TGIF!!! Wow, this week went by in a blink of the eye. The month is more than half over too. The kids only have 4 weeks left of the Fall Semester.
(which is stressing me out because in May, Cait will graduate from Community College and Leah with graduate with her 4- year degree. My niece and nephew both graduate from High School in June. I better start saving coins just to get everyone gifts)

Why am I so unhappy with everything I do lately? I spent almost the entire day in the kitchen and I made two things and one I remade once and will need to remake it again. Thankfully, the recipe is very forgiving. I poured the lotion bars into two different molds. The one mold-- massage bar style- looked great, the bar soap style looked weird. I remelted the mixture but didn't let it cool enough before I poured it, and all of the exfoliants settled to the bottom. It is one of those mixtures where you have to keep whipping it as it cools. 5 mins in the freezer, whip it up. Another 5, whip... and so on. The second batch was coming up right when I needed to cook dinner and it needed more time in the freezer.
The lotion I made didn't want to thicken and the fragrance isn't what I had hoped for. It is a Vanilla Fig Fragrance oil and it just seemed bland in the lotion. That one I can't redo so it will stay that way. The lotion itself ended up fine and thickened up the way it was supposed to, I was just disappointed in the scent.

I made some of the labels and am adjusting to this new printer. It is all backward from what I am used to. LOL

No accidents for Whisky so that made it a better day!

My mom is coming up today and she, Caitlyn, and I are going to try to do some Christmas shopping. I am seriously lost on ideas. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime since that is where I will most likely be doing all of my shopping on Dec 20th.
I know what I am getting Christopher- a microscope. I think that will be fun for him, I know how much Scott loved all of his. Everyone else-- No freaking clue!

Have any of you been getting promo codes for Shutterfly? Usually this time of year I get a lot of them and I used them all of the time. I have seen nothing.

It is cold and windy here today so I am going to have to dress warmly when we are out. Hope that the weather is nice by you. TTYS!!!

Good afternoon/evening felis! Is it raining again? I hope not. We had some weird rain yesterday but just very windy today.
Did you get to see the Memorial? I hope so. Maybe some photos of that will help you get inspired. I know the feeling that all of my pages look the same. I still haven't been able to get the Color CHallenge page done right.
You are totally right in having pets develop so differently than people. I made sure that I took W outside every time that she looked at me for attention. Good luck with bringing your cats inside for the winter.

Nancy- our day started that way too with just some drizzle and then we had some pretty crazy showers in the afternoon too. haha! I can only imagine the spirited discussion you and your GF had about hockey.
LMK what you think of those books. I need something new to read and they need to be fun books at this point, I can't deal with anything that is too complicated or heavy.

Weren't those photos of Muffin at the vet adorable? You see why I say how much I love our vet!
Luther really is a beautiful dog, I wish I could pet him, he looks so snuggly!

Trudy- sorry about your bad night's sleep and your Gary's snoring. I feel like I am the worst wife ever because my Gray's restless legs keep him on the sofa most nights. I sleep so much better when he does even those I miss snuggling with him.
That is going to be fantastic for you and Heather to go and get pampered together! Cait and I have always wanted to do a Spa Day but since she turned 18, all of our gifts from our family have become practical. Money for Muffins surgery for her, bags of dog food for me. but you know how much we love our babies.
Someday we will get to do that.
That is awesome about your boots. funny that I am more excited about that then the hike but my foot being dry and warm are big issues for me. : pound:

Add me to the Bad Cheery O List too :(

Rae- that kit is phenomenal and I hope to get scrapping with it too.Did you get the lens?

Jean- you are going to do great with your talks. I hope that the rest of the month is very relaxing for you!

good morning - today is sunny and windy. I have some errands to run and Luther is at day care. My Devils lost in OT as the shot hit my player changed directions past my goalie. The score was 1-0. It was exciting but I think I like more goals. My team got a point so that keeps them tied at the top with the Penguins. My team is on the road this weekend so no games but I can watch from the comfort of my couch. LOL. Not much else going on.

Chris glad you at least started on your goodies. I am sure it is not easy but I bet it sure makes your house smell good. How could dinner interrupt your work LOL! Have fun shopping. I bet you find some good stuff! A microscope is so fun! My DH has microscopes that can be connected to a computer and I think to a TV so everyone can see. Amazing to me. It is so the whole class can see what they are supposed to see when they look in the microscope. Christopher will be so happy!

Felis hope you are in the Capitol today having fun with no rain!

