Almost there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!12 more hours til the weekend.

I can do it, I think I can, I think I can......
Chalk up some more aggravation to my day yesterday. I got home from work, in desperate need of a shower, only to find that as soon as I hopped in-- no hot water. Not at all! No water pressure either unless it was full blast cold. It did not make for a good shower at all. In fact, I have had way better showers at campgrounds when I would have to throw quarters in to get water out.
I asked gary about how his shower was, and he says, Oh yeah, I had that too. I say to him, It must be time for our coils to get cleaned (on the furnace/water heater). He calls a bit later- and they can't come until Tuesday. I am so glad I am going to be away this weekend!LOL

And we have another day of rain here.... but at least Sat and Sun look good! yay!!!!

I hope that all of you are having better luck than I am. :bounce:

Finish It Friday:
Pay Bills, laundry and pack!!!

Kristy!!! That hubby of yours-- how sweet!!!! :)
I love those signs, I have been seeing them in different varieties all over FB and Pinterest. I know I have seen one that says Keep Calm and Drink Vodka. Gary...hint, hint...... ;)

Hope your ankles are better today- I always wished that they had those little carts when my guys wee little, but maybe I should be glad that they didn't.

Trudy- that sounds like a wonderful job for your Gary!! And maybe even a vacation in there for you--awesome!!

I have to check out your video too- maybe that will keep me going until I can get outta here tomorrow *wink*

Oh no, Laurie!!! I hope that you can find that leak quickly and easily! if you find your normal setting soon, can you help me find mine??

Phyllis- I think yesterday was a bit calmer.... heh!! The boys walked over to the store and grabbed some frozen pizzas... whew! But burritos-- that is actually a decent idea- I know I have cans of refried beans in the house, throw on some ricer, and cheap and easy for sure.
And "good" news about the car- we have the same insurance agent as my dad, so they are fine with going through us to get all info/paperwork filed. Whew!!!

*sighs* better get going and take my cold shower.....

You can say that safely because you live in Europe!

Not only will I be cursing my freezing cold shower, I have a **terrible** singing voice!
LOL

i think Chris will be shreiking in the shower until she gets to PA and some warm water, V! Chris, is there anything worse than a cold shower? well, at least it probably "woke you up." i hope you have great weather this weekend. i think all your rain came up the coast. we never did get any rain for at least the last 5 days.

Laurie, how's the water leak thing? you know, "water" is one of the reasons why we've kept our basement as a "basement." i am so afraid that water, somehow, would end up ruining any improvements we made down there. we mitigated a small radon prob down there which resulted from our waterproofing the basement and having a sump pump hole dug into the wonderful, radon-filled Pennsylvania dirt. BTW have you all done radon testing n your basements, if you'r in an are that has the problem? you really should. cheap First Alert Radon test available on Amazon.

it's going to 87 today. looks like a cookout dinner tonight. i had the oven on yesterday and thought i was having a 3-hour-long hot flash. maybe i'll attempt to cut some grass on our 45-year-old lawn tractor. (i'm not kidding.it really IS that old, or older....) poor hubby spends a lot of time over the weekends cutting grass. we have a TON of it. i usually refuse to get on the tractor because of safety concerns. it's way too big for me, it has NO seat cushion, and our property is mostly a hill. then i think i'd better address the pile of paper that piled up on my side of the kitchen counter. and fold some laundry. thrilling.

this is a weekend to REMEMBER, USA peeps. all those boys and girls were somebody's babies. bless them all.

Hi HOney(s)! I'm hOme!

We got home from Italy last night and godbless my son who picked us up at the airport, after a flight delay outa Newark. Then the road from the airport to their house (where our car stayed) had a major accident and so we sat some more there with him. :car:

Finally got to their house - no one wanted hugs cause they'd been doing housework etc all day but I said we'd been in OUR clothes for a looong time and suspected we were not so sweet smelling either. Hugging ensued!

We ordered Chinese carryout and had a good sit down chat. Finally we had to get in our car and head back to MD as the rain started with a light drizzle the whole way. We have nothing planned for this long weekend other than catch up on all the odds and ends after a long trip. I have one load of laundry in now..I call it the 'not-important' dark clothes i.e. socks etc that don't need any attention when out of the dryer.

Today's main job for me is groceries...somehow my dh still wants to eat! Oh..he lost a pound or two on the trip while I gained 5. I ate more bread and starch than I ever eat :pizza: and not always by choice. Oh well....time to do the move more ASAP I know.

AND today is our wedding anniversary...11 years! about 90% of the time happy too. I'll sign up for more time with him.:hug:and he says the same.

ohh i need one that says "Keep Calm and Drink Rum" hahahahahaha

Happy Anniversary Maureen!!!!!

I was gonna cook out tonight too Phylis til the weather decided it wants to rain tonight! BOO!

welcome back, Maureen! and Happy Anniversary! i have a feeling there are going to be some cool multi-foto pages in the gallery soon!

Kristy. rum and Diet Coke whould do the job for me! a few of those and i'd be positively Zen.

Kids are out of school today and Monday.....

They were piled into my bed around 6:45 this morning...that was sweet for about 2 minutes then they start hollering "I'M HUNGRY"...Wow!!

yeah...this is suppose to be the time in my life that I live by no alarm clock and get out of bed and leisurely fix breakfast whenever I feel like it...sigh.....

Okay....Off to pick up the handful of things I forgot at Walmart yesterday....like I didn't spend enough when the bill was $338.....

Jaiden needs her glasses fixed...AGAIN..so we are doing that while we are out...then we might just swing by and have a nice starbucks coffee...well me....Sharon is getting off at 12...and my Mom is picking Jesse and Jaiden up around 2....Traci is coming over to see them.....so they are spending the night....I have the whole day tomorrow. Not sure what we will do...but if I get my way...we are going on a drive on the parkway to take pictures!!!!

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A FABULOUS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies a beautiful sunny morning!! Thanks for sending it my way!! So looking forward to the weekend! Supper with my brother and SIL whom we have not seen since we picked them up at the airport from Aussie land. Looking forward to their stories and pictures, we always have lots of laughs with them!
