Hello and happy Friday! Considering I only worked two days this week, I don't think I deserve to be excited about it being Friday. Although, as I think about it, I am *not* excited about it being Friday. I am as "meh" about today as I have been every other day this week. :rotfl:
I am noticing the shorter days are affecting my mood and the colder weather is affecting my body. All of my old injuries are letting me know they are still around. Thanks, dudes...

I was feeling off during the field trip, too. The kids were great and we found a *ton* of awesome stuff in the stream. Some of the insects were ones we hadn't seen in a while, and sooo many newts. But sheesh, it was cold with the wind blowing. I have to get into the attic today to look for my hats and gloves. I found a backup pair of gloves before I left the house yesterday, but they aren't a good choice for Weis. They are white, for now. ;)

What am I going to do today? :thinking2:
I think I am going to clean my bedroom. I have some bags of old clothes to donate stacked on the floor. And I never put away a couple of things from the shore trip. It's only been a few weeks, right? Pfft. Out of sight, out of mind.

One thing I don't need to do is study for the Forestry Merit Badge, at least not for now. Only 2 Scouts signed up so it's postponed until December. Drat, I needed those hours. Well, on the upside, I can make it to the FP tomorrow.

Do you have any exciting and/or relaxing plans for the day?

Make it a great one, whatever you do! ♥

Good morning. I'm up and on the first cup of coffee. Glad I don't follow any stinkin' rules about :coffeescreen:. I have the twins all day and Sydney will come home after work. So the day will be a full one. But anytime it is full of family, I'm grateful! My cousin's daughter only lives a couple of miles from us now, so after she and her son went to trunk or treat last night, they stopped to see the dinosaurs in our front yard. He is 6 and I had made him a bag of give away items related to dinosaurs. A dinosaur candy bracelet, dinosaur tattoos, dinosaur egg that you get to break apart like an archaeologist with a little tool and discover the dinosaur inside, dinosaur veggie/fruit sauce. He loved it. So that was great fun for me!

Well, let me swing over to personals for a minute. Then I need to get ready for the day.
You are in your glory!! I love it! Even when we are exhausted, being with family makes it all better, doesn't it?
Please tell me you got a picture of your cousin's little man with the dinosaurs. Scott *loved* those dinosaur eggs with the toy inside.
Where did my soapbox go?!!
I took it for a while. Do you need it back or can we share?
:soapbox:

I told our kids that we will have a regular Thanksgiving and Christmas...and we will just see who else comes or how many we have.
It will be a hard set of holidays. As hard as it is for people like us to be flexible, it's the only way to roll sometimes.
Well, if the Stream Study is for the 8th graders, it's probably a good thing that your water tables are low! ;). Have a great day!
For sure! Although the water was frigid and none of the kids wanted to get too wet. If we had 5th graders, all bets would be off.

Other than that, more plans to work on bike pages and get them uploaded and ready for whenever Persnickety has a sale on that size! I have 115 pages pre-ordered for my 12x12's.
Wow!! That is a lot of pages!
Skip coffee, go for vodka :floorlaugh:
:drunk: Not a bad idea!!! :lol23:

My AJ page came to mind the moment I read your wrap up. I thought what better risk did I take that relates to the O and all Ive one. Well, AJ was it and because of all the amazing mentors there it was the best experience ever. :heartpumppink:
That makes it all worthwhile! Your words and LO really touched me. Thank you ♥

Arrived at MVD early and they were not busy so got my driver's license earlier than my appointment. dance3
Do any of you watch Abbott Elementary? This week's episode was about the teachers and Mr. Johnson making a trip to the DMV. They nailed the dismal experiment to a T. I am glad that yours was much better than theirs.:giggle4:
Mugs come in different sizes .....
Yes, they do: Large, Extra Large, and Momma Needs Reviving Large.
Turns out I have the beginnig of "fat liver"
Oh, yikes, Eva! Is this something that can be reversed?? I am glad that you caught it early but sheesh... I hope that you can find yummy foods that will help. Hugs!~~~~~~

I don't EVEN want to think about the fact that I desperately need to overhaul our bedroom!!! I have boxes and scrapbooking stuff piled high!

Glad the kids enjoyed the Stream Study!
I have that many pages on order as a pre-order. I don't have that many done....yet! ;). I will have to wait until the 8.5x11 size is on sale to order my bike pages. Right now they are $2.39/page! YIKES! I got the 12x12's for $1.49 each, which is still quite a bit! Not sure how much the 8x8's are as I also have 50 of those on pre-order from their last sale.

Good Morning,
6-month dentist appointments this morning. YUCK! I will pick Mark up from work at 9 for our appointments. Then I will drop him back off to work.

I spent the day with Ilene yesterday. We went to lunch and went back to the house to play Qwirkle. When I came home, she came with me as Mark was at the cabin in the woods and had a fire going and a table cleaned off for us to play more Qwirkle. We grabbed some hotdogs from Ilene's freezer, I grabbed some bread and mustard from my fridge, and some pita crackers. I grabbed a couple of blankets and water and we went to the woods. We listened to our evening devotion and then played 3 games of Qwirkle. I took Ilene back home around 8. It was a fun time.

This afternoon, after dentist and probably lunch, I will come back to the house and get more bike pages done. Hopefully!

Sunday afternoon after church we are heading to my son's house in Alabama for the first half of the week. Then we will come back so Mark can work on getting electricity run to the cabin from a gas-powered generator. Then we can have coffee for our gatherings! I am loving that porch on the cabin!

OK. Time to get ready for the much anticipated dentist appointment! NOT!!!

Have a great day!

Good morning. I was definitely in my glory yesterday. I really hadn't been around just the twins before...it has always been in big family gatherings...so I definitely got the opportunity to see how they interact with each other. They definitely have their own language! They are heavy though...I need to start lifting weights and getting into better shape. This is for real ladies!

Today I'm going to go watch the twins this morning from 7:30 to 9:30. Syd made it home last night and was very impressed with the dinos in the front yard. She wants spaghetti today...and of course, I want to accommodate!

I'll be back for personals later today!

Weight loss is the main thing. More fibers, less sugar. In my case, I'm suspecting it's my meds that's messing things up. 4 of my meds can effect the liver. We'll see what the doctor will say, but I'm jumping the gun and tackle my weight. I need to lose some any way.

Good job Eva. I really need to tackle my food habits. I could stand to lose 20 pounds but mainly I need to change what I eat to be healthier. Can't wait to hear how you improve this!

Good morning ladies. I am off to take Darrell shopping soon. I convinced him that he needs a pair of quick-dry pants for the trip so we'll head over to the store I always buy from that has expensive but well made outdoor gear. I know he wouldn't normally go in that store but I insisted. One good pair of those pants will last him for years. I might buy another pair of gloves too. I'm getting super excited to see the polar bears soon. What a fun trip that will be and my bestie is coming along too so that's extra fun for us, and she and Darrell get along great. He doesn't mind her traveling with us at all.

We had a lovely easy birthday dinner for me last night. I had meatballs and breaded baked pickles with hot sauce and D had shepherds pie. Then we all enjoyed chicken/cheese and beef/cheese pinwheels while we watched a movie. Very relaxing night.

I have to get going. I told D that he could get a burger to bring home from a place he likes (as an added incentive to go shopping LOL) so we want to go soon as he'll want his lunch.

HAGD everyone.
