O hellllooooOOOO and happy Friday!! It is my hair cut and color day! I am really excited to do something about this gray. The past year, the grays are taking over the brown. Between the fried bleached ends, the really dark brown roots and the threads of gray (can I call them Faery Lights? LOL) it is a mess to the zillionth degree. It will also be really awesome to brush my hair and not have it crackle and break.

Hooo boy, I was busy yesterday. I started a batch of dog soaps, an oatmeal base with an odor neutralizer fragrance. Then a batch of a clarifying face mask with sea clay and activated charcoal and tea tree oil. Last was a bit more complicated- an in-shower moisturizer, like Olay makes. But I think it is going to be perfect for winter skin. There was a bit left over after I measured it into all of the bottles and I am going to try it today on my dry legs. One thing I detest about moisturizing after my shower is that it is cold and having to wait for it to soak in before I get dressed and then I am freezing and angry. This you apply in the shower, then rinse and dry off.

This afternoon I am going to see if Cait wants to help me seal the face mask into the little packets because that is going to be boring and time-consuming. but I feel that I am off to a good start. :)

However, I am totally behind on scrapping and posting challenge pages.
That is on my To-Do list for this morning. I really need a better way of scheduling my time so my days don't totally get lost on me.

Any suggestions? I have even gotten out of touch on my to-do list/planner. I used to be vigilant on that. Now I am just lazy and flying by the seat of my pants.
Who relates to that? :p

I am going to post this, get to the personals, and then the shower- can't wait to try the moisturizer!

Hugs!!!!!! Coffee!!!!!!!!!!!

I am cracking up at my post from yesterday. I never made it into the attic. Nor did I look for hair colors/styles. See what I mean about needing a better way of doing things???? That *has* to be an app for that :pound:

One good thing is that Gary made dinner last night. I didn;t want to ask him in the morning, he was throwing up for hours. But since he felt better in the afternoon I asked him to cook his caramelized onion and garlic pasta. After being in the kitchen for hours, the last thing I wanted to do was cook "food." Poor guy burned the first batch of onions. The recipe says to cook them over Med-High heat which is ridiculous if you are trying to caramelize them. So he had to toss them and start over. But is was yummy!

None of our TV shows had recorded the last few nights, other than American Horror Story. Nothing on CBS was new the last 2 days and I guess the baseball games were on NBC so we had nothing there either. We had been watching a new Netflix series, Glitch. Rae, I think you would like it. But that was only 6 (maybe 8) episodes so we ran out of that quickly. It is about people who come back from the dead, but not as zombies, but as healthy people as they were IRL.

PS: It is Australian and I adore that accent!

On to personals:

Nancy- isn;t is crazy to think of dogs as being anxious sometimes. You wouldn;t think that training classes would do it. I was always surprised when Jaida's trainer would point out her body language that she was stressed. Luther is going to do great by the end of it. How was the session with you and DS?
Since all of my dogs have been mutts, or I should say "mixed breeds" hehe! I love hearing how different breeds behave too. Both J and R are Lab mixes, however, that breed presents itself so differently in each. Toss in J's pit bullishness which seems to be dominant, where R Lab genes are dominant in her, it is kind of fascinating. Luther seems crazy smart so I am sure he will respond well to you.

Is it a sign of getting older that we prefer the bed to ourselves, Trudy? I seem to sleep better when Gray is on the couch. That could be to the fact that the bed isn't big enough for me, him, two dogs and one very fat cat. Perhaps. LOL
Hope that you slept better last night. Yikes, that is a crazy dream! Scott has a weird dream last night too- that he was at the CMA awards, which if you know him, Country Music isn't played in this house. At all. heh!
But yes, you are right, you have to let that anger go. I try to tell my mom that all of the time. It does you no good. Easier said than done...
Ugh about your vertigo, was there anything that helped the last time, or was it something that just needed time to go away?

Hugs to you about Auntie. So sad :(

Rae- oh no, it is killing me to hear that you are so sick still. As someone who lives with brain fog on a daily basis, I get how hard it can be to work accurately and efficiently.
Go Taz!! Olympic Gymnastic Team for sure! That is so awesome that he and Ava will play so good together. One less thing you need to worry about too- they will keep each other occupied.
I have always gotten highlights. II am too lazy to do a full upkeep on solid color. Not to mention I like to go lighter which is something you can't really do with long, dark hair.
hahaha!!!! That Taz is too smart for his own good!!! :pupkiss:
Jaida does this front paws jump when she wants my attention (or the cats). She stands on her back legs then pounces down. Over and over.

