#sleeping <~ what I wish I was doing since I didn't sleep so great last night

#doctor<~ where I wish I was since I am sore and achy allll over LOL

#cry<~ what I am doing instead

ooooh boy, when I start "deep cleaning mode," there ain't no stopping me. Even when I should have stopped a long time earlier. I am feeling it today. But my staircase is clean (until one of them spills coffee again. Or Scott comes in from work and tracks mud. Or a dog sheds *G*). My picture window is crystal clear (until the dogs bark at it as the UPS/Amazon/FedEx trucks drive past. Or a person walking their dog walks by, Or they see a squirrel. Or there is nothing at all but they are compelled to bark and slobber on it anyway). My kitchen floor is scrubbed and mopped (until--- well, you get the picture!:D:D:D)
I even scrubbed the grout behind the toilet bowl. That has a better chance of staying clean for more than 5 minutes than the rest.

Even though I am stiff and sore I feel pretty good, like I actually accomplished something. My plan for today is to clean all of the stuff on top of the kitchen cabinets. I wish I could go back in time and find out why I thought it made more sense to have a place for tchotchkes on the cabinets rather than have the cabinets go to the ceiling. Why would I do that???? That is a few times a year project. I did it relatively recently- over the summer- but as long as I am still in "deep clean mode" I'll get it done one more time.

Other than cleaning, I did some more crochet, made delish BBQ pork grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, and played with my baby girls (rats). Annnnd-- a huge load of laundry. No wonder I am tired.

I think the only house thing I am going to do is the cabinets and then relax the rest of the day. I am really behind on scrapping so that should be a goal.

What goals do you have for today?

@BrightEyes Ugh about waking up at 4.30 and not being able to get back to sleep. Even "more ugh" when it is that cold outside. :( How did you do with the errands yesterday, get everything done that you needed to? Oh jeez-- that is awful that DD#3 grandson has RSV! Poor baby :( Sam's nephew (5 months old) was at the ER last week, it was Covid, not RSV and they were *relieved* about that. RSV can be so scary. I hope that they all stay/get healthy quickly. Good healing throughts~~~~

@vickyday I'll try to get a pic of the shawl to share today :)
It has to be awful to have something really yummy to eat and know that if you push your stomach you will pay for it. I hope the diabetes meds work well for Mark. I am worried about my brother. He has Type 2 and looks like he is gaining, not losing. I don't know what meds he takes but whatever it is, I don't think it's working.
Good luck getting the bucket hat done for DGD. You must crochet really fast.

@LSlycord eep-- 48* must feel like deep freeze to you, but I'd take that over 25* and snow too. Oh no, that would not be good if the cyst came back... but Shaun's Dr sounds like he is very good so if you have faith in him, I will too.
And huge hugs to Syd too. I am so happy that she knows to call/Facetime you just to be there. You are such an amazing mom and support.
Your 2-day Christmas sounds a lot like ours. Christmas Eve is always at my mom's and Santa comes on the fire engine, the stop is at our driveway. We all go out for that-- every year since I was 5 (minus 2020). Last year my BFF and family weren't there and I made a paper-plate Jenn for the group pictures haha!! Then Christmas Day is here. Just the 4 of us in the morning, then the family comes up for dinner/appetizers and cookies
This year will be different for sure, but we'll make the best of it. ♥

@bcgal00 It's probably a good thing for Jen to be working through Christmas, make it feel very different for her this year. My heart breaks for you all. (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))
Here I am blabbering that Scott is working on Christmas Eve- I am sorry if that comes across as callous. I don't mean it to be.:(
The muffins discussion has been since the summer?? That's so funny!
haha, Remi is a bossy baby, good thing she is adorable :)

@Cherylndesigns I bet it felt amazing to get out for a walk in the sunshine. It had to be nice to walk where it's flat too.
It has to be a good sign that Steph is wishing for malts. Great that she is feeling better every day.
Pfft. Steph goes to bed earlier than you?? *Everyone* goes to bed earlier than you bwuahahah!! get that scrap time in now, you know that Asher is gonna keep you busy

Love to you all

Wow, @faerywings ... I am tired just reading about what all you did yesterday!!!

Yes, I am back to waking up early again... not sure why..... DUH!!! Forgot about the time change... so 5 AM now is 6AM on daylight savings time!!! #crazyThat was my regular time to wake up.

Yes, I managed to get all my errands done yesterday - even with a heart-stopping scare. I tucked an envelope for the phone/internet bill in my purse and off I went to do the errands. Picked up a few books at the Senior Citizen Center then stopped at grocery store for a few last minute items. When I got to the Post Office, I realized that the bill envelope was missing from my purse!!!! Since the PO and the public library shared the same block, I dashed in there and picked up the 5 books I had on reserve. Then drove back to the grocery store - and talked to the cashier who had checked me out. YES - she had the envelope at her register! What a relief. Back to the PO to drop it off.

