It is Friday! And I have nothing planned for today. :whoo:

This was a very mentally "long" week. Physically, I am hanging, nothing too out of the ordinary. But dang, my head has been spinning around like a washing machine cycle on steroids. :washing:
Jaida and Floyd (omg-- I almost typed Merlin here, miss you dear boy!) did Ok at the vet. It was nice having Gary there to pick her up on the exam table since she kept jumping off. Floyd hung out in the carrier, they took him in the back to do his blood work and brought him back in the carrier. That part was pretty easy. He has lost weight so we have to give him an appetite stimulant. Blood work should be back today and we are hoping that he is stabilizing.
My mom called when I got home, she has her phone and internet service back. She had been checking her emails and was running late which was really good because she had planned on going shopping in Mount Olive.

She decided not to go since she heard that there were a bus accident and lots of traffic where she would have been. I didn't think too much of it since it seems there are always accidents happening in the area. Around lunchtime, I popped online and saw the news and photos of the accident. it was of a school bus and dump truck. The bottom of the bus- wheels and all- were separated from the bus and the top of the bus was flipped on its side. Sadly 2 people died, one student and one teacher. I am shocked that it wasn't more. When I saw those photos, my heart dropped. It was *bad.* Lot of injuries, but hopefully they will all recover quickly. Good thoughts to the kids and school and families~~~~

Aside from the vet, I had a quiet day. Cleaned out my closet, made some sweet potato dog treats.

Today is it supposed to be cloudy, rain in the afternoon but I want to try to get out and clean up the branches that from the tree limb that fell.

Have a wonderful day!!

Nancy- what a drizzly, dreary day we had. I want to see some sun too. It is very green so that is nice, though. How do you stay up so late watching hockey? :D Wow, the pre-game show sounds amazing! I hope that the weather on Saturday turns better for the wedding. At least with graduation, everything is inside.

Trudy- that forestry station looks beautiful. I bet Scott would love to hike there. Too bad you are on the other side of the continent. That is very sad about your BIL. Sadder for SIL having to care for him. You are a great sister supporting her as you do. You have to play Cranium again- it is so much fun!

FELIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you and Macho!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure that you will spoil him and fatten him up. Smart to bring him in just to get a checkup. Cuddle him extra for me!

What a great day with him and with being able to watch the tv show with a "friend." We would probably use the word acquaintance or "someone I am friendly with." LOL
I haven't tried anything homeopathic, but I have some essential-oil based lotion that I will use on my shoulder. Thank goodness for microwave heat packs. I use them a lot.

Love and hugs!

Morning O-zies!! I am awake super early, just could not fall back to sleep after getting up for a trip to the washroom. Ugh I hate it when that happens! Tossing and turning and wondering if I should get up and do something, or just keep trying to go back to sleep again?? It is so frustrating!! :frusty: Anyway figured what the heck I may as well come out to the computer and start my day here. Cool and overcast so far this morning, but hopefully it will turn out to be a nice day! I hope to get to the pool, as long as I can stay awake that long LOL. Nothing else much planned for the day, so perhaps I will get a bit of inspiration to make a page?? Just not much mojo going on for me lately.

Chris - Glad to hear that the Vet visit went well and keeping my fingers crossed for Floyd that the blood work shows some improvement! Good thing your Mother did not go on her planned trip! That accident sounds so horrible! What sad news that there were fatalities, always so heartbreaking to hear! Yes Scott would love the forestry station as a matter of fact there are still many students that get to stay there and study the forest, they even have their own cook! I think that it is sometimes used as a retreat for some groups too. A beautiful piece of property for sure! I hope that they keep it the way it is and don't sell it to developers ever!! Hope you get a chance to get the branches cleaned up and that the sun comes out for you soon!

Felis - I am so very happy for you that your Macho has returned!!

:bliss: Little stinker made you worry so much! I am sure that you will take such good care of him and perhaps a visit to the Vet will not be necessary. It really does help to have everyone sending you positive and loving vibes! Love that you have a good acquaintance to share your enjoyment of this show with! Now the sunshine is returning to you also, it is a good day that is for sure! I hope this happiness continues for you!

:hello: to everyone else that pops in today! I will catch up with you all later on in the day!

good morning - Such a sad day in NJ. As Chris describe a horrible school bus accident that took the lives of a teacher and a student and injured 43 other adults and kids. They are now thinking that the bus driver was making an illegal turn because he missed an exit. So sad. Also another grey and damp day but heavy rain does not come until tonight and then tomorrow lots of rain. Today I have to figure out what to wear tomorrow to the wedding. I wish like a man I could just wear a suit LOL. This dressing up is for young people not for me any more. OH well. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. The hockey game was exciting and now the series is tied 2-2 so at least 2 more games. The home teams have lost each game - home is supposed to be an advantage but not in here. Tonight is not so late as they are starting the game in Las Vegas at 5pm so it starts on the east coast at 8pm. Yea now only if it does not go into overtime.

Chris so glad that your pets are doing ok and hope the results are good for Floyd. So glad your mother did not get caught in the tragedy on the highway. The photos of the bus just torn off its wheels was so scary and sad and I did not even think that could happen.

Trudy sometimes it is just good to be awake with the birds. Your hike and the photo so cool. Hope your weather is wonderful this weekend and you get lots accomplished.

Felis I am so happy that Macho is home where he belongs. Of course he is mad at being inside after he fun time being on his own and outside. LOL. So glad you watched your show and it is fun to have friends that like the same show and can talk about it. My girlfriend and I talk at dinner about the show Riverdale. I got them hooked and we love it.

Jean and Rae waving hi!

Have a great day all!

Hello girls,
as I mentioned this morning the power come and gone whole day. It was announced in advance, but still was very annoying. I realized too late that my refrigerator at the cat house is from the old kind and if it stayed turn off more than few minutes the ice on it start to defrost. So I finished with wet floor and whole refrigerator full with chickens boiled and the worst part some of them still just flesh. Not nice at all. So I spend long time to clean and boil. It's takes me much more than the predicted and when I finally was ready to mow, it was start rain. The whole day was sunny and on a dog walk was even hot, so this change surprised me. :rain: Forecast shows drizzly for the whole weekends. So looks like the mow couldn't be in the list, because exist danger the cable to be use at wet grass. I don't have any plans for the weekend, and will try to be quiet one, with reading and hopefully scraping!

Chris, Hope the news from the vet are good! Oh, 'acquaintance' I have to remember this, thanks!
So sad about this traffic accident! They happened so often, so I try to not listened the news when it's possible. Here they call it 'The war on the roads' and often make associations how many people are died in car accidents and in the war at Irak, Afghanistan or some other place with actual war conflict at this month. It's so heartbreaking!

Trudy, oh, I too hate when this happened to me! I hope you'll could to get short nap later, or this will become one exhausting day. I also hope for you that it will turn out to be a nice day and will brings you some scrap inspiration! Are you tried first to browse some kits and to left them to shows you some idea?

Nancy, sorry, but you aren't right at any age have charm and style! I think the problem is that you're left the decision what to wear on tomorrow's wedding for the last minute, but hope you are find the best decision! I vote for skirt and shirt or dress. I'm not familiar with 'Riverdale', but have to check it. Yes, it's always more fun to have with how to discuss the show after that!

Jean and Rae, hope you are good!

Have a lovely weekend you all! :drum:
