What a spectacular Friday here in NJ! Sunny and close to 80*! :whoo:
Yesterday was the same, a little cooler, but wonderful being outside. Gary and I worked on the patio together. well, sort of together. He moved all of the 'junk" and trimmed the hedges and cleaned up the needles/branches. When he was done with that, I swept the rest of it and washed some of the dirt away. He was able to move some of the junk back near the hedges and I will work on the middle section today or tomorrow.

Cait and I went to the FP together so she got to meet the woman who works there who I always say is such a doll. When I introduced them, I said that to Cait and Sandy told Cait how nice I am too. I know that Cait knows this completely but it always os good to show the "little ones" *grins* that life is much nicer when you are kind to people.

Cute story- Cait and Brendan went to breakfast the other day and the waitress was really sweet. She left a note with the tip saying how she was amazing and hope that she had a great day. The waitress ran out to the parking lot as they were driving away, blowing them a kiss. If I have done nothing else of worth in life, at least I know that I raised two incredible kids.

My mom is coming over today to help me plan for this party. I have to get into the attic to see what kinds of paper goods I have and what I might need. If we can, Gary and I want to head to the small farm and pick up some tomato plants for the summer.

Have a fab day! ::grouphug

Trudy- Did Shaw get to you and finish what they had to do so you could enjoy the rest of your day? Happy that your weather was nice as well. What time are the g-kids coming today? Hope you have a great time together tonight and tomorrow.

Who here has any scrap mojo or are we all out of it at the moment? Sorry that so many of us are having that issue.

Jean- good things are good, no matter what size they are. :D

Felis- I know that I have shared my story of how I met Gary before but in case you hadn't seen it, I will share it again. When I met Gary, I was absolutely done with guys. I had a couple of disastrous long-term relationships and didn't want to deal with that again. When I say disastrous, I mean it. Bad. One night, I was on my way out to a bar with 2 girlfriends, one of whom had a fake ID. This time around, they didn't accept it so we ended up going to her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's birthday party. This is how wacky it all occurred that I was even where I was. So here I am, totally sworn off dating, when I walked into this party I had no plans to be at when I saw Gary. Immediately said to myself- this is the man I am going to marry. And here were are, almost 28 years later and I am still head over heels for him. As for kids, my brother is 52 and his wife is 54 and their son is 7. So you just never know. :)

Usually, we have a May Bash where we celebrate all of the family birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day since we have so many that occur. This time we will be having it in June and it will be for even more days, anniversaries, and graduations. Everyone will bring something so that makes it easier and having it here works so Gary can be part of it. really am good at putting it together, but this year I am nowhere near ready or organized for having 20+ people here. :faint:

Such a lovely Friday, indeed!

It started with morning coffee with my acquaintance and the new episode of Humans, which was just spectacular!!! She will be out of the town for the weekend and gave me her tablet to can I watch Riverdale (for which Nancy told me), because of course they have access to its episodes. Who did such a things for almost stranger, she is such a sweetie?! After that I made a walk across the town (I suppose that one of your neighbourhood is with the size of mine whole town :) ), and it was so pretty. Right now in every yard bloom some rose or peony. Usually we are pass from there in car, so I wasn't saw them. I was planned to work at the yard this afternoon, but it's start to rain, and rained a lot. So I made my biger weekend clean up of the cat house today and will try to do some gardening tomorrow. Then we took Tiny to the dog walk immediately after the rain stopped, because it can start again any minute. We went to our favorite path through the field and it was lovely but very muddy experience. So now I'll jump here and then go to watch the series.

Happy 44 wedding anniversary, Nancy! Be happy and in love many more years! You are inspiration! :champagne:champagne

Chris, you was told before that you are met Gary, when you was absolutely done with date. But I don't remember to was hearing it so detailed. And even if I am, I never can be tired to listen such a kind of stories! So thanks for share it and ohh so sweet! You 're lucky person!
Oh, so this Bash is one big celebration of everything, SOO cool! Hope you have good weather and can make amazing garden party! This with the tomato plants sounds great to me! And how lovely that you and Gary are made garden team yesterday! The story about Cait is actually cute, but not surprised me at all! It's totally in your stile. Someone who brings cookies at vet cabinet, definitely will left kindly notes to the waitress.

I suppose Trudy is with the kids. Have fun, dear!

Jean and Rae, I hope to hear both of you later!

And have a lovely weekend and sunny weather you all! :fish2::choclove

Can you believe, another beautiful, sunny day here! DH did his early morning bird survey and now is napping. The birds he had were mostly the summer residents, so the spring migrants seem to be gone. Trees are mostly in full leaf, so it must be summer already. And I seem to be thinking of scrapping. I did my week 20 but still have to do 19. And Joanne's road trip challenge has me looking for ideas. The cousin thing may be progressing as we had no news yesterday. Fingers crossed on that.

Chris, for sure Cait is a reflection of you for something like the note to the server. Yup, both great kids. Looking forward to your June Bash as it will make for great stories and (hopefully) lots of scrap opportunities. So nice Gary will be part of it.

Felis, even with the rain your day sounds really nice. Did you take photos of some of the flowers along your walk? I have no idea what the neighbors think, but I do that here. What about pictures of Tiny?

Wishing everyone on a lovely weekend, a long one in the US.

:hello: everyone... I am very late arriving here today, actually started a post first thing this morning, then Heather called and I closed my browser  Oh well I will try again. Shaw did not show up until 3 in the afternoon, I was not impressed!! However the workers had said that they were told of no timeline to arrive, just that it had to be done that day. Anyway they were a great couple of guys and we shared a few laughs and told a few good stories! The switch is now complete and everything seems to be working just fine! I am now waiting for the kids to arrive as they could not leave until after they got out of school, so should be here by 4:30/5pm just in time to help me out with dinner LOL. I had a nice long talk with Heather and Hunter this morning and then spent the rest of the day trying to get my printer to connect to the new wireless :gaah: it was driving me crazy so then I searched the entire house for the cable to hard wire it to the computer, of course no luck! So I ended up stealing the cable off of DH's printer and got the things that I needed printed out and then had to put the cable back. Hopefully I can convince my son to take a look at the printer when he gets here. Sheesh its always something!!

Chris - Of course it is no surprise to all of us that Cait is a kind and caring person, look who her Momma is!! You are a wonderful parent my friend and you have so much to be thankful for with your family! I hope you and your mother get everything organized for the party and that the nice summer weather continues for you! BTW I love your story about how you and Gary met and fell in love!

Felis - how nice of your friend to lend you her tablet! She must trust you very much as I am sure that you are a very trustworthy kind of person! I will continue to hope that one day you will find happiness with someone! You just watch one day love will find you and sweep you off of your feet LOL. So glad that you were able to get outside and enjoy the nicer weather before it started raining again. Look at all you got accomplished waiting for the rain to stop! I hope that you have a lovely evening and a wonderful sleep!

Jean - Glad to hear that your sunny weather continues! Your DH must have been up before birds to be napping now! Hope he saw lots of beautiful birds! Glad to hear that you are thinking of scrapping again, wish I did :pout: I just don't seem to be able to get past the blank screen in my photoshop!
