stanley Cups, I definitely think it's time for someone else. Much as it galls me, I may have to have hopes for the Blue Jackets. We have great hopes for today's baseball game. And not only was CC an Indian, it was here that he won a Cy Young, just before being traded. Not a sore subject or anything.

Felis, sure wish you could feel better. Please be outside and hug your fur babies. As to the Tulsa cat, BIL has worked hard to cure her of hunting birds in the yard he has designed to attract birds and butterflies and mostly has succeeded, just not always. He protects prime areas with decorative fencing too. She adopted his yard as a small kitten and has been there ever since.

Trudy, the consignment store sounds very nice. Since she liked your clothes, it's likely they will do well there. Too bad you couldn't shop a little too. I know you'll have a wonderful family time this weekend.

Rae, guess today is work and getting ready for Thanksgiving. Hope it is a good time and Bailey is present.

Cheers to all!