Trudy wow a spa day with your daughter how fun is that! You both deserve it! The guys will have a fun time with the kids! Your hike sounds lovely and so glad the rain held off for most of the time. Sorry about your sleep. Snoring is so hard to sleep through. Hope he gets well fast!

Rae so did you make it through the heavier work load day! Hope you got your new lens!

Jean hope your weather is good! We are getting rain all weekend.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies! It is a crisp cold morning and the sun is shining on the fresh snow on top of the mountains, it is just beautiful outside! Well I am officially finished my calendar and will send it out today to get printed up. No one has really seen it yet, (except of course a couple of pages that I posted here) So it will be fun to get it all wrapped up and ready for the big reveal on Christmas morning! I even purchased a gift for Mason yesterday and did a bit of painting on my nativity. DD will not be face timing me this morning as her man is home with Pink Eye and she will be busy taking care of him! Oh well I have lots to catch up on this morning and perhaps will hit the pool for my laps. Not sure how busy the pool is on Fridays now and one reason I changed from going on Fridays was because of how busy it used to be. Then I need to get something for supper, my cupboards and fridge are practically bare.

Chris - That is too bad that your faerywings goodies did not all turn out the way you had hoped! I imagine that the house is heavenly smelling and I bet your lotion will be a big hit even though you are not happy with the scent. I totally get it that you sleep better when your Gary is not there in bed with you, I am the same and have the best sleep when he has left the bed to get to work LOL. Last nights sleep was much better, I went to bed earlier than DH so that I would be asleep before him. I slept right through the night and only woke up once to the sound of his snoring, I poked him to turn over and then fell right back to sleep again. I feel so much better today! Good luck with your shopping trip today! I am stumped as to what to get Isaac and Sadie, I know that they want U.S. money as they are going to Disneyland in April, but thats no fun to open :becky: so I need to figure out what else to get them I have no idea :noidea: The fingerlings are going to be a from Santa gift. Oh well I will get some inspiration at the Red Balloon Toy Store I am sure. That gift for Christopher will be just perfect!

Nancy - I saw that your Devil's lost last night, I am :sorry: darn those Maple Leafs!! Oh well at least your team got the point that they needed. Please send me some of your scrapping mojo today! I hope to get a page done and need some inspiration! Your pages are always so fun and you seem to get them done so quickly! Hope you enjoy your hockey games this weekend from the comfort and warmth of your couch!

Rae - How is your work day going? Did you manage to make a meet with this fellow with the lens? It is fun to get those close up shots isn't it! I wish I had a better lens to get the shots of the eagles that sit in the trees near me. Oh well maybe one day. Too many things on my want list :becky:

Jean - Ha, Ha hope your DH liked the pillow comment, not that I would ever do that of course, but some nights I really do think about it! :becky: Thanks for the reminder about the batteries for the fingerlings! I will have to check but I am pretty sure that they come with those little circle batteries, but perhaps having a few extra on hand would be a good idea!

Felis - I hope you are having a fabulous day in the Capitol today and that the sun is shining down upon you!

Off to make the bed and then get my Calendar shipped off to Staples for printing, hooray I am done, it feels good to have this job taken care of and now on to the next project. Have a wonderful Friday everyone! I hope you get to do something fun today!

Good morning, ladies. I worked hard yesterday and managed to get almost all of the 2nd client's work done. I think this schedule will be ok as I'm getting used to working hard mostly on Monday and Thursday and staying off the computer which helps to keep me focused. Then for the most part, the other days are a bit less hectic.

I'm going to pick up some frozen cranberries this morning and will be making a sugar-free cranberry sauce for dinner at Jen's tonight. Her freezer had broken down so she had to defrost a turkey she had in there and will be cooking it today. I'll bring some side dishes and we'll have a nice dinner together tonight. D is pretty happy b/c usually Friday night dinner is leftovers or a burger or something simple so the thought of turkey, stuffing, gravy, etc has put a smile on his face today :)

I'm doing well on paleo, no cravings, no weight gain, no bloat....all is well. I seem to be doing fine without the dairy, not really missing it. I'm being super strict right now b/c I want to see how good I can get my cholesterol by the end of January when I get retested but after that I might have a bit of cheese or cream here and there but not right now.

I didn't get the lens. The seller flaked out on me (again) so when I heard from them later last night I declined the lens. I decided I will keep my eyes open for a used 50 mm 1.2 at a good price instead. At this time of year I like macro photography b/c scenery pics aren't so pretty now but photographing textures and patterns is fun, also food photography.

Chris - I'm sure your customers know the quality and love that goes into your products and love everything you make. I'll have to go check on FB for the pics of Muffin. I wasn't online much yesterday so didn't see this. Enjoy the shopping time with your mom and C later.

