HallloooooooooOOOOO! Where is everybody???
th

I know, everyone is on vacation or is not feeling well. But it sure is quiet in here.
The rheum appt was-- fine. All of the labwork is normal other than the one ANA marker. I think that it is going to be the same as my RA marker being elevated. Lyme left us with inflammation and that's pretty much the way it is going to be. He said to keep taking the Zyrtec and she can try to come off it again in the future.
When we were on our way home, Scott called to ask if it was ok to name her on his new life insurance policy. Dang, it's a real job! Neither Gary nor I have Life Insurance and now we are at an age we can't afford it. And he gets a pension and a 401K-- I am just over the moon happy for him. I know that "they say" you always want your kids to do better than you did -- and I know that our bar is set pretty low hahaha!- but it really is true.

I am off to get my mammo this morning. It's just a regular screening mammo so I don't have to wait to have them read it. On one hand that's good- I am 8 years past my diagnosis. OTOH, I hate waiting for the letter to get posted in MyChart for the all-clear. I am not worried but I hate how it stays in the back of my mind until I know for sure.

@Cherylndesigns Sheesh, I hope that Sam slept/behaved better for you last night. he sounds like my BFFs old cat, he was only outside but if he wanted attention or to go in/out of the bedroom and a door was closed, he would knock things off of the nightstand and dresser until she woke up.
Congrats to Braden!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dances and high 5s*
What will his major be? He has to be so relieved that he got accepted and now full-on Senoiritis can kick in LOL
Look at how freaking cute you two are! Good thing for messy buns.

xoxoxo to everyone who pops in today!

Good morning - I'm here. Hahaha We had a busy day yesterday too. We had to go to the doctor and get our meds refilled. He likes to see us at least every six months, if not sooner. Then we got our flu shot while we were there. We had to wait for so long yesterday - not like him at all, but he was super busy for some reason. He's so cool though that it's worth the wait. His name is Dr. Fell and he has a local band called "Doc Fell's" and is quite the local celeb. He's really a cool guy. He always wears his cowboy boots and jeans and is like the guy next door. We went through 3 other doctors before we found him. It's hard to find one you like when you relocate.

Chris @faerywings That's awesome news about Scott's benefits!! That's SO awesome for him - I know he knows how fortunate they are to be getting. That's going to give him a head start, for sure. Sounds like he's in a career that he can stay in and grow with. Those are a little hard to come by these days, for the young'uns. Sorry that Cait had to go back on Zyrtec - does it not agree with her? My sister has RA and she's had to take so much medication over the years - I have arthritis, but not RA. Mine's mostly in my hands, which makes it increasingly more difficult to use them. There's not much they can do for mine, medicine wise. I just take Arthritis strength tylenol to help with the pain. Fortunately, I can still type and digi scrap. Thanks for the happy dance for Braden! He has wanted to be an attorney for years and he still wants to go to law school. U of AK has a top-notch law school, that's why he wanted to get in there. I tell ya, the kid's like a tree - he seems taller every time I see him. Wasn't that picture of the two of us so funny? He was all dressed up because he'd just ridden in the Homecoming Parade on the back of a convertible with one of the princesses. He looks so cute in his suit and cowboy boots and hat. He's really embraced the cowboy life. Anyway, I had to laugh at my messy bun - it only comes to his shoulder.

I just remembered that you asked for a picture of Daisy looking out the window for Lila. I took it for you but never posted it.

I love that our windows are so low. She loves standing in them and looking out at "her kingdom". LOL See that raggedy scratching post sitting beside her? That's our cat's and he obviously loves it. BTW, he was a good boy last night - no shenanigans - he actually went back out right before I got in bed and disappeared into the night, to do his "night things". LOL about your BFF's cat - Sam does the same thing when he can't go out. He starts knocking things over. They must be distant relatives. Hahaha Fortunately, it wasn't as cold last night.

Good luck today - I hope it's fast and you get your report fast. I hate to wait too. That's the hardest part. Sending you "patience hugs".

XOXO

Good morning ladies. We hate coming back to Vancouver, it’s too noisy, too busy and there is none of the relaxed happy vibe of Kamloops. We’ll be happy to get home tomorrow. But we had fun at the casino, had a fantastic meal at the Keg restaurant and are looking forward to the concert tonight. Looks like the dogs are happy at the kennel, judging from the pics they have been sending.

Cutting my chatting down to a minimum because it’s a PITA to type on my iPad. I’ll check in when I get home.

Today I have been sooooooooo lazy. Slept til 10, when I woke by dreaming I fell out of the window. Sat up so fast, I scared the poor cat, who fled. Basically, I have been sitting in the sofa all day, playing phone games. Still am, it's 7pm now. Working 4 days in a row is not my thing. LOL

Tomorrow I have to pack & fix everything, Sunday morning we are leaving for Vadstena. I have had a change of thought. I will bring my computer, and do some genealogy research myself. Even though I have nothing to get at the archive we're going to (it's for the Southern parts of Sweden & I have my roots in the middle parts of Sweden), I can still use their wifi & and use the on-line archive that we subscribe to, and get some research done. Mainly, I plan to get some structure and organization done of my ancestors. Feel I need a proper overview done.

Now, we are going to have some snacks, candy and a crappy movie & rest my brain.

Good afternoon. We are currently heading toward Oklahoma City. We stopped to spend the night with old friends in Bella Vista, Arkansas. They are 77 and 76 years old and we hadn’t seen them for five years. We had the best time just relaxing.
While we were on the way to Bella Vista, my cousin’s wife texted. They bought a lake house this summer and they are down on Table Rock Lake working on it now. They asked if we had time to stop in so we did last night. Weather was beautiful so they took us out on the boat and we had the best time. My cousin will be 70 next month. He and his wife have both been retired for 6 years. It was so great to just sit and catch up.
Now we are on the way to OKC. Going to hang out with my uncle and aunt and younger cousin. She is only 53 so there will be a youth movement about. Then we will head to Iowa for a few days.
First time I have ever traveled without a real plan. Sydney has been texting along the way. Last night we were sitting around visiting and I got a text from Sydney asking what I was doing. I told her visiting and she responded with “Is that all elderly people with adult children do?”
Totally cracked us all up. I’m on my phone so I really am challenged to keep up. If we have a couple of days at the hotel, I’ll get my laptop out and do some catching up with personals.
Have a great weekend all.
