How are the O-zie-O's today?
Me, hoo boy, I am *tired.* It has been a long week, and everyone is still cranky and I just want to hide.

I got a couple of other things done from my to-do list, one of them was picking out some new recipes I want to try for Faery-Wings. Somehow, I let Caitlyn talk me into doing a Craft Fair in December. This was over the summer and I guess i thought that I would be feeling better by Dec. Now that it is less than 2 months away, I am freaked out!
But I have the products I want to make selected, next is to order the ingredients/packaging, then tweak them to the way I like, and then start cooking them up. Cait is promising to help me, and if she doesn't I am going to make some lotion with itching powder in it , just for her.
(JK, I wouldn't really do that!!!)

Jaida and I are working together much better, which is a huge relief. It was nice to get outside with her for a bit and have a successful (for the most part at least) training session.

Today I have to call the Social Services Dept of my county. Because Gary is disabled, we get a small amount of money to put towards our heating bill. I started this app. process months ago, but they need more proof of income, Scott's FT student status, etc. Yesterday, I got another notice in the mail requesting documentation of income for me. They want Social Security Award letter from me. Except that as soon as Cait turned 16, I lost my SS benefits, so I don't *have* an awards letter. (here we go again, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!)
That is on my list of what I have to do today- call them (please, no On Hold Music!) to let them know this and ask if my notice of my cancelling of benefits from 2014 will count. I don't know how else to give them something that does not exist.
:noidea:

Fellow USA citizens- please keep my stories in mind when you hear politicians talk about how easy it is to get assistance, that anyone and everyone gets free handouts etc. Not saying that you have to give up support of them, just to tuck this in the back of your minds and take the freeloader comments with a grain of salt.

So on that note, I am going to post this and get Caitlyn off to the bus.
xoxoxo!!

daaaaw! Look at those cutie pie pics!!! If anyone wants to add any other pics/cartoons to this thread, that is always fun.
I wish I had saved a pic from FB-- someone has posted the meme of the Swedish Chef yesterday that was hysterical! If I find it I will share it here.

Yes, I am back and am very relieved that I have a bit of extra time this morning. I was supposed to go down to BJs warehouse to get more dog food this morning. Cait asked if Gary will take her out driving today and to the Dollar Store. BJs is only a little more than 5 minutes past that so he is going to pick her up from school, and then run those errands. OMG- I cannot express how happy that makes me! That is pretty darn pathetic, isn't it?

Nancy- I bet you have been getting lots of walks in this week, it has been so nice outside, as long as you stay in the sun- at least for me, that is. I re-potted a basil plant, and snagged some thyme and oregano to bring inside for the winter, I hope that they all do ok.
How in the world are you going to be able to split your time between the b-ball and hockey games? :D:D
Thank you so much for saying that i am not a grouch. You are right, it hurts me when other people are sad.

Trudy- ITA with Nancy- I saw the pumpkin LO on FB-- soooo darn cute!!!!
Congrats on selling the gym! That didn't take long at all! Hope that your Gary is A-OK with taking it all apart.
Yesterday was good, no insurance woes, but like I said, now I need to deal with Social Services for the Heating Assistance today. I'll take a triple shot of Bailey's if you have it ;) WTG on using flippers, your legs are going to be strong! Were they sore afterwards? I hope that I get photos from you if we do the photo swap challenge, I need some new ones to work with for sure.

Jean- The leaves in the sunshine are very pretty. There are a LOT of acorns being dropped here. I know there is an old wives tale about a lot of acorns meaning a really cold winter. I hope that it is not true. Thank you too for saying that I am not a grouch, I am Grumpy however!

Claire- that must be such a relief to have someone be able to take it in stride when someone needs to retreat and have their space. I am sure it makes a world of difference to Robbie and will make it much easier the next time you go back. Enjoy your lunch today!

Hope you all have nice day today!

good morning - yesterday was lovely outside and got in a nice walk. But the best is the Mets won! They defeated the Dodgers 3-2. It was so exciting! But tense for the 6th inning on with only a one run lead. But the Mets pitching came through. Today is a NJ Devils home game so excited though we the opponent the Sharks I am not counting on a win.

