*yawns* I am not liking the short and darker days. Already counting to Dec 22 when that starts going in the opposite direction.

I have an official announcement from Scott for all of you:
He gets home yesterday afternoon and I "casually" ask him how the date went. He said Fine. I asked him how the talk went after it. "Fine." I ask, So it is official? He says "Yes you can tell all of your Oscraps friends it's official." :D
He knows me too well. It's just very exciting. ♥

Cleaning was fine except that my friend forgot that I was coming and didn't leave any money. Cash is getting really low here but I have enough to cover my haircut today. My nails look nice-- a pretty purple to match my skirt. I love the gel kit that Caitlyn got me for my birthday. They always look nice and smooth and I can't mess them up like I always do with regular polish. Sitting still and waiting for them to dry and harden up was next to impossible for me. There is still no news about Scott's job, but they better figure it out. His boss said that he is supposed to start on Monday. *shrugs*

I am going to have the hair stylist blow my hair out straight today. My plan is to see if I can keep it dry enough that it doesn't curl or frizz before the party. The odds aren't great but maybe it will be ok.

Have a fun day, my dears!

@LSlycord Oh wow, another interview! Good luck! How did the prep go yesterday? It is for a position that you will enjoy?
Is the apt Syd is looking at on-campus or off? I hope that she and her friends find somewhere safe and affordable.
*jealous of your iPhone camera* Can't wait to see the pics you take

@vickyday How many people go to the conference? It must be a big event.
Uh-oh, don't get me started about food shopping, I hate it. Haaaaaate it. I swear, the $5 online shopping fee is totally worth it for me if I don't have to step into the store.
I get teary when good things happen to my kids, but Scott and Sam getting together is really amazing. They both went through such a horrible experience with their exes and it's pretty incredible that they ended up together. ♥

@tanteva Ugh, are you feeling any better today? Hope so.

@Cherylndesigns whew, if your kookiness was at 50% yesterday, you should be closer to 90% today? Sometimes, cleaning helps me since when the house is a mess, my mind is a mess.
Cait worked on party prep yesterday and I finished up the Bingo cards for her, yes-- she is getting excited. Me too.
LOL at the ketchup smilies!!

@bcgal00 Happy Anniversary! Poor Bella, she had so many changes too. Is she in a crate when J leaves? BTDT with dogs and separation anxiety.
You are so sweet always when it comes to my kids. Thank you xo. I think/hope that because of the s*** that he and Sam went through, they will treasure each other. That's so exciting, Elton and then a new telescope. Always nice top have things top look forward too

Vicky that is such a sweet story about you and Mark. You and Rae/Darrell too. Sometimes things happen for a reason and you end up with the person you need to be with. I wasn't supposed to be anywhere near Gary the night we met. Not to mention, I had sworn off dating 100%. And here we are!

Good morning! @faerywings I just about spit out my coffee when I read what Scott said about telling your Oscraps friends!

Yesterday was a long day. We got to Gainesville in time for lunch so we took Syd to the Cheesecake Factory. She got lots of leftovers to take home so that was a good outing. Then we started the apartment search. That town is crazy with apartments....we looked at 5 and she has her top 2 but now she needs to tour with the group of girls that she is going to be rooming with. Because Syd has a car, we need to consider that. One of the places, the price to park the car was $250. That was immediately removed from the list.

By the time that we got home, I didn't feel like going to the AT&T store so I'm saving that for this morning. Still haven't quite figured out when we are leaving. Honestly, the thought of driving day after day just about took it all out of me. Brian and I talked about how aggressive the drivers were...semis and cars alike. At first, I was blaming it on the fact that we don't drive that much anymore. But I finally realized that the interstate is just a microcosm of our very angry world. It made me really sad.

Today, I'm going to scrap a layout. The kind that really isn't my style at all. One of those artsy pages like Anna Aspnes' team does so well. We will see how that turns out for me!

Thanks @faerywings feeling a bit better, but not 100%. Gotta fix the litter boxes for the cats today, no matter how I feel. Otherwise someone will call the police on me. LOL

Good morning my lovelies.

