So yeah. It's Friday. That's a good thing, right?
I think it is.
Professional Worrier Faery is ready to report for duty. *salutes*
My day started fine. Then I got slammed with two bits of news that threw me for a loop.
I called my parents and my dad gave me the details of what was up with his health. The urologist is testing him for bladder cancer. It wasn't urea in the blood, he had blood in his urine. The CT scan was looking to see where anything bad is located in the bladder. He goes in for a biopsy as soon as it's scheduled. The Dr said that radiation therapy for prostate cancer could increase the risk of bladder cancer. I am hoping that since he sees the urologist regularly (not sure if it is every 6 months or 12, but I think it is 6), it's been caught early-- if that is what the biopsy shows.
That's all I know about it. I did a very quick search just to see what bladder cancer entails but didn't dwell too much. I am trying not to get ahead of myself so I stopped. I hope I can stay strong with that, but you know me, a professional worrier. I need to ask WWC(Cheryl)D? and then try the opposite LOL (Just teasing Cheryl!)
Right after that, I got the notice that I am no longer eligible for state-funded health insurance. I knew that was going to happen, but my plan will terminated at the end of this month. There won't be enough time to get an appt for a physical. I am all caught up with my Rxs so there is at least that. I looked to see what new plans I can get through the NJ Marketplace and I think I found one that I can afford the premiums. But when I tried to register for an account, I needed an access code. Which--naturally- I don't have. Naturally. How do I get an access code? Not. A. Clue.
Thankfully, I was able to put that aside when the 4 of us had dinner and decorated. At one point, the kids were fake fighting and yelling at each other. I looked at Gary and asked, "Is this really what we are missing?" hahaha!
My plan for today is to hike. Not sure if Gary will be up to come with me. Not sure if I need to be alone. I want to get some of the outside decorations up too. I have little spider lights to hang but I need to be careful to not bother the real spiders who have some very impressive webs on the patio.
HAGD!
