Wow. I am shocked at how fast this week went by. Wasn't I just "celebrating" last week's TGIF yesterday? I don't know why this week flew by, I didn't do anything spectacular. In fact, I think I had more free time this week than I had in a while.

I still wasn't feeling 100% in the morning, my head was killing me and it didn't help that Floyd was doing his meow-screech at me either. I was helping Cait study for a big test today and he sat at the top of the stairs and screamed. He didn't want or need anything other than attention. But with him yammering on in view of the dogs which made them bark and my eyes hurt and

I left a message for my mom to wish her good luck and spoke with her in the afternoon. The Rehab sounds like it is going to be super helpful for her. She needs to stop reading so much into what people say or how they say it. It makes her stress over things I don't think she needs to stress about. She will start with 2 sessions a week and then hopefully be able to move to three. The program runs for 12 weeks.

She asked me to help her read some blood work results. So many years of reading mine and the kids with the Lyme tests, I can usually figure out what is what. I logged into her account and I think seeing it all there in black and white-- actually all of them out of range results in red... ;) Well I guess that made it seem more real to me. But like I said to her, her Dr has all of that info and is treating her accordingly. If the cholesterol is high but has her on meds-- don't worry about the actual numbers. He doesn't want to see her for a few weeks so that also has to mean that she is stable. All "good" news. (Right?? It is not easy being a DD trying not to worry haha!)

I also spent some time looking at color swatches online for the paint I want to get for the LR. It is going to be hard to get the right shade of grey. There are sooo many! (More than 50!) I need Gary to help me with the calculations on how much paint I will need too. Numbers are not my forte.

It looks like today is going to be a decent day to rake so that will be my plan. Right now I am off to post this so I can help Caitlyn study a bit more.

Hugs!

Kay- what memories you must be seeing as you scan the photos, how sweet. That is too bad that your back isn't enjoying it as much.
What are you and the DDs going to do tomorrow besides getting your earrings back in? I have 4 holes in one ear and they are all closed. The one in my right ear is fine. I need to re-pierce the bottom one on the left.
Thanks for the compliments on my chairs. My family really loves them too, they weren't sure of the idea before I did them, but now they are 100%.

Trudy- Good thing that you didn't get lost in the woods! That would have been bad. BTDT when I have gotten turned around on a trail. Scott has more times than I can count too :D
I saw the calendar page on FB! Woot!! bananas were going to be my suggestion for your feet cramping too. Magnesium should also help since you can't eat bananas.

Nancy- Wow!!! GREAT news from the dr- I swear, the healing seems to be going so much faster this time. (again, for me it is...I am not in your shoes and compression socks LOL)
I was surprised and pleased with what the Astros did, esp when they did it. They might have wanted to sweep it under the rug but they did the right thing for not doing that. Women everywhere seem to have to go that extra mile.
Keep resting so your body continues to heal.

Hugs!

Wow, been up since 5 AM and working on the MiniO's that were released this morning. So many lovely products. Hard to choose which to work with!! LOL

Yikes... I forgot to dig out my earrings... BRB
Found them right where I thought they were - in my ring holder box! Dug out my cleaning solution, too - so all set for DD#1 to help put them in tomorrow. The girls and I will be talking about our trip to DSon#1 next month... and also about holidays. Granddaughter made a floral arrangement using one of DH's boots for DD#3 and DD#1 brought it back from AZ. So she is bringing it over for DD#3.

Woke up to 31 degrees - and it went down to 29 before starting back up. Going to be on the cold side in the mid-50's. Glad I put on my heavier plush PJs last night. Today will be a sweatshirt day for sure... along with long-handles for the legs. I need to get the bills paid and in the mail today. Also have a coupon for Kohl's that I need to use before the end of the month.

Trudy, that was one LONG hike!!! Glad you made it through without being too exhausted! So sorry you can't have bananas as that is my go-to when I have leg/foot cramps. It could be a lack of potassium causing them. I get the cramps when I get dehydrated.

Chris... I hope you are getting paint strips from the store rather than on-line. Colors on the monitor will not be the same due to how your monitor is set up. Good luck on finding the right paint for the room.

The house is finally warm enough for me to get my shower. Then will get busy on my 'must - do' list.