I am finishing up the laundry this morning. Decided to wait until Sis is here to change the sheets on my bed. I will get her to help me rotate the mattress - which I usually do twice a year. I can feel the dip in it as it hasn't been rotated for a year so it needs to be done. I am really happy - got the shipping notices and my books should be here on Nov 23rd... earlier than I thought! And got a notice that I had enough points to get a free book. Debating between 2 books I want to add to my collection.

Good morning. Quick in and out for me. Sydney and Jianna will be here Monday night since both of them had their classes for Tuesday canceled. Syd seemed in much better spirits yesterday. She and Jianna made orange chicken last night and it looked delicious. She said that she also took a nap and didn't do laundry...decided to bring it home. Only one class yesterday so I think she just needed some rest. She said that a few of them were talking about meeting up in Tampa for a day over Christmas break and then maybe a spring break trip of some kind. She seemed a little anxious, asking me about that. But, let's face it, her mama loves travel. One of the things that I always said that I hoped to be able to do was create a love of travel for both of my kids. And this shows me that I have been successful. I told her that my only requirement is that she MUST have a solid plan before she travels.

I think we are going to do a Costco run this afternoon after Shaun is finished with classes. Between spending a good chunk of time tomorrow with Shaun at cooking class and then a good chunk of time with Sydney on Sunday with cooking class, I need a solid plan for how we are going to get everything done before the girls get here Monday night.

I'll be back later today for personals.

I got the hat done. I used the same yarn as the first one, just a different color, but this one turned out bigger for some reason. However the yarn does seem to be thicker so that is probably the reason. It will probably be too big for her and I will have to keep it, DARN the luck, LOL! The pattern is easy, just a lot of counting. It is done in rounds (one continuous row, basically). The final stitch count is 126 stitches, all single crochet, so very easy. And NO SEAMING! ;)

BOTH of my husbands (Tim was and Mark is) trip planners! I just go along for the ride, LOL! As long as it calls for eating out, I'm good, lol!

Good morning!
Not much in the works today. I fixed one of the turkeys I got at the grocery store last week for supper last night, so I still have those dishes to take care of. Mark graciously pulled all of the meat off the bones before bed last night and took care of the leftovers putting them away. I did not even realize he was doing so. When I thanked him this morning he said it was the least he could do since I fixed such a good meal, LOL! He was my kitchen fairy last night.....except the dishes are still there, lol!
I need to start putting some of the boxes away from my scanning bonanza. I've still got more scanning to do, but it will have to wait. I'm tired of the job, LOL!
We are going to a basketball game my grandson is playing in tonight. That's really the only other thing happening today. Mark is in the woods working on the cabin. He decided to stay home instead of go to the shop today. He is pretty much caught up on his job. That might mean less hours for him now.
Have a great Friday!

Good morning ladies. Visited with friends yesterday and then relaxed last night, catching up on some NCIS episodes. Today I'll be out running errands. We'll go to the dog park later. It'll be a quiet day. I've got some wraps so might make chicken caesar wraps for dinner. I want to make a veggie cauliflower stir fry to have as a side dish for the next few days. Got the car washed yesterday so today I'll wipe out the inside.

@faerywings Sounds like you got a lot done yesterday so its a good idea to take it easy today, not do too much. Definitely don't think you griping about Scott working is callous, of course it is not.

@BrightEyes That's great that your books will be here soon and you get a free one.

@LSlycord Sounds like you'll be busy for a bit but in a good way.

@vickyday Have fun at the basketball game later.

I'm going to go do my floor stretches (Remi play time lol), get dressed and get on with things. HAGD everyone.

Yes, Asher will keep me busy. He's my stay up late buddy. LOL that "everybody" goes to bed earlier than me - SO true, SO true. The last night he was here, I said at 1 am that I HAD to go to bed. He asked me what was wrong with me? ROTFLMAO - I said "I'm sleepy". Yes, it's very nice to be walking on flat ground. They have sidewalks, but there's hardly any traffic, so I walk on the side of the road. The pool here is small but very nice. I enjoyed my time in the sun yesterday.

Steph's really tired today. I sent her to her bedroom and told her to take a nap. She's so stubborn and hates to give up. I told her it was Dr. Mom's orders. She reluctantly minded me and I think she'll emerge feeling much better; at least I hope.

Chris @faerywings you got so much done yesterday. Doesn't it make you feel so good?

Linda @LSlycord I know you're excited for Thanksgiving and then again for the kids to be home for Christmas. Hope Shaun is feeling better. It's chilly here this morning - it was only 68. I walked to the trash bin then to the mailbox and my hoodie and long pants felt good. It's supposed to get into the low 70s by midafternoon. It was much warmer yesterday. I have to go back out in a couple of hours and go down to the mailbox. That's a pretty good little hike. Chuck mailed me a box and I haven't gotten it yet.

Did I tell you girls that when I got here, my hiking/walking shoes were gone? I had them in the zipper part on the top of my bag - they were the only things I put in there. When I got here, my shoes were gone. I had an old pair at home that he's sending me, but I haven't gotten them yet. I keep forgetting that he's not Amazon. Hahaha

Vicky @vickyday your meal last night sounds delish and so does your kitchen fairy. I love those kitchen fairies.

HAGD everybody. Miss you all.
XOXO
