It is Friday! And I have nothing planned for today. :whoo:
This was a very mentally "long" week. Physically, I am hanging, nothing too out of the ordinary. But dang, my head has been spinning around like a washing machine cycle on steroids. :washing:
Jaida and Floyd (omg-- I almost typed Merlin here, miss you dear boy!) did Ok at the vet. It was nice having Gary there to pick her up on the exam table since she kept jumping off. Floyd hung out in the carrier, they took him in the back to do his blood work and brought him back in the carrier. That part was pretty easy. He has lost weight so we have to give him an appetite stimulant. Blood work should be back today and we are hoping that he is stabilizing.
My mom called when I got home, she has her phone and internet service back. She had been checking her emails and was running late which was really good because she had planned on going shopping in Mount Olive.
She decided not to go since she heard that there were a bus accident and lots of traffic where she would have been. I didn't think too much of it since it seems there are always accidents happening in the area. Around lunchtime, I popped online and saw the news and photos of the accident. it was of a school bus and dump truck. The bottom of the bus- wheels and all- were separated from the bus and the top of the bus was flipped on its side. Sadly 2 people died, one student and one teacher. I am shocked that it wasn't more. When I saw those photos, my heart dropped. It was *bad.* Lot of injuries, but hopefully they will all recover quickly. Good thoughts to the kids and school and families~~~~
Aside from the vet, I had a quiet day. Cleaned out my closet, made some sweet potato dog treats.
Today is it supposed to be cloudy, rain in the afternoon but I want to try to get out and clean up the branches that from the tree limb that fell.
Have a wonderful day!!