I'm cracking up over what Scott said - I say TO TEAM SAM!!! They all know that we share about everything, don't they??? My family does, too. You're "Aunt Chris" around here. LOL Good luck with keeping your hair straigh until tomorrow night. However, when the hairdresser straightens it, mine stays pretty straight. When I straighten it, I always miss a hunk right in the back. BWAHAHA Every time! Be careful in the shower - that's what usually gets mine. Maybe you could take a bath instead Your nails sound so pretty and I'm like you - I can never sit still long enough to let them dry. I used a fast dry product called elle +mila "In A Flash" from Amazon, when I do (occasionally) my nails. Sometimes I just put that on bare nails to give them a shine. It's the fastest drying stuff I've ever used. it dries while you're applying it. LOL

Linda @LSlycord I love your analogy of the interstates it's so trye. I say that about life in general these days. "A world gone mad". I'm so glad we live in Podunk Center with a bunch of farmers. When we DO have to go out on the expressways, it's not that bad here. When I was planning on coming to Ft. Myers a couple of months ago, Chuck was very uneasy about me driving there again.

I thought all day yesterday that it was Friday, so today is Saturday. Hahaha I'm glad it's only Friday, though. I even said Casey was coming to clean and duh she's coming today. #dk

Eva, @tanteva you don't sound good - here - pour some ketchup on whatever you're going to eat - that will surely make you feel better. healthy-ketchup-bottle_gg65703496.jpg

On that note, I'm outta here. Need to go get some more tea and get my day started.

Good morning ladies. We had a fun time yesterday, getting out for a drive down a long back road to a very small town I haven't been to yet. I saw more hawks and eagles in that drive than I have ever seen in one day. We found a nice diner and had lunch before coming back. The dogs loved the trip, new smells everywhere. Remi sticks her front paws and head out the side window, sniffing away at the blowing wind, earing flapping, as we drive. I should get a pic of her doing this to scrap with. I'm going for a walk along the water this afternoon with the dogs and still haven't made the blueberry muffins so I am going to get them done today. I don't know why I keep procrastinating LOL.

@faerywings Had a laugh about Scott saying it was ok to let us know the status of his relationship LOL. We are like extended family :)

@LSlycord I hate busy traffic too. Driving into Vancouver now is like a nightmare. It makes us irritated and stressed. I'm happy being out here in our smaller city with much less traffic problems.

Remi is talking to me, wants me to lay on the floor for dog play (my stretching). I'd better go.

Good afternoon!
I've been up since 6 a.m. scanning more photos! Every time I think I'm about done I find more! OY VEY!

Took a break from the scanning for about an hour or so and took a walk down in the woods. Took lots of pictures. Got hit with a falling acorn! Took some selfies so I could change my avatar. Now I need to clean up the kitchen since the fairies are apparently on strike, LOL!

@faerywings I giggled at Scott's comment about informing us it's official! Congrats to him and Sam! I wish them the best!
Yes, the conference is big. Lots of different sessions to choose from! There are always 2 going on at the same time that you wish you could be in both! Our motorcycle friends at church (the pastor and his wife), and 3 other couples we associate with are going, which is nice. The conference breaks in the afternoon so you can go to supper, so the group of us always go together. It is a jolly good time! Then there is an evening preaching session and then you are dismissed for the evening. We don't usually do anything afterwards, however, but go to our hotels. We are pretty bushed by that time.
I order my groceries on line and pick it up every once in awhile. But, I don't like the produce "they" pick out! And it drives me nuts when they don't have the items that are on sale! I even went early the last time to see for myself that the items were actually not there or if the shopper was just being lazy or whatever! It was a bittersweet discovery that the items were in fact not there! GRRR!

@LSlycord I agree with you on the traffic! We do live in an angry world! Scary!

@tanteva Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better!

Have a good evening!

@faerywings yes, the apartments are all off campus. All within walking distance, although her number 1 is probably the bus since it stops at both ends of the complex. What a lot of fun and exciting things Cait has going on right now...and Scott too! I do think that I would like this job...anxious to talk to the people because then I'll have a better idea. But the money is good and the benefits are good...so that's a lot right now.

@vickyday the Bible conference sounds pretty amazing! I always love those...come back feeling so filled up, if that makes sense. And I agree with you and @faerywings, I just hate going to the grocery store and Kroger has just started delivering to our neighborhood so I think that I'm going to give them a try!

@tanteva sorry that you got sick! Hoping that you feel better soon!

@Cherylndesigns the apartment search was fun. Each complex had a model for us to look at. And since they all come furnished, looking at the model gave you a pretty good idea of what it would look like.

@bcgal00 sorry about Jen's tooth. That's a bummer...one of the most difficult things about moving in my opinion is having to find all new doctors.