Chris love the cute animal photos! Ashley and Rex and coming up for the weekend so it will be fun to see Rex. We now have good fencing so I don't worry about him going into neighbors yards. Rex is so good just shows Chris that if you continue you work with Jaida you will be rewarded! Hope the phone calls are successful. Have fun with the preparation for the craft's fair.

Trudy impressive your swimming! You and Sharron just amaze me with all this swimming. I am such a desert girl that I really don't like that feeling. Even after all the time I have spent away from the desert I still don't like being wet! It is weird!

Jean thanks for the nice things about my trip pages. Doing them makes me remember how much fun I had. I am sure your genealogy studies give you the same pleasure. Being retired it so fun when you find that passion.

Claire your lunch out sounds lovely. Visiting girlfriends is the best. Glad things went well with Robbie!

Have a great day all!

Morning O-ladies!! No fog here this morning for a change, it is supposed to be a lovely fall day, so I hope to get outside for a bit this morning. Grocery trip and a bit of a walk on the agenda today. What a boring life I lead!! :bored:

Chris - I bet your house will smell amazing when you get to cooking all of your Faery-wings products!! Sure hope Cait gives you a hand with the prep!! Thanks for the cute pics, yes how could you not smile when looking at those!! Here are a couple more for you...

Hope they bring a smile to your face today also! Good luck with the SS people today, Heather also goes through some horrible times with her ODSP (Ontario Disability) they give money then take it away, it is just insane sometimes!! Not sure how they expect anyone to live on the pittance that they give her. Thanks for the nice words on my pumpkin layout! I hope that we can swap some photos if that challenge happens too! My legs were not sore after the swim with the flippers, but I don't use them too much just for a couple of laps, it will work into more laps as I go. I find that my one foot cramps when I use them, so not sure what that is all about? :noidea: I would love to see that Swedish Chef thing if you find it. Hope you have a great day today!

Nancy - You are having such great weather for walking lately! Bet you enjoyed your day filled with baseball and now today your Devil's will entertain you! Hope they win for you! Laughed when you said that you would be happy to see Rex! Will you not be happy to see Ashley?? LOL I know that you will! I guess I love swimming so much, because it was all that we did in the summer as a kid, we lived in the water and most of us lived right on the lake front, it was just a way of life for us. That and the fact that most of winter we were soaking wet from the rain :becky:

Jean - How nice that your genealogy gives you such pleasure!! Hope that today will be enjoyable for you also! Glad to hear you will be cheering for the Jays!!

Claire - Isn't it great that Robbie's new teacher is so good with him! I am sure he will warm up to her and be very happy! Enjoy your visit and lunch with your friend today!

 Hi Sharron, hope that you are enjoying the beautiful weather, perhaps you are golfing today? Looks like we are in for rain for the weekend though.

Ok I best get another cup of coffee and get busy making my grocery list. Hopefully I will get back to getting my Auzzie calendars done. Have a great Friday everyone!!

Goodness, where was I today? Only got here a bit ago and am charmed by the cutie-pie photos!

I'm not as aggravated as I might be, but it is a bummer that Amazon sent me the wrong item - THREE times this week! The reason is that it is mislabeled. Finally figured out how to navigate their website to speak to a person. They're taking it off the website while it gets investigated. Somehow a whole batch of one thing got labeled as another. Still have to run to the UPS store to return the 2nd and 3rd errors, but it's on them. Now I have to settle for a refund but it's something I wanted to take to my genealogy meeting tomorrow!

Chris, thanks for all the pix! Hope your day was better and things get straightened out. Great that Gary and Cait can run an errand for you. And it's true, the house will soon be smelling of the magic of faery-wings!

Nancy, uh-oh! It sounds like O-zzies are cheering on the Blue Jays and the Mets, but no way I can go against the Cubbies. I can't take any of it too seriously without my team in it. Have fun with the guests including Rex.

And Trudy, the pup is just such a winner! Thanks for both of them. Hope the day stayed nice and the Jays do well tonight.

Belated Hi to all.