Felis - have a great day with your sister and hope you get the pics you want.

Trudy - glad you got the toys. Isn't it exciting to have your daughter coming in a month? I hate the commercialism of Xmas but love the family time. Hope the pool isn't too busy today.

Nancy - how fun to share your love with sports with your friend.

I'm getting another coffee and getting to work now. I want to stay focused today so I can finish a bit earlier to head out for dinner at Jen's. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

The sun came out today to raise my spirits. Now to concentrate on being ready for tomorrow's talks.

Chris, sorry you had trouble with the F-W process and end result. But you'll get it all worked out I know.

Nancy, also sorry for the OT loss. What a letdown to go scoreless so long then lose. Hope you have better weather today also. We expect rain tonight and probably on the weekend.

Trudy, so good to have the calendar done! Maybe that helped you get a better night's sleep too. Your view outside this morning must have been gorgeous.

Rae, to bad about the lens, but dinner tonight will be fun and yummy.

Felis, hope you had a great day in the capitol and got the pictures.

Hello girls, :gidday
I just jump to say Hi! I'm so tired that I need go to the bed early. I didn't see the Memorial lion, and actually it was disappointing trip in many direction. I hope that tomorrow will can focused on the positives, but tomorrow, now I'm tired and grumpy :boom: .
I prefer to to leave the personal notes for tomorrow so to can catch everything that happened.

Update: Actually the morning was very nice. The documents of my sister becoming ready very fast so I didn't have time to get bored :) . We visited the shop for a natural cosmetics, that we like, and takes few lovely stuff for gifts. After that have a lunch at a sweet little vegan restaurant. I don't eat out often, because don't like strangers to makes my food. But was nice diversity and was tasty!
And then, suddenly, I make so stupid mistake. I'm not understand correct and we takes the tram , when actually we are needed the bus with the same number. How can I guess that both have same number, same bus stop, but different directions. The driver did not want to help us, and she even start yelling on us why we waste her time to ask, when the lines are under renovation from few months and she isn't some kind of information desk. We was very upset from her rude behavior, on a wrong place, and at this time was start to fall first raindrops. So we decided to give up from the memorial and just to go to the shopping center. Other family can find this for fun and even adventure, but not mine, nope! Me with hurt pride because of the my mistake and my sister upset because of the rudeness of the driver, we start argue one each other. The phone map is totally unusable when you can't have consensus for the directions. So we finished using the old google - asking people. We was lucky to meet many responsive and kind people, who explained us and some even comes with us to show part of the road. I don't know how this happened, probably we stayed too long in the first tram, but we needed tree others and much walking, before to can go to the shopping center. Of course this additional tickets wasn't in the plan so was a punch for our budget, and another reason for argue and bad mood. So we buy only one (already planned) thing. And couldn't like anything for the Christmas, just got really tired. We both don't have a problem to walk long, but not in modern boots, which makes our feet very painful. Finally we gave up and just sit and wait bored, till comes the meeting with the car with which we went back home.

The one really cool thing at the afternoon was that I saw Pepper the robot, was so exciting! I know it's a only machine, but feeling is strange. And I was saw him on the web but now was here affront of me,so unusual and exciting. The future start happen!

Totally expected I slept very badly, so I preferred to get up early and to take on with the yesterday's tasks.

Chris, I hope you got better luck with the Christmas shopping, than us! :) Like you I also thought that in the web I'm saw same things on better price! Not only at Amazon, but also on a brands sites, the same things, but can catch discounts. I expect the Black Friday! I also had a microscope when was child and was so much fun, great idea!

Nancy, I have no doubt, that you'll make the watch from the couch pleasure and funny experience! Did you enjoyed your book series?!

Trudy, I was thinking that you'll be ready for the Black friday to print your calendar, but you did it even early, bravo! Hope the pool wasn't too busy! Like the others already told, I also think that the nice hiking boots are something really wonderful! Oh, you're so right, I'm more than happy that today we gone to the grocery store, hope this weekend finally to can scrap, bonus ''my time'' is so good! Hope your husband is feeling better!

Rae, how great that you will be on dinner with Jen! Hope the freezer can be repaired! I love to watch macro photography, will be so interesting to see your photos! Fingers crossed to find some good lens soon!

Jean, I wish you good luck on the today/tomorrow's talks, but I'm sure you don't need it, because you are excellent prepared! I so good understand you about the need to to journal and finish it your weekly page, there is where I struggle too. I took some nice photos at the capitol, and I have idea for mine page this week, but I need to consider the text for it.

Have a lovely weekend, my dears!