Jean- There is always next year for your team. *fingers crossed for you*
I saw the LO of the cat. I recognized that glare straight off. Floyd looks a lot like him and has that same glare. He is a pretty cat, but whoa man, he is mean when he wants to be.
Enjoy your day!

Good Morning ladies and T.G.I.F.! Although that means that I will probably be busy most of the weekend cleaning up the mess from the last wind storm. Oh well it will be good to be outside! This morning the sunrise is spectacular with beautiful shades of peach, pink and orange all showing through a light fog. Just stunning! Today is also my hair cut and colour day!! Hooray Chris, won't it be nice to feel like a new woman with soft coloured hair and no more grey!! I worked most of the afternoon getting a page done for the new Anna Release, this APP is a stunner of gorgeous papers and colours!! I just loved working with it! But oh my I am such a slow scrapper! Still working on only the 2nd page of my calendar and you would think that by now I would be at least half done!! :mmph:

Chris - If you find a better way to schedule your time, would you please, please share it with me!! I find that after I am done with my lap swimming and get back home I am frantically running around like a chicken with no head to get everything done that I should have had done in the morning. :gaah: where does the time go?? I was much better organized when I was working and had the kids to run all over hell's half acre. :becky:

I will end this here and come back later on this afternoon to catch up with everyone else. I need to get dressed and out the door as my appt for my hair is an early one for change. Have a lovely morning ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. Yes, Trudy....TGIF! I will have a busy wkend as I am behind in work, scrapping and editing but at least there will be no dog walking and no bosses calling me on the phone for stuff. I'm in this weird limbo of not coughing or blowing my nose as much but there is still congestion in my upper lungs, my head is foggy and I'm just worn out. I'm so tired I have no energy and just push thru to keep going when all I want to do is lay down. I tried to sit at the computer in the LR last night but after five minutes just went back to my chair and snuggled up. I hate having no motivation or energy. Hope I perk up soon.

Chris - I tried to search for a torrent for that show but couldn't find anything. We watched the last two episodes of Chicago Fire last night. I always enjoy that show. I am going to find a couple of crockpot recipes to make this weekend and make enough for a few meals to lessen my time in the kitchen. While being sick, I am even less motivated to be in the kitchen and cook. I think I have chicken and bacon in the freezer so will start with that. I think I'll make a big batch of spaghetti sauce over the wkend too.

Trudy - enjoy your trip to the hairdresser. I'm due soon too, at least some time before Xmas. Sounds like so much fun to work with Anna's stuff. You might be slow but your pages are beautiful!

I'm getting out of here so I can get an early start on work since I'm so far behind (my brain is sluggish and foggy so my work is progressing slower than usual and I'm falling behind). My bosses know I'm sick so they are being considerate, thankfully. Ok, ladies....I'm outta here...have a great day, everyone.

good late morning - My Devils lost in OT but I am thrilled as twice they came back from being behind by 2 goals. My team had not played since Sat so they seemed a bit out of sync. They play Sat and Sun so I am hoping for better results then. Had a great talk with my sister this morning which is why I am late here. She laughed at my Luther stories and Joe mishaps. He is still limping. I am off now to do training!

Chris wow that is a lot of time in the kitchen and I wouldn't want to cook either. Hope the packaging goes well and bet Cait will help.

Trudy and Chris enjoy the cut and color and have fun looking like a new woman! and I love sleeping by myself. I sleep so much better.

Trudy sorry the vertigo was back and Rae get over being sick!

Love the Taz stories. Today Luther got to have play time with Bella and Puppy on his early morning walk which I am now doing since my DH can't. Well dawn is a beautiful time to go! It was so quiet and the birds were just starting to awaken and sing. It was beautiful.

Trudy hope the radiation goes well for your Aunt!

Jean how funny for the cat not liking you. My sister has a cat that hisses at most people but never at me. Too funny how they see people. Maybe I look or smell like my sister so I am not a threat.

Have a good day all!

Afternoon all. Mostly quiet day today. DH did his weekly bird survey early this AM (while I was sleeping!) and we're meeting someone briefly this afternoon. Still coming down from the baseball high. Cavs have won their first 5 games, but the Monsters (AHL hockey) after winning first 3 have lost 6 straight.

Chris and Trudy, hope your refreshed looks have made you happy. I just stay gray and whatever my hair feels like doing, but imagine you get a boost from it and probably don't look as old as I do (of course you're younger in fact too!) Actually I like to say my hair is silver.

Nancy, so many interesting dog stories here. Luther will certainly be a star after training.

Rae, just still sending good vibes in hopes you'll really feel better.