Morning everyone and Happy Friday! I agree Chris this week has just flown by! Today I will go to Chemainus and the Christmas Store with SIL Linda. Not much else happening around here. Yesterday I got to the pool and it was a bit more busy than it has been in recent weeks. Still not bad though and it was good to get my laps in! I got some painting done on the fourth turtle painting and hopefully it will be finished soon and off to its new home. I have had a few other people interested in getting turtle paintings, so I need to find out if they are serious so I can get going on them. They were wanting them for Christmas gifts, so I need a decision soon! We are getting company from Saskatchewan on Monday, an old neighbour from when we lived in North Battleford, she and her Husband divorced quite a few years ago, but she is now remarried and it will be so nice to reconnect with her. Her daughters were good friends with Heather and we still keep in touch, so nice to see how the families have grown and now they all have kids of their own. It should be a nice visit!

Chris - I feel exactly the same way about the week flying by and yet I feel like I did not get too much accomplished lol. More free time too, but still where do the days go?? Sorry that your head was aching this morning, but no wonder with screeching cat and barking dogs, that would give anyone a headache! :twitch: Hope that your Mom does well with her Rehab and it takes some of the stress away from her life! Nice tha tyou are able to help her with reading her test results and hopefully all those red numbers get better over time! Thanks for liking my calendar page! I posted it in the Challenge 4 gallery, so killed two birds with one stone. I really had fun with it, even if it took me forever to do it LOL. Hope you get your raking done, ours will have to wait for a bit as it is rainy today, but the next few days look promising.

Kay - Ugh I don't envy you the job of doing all that scanning! However it must be sweet to see all of those memories again! So glad that you found your earrings! It will be good to have them back on your ears again. I rarely wear earrings, so it always surprises me when I do put them on that my hole has not grown over. How nice that your DD is able to help you with putting your earrings back in. You must be getting excited about your trip!
Hope your weather warms up a bit for you, it is no fun having a shower in a cold house! The mini O's are stunning again, I will have to see if I can find some time to do a page. Yes I think that perhaps my cramps get bad when I don't drink enough water.

Nancy - Sounds like you are healing well and you will be out walking Luther again soon! Yes Karma for the Astro for sure! Shame on them! Yes not much wildlife to see when we hike, we are a noisy bunch for sure! Hope you are enjouing your knitting and your sports!

Ok Heather is calling me and I have to get ready after that to meet up with Linda. Have a great day everyone!

Wednesday evening I did some sketching at the natural history museum with the little group there again. I partly worked with a display of beetles that are fascinating. Yesterday was class again and I finished the current piece which is now on my blog. The teacher brought her new pearlescent paints because I showed her a sample of the one I bought. They are really fancy and I used her colors for a drawing of a beetle. That was fun!

Not fun yesterday was DH coming down with another cold or whatever. He was miserable. This morning I'm not sure I'm not getting it too. Hoping not!

Chris, I'm trying to remember what happened since last Saturday and it is a blur for me too. Screeching cat, barking dogs, and helping Cait study sound a recipe for more than an aching head. :eek2: Good kid for dealing with mom's test results and not getting too crazy after seeing them. You must be walking a fine line between the support she needs and nagging or freaking out.

Kay, plush PJs sound so cozy. Hope you take photos of the arrangement in the boot as it must be really cute. Glad our weather hasn't been quite that cold yet but next week it will be down some. Hope you warm up a little.

Trudy, that hike must have been an adventure. I can 't imagine doing it without the extra distance so you are clearly in such good shape. Are you getting burned out with all these turtle paintings, especially with the thought of more? But what a compliment it is for folks to want them. And the calendar page is delightful. Everyone will love it.

Nancy, you are also in great shape to be recovering so quickly. Amazing how much I think you'll be glad when you start getting around well and without pain. So when/where is the next trip? And thanks for ranting about the Astros situation. I've been watching the games but not reading about them so totally missed the whole thing. Such a blemish on them even though they've now done something right. And they sure did miss the boat with their play in the first two games.

Felis, thanks for liking my little chipmunk and its page. You would enjoy them I'm sure. One day recently a woodchuck or groundhog was in our yard also eating acorns. They are a LOT bigger and I'm glad it didn't stay.

Wishing all a lovely weekend.
